if you had a non-shaker air box and let the air ram through the blinker hole inlet and let the air coming thought the shaker dump air on the intake, makes a big difference
I have a 2016 Shaker RT Plus that is my daily driver. when I took the shaker off, the rear 2 washers were rusting. I’m guessing it’s because I park my car outside on a slight incline. Water must collect back there. We get heavy rain storms in Florida. Another issue is the front drain hole that is located over the serpentine belt. The belt makes a loud squealing noise when I start it up first thing in the morning.
Nice follow up man. Hadn't seen anything from you in a while! You'll get more heat soak, cuz you don't have the heat absorbing material like the regular hood does. A couple things to that'll help are a larger radiator, & a 160° or 180° thermostat. Mishimoto makes a nice, aluminum rad for about 2 bills. It's a bit larger, but it's a direct replacement for the stock rad. It adds between a half & 3/4 of a gallon of coolant. Thermostats are pretty cheap, or at least used to. They were going for like $30.
what's up! I know its been a while that I've been loading videos consistently. I just wasn't feeling like my normal self. I did look into replacing the radiator with an aluminum version. I know it would definitely run cooler. I not sure what to do next to the car beside maintenance. I want to keep it looking great so my kids can drive some day.
@@scatspeed3114 I know what you mean man. This past year, year & a half has been crazy! The aluminum rad is a great upgrade. Planning to do that myself soon. I already put an aluminum overflow tank & silicone hoses. Love how it looks since my Chally is black too. If you wanna do more mods, obviously you got a lot of options on exhaust. Although, aren't you're in CA? I guess that really limits now with their crazy laws. I guess that just leaves cosmetics, like you already did with your seats. Although I have heard good things about the Sultans of Spark coil packs. 10 hrsprs just by swapping the OEM for those. As for protecting the car, can't beat the ceramic coatings.
I plan on doing the shaker on mine. I couldnt find or order a stick shift with the shaker. I do want OEM parts not the Cervini hood and scoop. I expect it will be around 10k total, and I will have them paint, which might as well add the matte black stripes I want on the car, with red thinline accents. It will be my own design for the color. Hard to describe but very 80s. The other thing I want is the dash, and center console with the red stitching. That will be a pricey penny. I may have to look at salvage cars for that. Performance wise, meh, I dont want mine for fastnest, I want it for making me smile. I do have a go fast Wide Body Charger and a Super Stock which is undescribable, even in eco mode lol.
Thanks for the video, this is a OEM hood (aluminium?) 2 question, is OEM always unpainted or can you order them in original color? and how sturdy is this OEM? I have a aluminium redeye hood (i think it is aftermarket). Wehen i open and close the hood, the location where the hinges attache to the hood bend over a bit, like the is not enought strength in the material. Thanks!
I still love my hood. I would recommend it. I agree on the heat soak and it does cool the engine bay faster when ur on the throttle. I plan to find a way to install an interchiller or sumn. I just need a person who can put my idea into real life
I know buddy. Especially when you light up the tires and you see the shaker hood moving around. It’s a memorable experience to say the least. Too bad we can do much about the heat soak.
@@scatspeed3114 i want to get that Scalia Motorsport riser kit for the shaker. It raiaes the scoop for a more agressice look and shake but I wonder if it will let air flow where the heat soak is.
Love the video bro! Would heavy rain do anything to the shaker? I live in Seattle so it rains yearly. Waiting on the 2023 version and trying to decide what to get.
No issues in heavy rain. The shaker has drains up front close to the radiator. Dodge is dropping the ball on the 392s. Hopefully they start turning things around in 2023. Choose wisely
Dude I don't use that touch up rattle can stuff fr orielly it's junk. Most of your local body shop suppliers in town will make you a good laquer 2 part system custom color in a huge rattle can with a huge beautiful spray pattern and higher pressure and comes out like glass the clear i use it's called 2knclear in spray can you gotta pop a ball in it to activate the hardner and only place you can get the 2k is online and local body shop supplier. Don't get it confused with 2x Rust-Oleum hard ware store stuff completely different and lay about 6 coats and wet sand each coat of clear with 800grit to 8000 grit between coats
I'm really focused on getting the body work ready for paint on my Barracuda. I haven't really had much time to work on the challenger. What would you like to see from the Scat Pack?
I love the shaker hood it really sets these cars apart from anything on the road. I put wireless led lights under mine for a little extra personality!
How do you that!?
@@GreenDragonofAmerica I have the video posted on my channel

Does this fit on a 2014 Shaker model?
I agree with having it painted. Flat black makes it look like a freaking shoe box.

Awesome Scat《☆》Rattle paint is holding up well👍🤓Some heat extractor vents would be Kool🔊
I used Eastwood 2k Satin black. It’s automotive grade paint. It works very well but it doesn’t match the factory finish.

Is shaker or ta better
It depends on what you like. The TA runs cooler. The shaker run hotter.
