*NAH! Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak! 807hp, just learn how to feather the throttle upon launch and don't drop the hammer completely until you are moving. Be your own traction control. This is like saying to buy a classic Dodge with the 383 when the most desirable are 440 or 426 hemi. God loves a good burnout.*
Ya u just Chrysler 300 s 2019 and it get to like 60 right away and so I have to slow down and it fells like I just get to 50 55 like right away but it's all wheel drive I needed a all wheel drive for my dad's doctor's appointment and I needed fit a wheel chair Easley I am in Colorado also so gotta have 4 wheel
I traded my scat for a cat. I feel like if you’re scared of the power simply use the black key. Knowing I have the power rather I use it or not is the reason I bought my Hellcat
@@Skkrt_skrrt707 Always has to be someone like you making an attacking comment for no reason. I have a scooter that I use in the park. I live in a large metro area with constant traffic. There isn't a highway here where I can use all the power of a Hellcat at any point. It's just not possible here.
@@beto_lsx497 Not a Hellcat with over 700 hp there isn't. Not on crowded highways. Maybe it's different where you are, but it's not possible on highways by me. If anyone attempts it, it is both a stupid move, and a criminal one. It will DEFINITELY result in jailtime.
I sold my Hellcat about a month ago. I live in a major city and as you said I could never use all the power. Racing ppl from light to light is not worth the money to own one. Definitely a great car but I love money more 💯
@@srtkaye2010 If you take the car to a track or on the highway you can fool. You can’t mod a scat with having major issues or something breaking. Scars are big and slow and there’s plenty of videos on UA-cam that agree. A scat owner would kill for a cat. This guy is contradicting himself
@@kingfancy7317 homie I really don’t care. I had my Hellcat for two years and i never used all the power. Sold it and cashed out 20k. Have fun on the highway 💯
I didn't use all the power my Scat Pack had. Cashed it out for a profit when the world went crazy. I'm now driving a GT and saving over $1,000 a month over a Hellcat. There's a reason some people live paycheck to paycheck.
It's like I was watching myself in the video.. I had a Scat Pack for 2 years, and upgraded to Hellcat. Your points are all dead on. The best thing about the car is you can tell your friends you have a Hellcat.. The only time I really can get on it is on the onramps, and for that few seconds it is a total rush,, but is that really worth the extra $20.-.30k? Then I thought about downgrading to a Scat Pack again, but just couldn't bring my to do it.. I mean, bro, it's a Hellcat! If I sold the Hellcat I could buy A brand new kick butt Scat plus a new winter car. It would be hard to let go of it, but it makes a lot of sense. Whenever someone asks me about buying a HC, I ALWAYS recommend getting a Scat instead. I really do miss it
Analogous to this video, I previously owned an R/T and upgraded to a loaded Widebody Scat Pack, and, overall I'm happy with my decision, but I do miss the simplicity, the lower cost, and better gas mileage of the R/T.
100% facts here!!! I’ve Had them both, Hellcat and SCAT, and now I drive a 5.7 RT.. I just personally enjoy it so much more for a daily and everyday life. To each their own. Love your ride, Excellent video!!! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
@@Theycallmekenney I drive the cat daily. But the scat and 5.7 I would be 100% happy with too. I had a scat for a year now I have had a cat for a year both are great
My guy dropping nothing but FACTS! Not one lie was told. I agree one hundred percent. I've owned both a scatpack then moved to a hellcat and my insurance would not insure the hellcat so I had to switch insurance companies. It was way more power than I ever needed.
That’s a really good point. When I drove the Tesla Model S, as soon as I pressed the gas it was time to take my foot off because I was already at 60. It makes it less fun. I rather a car that’s a little slower so I can enjoy it.
For a 140 Grand and a 1000 HP The Model S Plaid better be fast ! Modify a Challenger Super Stock or New 2022 Redeye Jail Break to a 1000 HP And it will be just as fast as the Plaid !!
The "deciding factor" between Scat and HC was that I wanted the adaptive cruise control (not available on the HC). I do a lot more "touring" than I do "racing" and there are times when you can just set the ACC and enjoy the breeze. Of course there is always a little "HC envy" when one passes you but I love my plum crazy Scat pack WB.
Love my Scat. Paid $36k daily driven. Declined a hellcat at the time of purchase for all these reasons plus I wanted an N/A. I’ve always had boosted cars and actually wanted an N/A V8 for once in my life. Glad I went that route.
This is a very useful video because I was thinking about moving from RT to a scat pack which I might do. But outside the price of a Hellcat you give us real world experience of owning one. And it puts in exotic car territory. Scatpack is the one for me.
Personally I love my scat pack. With the horsepower statement I agree with 100%. Unless you racing the vehicle and it gets actually track use is one thing. I think 400-500 hp is completely reasonable for everyday road use for regular people. Also with that range you can still race it and depending on the driver you can beat a 700hp car.
Sorry phone cut off I am yet to meet anything that can put down over 200 ft of rubber no brakes line locking is for pussies and I've had guys on Rice rockets breaking the fucking wrist trying to get away from me I have 292 gears in the rear end and it takes off like a rocket welded diff helps but it will still smoke the tires 40 miles an hour or less
I'm that guy, you were talking to me. This video was so refreshing when compared to all the stereotypical videos, that just gloss over the actual logistics of owning one of these cars. THANK YOU, for the realistic input. Before I saw this video, in September I opted to go WB SCAT, figuring out on my own everything you just said and was looking for validation of my choice when confronted with he last hurrah HellCat craze. Again thank You. These are the considerations people need to see in the community when making their purchasing decision.
It's so nice living in these times where you can see people complaining about too much Hp!!!! I love it. Stay safe thank for the Video. I plan on upgrading from a 15 Rt Challenger.
Lots of people gets Hellcats just to say they have one. I debated on getting one at one point but I decided to get my Scatpack Widebody and I must say it’s a very fun car to drive
I just bought a Scat Pack and I considered the Hellcat but in the end I went through the same mental process as you, and decided for Scat Pack. Nice video.
Great points! Exactly why I purchased my 2021 Scat Pack Widebody back in May of this year vs a Hellcat. Have about 4800 miles on it so far and it's fantastic and way more power than I need for a daily driver. Of course I have a Ram 2500 for days when it's too wet or icy, otherwise the Scat Pack is a fantastic ride and has more power than I can actually use without losing traction. I don't ever plan to drag with it, so it's perfect for me. Love the channel!
I used to have the same problem when I was in highschool in 1998 driving a 1975 Lincoln that my grandparents gave me (one hub cap , one headlights, front windows wouldn't rolled down) - so yea I know what you mean 😂😂
Brilliant as always bro! These tips are precious from a Hellcat owner who is so passionate about his vehicle, still he recommends for another trim! Keep up this lovely beast and Merry Christmas :)
I couldn't agree with you more on the points you've made! I recently traded in my Scat Pack, in Hellraisin, for a Redeye and while the Redeye is a blast to drive, the Scat Pack has plenty of power and is truly the sweet spot of the lineup!
You can manage the power in the 392 better than the Hellcat.I personally find the 392,to be the better car, from an all around perspective.Yes the Hellcat is more powerful, but it's not necessarily faster from a 0-60.
I have a 2019 Challenger Scat Pack in Destroyer Grey, Love the car and would not think about trading up to a Hellcat. I went from a 2015 Challenger R/T, to the Scat but couldn't justify buying a 700HP car knowing I would probably never be able to really use it and yes the obvious cost difference. I got my Scat for 35K and the Hellcats were 75K-80k slightly used. I agree with everything you said. Happy New Year Mopar Fam
I totally agree; Got my 2021 Daytona 392 for $41k with 21k miles on it and extended warranty. The power that I have with the few bolt ons I've added leaves me fulfilled. 510 to the crank is more than enough for me and I rarely ever send it
I just bought a brand new Scat. LOVE IT! But I have entertained the thought of owning a HC. Not gonna happen. Your points were honest and true. Thanx for the vid.
You convinced me to order a Scat over a Cat! I picked out the F8 Green Wide Body, with a few custom options. Was told roughly 2 months. My wife and I are REALLY excited!!
Hellcat is awesome. Scatpack is also awesome and more practical. It's also way cheaper. Love my charger scatpack. It's awesome. Never had a car like this. 485 HP. Haven't had any issues with it. It's a 2023. Great points.
Peace king... I definitely appreciate this video and the information in this video... I have a 2016 SRT392 HEMI! And I get exactly what you're saying! And it makes me feel better about my car after listening to this video...
@Father kamp I live in Phoenix so I'm not sure about the car in winter conditions but the widebody won't let you down. The traction on the scatpack widebody is amazing.
Awesome video and perspective from owning both vehicles. Us ScatPack owners always drool over the HellCats power but don’t realize you can never really put all that power to the street. Keep cranking out the great content, the people need you brotha ✊🏾
Yes you can bro, this is bullshit 😂 I've had my wb charger hellcat for almost 2 years now. First of all the stock 305s do enough ive beat teslas off the line and many tuned cars on rolls, but if youre going with even more power you have to slap on some MTs. Coming from a 392 owner, the hellcat is everything you wished your car was. Not to mention the addicting whining sound, immediately gets everyone wet around you. Most hellcats i run into cant drive for shit or understand how to launch the car so i can see where people relate. But this is all personal opinion and clickbait. Nothing very factual besides the obvious a v8 with over 500hp does
@@Sm0keSh0w it’s a realistic challenge of having so much horsepower to put down so I appreciate the perspective and information. I have 305’s on my Scat and have traction issues depending on the surface. I don’t doubt on a track the MT’s hook great but on the street is a different issue especially here in cold ass Utah. I’ve been racing street cars for 20 years and traction is always an issue. We do all love the power, sound and feel of the Hellcat as I have driven it before but I can understand the points he made in the video. Thanks Henry
@@tbone0316 you just got to know your car and when to take it out. The MTs are nasty on the street. Just need a little warming up n drop some ap. They have a street version of MT as well but i havent tried those. My buddys cat is doing over 850whp with MT he puts all the power down no problem. Sounds like you need to invest in an AMG or M for some of that 4matic
@@Sm0keSh0w I’ll have to give those a look for sure to get the right set up. I’ve already had the BMW 750 and german cars but it’s Dodge for me bro ✊🏾.
I had the money to by a HellCat outright and even my sales guy was advising me to go scat, saying once the novelty of the Cat wears off you'll be looking to step down. The Cat and the other high power trims are not realistic to the casual driver and I have met a handful of people who gave their Cat up after a few years. Seeing how the Cat is leaving soon, I see it as an investment vehicle and show car now and nothing more.
I have a 2018 Scatpack Charger. Point #3 is a very underrated reason. A Scatpack is a bit more versatile and seems more practical as a daily driver. I’m already very concerned with keeping my car clean; I can’t imagine dealing with rock chips on a Hellcat. Excellent video.
Wouldn't worry about the chips but I feel you. These chumps out here are so thirsty they just want a hellcat my 2019 looked like a shot gun hit the front end and I didn't lose much when I sold it.
Excellent points! I did the same thing, had a ‘15 Hellcat Challenger which I bought on EBay. Gas wasn’t a problem but insurance was! It was fun to drive but I only drove it in the snow free months. And I found the insurance wasn’t worth it for what I drove. Now I own a Scat pack Shaker and love it. There’s plenty of power for the suburbs. Again all good points.
Great video my man! But you will never convince me to get a Scat Pack over a Hellcat..,,, I want to be just like you have and have a Hellcat , you even have my favorite color!! Your car is fire bro!!!
I just bought a new scat pack in February and it is by far the coolest car I have ever owned. I have wanted a Challenger for years and the Scat Pack was the highest trim level I could afford. All the things mentioned in this video makes sense to me and I really love my Scat Pack but I would still kind of like to get a Hellcat. Its a dream car, what can I say.
I totally agree. I wish i had driven one before i bought the Hellcat. Not as much fun as i thought. Scary and a blast but it becomes boring. I got rid of mine because the brakes are $4 grand to replace just rotors and pads. That’s insane. So i sold mine for a handsome profit after i drove it for a year. Glad i bought it and even happier i sold it. Kind of like a boat.
I absolutely enjoyed this video and was exactly the words of wisdom I needed to hear. I was planning on trading on my scat pack for a trackhawk and do live near a drag strip but Ive gotten multiple compliments from hellcat owners on the sound of my scat pack charger and honestly after hearing everything you said, I'm def keeping her now. Instant sub and like for solid info like this
I agree Track hawks are AWD so you would be able to put more power down to the ground than the Hellcats plus you can drive them in the snow/bad weather conditions where as Hellcats you can’t
I’ve driven a regular charger hellcat and my dad now owns a track hawk I gotta say the track hawk is a different beast, power feels matched with the weight of the vehicle and the launches never fail to get you to the edge of the galaxy real fast
I jus bought a scat pack..I love it..the hellcat would have been nice but I think the scat is the sweet spot.. Just enough power to put a smile on your face an not pay hellcat prices..nice video brother
I got a scat and I wish I would’ve been able to afford a hellcat. I couldn’t even if I wanted it. Great points though. I’m very happy with a my scat. Merry Xmas.
Sorry guys...had a scatpack before...last year decided to buy a hellcat REDEYE...its the best best i ever experienced...i always thought they felt the same...they dont...pair that with the fast 9 gear auto...plus, WIDEBODY!!🔥
@@terrelmaz8424 that is your pinion and I respect that. My buddy has a bone stock 1320 and runs 11.3 in 1/4 mile. The redeye barely barely beating it. A true race would be 2 people manually changing gears. In a automatic the car is doing all the work.
@@lmjames33 exactly!!...the cars knows what to do...its gonna make sure it gives you what you want, when you want it...no time for no clutching😂🙆♂️...i bet the redeye was stock and the 1320 wasnt...
Agreed. The Widebody Challenger R/T Scat Pack is a blast to drive. 485hp stock so you can easily get to 500hp which you can control. Yes the Hellcat, Demon etc are awesome rides but traction is an issue.
@@BuschHemi maybe not quite 500 to the wheels though. I heard these do dyno at about 450whp stock so it shouldn’t be too hard to get 50hp with a Couple bolt ons and tune but just headers I don’t think so
I'm the same way with my 2020 Charger Scat Widebody. I've had it for 1 year and 4 months. Ordered it in July 2020 and took delivery in August and it still only has 6100 miles. I PPF'd the full front and ceramic coated the entire car. I'm constantly worried about shit or other people fucking my car up.
I still want the hellcat 😂 I don’t plan on racing but it’s still nice knowing I have that power. I live in the country though so I don’t have the traffic issues. I wish I would’ve gotten a redeye wide body when this dealership offered it to me brand new 67k before the “pandemic”
Great video. My Scat Pack looks almost just like your Hellcat. I have a '21 Scat Widebody\Shaker in Hellraisin, with the same rims and spoiler as your Hellcat.
Good video bro. I'm a ScatPack owner (Shaker hood & Sunroof). Don't see a many at all of this package in LA, SOCal area. But, my Ride has plenty enough power for me. It's nothing on a highway to burn someone real quick than laugh as they finally catch-up and pass me up. The engine stock sound is nice and beefy. It has enough torque and ft-lbs to handle its business. Lowered the vehicle about a 1 1/2" so it sits pretty. Not always easy finding the rims I like, with lug pattern but, I usually always replace the rims, from stock. Everybody's Challenger looks the same, same rims. If I repaint the vehicle, gone definitely get the whole front scratch free as you did. I have enough rock-dings n stuff. This is my 1st muscle car, and toughest engine I've ever owned so, I can't compare it. But trust, I have plenty power. She is my baby, I recently got it appraised a few times, and can nearly $15k over what I owe on it. But, I really like my Ride. Her and I get along very well ☺️💪🏻💯
This is very good video, thank you. I was just thinking about getting a Hellcat but I have changed my mind because I live in Baltimore, and the DMV is a busy traffic area.
This was a fantastic video👏 very well said on all points. A scatpack is the better bang for ur buck for sure. I own a scatpack and went back and forth on upgrading to a hellcat but I will never be able to use all those horse on it. So scat is the way to go
Have the scat pack challenger and it's just to much fun to drive around, especially with a 6-speed. The burbles make it worth the get. Plus with dodge's recent updates w/ getting rid of combustion engines they'll be a great investment too!
Great review, would love to own a Scatpack but with gas nowadays i am sticking to my SXTPLUS for a while. Thanks for the reviews merry Christmas and happy new year's too. 👌
@@86twin yea man, don't have to feel guilty if there's a scratch or a ding on it. I mean i still take care of it well l. Love the fact that you can use it as a everyday car and not worrying about gas. THE CAR STILL LOOKS GOOD. I get a lot of thumbs up
Awesome video I own a 2021 loaded scat pack, widebody, and I am considering moving up because of the power. Thank you for the information. I think I will stick with my very wonderful scat pack, but mine is a six speed. I love a manual transmission. I would like to see a video on a scat pack 392 manual versus an automatic.
Good perspective. I am with you on your line of thinking I actually think the Scatpack is more fun to drive. Hellcat cost more on all aspects, insurance, fuel, maintenance. It is the pinnacle of the Dodge muscle cars though and so many of us want one as the logical progression. Hope the family is well and wishing you a good holiday season! I, will unfortunately be down in Arizona for work through the second week of January.
Yeah I get it man. When you have the ScatPack you always think of progressing into the Hellcat. Hard to think of the drawbacks. Thank you man same to you and your family! Hope you stay warm in AZ!
I have a Widebody charger scatpack & I kinda want a hellcat but I was thinking the same thing. I don’t see it being more fun to drive than my car. As long as it’s not raining my car puts the power to the ground & it’s fast!
A couple of years ago I was shopping for a new daily driver and looked at a 2016 Charger Hellcat, and have one thing to add. Could have been something wrong with the car that I drove, but the supercharger whine was much more then I expected when just cruising and not getting into it. I figured that this would annoy me in a daily driver, Was going to start looking for a ScatPack but went another route instead.
I've made my decision in trading in my sxt for a scatpack today.. Hopefully it turns out well 😸 If I could afford a Hellcat, they are beautiful as hell though. Great video bro!
You will love the scatpack.I had a 50th anniversary scatpack widebody shipped across the pond last May.Brilliant driving machine,485hp is ample in real world driving. Enjoy.👌
All of this is true. On a side note, when you go to get new tires, jet the Michellins. They are better than the Pirellis for day to day use. They hook up better on the street, are quieter and get better mileage if you can control your foot.
Just a FYI i own a hellrango, and my Vanderhall Venice smashes it from stoplight to stoplight. If you ever get a chance at another venice. Turn off the traction control and do a boosted launch at 20PSI. Your outlook will be different, 6-7 seconds to 60 maybe in reverse ;)
A hellcat is my dream car and I will one day have it. I don’t fear it’s power but I simply cannot afford it yet, so for now I’m getting a 2022 widebody scatpack
Great video. At a certain point too much is overkill and pointless. I have a Durango 5.7 and for how it's used in a real world application that's plenty of power. How often does an average driver have a need to maximize a 0 to 60 time?
My daughter learned how to drive in my 2017 Scat in the Midwest. Now I have a 22 Jailbreak Hellcat. I don't feel great about her driving the Jailbreak, but learning on the Scat made her a really, really good driver.
Good ishh! I would love a Scat Pack still. Hellcat is the dream car but by time I'm ready financially to get one Dodge will have already stopped making them and there will be some hybrid or EV version car out lol. Test driving the Hellcats (707hp, 717hp, and Redeye 797hp) they are all amazing cars 🤩 but the traction issue gets old fast. Super fun but is also annoying at the same time. My tuned SRT8 300c 6.1L has 465hp to the crank and I still have traction issue especially in this cold season. Spinning robs the fun out of everything 😅.
Thank you my man! I completely agree. Spinning is fun at first but it gets old quick. There are times where I just want to slam on the gas pedal and accelerate quickly and oftentimes that's just not realistic 🤷♂️ Hellcat is definitely a dream car but not as rationale
There will be plenty of these cars available for the foreseeable future you just have to find one that ain't chewed up. These cars are nice but they are fragile. Good luck.
Well in washington state I barely see scats honestly the hardest to find would be a scat charger followed by a charger hellcat. I've seen challenger hellcats here and there. I own a hellcat as well and literally bought mine the same time as you. I prefer my hellcat. Would love to have a red eye though lol
Subbed because of your talking points and honesty. I own neither but will be purchasing one of the two hopefully next year if not sooner. Leaning towards the Hellcat just because I've always wanted one and don't plan on using it has a daily driver.
Man, appreciate your sheer honesty...that takes guts to own up to your decision and openly share your objective observations. I appreciate that very much! Must say, it is a super sweet car and do hope you continue enjoying it when you can.
I traded in my 2020 widebody challenger scat pack...loved the car..pirelli tires grip amazing until 15 k miles then all hell breaks lose the first time the car gets lose on you and scared the hell outta me because it was unpredictable unlike my 2016 camaro ss which i could break loose with zero concerns. Im looking at a charger widebody scat now because i do miss that 6.4 low end grunt/torque and sound . You helped with my decision man because i was on the line over hellcat this time or not. Charger should be a little tamer when it breaks loose and i enjoy the cockpit
I test drove a new 2022 Scat Pack but it wasn’t a wide body but I’m just not sure if I should get a used Hellcat or a new wide body Scat Pack but I will probably stick with a new wide body Scat Pack
Great information! Yeah, back at the beginning of the year, I went with a loaded used 2021 Widebody Scat Pack (for $46k) because I knew I would be paranoid driving an $85k car (that was the lowest price I could find back then...even used...prices were crazy!!) Also, I wanted a 6-spd (I'm aware there are 6-spd Hellcats, but they're pretty rare...and even worse, traction-wise), but I also talked with a local owner of a Hellcat and he said the power/traction issue can be downright scary even on dry pavement, and he brought up the same issue mentioned here where the effective 0-60 is the same as the Scat Pack because of the traction.
I plan on buying the jailbreak I already did the build on the website. Of course the 807 HP is what attracts us but for me I like the fact you just not gonna see too many on the road they too expensive. I was thinking of getting the Scat but I see them everywhere all the time the Hell cat you just dont see them often, as far as using all the power where I live there is speed cameras all over the city so it dont matter what you drive, buy a rader detector hit the interstate and then open it up.
I think the 35K pricepoint for a Scat is a little off. Obviously options are a huge part of that but I had a brand new 2017 that cost 53K (some options) and I just got a '21 that came out to 63K (fully loaded). "Base Model" Scats are running mid 40's I believe. I only bring this up because I completely understand your point of not wanting to damage the vehicle due to price.
Buy a hellcat and just switch to 500hp with a press of a button. Then switch back 700+ when you get bored. Best of both worlds never have to say to your self i should of got a hellcat. But again hellcat owners say i should of got a redeye and so on Slick roads just use eco mode problem solved.
There's a real weight and stress to having these cars. Just my 6.1 09 challenger feels a little scary on a cold day with my throttle response on full tilt boogie. I go fast..im allways worried about getting caught. Its a big deal to be driving 110 on a 50 mph back road. But that's what my car and I want to do. If it weren't for the law Id never consider selling...but I don't know how much I want to tow the line anymore. No one talks about these difficult realities of owning a strong car.
I have been contemplating moving up to a Hellcat from my 2020 SPWB but I have never driven a Hellcat and like you said I can barley use the SPWB horse power in the town I live in so it would be like you said just bragging rights. You have swayed me from spending another 30 grand on a car that I would just look at in my garage besides other that a couple of badges on the outside my car it looks just like a Hellcat! LOL I might change the hood to the dual snorkel.
I am not sure if I agree with him. Supercars are supposed to do everything he said he doesn’t appreciate on the hellcat and these cars are not your average daily drive cars. Love that dodge make this cars under 90k that we can afford and truly enjoy a super car compared to most super cars that would cost 200k plus
I had a 2015 Challenger Scat Pack manual transmission 6.4 and now I am driving a 2020 Mustang GT with Roush Supercharer Stage 2. I telling you than the Scat Pack has more low end torque than my Mystang supercharger. That 6.4 move that heavy car like nothing. Is really amazing engine. Is not replacement for displacement.
I agree with you. I traded a 2020 Mustang GT for a 2022 Charger Scat. Until I swapped out the exhaust, I was forever chirping the Charger's tires. I had to work at chirping the Mustang's tires.
The Scat breaks loose just fine at 30/40 on a regular tire.. surprised you didn't have that issue... i can hold 2nd gear at 4 and slam it and get sideways.. just as annoying but I can understand being NA its likely easier to control.
So don’t you get 2 keys? A black one for 500 hp and a red one for 707/797. A scat pack has 485, so you could just DD with the black key, track day with the red. Best of both worlds I say if it comes down to money just go all the way if possible.
Finally…someone gets it!!! I don’t know how he’s owned a HC but forgot that part… plus the gearing in the Hellcat is slightly slower than a scat pack… so if a Hellcat owner wants to “mash” on the accelerator without loosing control he could just use his black key… Plus if you get proper tires, you won’t be spinning like everyone says you do..
If you live next to a track then that's great but most people don't. If you buy a hellcat just to use 500 hp then you might as well get a ScatPack instead. Even Radford racing school uses 500 hp in their widebody redeyes because 797 is overkill
@@SchwayZ I personally drive with my red key all the time… I get what you’re saying about the power being overkill. My problem is too many people who do not own nor driven a Hellcat constantly talking about traction issues.. unless you have an all AWDV , there’s always gonna be traction issues with muscle cars…but I feel like the Hellcat is unfairly targeted seeing as though there’s many videos of other cars doing the same thing, maybe not at the line but sometimes right afterwards. I widened my tires to 305/35 R 20 in the rear & went with Continental extreme contact… if I were in a place that was mostly dry I would’ve went with Nitto or Mickey Thompson S/S. The Continentals do hook but you have to launch a certain way… plus Dodge Recommends that if you’re racing in the street then you should use “Street Mode” a lot of people Race in “Track” or “Sport” or forget that they are in those modes when trying to launch..
@@tillman002000 Naw they don’t recommend it..However they’re probably saying, let us assist you if decide to pursue such endeavors by driving in the “Correct” mode 😂😂😂

I traded my scat for a cat. I feel like if you’re scared of the power simply use the black key. Knowing I have the power rather I use it or not is the reason I bought my Hellcat
Where are you going to use it? You can't use it anywhere on the street, including highways.

I sold my Hellcat about a month ago. I live in a major city and as you said I could never use all the power. Racing ppl from light to light is not worth the money to own one. Definitely a great car but I love money more 💯

I really do miss it
That’s why I love our 2020 R/T it’s simply more practical it’s less powerful but fun to drive and less expensive
Is it still faster than the regular R/T
Analogous to this video, I previously owned an R/T and upgraded to a loaded Widebody Scat Pack, and, overall I'm happy with my decision, but I do miss the simplicity, the lower cost, and better gas mileage of the R/T.

When I drove the Tesla Model S, as soon as I pressed the gas it was time to take my foot off because I was already at 60. It makes it less fun. I rather a car that’s a little slower so I can enjoy it.

Man, appreciate your sheer honesty...that takes guts to own up to your decision and openly share your objective observations. I appreciate that very much! Must say, it is a super sweet car and do hope you continue enjoying it when you can.
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching! I still enjoy the hellcat very much!
It's not going to be tamer man. Signed Daytona 392 owner.
But again hellcat owners say i should of got a redeye and so on
Slick roads just use eco mode problem solved.
I'm a motorcycle guy, and ride a 750 because 1000's are just overkill; I like being able to use more of what I got! So I relate to this 💯
Yes sir, downgraded from a Ninja ZX10R to a Ninja ZX6R/636.Much more manageable power on the street, more fun in my opinion.
Bro this is not true at all I have 2 cbr 1000
Thank you so much, great video and I have a 2020 392 challenger. I do agree with you.
Bro most of us will prefer the hellcat over the 392 but money always the issue i won't get a 392 if I have the money for hellcat lol
BEST REVIEW EVER..NO CAP 🧢💯
My widebody Challenger Scatpack has 315/30/20s and they are expensive. I try not to go through tires but it's hard when I have a 6t speed manual lol!
@@marlboropike.D Dodge is not recommending you drag race in the street. Cut it out. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@tillman002000 Naw they don’t recommend it..However they’re probably saying, let us assist you if decide to pursue such endeavors by driving in the “Correct” mode 😂😂😂
Install a kill switch and keep it in a garage. Your points are solid I have a charger scat and Im considering getting a Redeye charger so great video
I did end up getting a red eye and you were so right about the 4 points but I still love it
This video did numbers on your channel 🚀🚀💯 good video
I’ve had both and tend to agree. I just can never settle. I like excess looking toward the ct5 v blackwing!
Yep, can't really use 707HP on the streets. The R/T with a 5.7L has plenty of power and is great for freeway cruising. The Hellraisin looks great.
fun fact: people buys hellcats because they have the supercharger and makes a lovely whine
