Stim shot was a major step up. It made players more strategic, it allowed good players the ability to reposition and challenge with full health and hurt bad players because they would use it in a bad situation
Agreed, a longer ttk brings more of a skill gap. Rewarding players with good aim and good game sense. As well as allowing players to react to getting shot a reposition. Wish this game had a campaign but I definitely had a fun time playing this cod
@@NuttBucketit didn’t though they made the characters move like hulking damn tanks, so basically you move like a damn slug and the ttk is high, so a bunch of hulking tanks with no movement running around with pee shooters, that entire game was crap, the feel of the guns was terrible, snipers sucked, you couldn’t use any sort of movement so basically if you use aim in a 2v1 along with movement and mfs would stack so you’d die first because the ttk was so high and there was no movement to outplay them
idk how this game was so hated, i legit had the most fun on that game ever

When i was younger i always thought that if a game was super expensive it had to be super good but in the last couple of years that hasn't been the case. Its disappointing to see AAA studios like EA(prime example) publish half a$$ games and expect like above $60?

Back in the day when I could not afford video games I used to pirate them. And I felt so guilty that the Devs spent so much time and energy to make a quality product that I am ripping off. Now even though I can afford the games now I feel cheated , and I lost the guilty feeling of pirating games.

Problematic? Maybe, but there was definitely so much passion poured into this iteration of Zombies!

Hot take time. Personally loved bo4. Multiplayer was ehh and I hated the zombies early on but as cw came out and I played it a bit I started to rethink and realize I was to hard on bo4. And blackout is the only br I like and ever have liked. It was unique in my opinion. Activision really has worked Treyarch to death since bo4 came out

BO4 is still one of my favorite CODs. Incredible MP, the most content-heavy Zombies to date, and pretty enjoyable Battle Royale mode with Blackout
BO4 was SUPER underrated (MP wise). If it had a campaign as good as Infinite Warfare, MW2 OG, or W@W, and it had a war mode like WW2, then I could see it as my favorite CoD.
My favorite cod game in terms of the multiplayer only. I love almost everything about the multiplayer, except of course some of those disgusting post-launch weapons (looking at you Micro, Reaver and VMP). The gameplay in this game really makes the Safeguard gamemode shine, and is basically what I mainly play the game for
BlackOps 4 is the reason I played WWII for 18 months.
Never played black ops4 because it didn't come with a campaign and that was a deal breaker for me. The campaign was the most important part for me and the core of the game. So naturally Black Ops 1 is my all time favorite along side MW1. I never understood the love Black ops 2 got, to me it was a much worse game.
BO4 is one of the very few CoDs that I skipped. Every time it goes on sale, I still think about picking it up to give it a try, but I never follow through.
As for Gulf War, I am somewhat excited, especially for the campaign. Mainly because, I was a kid when the Gulf War actually happened, and it’ll be interesting to me to go back through the form of a video game, wether it honestly be CoD or not.

The health system is what made me hate this game. 150 hp and having to press a button to heal was not cod.
BO3 was absolutely fire. The movement was perfected from what AW started. AW clunky but it was still fun. BO4 idk wtf they did. Attachments only existed for some guns, and then you have an exosuit without the ability to run on walls. Like is that a part of the lore? Is it a prequel to BO3? Like why was it designed that way? And why the stim? That was one of the things that killed it for me.
The multiplayer was much better than black ops 3, it’s just that the lack of support that killed it. And the 50 dollar all or notbing paywall
BO4 if I remember correctly, takes place 10 years before BO3, but it was initially supposed to be a sequel to BO3 instead
I think i might add that 4 months later after this game was released, there was this game came out of nowhere with zero marketing and advertisement named Apex Legends also killed it, especially since that was the era where both Apex and fortnite took a risk by going Free to play from the get-go and it paid off, Activision blizzard on the other hand prefer to play it safe by going Pay to play that instead of letting this game follow suit they just decide to give to Warzone instead which was the final nail in the coffin for this game.

Nope. Will be just like the last few games, feel the same and basically DLC. The classic Treyarch feel is long gone cause they aren't using the 3arc engine, they're using the MW engine.

Plus MWIII has a really fun MP with a good progression system (camos, events, challenges), and the Zombies is suprisingly fun despite the lackluster post-launch content. If Gulf War builds from MWIII it will no doubt be their best since at least BO3.
@@null-hi6dt bro what? when was the last time you played bo1? they share the same features mw2 brought in like more killstreaks and create a class options etc but the engines are 2 complete different versions. mw2 is built off cod4 and bo1 is built off waw, waw and cod4 shared the same engine but after that they devided and each dev made significant changes to make each game feel unique with their own sets of mechanics being bo1 having dolphin diving and a more overall heavier feeling to the characters, they feel nothing alike lmao. MW III barely has a progression system, a simple camo mastery, a few extra challenges on the side with minimal rewards and the basic level 1 to 55 then its empty pointlessness after that. MW III is the same exact game as MW II just with a slide cancel and mini map patch, you have lowered your standards if you think its a good game. You can enjoy it all you want but you need to see when its an objectively bad game.

I cannot explain how excited I'm going to be booting up a new treyarch title for the first time in 4 years. I absolutely loved cold war and will probably love gulf war too, I dont really like the modern stuff and enjoy the older stuff like 60s-90s era. BO2 sequel will be amazing too hopefully.

The way I can put it is Bo4 is decent not bad. However “decent” is not what we expect from Treyarch. We expect greatness.

Black ops 4 is the game I can’t help but look back on with so much disappointment. To me, this game was supposed to be a celebration of black ops with everything the previous games brought and expand on that. Instead, we got a cut campaign, the cutscenes ruined woods and mason, zombies started off with a messy foundation but the maps regressed even further, and the multiplayer got the worst support before mw22 took the cake. I do enjoy the gameplay and zombies, but I can’t help but think about how this game was super hyped, and then it suffered a whimpering death in 2019 never to be talked about again
I’ll take jetpacks and the future style over Fortnight skins and cartoony kid looks and seeing Ducks running around.
BO4 failed because of lack of content, lack of good DLC maps (those weather variants sucked ass and most of the weather varaint maps were just variants of maps already in the game) and lets not forget about the overpowered Supply Drop weapons like the Stingray that was broken right off the rip killing in a single 2 shot burst in a game with such a slow TTK.
Edit: I forgot to mention that at the end of BO4's lifecycle they made it so that you could legitimately flat out buy any one of the Supply Drop weapons for 2000 COD Points once a week

I think it really depends. Some of the things brought to the table for this game, were great. It’s just that they also made a ton of new decisions, trying to make something different, and it ultimately didn’t stick the landing. Examples such as Blackout, the first attempt at a BR, that people just were interested in. And wasn’t able to compete, specifically against Fortnite. Multiplayer was solid overall, but had a lot of copied content, and weapons once again locked behind a paywall. And what about zombies? It can be best described as they tried to fix, that which wasn’t broken. And well… broke the zombie franchise. I’d argue permanently.

Most underrated cod ever
Definitely a top MP. Maps were good, guns were fun and unique, has some of the best lethal killstreaks of any COD, and the best part was all content was free. Maps, battle pass, every dlc weapon, everything was free. Zombies while super weird at first has really grown on me. I don’t really like the BO4 zombies system but it no longer bothers me now that I have a better understanding of the mechanics. And am super greatful for no campaign since the last one was BO3 and we all know how bad that one is.

I liked cold war, it finally felt like something familiar, like black ops 2 or even 2017 ww2.
I also enjoyed the crap out of bo4 and it was disappointing not having a campaign, however.... noticing that bo3 campaign was the only cod campaign i wasnt able to finish, i understand why they would skip on it.

With all due respect. BO4 was a very good COD overall. Good zombies, stem shot was a plus to me because it promotes gunfights instead of being picked off by campers, story was solid from what I remember, guns were all very balanced. The movement was essentially perfect for a boots on the ground COD, the maps were some of the best in the series 3 main lanes with great design and creativity. IMO, a slower time to kill is better in CODs with super fast movement, (one of my complaints with MW3 2023) and BO4 had the perfect time to kill given its fast movement and sliding tech. Overall 7.5-8/10.
Honestly the black ops 3 loot box system was way worse. Same with advanced warfare

BO4 was an okay game, while yes it lacked in some regards *cough* campaign *cough* it was always gonna struggle off the back of what was such a popular title in BO3. It had a rocky launch being that it was rushed out a whole month earlier then we usually get a cod title to fight off the competition from the ever growing fortnite which lead to the bad reception it had for months after launch due to the constant blue screen crashing and bare bones multiplayer. But also treyarch had to cut its costs half way through development (thats why in tag der de toten it was all catoon comic book style cut scenes) so it never had the game life that the other cods got.

Bo4 is the best muiltiplayer game I've played i still play it regularly. hardcore tdm is my go to mode.the movement .maps and overall fast paced gun fights are great .bo4 shud be remastered with an addid campaign .
I loved black ops 3 and 4.... great games.... I could grind skins for my operators..... some HARD Challenges..... PLAYING THE GAME to unlock cool stufff.....

Also the new BO2 CoD I would like that but you know Activision is just going to find a way to get their money hungry hands into that game, honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it’s just another MW19 because Activision only cares about the money they don’t care about you unless you actually pull out which many players don’t.
