Warzone ain’t the problem. The problem is them not giving af about the actual quality of the game because they rather put out a new 1 every year. We don’t need a new game every year. We need a great game that last long till the technology improves to do better things.
I disagree warzone is a problem it isn't cods style. Warzone is a love child of fortnite cod is not It's daddy. Nothing that makes call of duty the fast paced, arena, style skill based shooter it was made it into warzone. When you play warzone you are NOT playing cod you are playing fortnite.

What I don’t get about the Store is that why don’t people just NOT buy anything? Do people feel like if they do not buy 24$ bundles they will be shamed for not having it like other people do? Or feel like they are missing out? The Store was atrocious and then when the DMZ bundles first came out last year I was really pissed off. And people are continuously buying all the bundles up. Everyone I see in my lobbies has all the new and old bundles. They could pay my mortgage payment with how much they’ve spent on bundles. COD is horrible.
It's not about just not buying it, it's the premise of it. We want things to be unlockable not just shoved behind a paywall. I hate the bundles they have, I want simple military style cosmetics not this cringe virgin shit, but I would rather get all these flashy skins unlockable via challenges or even in the free battle pass, not locked behind $20 bundles. I want Cod to have progression, to have things worth playing the game for, if there isn't anything to unlock by simply playing the game it devalues the entire game. Look at what Cod used to be, even supply drops were a more fair system cause you didn't have to spend a single cent and could have the same shit as anyone else.
Yes, yes, YES. Ruined both the 6 v 6 multiplayer and more recently LITERALLY THE CAMPAIGNS! Cod is cinematic! Turning it into Far Cry is STUPID. Far Cry not only has its own identity, but also a big reason of why those games can be 40+ hours. Because Far Cry style is done to extend play time! So using Far Cry style (weapons free) on COD and delivering a 4 or less hour campaign is nothing short of SUPER LAZY!
Kinda wish they just stuck with MW19's tracers being mostly single colors with occasional death fx in obviously silly bundles. I don't think III+II even has normal single-color tracers except for the long-gone soccer legends bundles, iirc those had simple tracers.
For me who actually destroyed CoD is not WZ. It was the fanbase. I can list the reason but I will only mention one. Low standard for gaming. They settle with half finish product.
War zones main problem was trying to be Fortnite, instead of building a more down to earth BR for people who don’t like the more cartoony Fortnite style
Most of these didn't really bother me except the whole taking a section of the Warzone map and turning into a MP map. If I remember correctly, a lot of the launch maps for MW2 were just sections of the Warzone map, then most of the seasonal maps were as well, and it just made me so mad how lazy they were. I would rather play remastered OG maps then that. I'm glad this changed for MW3. It feels like Sledgehammer has been doing things well with how they've handled MW3 thus far.
Who remembers Cold wars fire team dirty bomb. Man what a time to be alive that mode was truly special I enjoyed it so much when it was thriving. Honestly I would be playing that more than I play warzone now if they hadn’t just scrapped it. Who else agrees
Maybe if we just stuck to the first couple months of mw2019 and kept bettering it from there instead of combining it w Cold War and vanguard, honestly would have been an amazing game I’d play for a while.
COD will never be the same. I been going back playing all the older ones. Like older older ones, like BO1/2, MW2/3, COD 4, and so on. I did love Warzone but i quit after the 1st map went away. Cheats were bad but I imagine they are way bad now. Even on PS3 BO2 is pretty much unplayable. Just people shooting randomly into the sky killing folks. Pretty sad cause I really grew up playing cod like lots of others.
Warzone 2.0 should never have existed imo. If they just separate the games (MW19 and warzone) in two applications, I think that could have ended the stability and crash problems (I’m no dev, just my opinion)❤ PD: I love ur videos, keep it up❤️
Yes. Because campaign and zombies are now being merged with it, and each studios universes are being blended , which ruins everything. I layed cod to rest already. Not buying another cod unless it’s advanced warfare, a future black ops game, a futuristic game, or ghosts 2. Black ops and modern warfare are done to death
The only issue Cod has is slide canceling with no restrictions, and the second one is the terrible audio there’s times where people creep up fast as hell with no sound. Then the in game lag and the cheaters. That’s really it other than the insane amount of head glitches and drop shooting
This video is a perfect explanation of what warzone did to cod, but there is one thing I didn’t agree on in that warzone saved cod by a lot of players coming back or being introduced. Yes it made everyone play cod again but warzone really isn’t call of duty. It’s its own game and that’s why call of duty was abodoned. Cod would have had a player base even without warzone just not as many people which is honestly for the betterment of the franchise. But that’s sadly not the case
In a way yes but also no. Mw2019 was a horrendous multiplayer experience so in a way warzone saved many people from leaving the series myself included. That being said they have def taken resources away from MP and just put them into warzone and its clear its suffering.
100% Yes, zero doubt in my mind that it did. It single handedly sucked away from campaign, multiplayer, and zombies. Those modes are a shell of their former selves.
I hopw they fix this mess with the new premium call of duty, as you do claim there is a plan, I was a christmas newbie when i got my first call of duty, ADVANCED WARFARE and loved it so much, I do wish they focus on multiplayer more now as warzone is not fun especially with the ptw operators, its basically a fortnite clone, I mean what happened to call of duty being the gritty war/fighting experice, I do hope they bring it back, (LUV FROM YOUR BIGGEST SUPPORTER IN INDIA)
I think Warzone isn’t a bad thing, but they just need to separate it from the rest of the content of the games. Make it its own thing, keep all the crossovers and goofy skins but keep the main games their own thing and just give us the old simple stuff we want. They can have their cake and eat it too.
Data analytics is another big problem 📊 Activision keeps saying “our data show this, and that” to justify SBMM but instead they should just LISTEN to the community👂
WARZONE made cheating a thing. Literally. It made suckers become WORSE at a video game that cheating became CONTENT. it became entertainment. It no longer was about putting genuine skill to the formula. Warzone normalized cheating. COD is dying to this day because of it.
I’m pretty sure years from now we will look back at modern warfare 3 and talk about how great of a game it was we always do this we always think things from the past are so great when the current product is just bad that’s just how it goes with anything though not just video games

Idk about others but I had so much fun with the boys playing warzone during the quarantine and even made a couple more friends. It was a fantastic experience
Warzone didn’t ruin cod, activision did. It became their favourite child they neglect the other kids to cater to it. Warzone is the definition of being a hero but living long enough to be the villain. Every warzone edition since post Cold War updates has not been good.
Also, streamers and camping ruined the game. Everything is meta/exploits and other feedback that causes the devs to change the game. It was simpler time before this and people played their own way and weren't playing like every match is ranked
People hate change warzone and verdansk definitely elevated the game saved us during lockdown it came with alot of amazing features a brilliant map and the resurgence with an amazing remake of rebirth island. The ruined it with caldera
For me warzone destroyed cod simply because it made it like everything else and now it’s like people expect every FPS game to have a battle royal mode to me warzone is just the developers trying to copy fortnight and failing miserably
No. Cheaters, Cheat Sellers, Consoles, and the Dark Patterns and Practices employed by console and game manufacturers to use aim assisted children to pry open parents wallets ruined COD, and a host of multiplayer gaming communities.
I just cant stand the idea shooting someone with a SNIPER and getting a headshot and downing a enemy x.x like bro whats up with the unecessary shooting, look at mw2 (2009) it took a few shots and youre dead..
It just proves the company doesnt care about the players and only cares about the money. You spend $70 on a game they rarely update, fix or add anything to bc they've already taken your money. The free to play game has all of their attention bc more ppl are playing it and they still have potential to milk them dry. Its why they even admitted to protecting bad players and encouraging camping while also admitting to giving you a forced multiplayer experience where they will place you into lobbies based on how you played to make sure everyone has around a 50% win ratio. So if you played well, welp time to go play against sweats. If you played poorly, dont worry they will just put you in a lobby with people who dont have thumbs. They do not care about the MANY complaints, they dont care about their awful multiplayer maps, they dont care about anything these CoD players want bc they already paid for their game. They could just give you a black screen thats 179GB to download and not care bc you already paid for it.
MW2 MP launch maps were actually pretty good. The dlc maps were good too. I think people just want to hate. It’s fun saying their lazy but the maps were good.

Warzone was necessary but at this stage, the detrimental effect it has bought to MP and Zombies, I've completely lost interest in Cod All honesty, as a working adult, I much rather pay to get guaranteed content
OG Warzone (2020-2021) brought COD back to the top of gaming. It was so much fun gaming and playing WZ during the pandemic. Then Caldera came out and killed a lot of hype then WZ2.0 killed it even more. At the same time, developers neglected MP and let it turn into a mediocre SBMM filled recycling bin. Now COD is down bad. Warzone is played out and MWIII is actually pretty decent but the SBMM makes it tough to want to play for too long
Personally when warzone was first implemented I personally thought call of duty had a better take. The store was revolutionary, the player count bigger as to make the game more intense (a warzone) the gulag system at least I thought was in itself very interesting and something added more content to the battle royale genre. I don’t think warzone ruined cod, it was definitely better than blackout, but warzone trying to copy the battle pass, failed terribly
Its the same as with Madden and Fifa with ultimate team. The mode itself didnt ruin Call of Duty, but Call of Duty's SINGULAR FOCUS on the mode is what ruined it. Activision saw the giant cash cow and focused almlst exclusively on it. The game itself became designed around Warzone, and everything else suffered as a result. And now, just like with EA and Ultimate Team, Activision has now straught up built the SINGLE PLAYER MODES around Warzone too.
This game has become and will continue to be a massive sweat fest. Full of hackers & cheaters also. Take me back to OG CoD4/World at War/Black Ops 1 & 2 when these games were fun & not full of tryhards.

@@jamesmc4732 warzone is more fun. People were sold on Warzone. Every now & then people like jumping between both. Fornite is more goofy & playful. However yes now these days warzone is going downhill with the poor implementation & the need to copy instead of actually innovate.
@IcedOutkrs no it's a trend that's it we shouldn't have it in every game it's a copy and paste from another game it's garbage. Even if the majority of the people on the planet start eating shit I'm still not gonna eat shit warzone is garbage the player count can't change that. The majority players are the next generation who have been sold on this warzone garbage therefore everyone just copies them now. Games use to have variety cod was different from halo and halo was different from gears of war but very soon you guys will make sure they all play the same with you're warzone bullcrap.
@@jamesmc4732 not even. Warzone 1 was everyone’s fav. Old and new players. MW3 warzone is complete garbage that they dropped the ball on. They made one of the most fun Brs in its time that’s why it gained a lot of traction & they did it in their own way.
@IcedOutkrs your not convincing me dude cod SOLD its identity for a cash grab and somehow you people like it. Seriously?
Warzone should have been its own game separate from each yearly release
Yes, yes, YES.
Ruined both the 6 v 6 multiplayer and more recently LITERALLY THE CAMPAIGNS!
Cod is cinematic! Turning it into Far Cry is STUPID.
Far Cry not only has its own identity, but also a big reason of why those games can be 40+ hours. Because Far Cry style is done to extend play time!
So using Far Cry style (weapons free) on COD and delivering a 4 or less hour campaign is nothing short of SUPER LAZY!
The last cosmetic that was actually pretty cool was tracer packs. I also agree that ghost was a battle hardened brit, but now he's a glowing joke
Fr
I still have 0 kills in warzone 😢
Love you T, can’t wait to see what videos you do next 💚
More to come!
If they just separate the games (MW19 and warzone) in two applications, I think that could have ended the stability and crash problems (I’m no dev, just my opinion)❤
PD: I love ur videos, keep it up❤️
Hot take: Warzone is not fun anymore
im with you
thanks to Resurgence
I honestly blame both MP and Warzone for what has happened to campaigns in COD
The craziest part is they don't even have dope bundles anymore their all just bullshit. WZ1 Cold War integration had the absolute coolest bundles.
yes, warzone ruined cod
ouch :(
Carried. Not ruined
A free game having cosmetics is ok
But a fully priced game having "micro" transactions is a total SCAM
Did cheating streamers and cheaters in general and Activision ruin Call of Duty? That should be the real question
can we all acknowledge blackout was WAYYY better than war zone
This video is a perfect explanation of what warzone did to cod, but there is one thing I didn’t agree on in that warzone saved cod by a lot of players coming back or being introduced. Yes it made everyone play cod again but warzone really isn’t call of duty. It’s its own game and that’s why call of duty was abodoned. Cod would have had a player base even without warzone just not as many people which is honestly for the betterment of the franchise. But that’s sadly not the case
Oh man I love these documentaries
wooohooooo
In a way yes but also no. Mw2019 was a horrendous multiplayer experience so in a way warzone saved many people from leaving the series myself included. That being said they have def taken resources away from MP and just put them into warzone and its clear its suffering.
And the one time call of duty last year had third person mode to make it actually even worth buying skins they remove it this year
100% Yes, zero doubt in my mind that it did. It single handedly sucked away from campaign, multiplayer, and zombies. Those modes are a shell of their former selves.
Cod was 100x better when you payed for the content you actually wanted 😢
With war zone I just wish they sold separate skins with actual military outfits like Soviet Union or Vietnam outfit…
The problem with call of duty is that whatever success they achieve, they have to streamline it and make it a standard
simple answer: yes
I’d really like to separate out Warzone and 6v6. Completely different games
Cheating Hacking and pay to win killed COD
WARZONE made cheating a thing. Literally. It made suckers become WORSE at a video game that cheating became CONTENT. it became entertainment. It no longer was about putting genuine skill to the formula. Warzone normalized cheating. COD is dying to this day because of it.
I’m pretty sure years from now we will look back at modern warfare 3 and talk about how great of a game it was we always do this we always think things from the past are so great when the current product is just bad that’s just how it goes with anything though not just video games
1:02 *No mixed reception for me, COD WW2 is best COD and FPS in the last 7 years* still play heavily today. The COD Community and Gaming world can try to deny it but *the game was innovative, simple, straightforward and saved COD* especially after The Overhaul Update.
If you dont think so how are those Automatic AUTOMATIC disbanded lobbies, heavy SBMM, and 15+ aiming and sensitivity settings you change every week , treating you in those Modern CODs? lol.
Considering how bad zombies, campaign and multiplayer have been since BO3 came out I’d say warzone saved cod.If not for warzone the numbers would’ve significantly fell off
Idk about others but I had so much fun with the boys playing warzone during the quarantine and even made a couple more friends. It was a fantastic experience
Warzone didn’t ruin cod, activision did. It became their favourite child they neglect the other kids to cater to it. Warzone is the definition of being a hero but living long enough to be the villain. Every warzone edition since post Cold War updates has not been good.
Never resurrected Graves. He actually was never in that tank he escaped in a cutscene in the facility. You could see him running for a split second
Also, streamers and camping ruined the game. Everything is meta/exploits and other feedback that causes the devs to change the game. It was simpler time before this and people played their own way and weren't playing like every match is ranked
Sweats and cheaters ruined the game
No warzone. Sweats and cheaters are always gonna be there
Activision did
People hate change warzone and verdansk definitely elevated the game saved us during lockdown it came with alot of amazing features a brilliant map and the resurgence with an amazing remake of rebirth island. The ruined it with caldera
Not to mention everything I bought in warzone 1 I’ve lost
Yes and no. It was fun and cool, but movement bs, and sweating has been a massive issue
Multiplayer is the most affected? Bro didint even mention zombies😭💀
I wish Call of Duty would add more of the game's soundtrack to game play. It's a very nice one.
Removing wz from cod will ruin cod, but keeping WZ will also ruin cod... there is no winning.
Honestly a fair point.
Dude... warzone saved the call of duty franchise, without warzone mw3 maybe wouldn't even exist. BR demolished MP for A LOT
*Warzone is just rebranded Free for All just expanded to an open world* Everyone camps until the last 15 or 10 players and then the real game starts to see who will be No.1
I hate Warzone because of cross-play, I’m on PS4 and I basically always fight off PC users which makes it unfair, I only get happy in MP but that was a limited time mode and I don’t own it
🤨 where? I’ll get 3 pc players in my lobby’s max. And I’m a pc player, 85% of the lobbies I’m in is controller players I’ll even see pc players using controllers singe aim assist is just way easier to abuse
the only dumb decisions being made are letting SHG make games, and killing off DMZ for a wack version of zombies.
I have been playing for 10 years. now not anymore because now all these kids download and cheat. absolute shit
Warzone 1 ( Mission Succes )
Warzone 2 ( Mission Failed )
Warzone 3 ( Mission on the way )
Actually people Still arguing about Thick rate and Matchmaking system but Belive or not warzone 1 also has that stuf and no one complaining, which mean warzone 2-3 Is actually not bad and not even bad at all its solid game no one game can Replace it but Why we hate it is because we already taste the godly game like Warzone 1
yeah the cod mobile comics have a long ass running story and stories
Warzone was necessary but at this stage, the detrimental effect it has bought to MP and Zombies, I've completely lost interest in Cod
All honesty, as a working adult, I much rather pay to get guaranteed content
"tried to copy overwatch by making black ops 4 a hero shooter " meanwhile BO 3:
10:02 ink slasher: imma stop you right there
OG Warzone (2020-2021) brought COD back to the top of gaming.
Call of Duty should try making an extraction shooter.
(Not like DMZ, shoot and loot style. Like Tarkov)
I think Warzone made CoD even better.
The bigger maps are tacticaly so much more interesting to play than these tiny maps
I think COD was more fun before PC was involved.
No hacks and frames and FOV bullshit.
Take me back to OG CoD4/World at War/Black Ops 1 & 2 when these games were fun & not full of tryhards.
did "greed" ruin cod? yes , and warzone is a product of that.
