Hopefully some helpful clarification. The AMG Real Performance Sound uses microphones to amplify the exhaust sound into the vehicle. Yes this option does allow you to select the exhaust valves in comfort mode but doesn’t make the car any louder than those fitted without this option in Sport plus. The EU press car and UK vehicles are the same in Sport plus and Race mode - just not in comfort.
Where do you get this information from? In this video when he plays back the video from Europe. The car is louder from the outside vs the UK one. If this only impacted the sound pumped in, wouldn't the sound be the same from outside? In this video the sound can barely even be picked up from the camera right by the exhaust. In the video in Europe you can hear the car loudly even when it is being filmed from a camera far away driving off.
Was exhaust valve set to Open in Comfort mode on EU test, if so, that is the point of difference and something we will not be able to do in UK. I have one of these on order, so an interested party. Info from Product Manager for CLE at MB UK.

I am one step behind you I have been excited about this car for the past year and was so glad when it was finally revealed all the videos praised it. I am hoping if the sound isn't the same as the European cars enough people will complain about this and Mercedes alter this for the 2025 build sheet.
@@AdamHart-j4c I checked with my dealer and got the same clarification that there is no external difference in sound between UK and EU spec. I also went on the German configurator and looked up the description of the option he refers to that isnt on the car in the UK. Notably it is only found in the multimedia part of the options list and the description is clear it is only for the interior of the car. It says(according to google translate), "With the AMG Real Performance Sound, your AMG sounds even more emotional and you can determine how the turbo engine sounds in the interior. At the touch of a button or touchscreen you can adjust the sound between sporty-subtle (BALANCED) or sporty-emotional (POWERFUL)."
Isn't this exhaust problem because of some UK Laws/regulations? Google says: "Since 2016 the UK adopted EU regulation 2014/540, which set an initial noise limit of 72 decibels - actually around ten times quieter than the 1978 limit, since decibels use a logarithmic scale - and this will go down to around 68 decibels by 2026, alongside revisions to the car noise test procedure to make it more [...]"
Some things can even be due to California as car mfg don't want to make too many different parts, and they measure during acceleration, so even Tesla failed a test as the tires were too noisy. 😑
In the Czech Republic, I ordered a CLE 53 in full equipment (Manufaktura white color, nappa brown leather, forged wheels from the GT model, AMG Real Performance Sound and AMG Driving Package and AMG Premium Plus) for £66k Netto in conversion. I got quite a big discount from the dealer.
I have a 2021 E53 coupe, thanks for RBR and couldn't have been happier. My dealership in Canada has been non stop trying to get me to trade it in and take the CLE53, thankfully I elected against it. Ended up getting a 2018 C4S as well to curb my need for a nimble vehicle
I’m from the US..didn’t test drive the CLE53 we got and did not see the sticker because I already test drove 2 that had the performance sound. Found out after the fact it didn’t have it on ours smh. My salesman said you need to have amg performance exhaust to have the amg performance sound and it’s prob not on yours…NOTE - amg Performance exhaust is supposed to be a standard option…so why isn’t it on mine? 🤷♂️ Amg performance sound is a standard option in the US when dealers order (I can confirm that when another salesman showed me their system) and is also not an option you can add on if you were to build your own online as a consumer. So why is it not on mine? dealers are charging an extra $550 as an “upgraded option” for other cle53’s that have amg performance sound. IMO thats just something they can “discount” during the sales process when it’s already a standard option Dealer is now silent and nothing from MBUSA regarding the issue. They’re bouncing me back and forth to each other. There’s a ticket but no answer yet. Now wondering if my cle 53 actually came with a performance exhaust as advertised as well. Would have never got the one we got if I knew it didn’t have amg performance sound. I agree with you, the sound makes this car and if you were to upgrade the exhaust to an aftermarket one the warranty is void. How do I get it added on mine? Is it something I would have to pay for or can MB actually do right and add it on? Really feel like it’s falsely advertised. Any help would be appreciated. Oh btw both computer screens in mine keeps freezing while driving. Going to get it serviced again to fix it.
Given how most cars now include wiring looms that can have all the options added as well as having software that allows manufacturers to enable/disable options as simply as checking a check box, it does amaze me that manufacturers think they know what their customers want by supposedly hearing their thoughts and issues to react accordingly but not obviously 'listening' to them thus still limiting what can be purchased. Packages work if the manufacturer uses historic customer order information to group commonly chosen options together for ease and reduced cost for the consumer but with other individual options not in the packages made available that can then also be chosen at will. That equals a happy customer! It also extends to the gradual reduction in colour palettes for new cars. It is fine to reduce availability if people are ordering a certain reduced set of popular colours from a large palette but then when that palette is reduced subsequently, make other colours available if customers who don't want the reduced palette colours want something more personal. 'Paint to Sample', 'Individual' options etc.. work well in that respect but don't seem to always be available. Given auto factories are amongst the most high tech available, speccing certain colours or options would be (is) so easy for them to do and would again equal happy customers. I keep away from Mercedes for the limited choice of options....
Agreed. This particular option is something we can activate with a quick plug in of the computer. We investigated, and the sensors/amps required are there. Why not give customers the choice?
@@RemoveBeforeRace Are you able to confirm if the car sounds any better from the outside if it is in Sports+ or Race mode? In 2021 UK changed the homologation rules to new ones and not aligned to EC-EU type ones. In 2018 with the new WLTP and afterwards the RDE is causing a lot of headaches to the brands, they were forced to reduce drastically the variants on the models and equipment combination, due the complexity for the homologation standards and requirements. Since 2018 it's being noticeable how all brands reduced a lot the options and customization capabilities in their models. Also withing the EU markets you could see the same model not always the options and equipment available are the same and basically is due this and the costs and time consuming to achieve those emission homologations.

and even this: "Noise Cameras: The government has begun trials of noise cameras, which can detect vehicles exceeding set noise limits. These cameras differentiate between engine sounds and other noises (like horns) and can automatically issue fines to offending drivers13. Current trials are underway in several areas, and councils will have the authority to penalize noisy drivers based on these findings3."

Apparently it is code 339 on the Mercedes OASIS computer sytem
Check every spec carefully - on the new E53 AMG base spec “ Premium” models don’t have the “AMG performance sound option” plus no head up display or massage seats - sound makes a huge difference in a car for me.
WOW. That's crazy. You're totally right. UK product management is really out of touch with their customers with the CLE53🤯. I'm hoping and praying MBUSA doesn't start to follow whatever rule book UK is following.
Clearly Mercedes UK 🇬🇧 doesn't know their customers 🙄 I tend to believe Mercedes Benz/AMG as a whole since they decided to put a 2 Litre on a legendary C63 😢
I just moved from Irrland to Portugal. The specs are the same in Ireland as the UK with the packs. In Portugal I spec!d mine with all the exhaust options so I get the full sound of the car on the outside. I chose the yellow and woth yellow on the seats and stitching inside also. It really is a beautiful looking car. Hopefully picking it up early in the new year.
I’ve owned a 2017 C43 coupe for 6yrs and love it for the performance exhaust note. When the CLE53 was first tested by RBR in Europe my heart was saying ‘that’s my next car’. Now that I know the exhaust note for UK models is 😮 I’ll look elsewhere for my thrills or have to aftermarket exhaust it on a 2nd hand one later next year once the price is more realistic, it’s way overpriced with the present UK options.
My problem with the CLE 53 AMG is that it costs as much as the CLS 53 AMG. The CLE 53 AMG is a mix of the C-Class and E-Class, whereas the CLS is more of a blend between the E-Class and slightly the S-Class. So, how can the price of the CLE be justified?
I actually saw one of these today. Looked pretty mean but didn't have the amazing magno paint. I think it's pretty clear what happened here. AMG make multiple configurations of each model for different markets, such as the US market which has different exhaust regulations. I'd bet that the press trip cars were specified to be delivered with that version of the exhaust/software which enables much more fun. MB UK have been letting us down here for years in terms of spec anyway, so it shouldn't be a surprise. Time to factor in the cost of a performance exhaust into every new car purchase.
I wanted an AMG before settling somewhat for the new M2, and I didn't go for one for these exact reasons. I was absolutely baffled by the Mercedes "configurator", I thought I was in the wrong place due to how little to no options I was given, I couldn't figure it out and ended up just shutting it down and going to BMW.
the AMG Performance sound is not ordered in this car .. therefore ,there isn't a exhaust sound button ...also the Dynamic plus package isn't ordered = the reason why the race mode option isn't available after the S+ , in dynamic select .
Yeah I hate those black wheels with the performance package! I was even considering getting them repainted after buying a brand new one....luckily that won't be an issue now that I've found out about the exhaust note. 😁
Because they drive on the wrong side of the road. There is a lot of one time development cost and production complications coming with that for quite a low number of cars being produced. So they try to make up for that with other things
Iam just an average 58 year old, who has never driven a merc or audi or bmw, but EVEN I know that when you hear a proper AMG merc it has a " muscle car" sound that in the uk is it USP. for mercedes to not understand this is beyond daft.
I had 53AMG CLS face-lift 2023 and it does pop's and bangs and had exhaust button to open it but is doing very low intensity is no louder. Plus you need to wait for the engine to go hot hot and you will lovely it.CLS 53 has the same engine 6 in line 450hp. But maybe different exhaust!
And by the ways mine CLS53 AMG is from Romania 🇷🇴 is not in UK maybe that why sound so nice becouse of different regulations....etc. Shame for UK models it kill the experience totally almost
I just spoke to our local Mercedes dealer (JCT600) about this and the AMG Real Performance Sound will be available in the UK as a selectable option from Jan 2025.
This was a great video with spot on take of the current situation at AMG. Just read an interview with the current AMG boss and it was very disheartening. Read as someone completely out of touch with the customer base. They are pushing through with electrification and blames poor c63 sales on the lack of understanding the tech
I test drove one in Belgium and it did have the exhaust control. Unfortunatly couldn't get it in my driveway because of the low groundclearence. Looking for a GLC coupe now.
Also in the UK if you want AMG styling pack with the comfortable seats (massage and perfume) it is not possible. You are forced to chose the Pro Performance pack with the performance (too hard) seats. And that removes the massage and perfume.Screw you Mercedes UK!
The last 53 I drove (a ‘20 E53) felt artificial and soulless. I got back into my ‘11 C63 and went back in time to when AMG engineered true excitement into their cars.
I saw demo of CLE53 in showroom in Bangkok and noticed a lot of moisture in both sides of headlamps!!! I asked staff in showroom and they said this is normal ! 😂😂😂
I am one who has not brought the car because of this. I had a C43 and was excited at the prospect of ordering the CLE 53 as the replacement. Following a test drive with the intention of pre ordering I was completely underwhelmed for a car that was c.£90k. the exhaust tones being a big issue for me personally.
If one can shell out this much money for a unique car like this just get an exhaust upgrade for sound afterwords. I agree, it should have definitely been a factory install but it’s something easily fixed.
I’ve been waiting for one of you guys to make a video like this for ages! Mercedes UK have been excluding options from our market for years. It’s infuriating! All I want is the car I want. All other territories in Europe can simply spec the car they want. In the UK we haven’t been able to do that for years. Mercedes UK is killing the product here. It’s the same on every vehicle and range. I’ve reached the point of always directly comparing with Mercedes Germany to see how much of the cars spec we’re missing. Mercedes UK, I’m out, until you get a grip.
Mercedes UK need to give us all the options instead of the packages, its so frustrating and puts me off Mercedes. You can order a RHD in Ireland instead to get the proper option choices.
Amg’s don’t have the aura they once had. I prefer my daily 2024 model 3 highland performance over any of these new amgs. And when I need some noise, I’ll jump into my lambo or f8 tributo. I also have a spyder RS on order and excited for that. I saw your Spyder RS as well, so congrats on that too. I don’t know why but Australia seems to get everything a year after the rest of the world
So an update - as of now 08/10, people in the UK can add the Real Performance Sound option through the dealer which means exhaust valves are controllable in all the modes! I’m assured this does make it identical to the European spec examples for sound. @RemoveBeforeRace. Would value your thoughts - is this a fix??
I own a CLE53 (uk). Im not sure how this would fix the issue. I believe the valves are open in sport + mode but it is still quiet. Having controllable valves in other modes won’t make it louder. I also thought the performance sound just puts more sound through the speakers? I was told by Mercedes that it is to comply with the impending tightening of noise regulations.
@@DecievedREALITY999 thanks, will only ever be as loud as it is in Sports+, just now will be able to have that in the other modes too. The point being that the UK spec cars and those available in the EU will now be the same with the Real Sound available. EU noise regs get tighter again soon, so perhaps some early compliance by AMG here.
amg lost me as a customer. I placed an order on the amg gt 4door during covid but it was cancelled. Thought about placing an order on one until I saw the facelift. It ruined the whole car for me.
Was exhaust valve set to
Open in Comfort mode on EU test, if so, that is the point of difference and something we will not be able to do in UK. I have one of these on order, so an interested party. Info from Product Manager for CLE at MB UK.
@@AdamHart-j4c In this video when he revs it, its in Sports+ mode. I am sure if it sounded how it did in Europe in Sports+ he would have mentioned that instead he seems to be insinuating the sound is bad regardless of the mode. I hope you're right about it sounding the same as the European cars in Sports+ mode but I am doubtful. I am one step behind you I have been excited about this car for the past year and was so glad when it was finally revealed all the videos praised it. I am scheduled to order it in April, and it will be my first brand new car, this video has killed my excitement slightly. I am hoping if the sound isn't the same as the European cars enough people will complain about this and Mercedes alter this for the 2025 build sheet.
I certainly am in that camp too - speaking with Dealer and MB UK to see what can be done, but unlikely to change on UK ‘ launch spec cars’
I'm in love with the design, the sound can be fixed
Armytrix, Supersprint etc will make lovely exhaust systems for this thing.
Isn't this exhaust problem because of some UK Laws/regulations?
Google says:
"Since 2016 the UK adopted EU regulation 2014/540, which set an initial noise limit of 72 decibels - actually around ten times quieter than the 1978 limit, since decibels use a logarithmic scale - and this will go down to around 68 decibels by 2026, alongside revisions to the car noise test procedure to make it more [...]"
Mind sharing the dealer's name? In my country a fully loaded model costs EUR 110,000.
sranda. na slovensku sa nechcu bavit o rabate.
Could you write the the dealer's name?
I’m a big AMG fan boy but I stand here today to tell AMG lover’s that the brand is DEAD
I have to agree with you. They've destroyed everything that made us fall in love with the brand. I wouldn't spend a dime on modern AMGs.
I love old merc with big enige, and have cls 550, everday make happy, but new Mercedes looks like no emotions. 😢
Correct 😂😂😂😂
I stand by you . Time to convert for all of us because what is this garbage that past few years
I’ll keep my 507, thanks
Amg performance sound is a standard option in the US when dealers order (I can confirm that when another salesman showed me their system) and is also not an option you can add on if you were to build your own online as a consumer. So why is it not on mine?
dealers are charging an extra $550 as an “upgraded option” for other cle53’s that have amg performance sound. IMO thats just something they can “discount” during the sales process when it’s already a standard option
Dealer is now silent and nothing from MBUSA regarding the issue.
Some other comments on this video seem to suggest they have spoken to Mercedes employees. And the UK version sounds the same as the EU version. Apparently the Real AMG Performance option only includes pumped in Audio.
So when you open the valves all it does is the pumped in Audio. Apparently although the UK version doesn't have this option the valves are open in Sports+ mode so the UK version should sound the same as the EU one when in Sports+ or Race mode. Can you confirm if in your experience the the car sounds any better in other modes? Also do you have anymore content planned for the CLE 53?
I've noticed a lack of content on this car from some of the other big youtube channels.
@@AshmanNW I have the CLE53 performance plus night edition (uk) and the exhaust sound is VERY poor. I’ve previously owned a C43 and that would bang on the upshift and have pops and crackles. The CLE53 has a nice rumble in sports + but no pops, bangs or crackles. It’s a very nice car but I’m disappointed with the sound. I don’t have the Real AMG performance sound but I understand this is just sound from the speakers.
@@DecievedREALITY999 Good to hear from someone who owns the car. Did you get the pro performance option? apparently with the pro performance option you get race mode and race start which drops the 0-60 from 4.2 secs to 4.0. If so how does race mode compare to Sports+ mode?> I am considering getting this option but I am not too bothered about the other things included in it such as the red brake calipers and engine mounts. I just want the race mode if there is a big enough difference between it and Sports+ mode.
@@AshmanNW I’ve not got the pro performance option. Got the CLE53 premium plus with night pack. I spoke to the AMG tech at Birmingham Mercedes and they said the exhaust sound has been muted to comply with uk noise regs. There is no exhaust button and the sound is nothing like the eu CLE53 reviews. I love the car but if you are after a good exhaust sound you will be disappointed. It’s nothing like my previous c43 coupe sound but is amazing to drive.
In MBW Weybridge today and ready to part money for an E53 wagon order but sales rep flatly declined to even look on the system for the UK exhaust option, let alone investigate potential to have it fitted at factory. E53 sales in the UK will be negotiable, I can confirm.
Noise regs are currently 72dB. They are dropping to 68dB soon. That’s around 70% quieter so this is only going one way now.
and even this: "Noise Cameras:
The government has begun trials of noise cameras, which can detect vehicles exceeding set noise limits. These cameras differentiate between engine sounds and other noises (like horns) and can automatically issue fines to offending drivers13.
Current trials are underway in several areas, and councils will have the authority to penalize noisy drivers based on these findings3."
The US version sounds good, not muted.
It sounds decent. Bmw m3 sounds better imo.
@@G82Watts this doesn't compete with an M3
@@G82Watts this competes with m440i
@@timonxDlolwhich still sounds miles better
Everyone saying it doesnt compete with the m4 but the price is closer to an m4 than to an m440i
AMG got Covid. More coughs and wheezes than pops and bangs.
Never realised how small you are until I saw that AMG steering wheel next to you . Bet you get a great driving position in any car!
Can an after-market sports exhaust be installed? If so, you would have the complete package at an entry level.
Disappointment after disappointment. It’s time, Mr AMG, to become Mr M officially.
Shame they're all so ugly
M exhausts have sounded shitty since 2003😂
The only thing worse than 2024 AMG, is 2024 «M». Ugliest cars on the market
Great video. Just been advised by my Mercedes dealer that the AMG Real Performance Sound option WILL be added to UK spec AMG CLE coupe and cabriolet cars with effect from December 2024 as standard and a no cost option to align with model year MY 805.5 across the core AMG range, thank goodness.
Always nice to hear the opinions of a car journalist who is bought and paid for.
I love Raz’s honesty. ❤
The day they killed the CLS was when I said bye to mercedes.
A good looking car, perfectly spec for me
I still give the prev gen c63 AMG coupe the edge ❤❤❤
Probably the most important video you have done and 2 yrs too late. Last few minutes is spot on. Who is buying these cars?!!!
Speed without sound is not as much fun but sound without speed already speaks for itself.
Disaster. After this video i will cancel my order for CLE 53 Cabriolet.I’m absolutely serious
Don't blame you,it has nothing going for it
But why would you want exhaust sound through the speakers when you have a cabriolet?
you know better big cabrio than cle53? im not... with this price and luxury?
Wait for the 63 V8
My problem with the CLE 53 AMG is that it costs as much as the CLS 53 AMG. The CLE 53 AMG is a mix of the C-Class and E-Class, whereas the CLS is more of a blend between the E-Class and slightly the S-Class. So, how can the price of the CLE be justified?
The transition from you loving mag to m division needs to be studied 😂
No idea who would buy these things. I have a 2013 C63 and it’s a work of art. A masterpiece… and also saving the planet from EV decimation.
Is this really what buyers want? 😢
if this is the future of ICE, i'll go BEV
I wanted an AMG before settling somewhat for the new M2, and I didn't go for one for these exact reasons. I was absolutely baffled by the Mercedes "configurator", I thought I was in the wrong place due to how little to no options I was given, I couldn't figure it out and ended up just shutting it down and going to BMW.
The depreciation on this gen of CLE is going to be massive when they bring out the V8 version
the AMG Performance sound is not ordered in this car .. therefore ,there isn't a exhaust sound button ...also the Dynamic plus package isn't ordered = the reason why the race mode option isn't available after the S+ , in dynamic select .
13:10 How come the UK configurator is so limited? Other brands give you more choices. I wonder if it's to do with fleet emissions and EU laws.
But its just a fake piping in of the sound through the speakers. No great loss
Raz that was a cold ending I like it 😂
Thank god in europe we have the real exhaust system. This is much quieter than my E53 coupe
I was looking to buy one, but now I’ll buy something noisier xx 😢
Iam just an average 58 year old, who has never driven a merc or audi or bmw, but EVEN I know that when you hear a proper AMG merc it has a " muscle car" sound that in the uk is it USP.
for mercedes to not understand this is beyond daft.
I had 53AMG CLS face-lift 2023 and it does pop's and bangs and had exhaust button to open it but is doing very low intensity is no louder. Plus you need to wait for the engine to go hot hot and you will lovely it.CLS 53 has the same engine 6 in line 450hp. But maybe different exhaust!
Yeah mine is doing the same like the nardo grey one from Spain. SAME SOUND .
And by the ways mine CLS53 AMG is from Romania 🇷🇴 is not in UK maybe that why sound so nice becouse of different regulations....etc. Shame for UK models it kill the experience totally almost
Danish Market cars also have zero sound. I was stunned when I saw the first one, and it had no button. And no emotion start either....
Could probably install the Renntech or ASR module which would allow you to open the exhaust valves 100% at the push of a remote button.
RIP AMG!!!
This model car is for style it’s to look good and stand out in silence not stand out in loudness
Sure glad I'm keeping my 2023 W205 C43 coupe.
I just spoke to our local Mercedes dealer (JCT600) about this and the AMG Real Performance Sound will be available in the UK as a selectable option from Jan 2025.
But doesn’t that option just pipe fake sound through the speakers? I don’t believe it will make the exhaust sounds better.
You should try a new E class estate in 450d exclusive premium plus trim and just relax into it
Mercedes think they know what we want.. and they don't!🤣
Been an AMG fanatic for many years, share the same thoughts on this. The latest Mercedes-AMG line up has been below par and it’s a huge shame.
This is the same issue in Australia when I was ordering my gle63s I wanted brown interior/wood trim and they weren’t even available
Look it’s a car for a grown up. No bangs no burbles. Nice.
Mine has the exhaust control. Are you sure you didn’t have it hidden? (USA)
Also in the UK if you want AMG styling pack with the comfortable seats (massage and perfume) it is not possible. You are forced to chose the Pro Performance pack with the performance (too hard) seats. And that removes the massage and perfume.Screw you Mercedes UK!
In South Africa we are only offered a SL 43 AMG as a one engine variant!
Awesome video again mate - MBUK need a serious kick up the rear end - the U.K. specs are a complete mess.
The last 53 I drove (a ‘20 E53) felt artificial and soulless. I got back into my ‘11 C63 and went back in time to when AMG engineered true excitement into their cars.
thank god i still have my 2017 c63s amg
I saw demo of CLE53 in showroom in Bangkok and noticed a lot of moisture in both sides of headlamps!!!
I asked staff in showroom and they said this is normal ! 😂😂😂
I am one who has not brought the car because of this. I had a C43 and was excited at the prospect of ordering the CLE 53 as the replacement. Following a test drive with the intention of pre ordering I was completely underwhelmed for a car that was c.£90k. the exhaust tones being a big issue for me personally.
Nothing a tune and exhaust won’t fix
If one can shell out this much money for a unique car like this just get an exhaust upgrade for sound afterwords. I agree, it should have definitely been a factory install but it’s something easily fixed.
Wish they put the drivetrain of c63s e performance into this I like the shape & body lines more
Never cared about exhaust, exhaust control or any of that. noise should come from the engine, not the exhaust.
This car is beautiful to me. Fight me
My M8 arrives in November 😂😂😂😂😂think I will mothball my M5 😂😂😂😂
I would be embarrassed driving a BMW. But thats my opinion
I felt your pain brother...
I just a had test drive in Germany. The "AMG Performance Sound" is optional here but is has no impact on the EXTERIOR sound...
That is also the case in Europe and the UK but I don't think Raz realised this when he made the film.
First they get rid of emotion start and now this? Damn.....otherwise a great looking car.
Have you seen the configurations available in Australia, even more limited than the UK.
I recently walked away from buying a 2020 s5 when found out two exhaust were fake and it’s fitted with a sound box 😩
Could it be that your car was not specced with the "Switchable Engine Sound" option?
The c9 corvette sounds significantly better and doesn’t need to adhere to sound regulations. It’s a proper car. I would buy that instead.
Just when I thought Amg was recovering…
That's wild no sound when cls amg gt and e 53 has the exhaust sound pops and bangs. Weird not in this especially being newer
amg lost me as a customer. I placed an order on the amg gt 4door during covid but it was cancelled. Thought about placing an order on one until I saw the facelift. It ruined the whole car for me. A few interior changes was what really broke the deal for me. First is the center console gear selector. The one on the pre facelift felt so solid and high quality. Mercedes moved it to the steering column and man it feels so flimsy and cheap. The the executive back seat where they removed the iPad screen in the center console in place for a standard temperature control.
