I will be in Terre Haute during the week of April 9-12th. I plan on riding Griffin then. Rode it a couple of times last year on a Trek Roscoe but a lot of the trails were closed after the big wind storm. I will have my Polygon D7 with me this year. I am coming up from VA and who knows maybe see ya on the trails that week. Great channel Joshua!
Let's definitely plan a get together!!! I do not recall if I have you on Instagram (if you have one) if you do definitely message me so we can plan a ride! 😁😁😁
I like riding my brakes high like that too I did raise motocross for 10 years but my brake levers are damn near horizontal with the bars😂😂😂😂 but I ride wheelies 90% of my time that I'm out riding it's just my thing that I like to do
I got the tektro m275 on my 3-month-old 2024 specialized rockhopper sport but I'm looking to sell it and get a full suspension maybe go with the polygon I love hard tails but I want a full suspension for more jumps and stuff
This polygon is very nice for the price! I enjoy hardtails a lot but a squish is nice for the rear travel if you are hitting some bigger drops or jumps.
So I really love that green paint! What always worried me about the polygons was the short chain stays, that's why the bike feels so nimble but I worry about higher speed stability and climbing the bike trying to wheelie. Did you run into anything like that?
For a local bike trail that's a pretty nice Trail. I have to take exception what you said about Shimano brakes, there must be a dozen different versions and they all act a little bit different but I have to disagree with you saying the shimano's are on and off I think shimano's in general even the cheap mt200 have a lot of modulaion with a decent size rotor
I know a lot of riders would disagree with me but I don't trust Shimano in downhill scenarios, the two only time in my life I experienced noticeable level of brake fade and inconsistencies on a MTB is with Shimano XT brakes that came on my Jeckyll and some MT520's on a location bike at a bike park. I must say I rode the Saints for two years on my Norco Aurum and they were ok but not "always" ok a bit like the magura mt7's lever feel is pretty sensitive to temperature changes and elevation...
@LaurentiusTriarius Everyone definitely seems to have different takes on brakes and there is nothing wrong with that. Definitely preferences at the end of the day and ride what you like 😁😁😁
I've just left them on for now since I'll have to send it back to bikes online. Just another form of protection for the ports. I am aware they are not needed 😁
@@chickensendiesThat's crazy that they send them to you to review but then you got to send them back? A lot of companies bikes and outside of biking videos that I watch when they send a review to review it they give them a base model or let them have it that's pretty crazy polygon does it
Smooth vibes today man 😊 I'm thinking about getting a Colossus and try to get it as lightweight as possible with budget ali parts. I wonder if polygon would approve if I filmed the process 😂
@@chickensendies it's sexy tho, that suspension design is a geek wet dream lol I'd really like one if my wife approves, I'd get a frame to build, not seeing this option yet... Idk what is what your wife have sounds nasty but anyway I wish you all the health you need ✌️
imo, since the price for everything MTB is mostly back to 2019 standards. You can build a decent bike comparable to the T9 but the T6/T7 is still a heck of a deal!
So purty out there! What a great ride video. Great review! And glad your Marley is all good!
Was very nice to get out!!! You and me both my man! Was a longggggg 2 weeks.
Man, I have to say I really like your content and reviews. I subscribed earlier this morning. Great video and thanks!
Appreciate the kind words and thank you!! Welcome to channel 😁😁😁

That trail looks fun. You ride your brakes high and moto style like me. That British Racing green color is sick. Looks like a work of art.
Definitely a fun trail for being so close! I am really digging the green! Very cool colorway 😁😁😁

I am in that the Small / Medium range for frames, yes like you said Smedium lol
Smediums for all!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Hey, i bought your upgraded mongoose ledge x1 from someone and i love it.
Hey!!! Glad it is still with someone who is enjoying it! I had a blast building that up! 😁😁😁

The climb I did was pretty steep imo and it was planted the entire time 😁😁😁 It was wayyyyy more nimble than anticipated. Very fun bike!

As I mentioned, "a lot" of people don't like them because they feel that way (to them) 😁 I typically run shimano because I am a big fan.
What I was trying to get at though was if you talk to people who do not like either brand those are typically their complaints over them.

@@LaurentiusTriarius so what brakes do you use now?
Griffin bike park in Terra haute Indiana?
This ride is actually at Charleston, IL. I am hoping to get to Griffin here soon with it! 😁😁😁
How much does the T9 weigh?
Hope you didn't ride with the red bleed port covers. They are just needed for transport purposes.

That would be fun to see how light you can get it!!! It's definitely a colossal of a bike HAHAHAHA

Appreciate it man! 😁
Not first this time.. was working on my bikes.
Get them bikes done! hahaha

That could be a fun video.... Build up a bike with online retailers and see how much it'll be.
Polygon gives you a lot for your money.
Definitely quite a bit bang for your buck imo 😁😁😁
First?
😁😁😁😉
