Nice vid! The dirt's pretty prime right up there right now. The only thing I would have upgraded is the front tire. Something like a Tacky Chan or MM in the super trail, soft or ultra soft would be perfect.
The wide view has quite a bit of distortion and when you change direction quickly, all objects dance a little bit. I like the wide angle when you are stationary and moving slow but as soon as you start riding fast, it gets a little dizzy. The bike looks pretty amazing.
I couldn’t believe the difference the Shimano SLX chain made on my bike. Immediately got a couple more for my son’s bikes. The kmc ones weren’t worn, they just didn’t shift as smoothly. Genuinely surprised what a difference it made.
Why did you buy the t9 instead of the t6 if you were just going to upgrade the parts anyway? I am thinking of doing the same thing…. What am I missing?
Yah he made so many upgrades to the bike its almost not even the same bike anymore. The only thing of value he kept on it was the rear fox suspension. Other then that he basically dropped another $2k in upgrades. Could have gotten a T6 and then upgraded it or maybe just buy a complete enduro bike.
I ride an MRP Ribbon (160mm) in the front and RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate in the rear. Had some trepidation over brand mixing but that's because of my OCD. But got over it the second I dialed both my shocks and had some of the best rides I ever have riddent. Next, to get some more outside of my comfort zone, is to a put 2.4 tire in the rear and 2.6 in the front. But for the life of me, I cannot understand mullet configuration. I'm just not there yet. ha ha.
How are the 203mm rotors working for you. Some people in the Facebook group told me it will stress the frame and that 203mm rotors in the rear will void the warranty
you say the bike was almost perfect with just a few small changes. in the end you replaced almost everything. what is original? Rear derailleur, shock, cranks and frame… lmao 😂
Would going 20mm over stock void the warranty? Been told 10mm is ok but more than that changes geo and no bueno. Agree with the chain. Shimano chain makes shifting so much better.
I was a DHR2 and Assegai guy for a while but after getting a few wonky Maxxis tires I really like the consistency of the Schwalbe tires. In terms of grip, the trail casing is a great mix of rolling speed and grip.
The technical drop on Polygon's website calls for a max drop of 1m. Is that just so they're protecting themselves? Do you guys feel it can handle more or is that about right? I can't believe it wouldn't be able to take more, but looking for insights on those who've ridden it.
@@MisterNeuchy I’m sure they’re just protecting themselves… I’ve done a 10ft drop on it with no issues. But I guess it all depends on how smooth you or the drop is…
Tough call… I’m a little more partial to the value you get with Polygon… The T9 has elite level Fox, XT, and TRP… That’s as good as it gets under 3k.🤘🏻
The DVO fork looks amazing but I must say adding 20 mils to the travel kind of defeats the purpose of the trail bike. The whole purpose of a trail bike is to make it equally good with climbs, maneuverable and confident in the down hill.
lol! I just love customizing bikes for the trails that I ride and my riding style. Definitely could have gotten just a frame but bikes online send me the whole bike. Kinda like people that customize cars, they buy a complete car and then make their changes to it to personalize it for them. ✌🏻
@@TopToBottomMTB Too funny. Yeah, I get it. I've been into motorcycles most of my 63 years. I will likely end up with a T8 soon...and will leave it pretty stock. I may get some different tires...maybe some new radials...maybe. 🙂 Cheers!
For sure! All the T series frames are the same. As a polygon ambassador, I was lucky enough to get the T9 for free but if was to do it with my own $… T6 and slap on all my favourite parts!🤘🏻
Glad you're loving the T9! The new mods look sweet! Cheers!

lol… They’re in the mail!🤣
Are the pivot points in the rear suspension rebuildable? Where do you get the parts to replace when required? Thanks.

This DVO is absolutely bonkers. Just look at it !! That color is soo cool.
I've heard online that the fork gets quite noisy, is it true ?
What weight was it when stock compared to now after your mods?

I ride them pretty hard down the steepest trails I can find and have never had an issue.
So what did the bike end up weighing?
Did you get the new DVO Diamond 36 or is that the OG one?! I've been looking at the new version myself for the T8.
The OG one with the 35mm stanchions, it was on sale for like half off…
The best deals online i have seen. Ordering myself a superior exf9..🍺🍺
Definitely enjoy your content as well. Happy trails dude.🎉
Nice! You’re gonna love it! Great bike! Use one of my links! Won’t cost you anything and helps me out a ton!🤘🏻
@@TopToBottomMTB where can I find a link. Ty
so... you change just this and this and that. so now its a totally different bike :)

Yea he likes things to match but has a DVO fork and Fox shock. Do those match ?

you can increase/decrease at max 20mm of travel on the forks on a bike, 10 to 20mm only increase
Just curious, How does that Hans Damf feel compared to a DHF (maxxterra 2.5 Width) in terms of cornering grip?

So if you wanted my travel why wouldn't you just go for the N9?
I have the N9 and it’s a great enduro/park bike. BUT it does not climb nearly as well as this. Best of both worlds.🤘🏻
