I assume you do not, but I do not feel just because we disagree, that that means I am stupid. I just prefer text & you prefer voice. Also I am aware of the cc option. This is a separate issue from simply giving my feedback that the voice narration doesn’t work as well as text. Why you assume someone is stupid just because they disagree with you doesn’t exactly instill confidence in the content of your character. Hopefully it’s just a weird quirk.
I really miss the the formula with music and subtitles. As a television producer, I find it created a mood that was unique. We felt as if we were on board with engines roaring outside the cockpit. I thought the approach was very original. I'm sorry to say but your voice is not ideal, I have difficulty understanding certain words. For me it ruined it. I might as well stick to mentour pilot. Drugged? Because they took Benadryl? Stretching or clickbait? Benadryl likely had zero effect on their flying or decision making in this case. It may be banned as a sedating antihistamine, but they were hardly drugged. They made a bad collaborative decision and paid with a number of lives.
I take Benadryl for seasonal allergies. It can make you a bit groggy. Nothing crazy. So as a 110 lb woman, I can't see that heavier men would be so seriously affected. But this is yet another chapter in the volume of Aviation Doom. I vote for circadian rhythm interruption of sleep cycle and the previous day's alcohol consumption.
As someone who takes 50 Gravol (Yeah, I know, fuckin insane) a night just to be able sleep, the last thing I’d want to be doing is driving a car, let alone flying a jet. (I mention Gravol because it is in the same drug class and has similar effects to diphenhydramine)

While narration isn't my favourite thing on TFC, the owner does have a lovely voice and accent. Some prefer narration and others prefer the text. It's a personal preference, nothing to berate anyone about. 🤦🏼♀️
Something seems off with this. I have flown many times with frost on the leading edge in 152 Cessna's and 172 Cessna's and their flight characteristics were just fine. I find it difficult to believe that an aircraft with that much thrust couldn't overcome frosted wings. Icing yes, but frost?
I quite like the voice over, and I always appreciate subtitles too, due to impaired hearing. I could do without any music though. It proves every viewer has different wishes LoL. Thanks for this presentation. Well done.
Gosh, this dude is creating awesome content which entertains 1,5 million subscribers mostly for free. He tries something new and 90% of the comments feel like a shitstorm. Only 10% are discussing the video and the accident... So, in my opinion: thanks for your work @theflightchannel! I enjoy every video 🙂
Dude, I've always loved your content and you are awesome at presenting all the facts while playing. But, the magic is in the text and sound.. You always made it feel like you were there as everything was presented. The voice narration I hate to say, to me, breaks the whole magic I love this channel for. You're awesome at presenting all these events, but I like it much better the no voice narration format! I do appreciate very much what you do, and this is just my personal opinion!
Surely, by 2002, there had been a number of crashes resulting from ice formation on the wings, to have implemented a safety procedure of checking for ice prior to take off and getting it de-iced before take off? Regardless the degree of the formation? These crashes have made aviation aware of dangers and increased awareness and security over them, though I can't help feel lives have been unnecessarily lost.
Can you pls do subtitles instead of narration the voice is not bad I just prefer the subtitles you did a good job with narration but I just like subtitles more
jesus christ did the editor have add or something? the flight is 12 seconds, show the whole fucking thing without cutting every 3 seconds so we can see what's going on.
I like the voiceover, personally. However, I do understand that the no narration style is what your channel is known for, so I can see why others may want to have that back. I wouldn't take that as anything against your voice, or style of narration, or anything like that, really. I love your content regardless.
i like hearing it read to me . i have trouble seeing the white print at certain times of day . can’t see any of the words in the sun , maybe slow down a little so we can digest the info , great job !
The combination of diphenhydramine with alcohol definitely affects judgement and will cloud memory, taking off with frost or ice on the wings prevents lift, pilots were overconfident

@@gunnshell Nice, calling someone names for expressing their preferences. Only shows how stupid you actually are.
I love the voice overs, so I can listen while I'm doing other things. please keep the voice overs
I am sure you have your reasons, but my reasons for coming here , don't hold anymore. It is just feedback I am giving you, this is not a personal attack. I wish you success with your new packaging.
Thank you so much for the voiceover again, I'm resubscribing now :D
I'm legally blind and reading is very hard for me
How about making two videos--one with text and music, and one with narration and music. That way, everyone is satisfied.
Literally no one asked for the narrator but ok
If everyone is upset, they should make their own videos.
@@eucliduschaumeau8813 that’s not how it works bud
i'm a native English speaker so have no problem with the narration, but it's not particularly clear for non-native speakers. Plus I preferred the old format, it worked, why fix it? I think votes against the narrative are overwhelming. Still a great channel though.
PLEASE NOT NARRATION BUT SUBTITLES AS BEFORE
I for one am proud to see the growth that your channel has, keep going. ALL of your content is fabulous and respectful. Thank you thank you, for everything and how much your content brings to UA-cam and to us, as viewers! Thank you.
@FlightChannel stick to what works
Wait a minute, isn’t that the voice of the Original Owner?
Amazing
Yeah, he's dubbed videos before but people back then said they preferred just having the text.
@@eddiehimself yeah they often say it. But I don't mind if it's dubbed or text. I like both
He doesn’t sound the same. He sounds older.
This was tried a while back and the same comments today as then. No voice, talking. We all loved it the way it was,When something works leave it alone!
Narrator talks too fast for me, accent is distracting.,,
Just don't listen then lol
You're easily distracted.

@@Heike-- easier said than done...
With voice-over is no fun. For me, at least.
Drugged? Because they took Benadryl? Stretching or clickbait? Benadryl likely had zero effect on their flying or decision making in this case. It may be banned as a sedating antihistamine, but they were hardly drugged. They made a bad collaborative decision and paid with a number of lives.
It’s not allowed by FAA to be taking Benadryl and operating an aircraft. This goes for a lot of drugs.
That's plain wrong
I take Benadryl for seasonal allergies. It can make you a bit groggy. Nothing crazy. So as a 110 lb woman, I can't see that heavier men would be so seriously affected.
But this is yet another chapter in the volume of Aviation Doom.
I vote for circadian rhythm interruption of sleep cycle and the previous day's alcohol consumption.
@@sarahalbers5555 I vote for them skipping deicing because of the cost and then they just rationalized their way out of it.
Benedryl plus alcohol.
I love the narration!!! Keep it up!
Love you channel. PLEASE DON'T VOICE OVER. It is so much better and dramatic without vocals please. Said with all due respect and no offense meant.
Man you keep trying the dialogue and it just doesn't work for these kind of videos dude.
Care to explain why?
Sure it does. No matter what the change is, some of the audience is going to whine and complain. Ignore these people.
@@eagleone5456 Mind-numbingly boring.
@@Heike-- multiple times he's tried it, every time it sucks.
@@lostinthemasses We love it. It's great. If it bothers you then click "mute". Or go read a book.
As someone who takes 50 Gravol (Yeah, I know, fuckin insane) a night just to be able sleep, the last thing I’d want to be doing is driving a car, let alone flying a jet.
(I mention Gravol because it is in the same drug class and has similar effects to diphenhydramine)
You narrated this one! Awesome! Keep it up!
But I agree with another comment: The on-screen text would be nice to have with the narration.
Love your narration, love your channel and love your research. Thank you for such quality videos. I really enjoy your channel. Keep up the awesome work. 😊
I used to do completions (avionics suite) on the aircraft. They are really durable units.
Dubbed or Text? I like both! That's it!
I don't mind on what way he narrates it. I mind on the informations per video.
I like when you add voiceover -- makes it so I can "watch" the video on my other monitor while I'm doing other stuff without having to read the text. But I did like the text-only ones too. I'd say maybe just upload both versions from now on and let people watch whichever one they like
To anyone who have said previously that TFC should do a voice narration, well then congrats, ur dream come true, and now ur making everyone else feel "annoyed" which they don't like voice narration at all 🗿🗿
Anyways, great video, TFC 😎👍
TheFlightChannel, awesome content
..ruined completely by that voice over
While narration isn't my favourite thing on TFC, the owner does have a lovely voice and accent.
Some prefer narration and others prefer the text. It's a personal preference, nothing to berate anyone about. 🤦🏼♀️
If using voiceover in videos from this point on, please include subtitles. Thanks a lot!
Agreed to all points made. The only voice over I enjoy is Chloe from Disaster Breakdown.
Cleanliness is next to Godliness.
I’ve been saying that my whole life!
Something seems off with this. I have flown many times with frost on the leading edge in 152 Cessna's and 172 Cessna's and their flight characteristics were just fine. I find it difficult to believe that an aircraft with that much thrust couldn't overcome frosted wings. Icing yes, but frost?
Thanks for showing exactly how it ended before the video starts.
Or they didn't want to spend a couple of thousand dollars defrosting...
RIP. The ghost of Air Florida strikes again.
What?
Bingo! And I see that bridge several times a month. It still creeps me out.
@@Randomly_Browsing Google Air Florida 90.
@@akiko009 I know that
Nooooo I loved the reading videos, it was so good and immersive
Why are they narrating again? I just clicked off. It was perfect the way it was.
You would've thought they learned from Air Florida flight 90.
Just because we learned, doesn't mean we're improving
Wow, this channel has a lot of subs that are extremely resistant to change!! As long as you’re uploading, I’m happy. Lighten up, people.
Lets Goo Love your videos
He did not re-upload this time🗣🗣
Narration iz good...
But please, we need subtitlez with the light music... as usual...
Can you pls do subtitles instead of narration the voice is not bad I just prefer the subtitles you did a good job with narration but I just like subtitles more
Diphenhydramine a.k.a. *Benadryl* should not be affecting their judgement.
click bait bullshit
Please continue making videos without spoken narration. They help me to calm down and pay more attention at the same time.
Really?? LOL
jesus christ did the editor have add or something? the flight is 12 seconds, show the whole fucking thing without cutting every 3 seconds so we can see what's going on.
Mohammad Buddha, I agree.
Please don't be ableist. I'm sure you didn't mean it that way, but perhaps reconsider next time? Thanks.
@@kimifur GFY
@@StuartMarchetti Yeah that's about what I was expecting. 🤷♀
can you give us more info on the aircraft in the description and title?
At the FBO I work at I hope there are enough people who would have insisted that aircraft received de icing service.
4:14 Finally there's a real "alive person" shown at The Flight Channel's reenactment!!! (Or, same thing already happened before, as I can't remember much by now)
Honestly, your narrated videos are better since they’re more detailed. I know that everybody is saying the subtitles are better, and I do kind of agree with you all. But lately there’s been a decrease in quality, and it’s just good to have part of that back.
On the other hand, you still seem to butcher some pronunciations.
I love the audio versions
Good as ever, but I prefer the text only!!
Allec Ibay tried to narrate and he quit cause no one liked it. I don't like it. Your channel is good just the way it was.
Some people are resistant to change. If narration or so effective then you would see it widespread throughout youtube.
A captain in the right seat and co-pilot in the left? That's a new one! Also, love the voice over! Definitely prefer it tbh
Except for airlines, most aviation companies swap seats, so that the pilot who is flying, is always in the left seat.
Back to subtitles please.
I love your voice!!!! Much nicer then the subtitles.
Is this new or re-upload
New fortunately
Bombardier now requires in the manual for all their planes that the aircraft must be clean of all contaminants and verified so prior to flight.
Congrats on making it unwatchable
You rock, The Flight Channel! Pay no attention to the negative comments. You do you.
I drop in occasionally to see if anything has changed. It has, it's got even worse. One of the great UA-cam channels has been bastardised beyond recognition.
It's not that serious dude!
@@ILoveLucy21. Yes, I'm afraid that it is. UA-cam is being ruined by lazy clickbait content aimed at the weak-minded.
The voice over is not it. Someone comment on this when he goes back to music and subtitles so I can come back.
I wonder when Flight Channel will have an episode as to the events surrounding The Flight Channel crashing and burning so suddenly and catastrophically?🤔
I Like The Narrator It Allows Me Too Focus on The Video Itself Instead of Reading Subtitles So I Say This Was Great Flight Channel 😀😊😀❤️👍🏼
