Excellent explanation once again Rosh. I will watch all your videos on this topic. What I feared the most, was explained in this video; the fact that you can switch between scenes and turn fx on and off, within the same preset. The setup may take a little bit of time due to the fact that you can't copy scene from another preset to another as explained in episode 5. But once the setup is complete, the rest seems to be very straightforward.
Hey Rosh, well done!! I was able to make my first decent multi-scene preset using your video here! One question; After following step-by-step, I noticed I could not figure out how to return to my basic FC layout--where a "presets/scenes" scribble strip is no longer available. I used the page/scroll buttons to eventually get back to presets, but...can't figure how to add that window back into my newly-made preset. Any help appreciated! Cheers, John
You may have edited the global preset as opposed to just the per-preset function. You would need to use a button and have that be a layout button and use that to navigate between two layouts
great videos rosh, extremely helpful. if i may, i have 1 question. if i want to use say, a splawn quickrod as my main amp for multiple tones, such as crunch, rhythm, lead (with the in amp boost op) scenes , do i need to set the amp to multiple channels? or can i make the changes and save as a separate scene?
Hello Rosh. Bless you for sharing your knowledge with us Fractal owners . I was wondering about how to assign a filter block as a volume boost to one of the FM9 switches to boost any of the scenes channels. I use this method on my AX8 for all presets . Is this addressed in any videos for the FM9 ?
I don't understand what layouts are and why there are 9 of them by default, when creating a preset you still need to adjust the footswitches. Can I create new layouts for setlists and is the layout common to all presets or just a given one? I don't understand the point of factory layouts
Thanks so much for making these. You do a great job making it easy to understand this monster unit!
You're very welcome!
I’m starting see the FAS logic… thanks for the great support 👍🏽
You're very welcome
Rosh many thanks for doing these videos 🙏🙏🙏
Glad you like them!

Hi, new to your channel as recently fm9 owner. Great explanation but I must adapt to your (absolutely normal) clicking speed!!😄😁
hahah! You can always watch the videos in different playback speeds as well. Try .75
Thanks Rose. Always valuable.

Hello Rosh, great videos you have. How do I record with my fm9 and send reverb and delays separately?
You can record the "dry signal" out of output 1 and then put all the wet effects into output 2.
Always amazing tips thanks 🙏
You’re very welcome. Thanks John!

Yes, you need to set channel A to one sound, Channel B to the next sound etc.
@@RoshRoslin thanks, im use to how the helix is. Fm9 is a bit different, but i like to sound much better. Thank again 🤘
Love these
Thank you!
How long ago were you the guitar tech for BUSH?

Watch episode 21 of the AxeFX Basics tutorial for the AxeFX 3, you can do the same thing in the FM9. Should cover exactly what you're asking
I’m not sure if I missed what happens to the tuner and tap tempo as well as the change presets switching when you do this?!
You can keep them in a global switch or add them individually in a per-preset function

You can create your own layouts to fit your needs. The factory layouts are just there by default
Is there a delay or latency between scenes when building your presets this way?
Depends if there's channel switching in the amp block.
@@RoshRoslin so channel switching will cause a delay?
