Hi Rosh, great video! First of all the Library function is awesome, especially when wanting to re-use a channel setting in multiple presets and scenes. When trying to copy a channel setting to a single channel in some other preset and scene there is an even easier way: select the block, select the to-be-copied channel, click the downward arrow next to "channel" and select "Copy Current Channel to Clipboard". Then select the preset, scene and block you want to copy to, click the downward arrow next to "channel" and select "Paste Clipboard to Current Channel". Greetings from The Netherlands! Erwin
Yes, this method works as well. The method in the video is so that the sound is saved for posterity for the future if you're trying to build things from scratch
Hi Rosh! Great video. I'm new to the Fractal universe so this was extremely helpful. Do you have any factory or other recommendations for 80s Def Lep circa Pyro & Histeria? Thanks again
Great video. FM9 is on top of my list, but I am a little afraid of all this work in a live situation. I play guitar in a worship band and songs can be chosen on the fly and you have to be able to make changes fast. Is it possible to do this (and in a efficient way) on the hit it self? It is a pity that you cannot copy a scene into another preset. Is it not faster to copy those 4 scene and put them within a bank and use 4 of the board switches to switch between them?
Hey Eddy, I spent years playing in a Church on guitar using all the fractal products. (I'm drumming for said church now,) You can easily switch on the fly between multiple sounds using either scenes or control switches to turn on multiple effects.
@@RoshRoslin Thanks for all your answers. I am on the waiting list for the FM9for some months already. In case you have any additional info about shipping dates for the new Turbo version, pls send me a note. I will wait patiently for the FM9. I hope to get the opportunity to buy one at least before x-mas. Btw, which one of the EV pedals would you recommend to use with the FM9, they have 2 version.
HI. Why did you put cabs and amps on different channels if these are 4 scenes so you could put them on any channels and it would be fine too. Or am I wrong?
Videos like this is what tricked me into getting an FM9 thinking I could have gapless switching. I came from helix and I could have switched between all these in snapshot mode without any gap in sound. 🥲 buyers remorse.
I hope in a future update I can use DSP from the crazy reverb to have more amps. I helix I have a true stereo chain, have a clean amp and two heavy amps (Friedman, and PRS Archon) one on the left one on the right with their own delay, reverbs and comps with an extra delay on one side that ofsets the two my 20ms. It’s sounds huge in stereo but my helix is 7 years old so I just got an fm9 to “upgrade” it but I can’t do half the stuff with it even though it’s more powerful. Bummer
@@blazing6string I sold my helix and AX8 unit recently and purchase the FM9. Trust me Helix is a great unit but once you experiment with these sounds it's going to win you over. The great thing is you can have an a, b, c, and d channel in one amp block. From what you want you may have to go to AXEFx lll.
@@GP-mk5tj I hope so! Right now I’m so disappointed. I can’t believe that lag. Oof I think I’m going to have to try and find a way to make a clean channel using something other than an amp block and then bypass the drive amps on and off to make it work. Still so shocked I can’t even make myself go play the dang thing … fingers crossed
@@blazing6string set up two amps and go back and fourth in scenes. Apparently there is no or little to none gap when switching amps. In episode 7 he will explain the gapless switching.

This video helped me so much. Had no idea that you could do this.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for this, Rosh!
My pleasure!
Thank you! I kept screwing this up by saving the whole block. Very helpful!
You're very welcome!
Great video. Cleared up a lot for a new user.
Glad it helped!
This is so cool!!
Thanks!

You can do either approach, I find it's easier to keep scenes and channels this way.,
Can we change the presets using Computer keyboard shortcut key?
You can use the up and down arrows in FM9 edit
Genius
Thanks John!
so i can create only 4 scenes? on four chnnels?
You can have 8 scenes, four channels per block, per scene.
so these are scenes within scenes? named canals for some reason@@RoshRoslin
How do you do it without using a computer.. just using the unit itself
It would be easier to build it from scratch rather than the unit. The copy/paste function on the unit can be clunky and time sconsuming.

The FM9 can have gapless switching when using two amp blocks. View my other tutorials that walk users how to do this.
