    Hello Rosh, do you know what happen if you're alive and want to change suddenly (fast change) between the scenes and one has delays and reverbs or more fx , and the other scene has no delays and reverbs but chorus or is just clean channel, does this fm9 makes a gap of silence between the changing or what happen when you do that? because i had the ax8 and i have some songs i need to do a quick change between solo channel with high gain delays chorus reverb , and need to change to a clean dry but it does a pause on the sound and i just wanted to know if this unit its not doing it thank you

    wow, other modelers just have a „trails“ switch and its fine. why should i want my dry signal be effected by a bypassed effect block? in series it should not lower and in parallel it should not double the volume 😂 (even if that is the „correct“ way) one should not have to watch a 25min video to understand a simple thing like trails…

    I don't understand what layouts are and why there are 9 of them by default, when creating a preset you still need to adjust the footswitches. Can I create new layouts for setlists and is the layout common to all presets or just a given one? I don't understand the point of factory layouts

    Hi Rosh! Excellent video!! I hope you are well! I'm looking for a solution for the detail that, after each update, you have to reset the amplifier block so that the parameters are "renewed" and load those included in the update, but, I manage around 70 presets, it's literally going to be hell Doing it every time a new firmware comes out, creating setlists based on songs could be a solution, but in some songs I need more than 6 song sections. What could I do about it? It es really necesary realice that amp reset in the block? I've had an FM9 Turbo for about 3 months.

    What about the Power Amp simulation in the amp block? Don't you have to have this turned off to run into an amp and cab? How do you set that for running both at the same time like this?

    The great part about having the fm3 and running it into the fender tone master fr10 and fr12 is they have a thru that’s doesn’t touch the tone at all and the eq and cut on the tone master doesn’t affect that output so you can just plug the front of house into the back of the tonemaster fr 10 and 12 and your good to go they have different volumes so you can use the to change volume on stage if you need it. I just like having an amp behind me because I always have had one before I started running frfr so yea it’s a great plus when thinking which frfr speaker to get and they’re only 450 and you can spread them when your stereo more them a cab with two 12s stereo

    The correct way to set the input pad is to turn off all the effects until all you have is the input(turn off gate too) and output block on. On the output block set the output to -18db. Then you strum and play and watch that meter in the output block. If the pickups are too hot you will notice the signal compresses on the meter indicating its clipping. Set the pad until you have lots of headroom and no longer running out of headroom. For my guitar with EMGs and a Duncan SH-14 in bridge pad 12db is the best setting for those pickups.

    Hi Rosh,hope you're doing great. I'm a new FM3 user,concerning the 3Db boost for the Reverb,does this still apply with recent updates ? Also,when using external pedals like Bigsky through stereo send/return,do we get a drop in volume and should compensate like with the 3Db for the reverb?

    • @RoshRoslin
      @RoshRoslin Місяць тому

      You can still use this formula if you'd like. 50% Mix, 3db and use the input gain to determine the amount of reverb. I tend to run my reverbs in parallel for ease of use and independence between other time based effects.

  • @marctamtonthat
    @marctamtonthat 2 місяці тому

    I don't understand why the reverb is parallel to the signal as you can achieve the same result putting it in series and adjusting the mix level of the reverb block.

    • @RoshRoslin
      @RoshRoslin Місяць тому

      Because you can have reverb run independently of other time based effects. I don't want my delay trails to have reverb and vice versa. User choice, and if you like running effects in series, that's totally fine.

    It's too bad when that we assign the scene controller it can't use the same measurement as the original knob or switch. It would be easier to make the proper adjustments if we could see exactly what setting we are setting, such as dB, Hz, on/off, etc rather than just a percentage. Maybe they will update this on a future update. Great video though. Very helpful. I'm a brand new FM3 user, and didn't even know about this feature yet. Thanks!

    • @RoshRoslin
      @RoshRoslin Місяць тому

      I would say that gapless switching is now implemented with the latest updates on the FM3, you may not need scene controllers unless you desire to change the amp settings between scenes.

I am amazed by the quality of your master classes, the clarity, etc. I am an aficionado guitar player, praise & worship volunteer in Parkland, FL. My current pedal board has 11 pedals plus a Boss ES-8 controller, including the father of all reverbs the BigSky... I wonder if this thing can match it... The issue I am having is not balancing input but rather internal clipping when boosting a scene via a filter block. All my initial scenes are balanced and not clipping. However when I want a decent boost the scene clips--how do I overcome this?

    • @RoshRoslin
      @RoshRoslin Місяць тому

      Are you actually clipping? As in hearing a digital clipping sound and going about 20db above the zero mark? If so, just turn the amps down. If you're going slightly into the red, even about 5 db, you are -not- clipping

    • @TheRunForCoverBand_Perth
      @TheRunForCoverBand_Perth Місяць тому

      @@RoshRoslin No I don't hear a clipping sound. What concerned me was the fact the internal clipping light briefly comes on depending on how hard I hit the strings and then sometimes its on a lot--does this harm the unit?

    Hello, I'm a newb to Fractal and so confused.. Would the mixer and m-plex be obsolete now that gapless switching is enabled? I also don't understand why not / when to use two amps for clean and dirty versus one amp block and two channels that change amp types?

    • @RoshRoslin

    • @RoshRoslin
      @RoshRoslin Місяць тому

      You can definitely go through each section on the FC6 and also have song/up and down on the FM3. You need to have two separate layouts to do this One for the FM3, one for the FC6. It would be too detailed to explain in one simple reply message. if yo'd like to do a paid consult, please email me at roshroslin@gmail.com Thanks!

    Do I need to change anything in the settings? Using a Seymour Duncan powerstage and a 4x12 cab. We will use a frfr speaker at practice. I want to use this set up. I’m also using Fishman Fluence moderns. Do I need to change anything to compensate for the hot pickups?

    • @RoshRoslin
      @RoshRoslin Місяць тому

      The FRFR speaker will get signal from out1 and the power amp will get signal from Output 2. If you also want to go to FOH you can either use the other Left/Right output from 1 that is not going to the FRFR cab or use an output from your FRFR cab. Most FRFR cabs have an output that links to FOH

    You know, Rosh, the guitar-playing Blink 182 fandom obsesses over achieving Tom Delonge’s tone. I for one am most interested in his live tone on the 2024 tour. He’s using Axe Fx 3 now. 😉

      Absolutely. He's great. Honest;y depends on which era of Blink, but he mainly used Rectifiers during their heyday before starting angels and airwaves. Then he switched to using Vox style amps. You could probably recreate those tones in the AxeFX

    it turns out that the most obvious solution for someone who plays on stage is unattainable in a user-friendly way. I have fm 3 and fc6 and there is no way I can set songs and their titles on fm3 and on fc 6 sections of songs and their names that I gave them when creating the list. This completely surprised me - after all, it is the simplest and unattainable solution.If I'm wrong, please tell me how to do it step by step.
