Sounds great bud, just got the fm9 ain't got a clue yet how to use it LOL, have you ever used helix, if so, how do you find the difference between the fm9 and helix
I have used to Helix. Main difference really is the ease of use the Helix has over the Fractal when using the hardware. However when using software both are easy to use imo. Sound wise both are fantastic. Effects wise I would give to the Fractal. You also get a lot more choice with amp sims and cab sims in the Fractal units but you can get to your ideal tone with either that's for sure.
@@TonyEmeryGuitar Tony what Cabs or IRs do you use for the marshall tones because they sound fantastic man, like on the jtm and 800 and JVM tones you use
Just been trying to decide on the FM9 or the Quad Cortex. I'd be using it for both Studio and Live work so was really worried that the FM9 would be difficult to operate based on other reviews. After watching this, it seems really intuitive and I do like to tweak, so thank you for your great video. One question though...Mackem or Geordie? lol
Once you get to know the Fractal eco system it's a doddle. Bit of a learning curve but then there is with everything that new to you. To answer your question...I'm from the Durham area so I'm neither 😁
@@TonyEmeryGuitar Ha, thanks for the reply. Wasn’t sure with the accent, but was curious as I grew up in Sunderland. I always get people ask me that question. Getting the FM9 towards the end of the week. Fingers crossed I gel with it. How you power it at gigs? Power section of a amp or power amp? Anyway, I’ve subscribed mate. Might put some vids up of my experience at some point 👍
Stunning GIBSON Les Paul - absolutly beautiful looking!

I just run it direct mate. Straight into the desk then I'm using stage monitors or in ears.
@@TonyEmeryGuitar Pcking it up today, so I’m really excited to dig into it now. Keep rocking lad and thanks again.
Is it historic?
