An underrated masterpiece.
This was a big hit when it was released in 1995 ❤️ It charted high and was played a lot on radio. Critics were even happy 😁
Is it just me or do her vocals actually sound even better in Spanish? The Evita era brought such nuance to her voice. She’s amazing.
This was before Evita or perhaps she was already doing vocal training.
@@taintedlife2618 yes this was the lead up to the movie. She was showing off her vocal training and keeping us interested until the release. The song was released October 1995 the same time the Soundtrack was Recorded October - November 1995 so I refer to that period as the Evita era.
One of my favourite ballads of Madonna. Released in October 1995 peaked at No.6 on the Billboard hot 100! It’s was a top 10 hit worldwide. In Canada it was no.1. For 10 weeks
It's not just you. She sounds stunning here...beautiful vocals. I always thought she had a great voice and was rather dismissed as a vocalist.
Madonna took singing lessons for Evita in early 1995. You'll See and Veras were recorded in late 1995.
"You'll See" is from the Something To Remember ballad compilation album. Not only was Madonna still making amends to the powers that be for her Erotica era, but it was also a public relations move in preparation for Evita. A way to remind people that Madonna can actually sing and should be taken seriously as someone who could excel in the role of Eva Peron. It says a lot about society that she wasn't taken seriously at this time and needed to release Something To Remember. But thank goodness she did because missing out on "You'll See" along with the other new songs in the collection would have been a tragedy. Honestly, Madonna should release a follow up compilation of ballads to again remind people that she's more than a dance music artist.
Probably one of the best produced and written songs by her. Very intimate, heartfelt, and devastatingly beautiful.
Just love everything about this song ❤ Love the reaction ❤ It’s fun for a Madonna fan of over 35 years to see new people discover and appreciate her amazing work of art 🥰
Thank you, I'm not stopping any time soon! What are some of your favourites?
@@bridgethegapreactions
Madonna could definitely sing when she puts her mind to it , let’s hope she’s been training her voice for the latest tour she’s announced , after years of not singing much , hope her vocals can get back to where she was . However I understand voices and singing voices age, why Madonna after her training for her role in evita in her 40’s was a period she sound her best and most powerful. Check out this unplugged acoustic version of “don’t tell me “ on the David Letterman show to promote her “music” album . Vocally beautiful

@@bridgethegapreactions Some of them (not sure if you’ve done them all): La isla bonita, Holiday (live from Blond Ambition), Everybody (live from Girlie tour), Angel, Open your heart, Live to tell, True blue, Express yourself, Cherish, Oh father, Bad girl, Words, In this life (live from Girlie tour is amazing), The power of goodbye, Nobody’s perfect, Runaway lover, Like it or not, Jump, Devil wouldn’t recognize you, Ghosttown, Unapologetig bitch, Joan of Arc, Body shop, Crazy, I rise , Erotica (live Confessions tour). 🥰
I have a lot more, but these are some and I believe you’ve done Take a Bow and Frozen 😊
Vocals on this track are probably her best. She has so many great songs over her career, this is one of my favorites.
The Power of Goodbye is yet another epic Madonna ballad you need to react to
You were my lesson, I had to lean. I was your fortress, you had to burn.
Her singing in spanish is absolutely perfect. Once again, she did it first and better than everyone else. ❤
Madonna's vocal abilities are undeniable, it's a powerful ballad. Madonna's voice touches my soul particularly in most of her ballads, not to mention her clips which are magnificent. thank you for your reactions and for taking us on a journey through Madonna's universe, not always understood and yet she deserves her title of Queen of Pop because her talent is truly undeniable. I don't know if you know her performances on stage but they are incredible, effective and unequaled I assure you. A fan of you from France.
This is one of Madonna's masterpieces. "You'll See" is the beggining of Evita era. The Spanish versión "Verás ", was writen by Paz Martínez an Argentinean writer and composer. Greetings from Buenos Aires.
Madonna canta excelente en español 🙌
This is not one but THE most underrated Madonna ballads. Very clever and the most multi talented woman of all time.
*Something to Remember* is simply one of the best albums ever! criminally underrated...
and your reaction... just made my day, Jonny! my month even!
Thank you, you're too kind!
I'm from Argentina... Your Spanish in this song is perfect! and the lyrics are beautiful!
My sweet late father had a very tough time with his second wife suffering with schizophrenia, ending up in a mental hospital, he first heard this on the radio in the car after visiting her and just broke down and this song will always be my dads Madonna song. I’m in tears while typing.
Awww man, I'm sorry for your loss. I can definitely see how this can be such a meaningful song.
What a great choice! I love both versions, english or spanish, very underrated song😇 cheers
I absolutely love the build-up of the song: starts out like a quiet storm, and with each verse becomes more dramatic, reaching a climatic boom of vocal and production, then subsides to calmness.
Well that's David Foster for you.
By far my favorite Madonna song!
Another wonderful reaction! It’s funny when some people refer to the 80’s as being M’s “heyday” because as wonderful and as exciting as that period was, it was nothing compared to the 90’s. To me she was so prolific in the quantity and diversity of her work. She was absolutely on fire and she was ”Everywhere”. She began with “The Blonde Ambition Tour”, then the release of the “Truth or Dare” documentary, release of the “Erotic” album, the Sex book, the “Body of Evidence” film and the incredible “Girlie Show tour”. And all that in the first 3 years of the 90’s decade. Of course her detractors told us that her career was over, she crossed a line and that she was over exposed and that people were tired of her….lol. Then came the “Bedtime Stories” album and her stunning work in “Evita”. (you must see and react) . She gave birth to her daughter in ‘96 and finished up the decade with the release of the “Ray of Light” and “Something to Remember” albums!!!🔥🔥🔥 Now I know I’m probably leaving some things out and some of this may not be in the “correct” order but you get the idea. Cheers
This is my favourite Madonna ballad - Firstly it was 'Crazy for you' then 'live to tell' came along before 'Take a bow' won me over but 'You'll see' knocked all the others off the perch and remains my favourite ballad. She recorded this single with a full orchestra and "You'll See" is a continuation of part two of her previous single 'Take a bow' - Same bull rider and Madonna planned a part two of Take a bow.
The Take a bow footage seems so slapped onto this video. It’s giving b roll.
This is the MADONNA song and video I have the pleasure (along with HUNG UP & THE POWER OF GOODBYE) to hear Very Very loud.
Such a powerful song, lyrics, and Madonna voice is full of emotions ❤️❤️❤️
Brazil loves MADONNA ❤️🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
I don't think she's ever been as beautifully shot as in TPOG video, not since Open Your Heart, and certainly not since.
This is probably my favorite Madonna ballad. It runs close with Live to Tell and Love Tried to Welcome Me
Such an odd pairing to have David Foster collaborate with M, but it does work. I think this was around the end of when Madonna was trying to shake off the Erotica era controversy, by going more mainstream and less overtly sexual. She had already done Bedtime Stories and then released Something to Remember which focused on her best ballads, with a few new recordings. She’d also just finished Evita and had had a lot of vocal training, and had her first child around this era. This was also the time where she was not only feeling heat from Whitney, but now Céline and Mariah, so maybe she wanted to show people she was a better singer than most gave her credit for. At any rate, it’s an underappreciated track and she even fed us with a few Mmmm’s at the end. 😃
"you'll see" was recorded in early september of 1995
the song was released on october 30 1995 as the lead single for the ballad compilation 'something to remember'
'something to remember' was-released on november 3 1995
the soundtrack for evita was recorded over 400 hours in london between october and november of 1995
madonna gave birth to lourdes ciccone leon on october 14 1996
the evita soundtrack was released in november 12 1996
the film opened on christmas day 1996
@@heyoletsgo9 where was I want you in this Lineup. Wasn’t that before The cd was released?
Madonna has a natural affinity with and love of Hispanic/Latin culture, people, music, art and religion-and it has had a deep influence in her artistry. This ballad was the sequel to Take A Bow-continuing in its Spanish theme, same real life matador/actor, 1940-50’s look/fashion-of which Madonna used the video of Take A Bow and a handwritten letter to British director Alan Parker in 1995 lobbying for the lead role for the film musical of Evita. She got the part. The image of long piercing swords/dagger has appeared in several of Madonna’s music videos in Like A Prayer (she cut her palms with a dagger to emulate Christ’s crucifixion wounds); in these 2 ballads (traditionally, the matador ends the bullfight by plunging a sword into the heart of the bull); and more recently she appeared in that Vanity Fair video portraying the venerated image of the Madonna of Seven Sorrows with a heart pierced by 7 stiletto daggers-a “dagger in the heart” metaphor for the deep sufferings and hurt The Virgin Mary experienced.
Two other of my fav Spanish-themed masterpieces she performed was during the 2001 Drowned World Tour with her live stage versions of Lo Que Siente La Mujer (What It Feels Like For A Girl) with an all-female choreography in salsa/tango style; followed by La Isla Bonita in flamenco style that brought the house down! I really appreciate your reaction and for covering the artistry of Madonna.
As a spanish speaker, the spanish version is a masterpiece. I still remember it hold the number one position in South American like for 7 weeks in MTV
I'm truly moved by how moved you are.
Amazing song by THE Amazing artist.
But I must say again, Madonna's songwriting and production skills have always been completely underrated if not ignored. She's an absolute master.
And it's amazing to think that being a singer and songwriter were not her initial goals. Dancing is a kinetic expression of music of course, but still...just amazing.
It's always beautiful to see someone find their true calling.
I didn't know there was a Spanish version! Wow, I think I may like it even more than the gorgeous original.
This video just made my morning! What a gorgeous song and those vocals are divine! The chorus always gives me chills! As a background and probably others have mentioned, this video is a literal sequel to the Take A Bow video from the Bedtime Stories album. Thanks Johnny, great to see you enjoying this song so much!
Thank you!
Genetically, this probably has more in common with Take a Bow than Live to Tell.
HEEEEY !!!! 🙋♂️
I love this song, of course, I just love Madonna, as you know, I hope all is well with you and your family today, and thanks for your reactions on the 👑 Queens 👑 videos and songs.. chow !!! 🙋♂️
This is the ultimate breakup song to listen to to move forward.
She did a Spanish version of What It Feels Like For a Girl for Drown World or Reinvention Tour. It was amazing.
Easily my favorite vocals from her ever.
Definitely one of my favorite Madonna ballads
Every single time, a few tears tend to escape from my eyes!
G'day it's Steven from Down Under again
All hail the Queen of Pop!
Madonna’s harmonies are always on point.
Madonna's an exceptional lyricist and great melody maker. With the right producer (Pat Leonard, David Foster, Babyface, William Orbit, Stuart Price even), she's produced an exceptional body of work. Other collaborations have been less successful.
I love it when Madonna hums at the end of her Spanish version.
If you like "Veras", i would suggest listening to "Be careful with my heart" (cuidado con mi corazon) by Madonna & Ricky Martin. Another fantastic melody by the Queen of Pop🥳
Yep, I've been meaning to get to that one, thanks!
Actually there's a version without Ricky Martin's vocals too. I like that one more
I Love MADONNA'S Spanish songs..she has more then 1 you know. This was during the Evita Era I belive..so her voice was at its best due to her vocal training. Her voice in ballads just is so exquisite....great reaction!
lovely to see you have such an endearing reaction to this song. I agree, one of her best vocals - so strong, and powerful, yet vulnerable. For another great ballad by her try Pray for Spanish Eyes (from Like a Prayer album) where her vocals are more raspy, yet still beautiful, plus Spanish musical influence.
I'll be doing that album on Patreon in the next few months- can't wait!
@@bridgethegapreactions Excellent! Some beautiful tracks on that album!
This is one of her most beautiful and revealing songs. World here is the real Madonna ! Great reactions !
Madonna has many of my all time favorite ballads! Starting from the 80’s til her most recent work. 🙌🏽
"Extreme Occident" and "Looking for Mercy" are excellent ballads from the Madame X album
totally agree with you. and love the way you react to this song. You can tell you are a true music lover.
EVERY SONG on that SOMETHING TO REMEMBER ballad compilation album is as a WHOLE is SO COHESIVE yo...❤😊...FLAWLESS
LOOVVVEEE your reaction, in the Netherlands she has the record for most top 40 songs #55!!!! In spain she has #21!!!!!! number #1 songs also a record! and so on and so on! I think you will love the song " I will remember"
This immaculate peace of music is actually the part 2 of a story. Take A Bow is part 1. Love both.
best Madonna ballad EVER
This song is just perfect. The Spanish version is even more awesome..
Madonna es increíble en cualquier idioma
#Madonna should perform this in her tour. She's never performed this live. She could either do the House version or ballad your choice my Queen. Anyways I love how you react... I can see how directly you're affected by Madonna. She is an underrated gem for sure. #CelebrationTour
She actually performed You'll See instead of Gone during the Drowned World Tour show I attended! Everyone went wild coz she almost never does this song!!!
Awesome job reacting to both the English and Spanish version. Thank you.
El compositor argentino Paz Martinez fue quien se encargo de la letra de la version en castellano. Este version es increible, transmite tanto!!
How can one artist have so many classics? One word, Madonna That's why she's the most successful female recording artist. The Queen.
The Spanish version has fewer harmonies, and for that reason I like the English version best.
For me this are MADONNA'S BEST VOCALS EVER!!!!!
Her voice sounds so full, powerful, textured and melodic at the same time.
Thank you for including the Spanish version. I actually think her vocals are better on that one!
I think I agree!
she may not belt out ballads like whitney or Mariah but she sings with a passion and longing and honesty which takes you in to the song more than anyone else can..
Absolutely agree
This and Live to Tell 🔥
I absolutely love your reactions so much and you may know, this is like a pt.2, to her Take A Bow video. This video has clips of the former in it as well, Take A Bow is the love affair and this video is the aftermath.
Please react to Ghost Town. Another masterpiece that deserves to be no.1
The Evita era her voice is pristine!
love this reaction
Absolutely love your Madonna reactions, I'm going to see M in London 6 th December have never seen M before, been I life long fan, I couldn't miss this opportunity.
5th Dec is it? I'm at that one!

Dam the next night the 6th, the extra date was added on Monday this week. Keep up the reactions
I always forget how beautiful her voice is in Spanish, I’m actually quite shocked she never did a Spanish language album.
Watching you react to these vids, transports me back to their release. My reaction was the same. Nobody gets it, but you do, thank you
Thank you - I'm glad you like them, I'm not going to stop any time soon!
Absolutely amazing
Have you listened to Part 1, which is Take A Bow? This video is Part 2 of Take A Bow. This era of Madonna is one of my faves.
I've heard the song when I reacted to Bedtime Stories, but i don't think anyone told me there was any link when this was requested a while back. I'll watch that one at some point (probably not as a reaction)..
Down the halls of my formative years...
Actually its a 3 part song, take a bow, you'll see & living for love.
The multi-faceted Queen. I love this one.
great video,
Did you watch Take A Bow, which is the first part of the story?
I did not! I've heard the song through the album reaction, but I didn't realise its video was linked to this!
@@bridgethegapreactions Yes Take a Bow sets up visually the story of Madonna and the Matador. The bullfighting shots and the ones of Madonna with the much blonder hair are taken from it. Madonna was preparing for the role of Evita at this time and thus the darker hair and more restrained clothing. The Spanish sound is a trope Madonna has returned to many times. I'd recommend Pray for Spanish Eyes as being one of the best examples.
Take a bow was number 1 for 6 weeks I think back in the day in the USA.
@@catschorus4684 Agreed re Pray for Spanish Eyes... very raw raspy vocals which I loved for that song. There have been different interpretations of the song, some say it's an allegory of the AIDS epidemic at the time.
The Master of Ballads 👑
Two must listen’s “I’ll Remember” and “I Want You”, the later being a collaboration with Massive Attack!
As always, another great Madonna reaction video! ❤
If you would, please react to This Used to be My Playground. Absolutely one of her most beautiful ballads, EVER!!! And thank you again for the Madonna reaction videos.
I enjoy the Spanish language version too.

Love this song so much. 1st cd i ever bought as well. Reminds me a lot of Falling Into you by Celine Dion as well.
Ha, my first cd single purchase was Gangsta's Paradise. Yours is cooler.

Have you done a reaction to this used to be my playground or did I miss it? If not that one is a really gorgeous haunting Melody
I haven't yet. I saw the movie when it came out but i don't remember much about it. I can remember the chorus of that song but am not familiar with it at all. One to add to the list, thanks!
I love this song and take a bow (escene friends serie)
Love it! :)
Please react to "Bound To You" and "You Lost Me" by Christina Aguilera.
Thank you
It’s a shame you didn’t see the Take a Bow video first, as this is like the part 2, with the same actor who played the bullfighter.
It's great to see a straight man react to Madonna songs, it gives a different great perspective 🙂
Thanks! I'm not sure what the difference is, but glad to be of service!

Alot of us gays are biased where your honest
Her ballads, sung in her deeper register are absolutely stunning. Crazy for you, Live to Tell, This used to be my playground, This song, Take a Bow, Ghosttown, Crave etc
Really feel this is where she is strongest instead of the dancey stuff. At times she sounds like Karen Carpenter with her lower range (listen to Ghosttown)
She really pronounced every word correctly in Spanish .
Beautiful song - should have been a much bigger hit than it was in 1995 but sadly her record sales were in big decline until 98 ray of light
My question is how have you not heard this song before?
This video is such a beautiful sequel to 'Take a Bow.'
Dio mio is italian ;) But you are really sweet🥰
I was lucky enough to speak with David Foster about this song. The Spanish version is better than the English by far. David was surprised I had heard both. lol. He also said his wife wasn't too happy with the semi transparent shirt Madonna wore to his house for the recording session. lol.
That's great, Love it!
Should of reacted to Take A Bow music video first as this ‘You’ll See’ music video is part 2 to that song.
Reaction bad girl madonna
I couldn’t understand a word
You were saying in the video but ok!
Back when she really could sing. Did anyone ever tell you, you look like Bruce Willis from around the 1st Die Hard film he was in?
No, but I'll take it!
Wait, are we supposed to believe that a person YOUR AGE has never seen these videos or heard these songs? Come on!!!
Sounds crazy, but it's true! I never pretend not to have heard something. In terms of just videos, these are the ones I've already seen many times before starting this channel: Material Girl, Like A Prayer, Papa Don't Preach, Human Nature, Frozen, Ray Of Light, Beautiful Stranger, Don't Tell Me, Music, Hung Up, Give Me All Your Luvin. I also know most of The Immaculate Collection off by heart and a few other random songs here and there. Beyond that, it's all new to me! Quite an experience
Please, please, please, react to Oh Father
I did, back in December last year. If you go to my channel page and go to Playlists, you'll find a Madonna one in there
Mil veces mejor en español
Good suggestion here for you. Have you reacted to a band called, Heart yet? If not, you DEFINITELY should!! Hugely successful band with many hit songs and they’re still going strong today. You should start off with their song called, Alone. Huge hit, powerhouse vocals, just like you like! Very popular band, especially in the 70’s and 80’s. You gotta cover this band. I promise it’s worth your time. Please react to their song called, Alone. The official music video. You’re gunna love this!!
"Alone" was written by Steinberg and Kelly, who also wrote "Like a Virgin".
