Madonna co-wrote & produced Take A Bow (TAB) with Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds in 1994. While she and David Foster co-wrote & produced You’ll See in 1995. She spared no expense in filming TAB on locations in Spain in actual bullfighting rings with a real matador and bullfighters. She sent the TAB video and a handwritten letter to British director Alan Parker in 1994 lobbying for the lead role of the film musical for Evita, which explains why she chose the Spanish theme and 1940s fashion look. She got the part, and as they say, the rest is history. Great reaction.

I like Take A Bow. I LOVE You’ll See. Check out any of her masterpieces from the Ray of Light album. Frozen, Power of Goodbye, Nothing Really Matters…not to mention her MANY other great songs. My absolute favorite is from her movie, Who’s That Girl, in the 80’s. It’s called Look of Love. There’s a reason her career has been so long.

This was filmed around the same time as her movie “Evita”… she did a lot of vocal training, and it shows in this era of her ballads; much more clear vibrato, stronger tone and enunciations. Yeah I'm not so fond of this song as " Take a bow" I love that song.
I still can’t see how the Take a Bow video is about domestic violence.
He neglects her and she mostly has “intimacy” with the image of him. when they do have s*x, he abuses her and that’s when she leaves, and now she’s just an image to him in return.
