Today i've watched Evita for the 1st time and was amazed how wonderful she was in it. She also sounds very pleasant, witty and humane in this interview. Not at all the cold, narcissistic, strange image i had of her.
Evita was an amazing film. I love the original Broadway musical (Patti LuPone being my favorite Evita ontage), and Madonna did do an incredible job with Eva Peron in the film. She should have been Oscar-nominated yes, BUT, she did win the Golden Globe, and that's good enough. She did an amazing job and her performance is immortalized on film forever.
she never gets judged the same as others. looking at her in her films, only bad performance was in swept away, of which guy was responsible for, by way of a bad script/story. shell still be remembered for this performance and her music & impact on pop culture culture is unsurpassed.

There has been an insurgence of musicals in the years following Evita. I certainly think it helped to revive the genre.
Love this. Anyone who claims Madonna does not have a brilliant sense of humor about herself, her image and the world should watch this carefully.
