For anyone who has failed making this cake, this is the way I make this and it comes out perfectly :
- Put the butter ( unmelted ), milk and oil in a pan. In medium heat, cook until the butter melted.
- Put it out, pour it into a bowl, add in the flour and mix. Add in the egg yolks and mix until combined.
- Beat egg whites until stiff peak ( just until it become like lightly whipped cream )
- Put half of the egg whites into the bowl and beat it by a whisk
- Put the left egg white in and fold it
- Bake it

I just made it like 5 minutes ago it. It's soft, fluffy and yummy! It didn't rise much though. The recipe didn't call for baking powder so I didn't add.

Mine didn't rise, but despite that is was the best cake I've ever tasted, all my family agreed on that too. I will definitely make it again
Fifi Kilani If it didn't rise enough, it doesn't have enough air bubbles. Make sure to beat you egg whites properly and fold in with care as to not lose the beaten in air.

How kind of you to respond. Sorry for the confusion. When I bake I use a U.S. cup to measures my recipes. I don't have a scale. What I need to do is convert grams into U.S.cups. (Example: how many grams is 1 cup of flour etc? The same question for eggs, milk, oil? I realize eggs are different sizes here in the U.S. The information on Internet is not consistent. Do you have any suggestions, or websites that can help me? Thanks 😄😄

Hey thanks for the yummy recipe, but how comes mine was very very little and yours looks big? I followed all the steps and ingredients too.
I made 2 of these, turned out really nice but the only thing that went wrong was when I took it out of oven, after few mnts, the top of the cake de flated a little 😟. Please tell me why it did that, what did I Do wrong ???? It came out perfect but de flated a little after few mnts !. Please let me know . Thanks

Hi, I really like your recipes and hints! but i have a maybe kinda dumb question: I saw your oven has heating rods on the bottom, when you set the temperature for baking, do you turn on the bottom rods as well??? cos I did with my oven for the strawberry shortcake recipe, and the bottom of the cake got burnt...

hi! i noticed that in almost all ur recipe u only use cake flour, is there really no need for baking powder or baking soda?
