Ingredients :
250g butter (牛油)
125g margarine (马之林)
100g caster sugar (细砂糖)
8 egg yolks (蛋黄)
8 egg whites (蛋白)
170g caster sugar (细砂糖)
350g plain flour (普通面粉)
1 tsp baking powder (发粉)
1/4 tsp salt (盐)
125ml milk (牛奶水)
2 tbsp cocoa powder (可可粉)
1 tsp instant coffee powder (即溶咖啡粉)
3 tbsp boiling water (热水)
1/2 tsp coffee essence (咖啡香精)

Best cup cake ever with your recipe!! I ran out of baking powder so I used self-raising flour instead. Was worried that it might be too sweet but it turned out perfect!! TQ so much!!

I already try this recipe..it's turn good..i suggest not to reduce the sugar quantity bcs the recipe is not sweet..the sweetness is already nice😋

Tried this cake today and thought it was going to fail because the mixture looks curdled! Turn out great except the taste of eggs is quite strong
Add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to mask the eggs.

Hi Kathrine, May I ask why you use margarine with butter? Can we use butter only? Also, I noticed that with eggs separated method, for the last part, you would pour the batter into the egg whites, what is the reason for doing this? Can we continue to put the egg whites to the batter instead?

我还没有到时间就裂了,我放中层火烤,而且拿出来里面看到好像湿湿酱

嗯嗯,下次有锡纸看看,我的烤箱不热到,通常加时20分钟,我刚才30分钟180,35分钟170

You can use all butter, just that margarine has emulsifier so the cake will be softer.
