I usually don't comment on such videos but here's my experience. It popped out in my UA-cam suggestions and I watched it with my wife . We were cursing UA-cam throughout to do this to us. But in evening we shed our laziness and actually started making it. After all the batter was made, we got to know that our electric oven got faulty. Bummer. But we didn't give up and put the darn thing in our crappy gas oven. Man, even though that oven sucks, the cake turned out amazing. Almost similar to what we were expecting. We made it in a cast iron pan and it was amazing. Thank you so much for making our day. Bless you.
As an amateur baker, this was the first sponge cake recipe that turned out successfully for me! Thank you so much! I also really liked that it didn't need that many eggs. Some recipes call for 6-7 eggs, which is a large amount to consume. ❤
Out of all genoise cake recipes, this is the one for me. I baked it twice yesterday to make strawberry fresh cream cake. The first time, I did it carefully, then I realised I wanted the cake to be taller so I made a second batch in a hurry. Even when I do it rushingly, the cake turns out well. The cake is very light and smooth and didn't curdle (which is a problem I always faced when baking genoise). THE BEST!!!!
@@dark_angle_666around 5-15 mins. U ll understand your meringue is ready when is fully white and stiff. Dont lose hope as the first 3 minutes u might think that it is not working, it becomes whiter as the time goes by

Poured the batter in the cooker and just put it on the standard cooking (for my rice cooker it was the white long grained rice option) and cooked it for around 40min (or just whenever it doesnt have any raw batter). Then let it cool, helped it separate from the cooker with a wooden butter knife and flipped the inner bowl in the rice cooker over a plate Probably won't come out as good as it would in the oven, but it was still nice and fluffy for me. Edit: I have the Kumo YumCarb rice cooker, if it's important for anyone to know
third try, it worked out perfectly!! it’s so good ! i say third try, because first and second try, i made some mistakes that i’ll share so it may help people who are making this for the first time: first fail reason SPEED: don’t be slow when making this! the fluffy egg white mixture will deflate and the egg foam is very important, it will just be flat and turn out more as a cookie than a fluffy cake if you let it deflate second fail; cake PAN SIZE/TRIPLE OR DOUBLE RECIPE: if you want to make a thicker cake with a smaller diameter like in the video and not one that’s more flat and longer diameter, pay attention to your pan size! i made the mistake of not paying attention and being careless about the pan size, and i wanted to make a layered cake (like in the video, they could slice the cake into 3 layers, i wanted to do that and add like cream etc in between) but my cake pan was more big (like side to side wise) and short (top to bottom wise) which resulted in a bigger, flatter cake, and i couldn’t cut it into layers, though it still tasted good. if you do not have a smaller (in diameter) and taller cake pan and want to make it layered like i did, consider doubling or tripling the recipe :>

This is seriously the best vanilla sponge recipe ever! If you live in the UK and can’t get ‘cake flour’ use plain flour and remove 2 tablespoon from the 90g and replace with 2 tablespoons of cornflour
Divya because cake flour has lesser protein than all purpose or regular flour. If you wanted to convert all purpose to cake flour you dilute it with cornstarch
We tried this recipe yesterday and it was by far the best sponge I have ever baked and tasted! I doubled all the ingredients in the recipe to fit my form pan and kept the baking time the same ... it was perfect! This will be my go-to recipe for all my sponges going forward. This recipe is AMAZING. I just made it, and it smell so good. I made it as a late birthday cake for my sister, and everyone LOVED it. My whole family said that it tasted just like a pound cake from the bakery. The texture is so smooth and amazing, and it is really easy to make, even for a 12yo like me. Anyways, i use whatever oil there is at my home, like sunflower or canola, we don't really have vegetable oil at our house. Just any oil that does not have a taste or smell to it will work just fine.

Few days ago, I successfully baked my first cake at the first try using this receipe. To stay on the safe side, I added 1tsp baking powder with the all purpose flour. The cake turned out delicious and looked just like the video. Today I have baked another cake using the same receipe but switched 20 ml milk with strawberry syrup in it. I forgot to add baking powder still it came out perfectly moist and delicious. Thank you so much for your video!

The Recipe: Cooking See Sponge Cake Round pan Size (6 x 3) Ingredients 3 egg yolks Pinch of Salt 1g 3 egg whites Sugar 90g (½ cup) Cake flour 90g (¾ cup) Vegetable oil 30g (2 Tbs) Milk 30g (2 Tbs) (warm) Vanilla Extract 2ml (½ tsp) Directions Separate yolks (small bowl) and whites (medium glass bowl) of three eggs Add salt and vanilla to egg yolks. Beat mixture by hand and set aside. With an electric mixer, beat egg whites for 1 minute, add ⅓ (30g) of the sugar, and beat, continue with remaining sugar until meringue stiff peak stage. Add egg yolk mixture and slowly combine thoroughly. Sift flour into mixture. Gently fold in from bottom to top. Continue to mix until flour if fully incorporated. In small bowl combine oil and milk. Add a small portion of the batter to this mixture and fully incorporate. Mixture should be pourable. Add the oil-milk mixture to the batter and fold in. Mix until fully incorporated. Pour into prepared cake pan. (Place parchment on bottom and sides of pan). Use skewer stick to scroll around cake moving from inside to outside. Tap pan on counter to release gas bubbles. Bake for 20-30 minutes (?) at 335℉ to 350℉. Tap pan on counter to release cake from pan.

Just made it, success! My pan was larger, but it worked. I’m either going to order the 6x3 pan or I triple the recipe. It was not too sweet, I added fresh strawberries and the strawberry syrup that I made. Excellent....and I’m not even a baker or cook. Soft like a pillow and light and fluffy as a feather. SarcasTicOutcasT No change in temperature or time. I usually minus 5 minutes to make sure it isn’t overbaked. I have bought 3 6x3 pans, baked an additional 3 more times and noticed that I had to add 10 minutes.
*CUP MEASUREMENTS* (I tried this myself and it came out pretty well) 3 eggs Pinch of salt 1/2 cup of granulated sugar 3/4 cup of cake flour (10 tbsp is a bit more accurate) (I actually used all-purpose flour and it came out great!) 2 tbsp of milk (any type of milk should work!) 2 tbsp of vegetable oil 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract Edit: Sorry if I can’t answer all of the comments! I tried making this cake today and it came out absolutely delicious and spongy ! By far the best vanilla cake recipe on the internet. While the taste and texture was perfect, my only concern is that the browning did not occur at all , it was completely baked and had risen but came out the same colour as the batter . Apart from that it was perfect :)

@@Handlesworld Crack three eggs and seperate the whites and the yolks in different bowls . Whip the whites until they become soft and fluffy like in the video , and in between whipping them add 90 gm sugar in 3 portions. Add 1 tsp vanilla extract and 1 gm salt to egg yolks and whip them, after that add the yolks to the fluffy egg white and sugar mixture and whip them until combined well. Sieve 90 gm cake flour or all purpose flour in the mixture and mix from top to bottom. No need to add baking powder , the cake will rise on its own thanks to eggs we whipped thoroughly. In a separate bowl take 30 ml oil and 30 ml milk at room temperature. Add a little bit of our batter in the oil and milk mixture and mix , after that add it to our batter. It completely ready now . Grease the cake tin thoroughly with oil and all purpose flour if you don't have butter paper . Pour the batter in and bake it for about 40 minutes at 180 degrees ( That's what I did ) The cake is ready :)

@@yshadia yes, I covered the sponge cake with stretch film and I put it in the fridge over night. It was a suggested step from other videos to do the birthday cake. I also moisturized it with some milk. Hope it was helpful :)
I just tried it, the results are soft and when pressed it goes straight back without difficulty, I tried the steaming technique and the results were also very good, the real sponge cake😍

This recipe is AMAZING. I just made it, and it smell so good. I made it as a late birthday cake for my sister, and everyone LOVED it. My whole family said that it tasted just like a pound cake from the bakery. The texture is so smooth and amazing, and it is really easy to make, even for a 12yo like me. I have been baking for 2 years, and this is the BEST sponge cake/vanilla cake I have ever made. Thank you for this recipe, and keep making more like this.

Anyways, i use whatever oil there is at my home, like sunflower or canola, we don't really have vegetable oil at our house. Just any oil that does not have a taste or smell to it will work just fine.

I was a person who tried hundreds f cakes recipes and this is the only one thing I couldn't do well ever,
My family and relatives called me a great chef and I love my cooking skills too but when we talk about baking cake..... I always always always failed some how although I gave my best time and money to it..... I tried this recipe and I m so proud to say this turned up so so well..... Means it is well baked inside out and delicious taste soft and my partner loves that too.... I always look for recipe which got three eggs coz when I use other people recipe they use 5 eggs or 6 eggs which is waste of food coz my cake always failed....I must say thank u so very much to share this easy and great recipes.... I did exactly the same and my cake becomes so soft and fluffy..... Just follow every step and this is so true that egg whites needs a proper beat as described in this video n believe me ur cake turn out so well like mine.... Imagine I tried cakes from 3 years and all the time I got fail and today I tried this one and it's perfect from all angles, I m so over whelmed... Thank u

Few days ago, I successfully baked my first cake at the first try using this receipe. To stay on the safe side, I added 1tsp baking powder with the all purpose flour. The cake turned out delicious and looked just like the video. Today I have baked another cake using the same receipe but switched 20 ml milk with strawberry syrup in it. I forgot to add baking powder still it came out perfectly moist and delicious. Thank you so much for your video!

The Recipe:
Cooking See Sponge Cake
Round pan Size (6 x 3)
Ingredients
3 egg yolks
Pinch of Salt 1g
3 egg whites
Sugar 90g (½ cup)
Cake flour 90g (¾ cup)
Vegetable oil 30g (2 Tbs)
Milk 30g (2 Tbs) (warm)
Vanilla Extract 2ml (½ tsp)
Directions
Separate yolks (small bowl) and whites (medium glass bowl) of three eggs
Add salt and vanilla to egg yolks. Beat mixture by hand and set aside.
With an electric mixer, beat egg whites for 1 minute, add ⅓ (30g) of the sugar, and beat, continue with remaining sugar until meringue stiff peak stage.
Add egg yolk mixture and slowly combine thoroughly.
Sift flour into mixture. Gently fold in from bottom to top. Continue to mix until flour if fully incorporated.
In small bowl combine oil and milk. Add a small portion of the batter to this mixture and fully incorporate. Mixture should be pourable.
Add the oil-milk mixture to the batter and fold in. Mix until fully incorporated.
Pour into prepared cake pan. (Place parchment on bottom and sides of pan).
Use skewer stick to scroll around cake moving from inside to outside.
Tap pan on counter to release gas bubbles.
Bake for 20-30 minutes (?) at 335℉ to 350℉.
Tap pan on counter to release cake from pan.

Just made it, success! My pan was larger, but it worked. I’m either going to order the 6x3 pan or I triple the recipe. It was not too sweet, I added fresh strawberries and the strawberry syrup that I made. Excellent....and I’m not even a baker or cook. Soft like a pillow and light and fluffy as a feather. Perfect base for any special cake. Thank you.

Did you have to adjust the cooking time and temperatures for a larger pan?
SarcasTicOutcasT No change in temperature or time. I usually minus 5 minutes to make sure it isn’t overbaked. I have bought 3 6x3 pans, baked an additional 3 more times and noticed that I had to add 10 minutes.
*CUP MEASUREMENTS*
(I tried this myself and it came out pretty well)
3 eggs
Pinch of salt
1/2 cup of granulated sugar
3/4 cup of cake flour (10 tbsp is a bit more accurate) (I actually used all-purpose flour and it came out great!)
2 tbsp of milk (any type of milk should work!)
2 tbsp of vegetable oil
1/2 tsp of vanilla extract

I tried making this cake today and it came out absolutely delicious and spongy ! By far the best vanilla cake recipe on the internet. While the taste and texture was perfect, my only concern is that the browning did not occur at all , it was completely baked and had risen but came out the same colour as the batter . Apart from that it was perfect :)

Crack three eggs and seperate the whites and the yolks in different bowls .
Whip the whites until they become soft and fluffy like in the video , and in between whipping them add 90 gm sugar in 3 portions.
Add 1 tsp vanilla extract and 1 gm salt to egg yolks and whip them, after that add the yolks to the fluffy egg white and sugar mixture and whip them until combined well.
Sieve 90 gm cake flour or all purpose flour in the mixture and mix from top to bottom. No need to add baking powder , the cake will rise on its own thanks to eggs we whipped thoroughly.
In a separate bowl take 30 ml oil and 30 ml milk at room temperature. Add a little bit of our batter in the oil and milk mixture and mix , after that add it to our batter. It completely ready now .
Grease the cake tin thoroughly with oil and all purpose flour if you don't have butter paper . Pour the batter in and bake it for about 40 minutes at 180 degrees ( That's what I did )
The cake is ready :)

If you don't get stiff shiny peaks, this cake will not work. **Tip #1: to help ensure the egg whites get fluffy add 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar OR 1/2 tsp lemon juice or vinegar *#2 - Also, make sure the whites are room temp & add sugar ***_gradually_** #3 The bowl must be completely grease-free, rub inside with a piece of lemon OR vinegar, then wipe it out*

I tried this and it turned out even better hehe
Also I recommend adding more than usual amount of vanilla essence if you like as the smell of eggs is very overwhelimign

@@dilhanirajapaksha2071 sugar is just 90g but should be added gradually as in about third each time. so it's 30g mix then 30g mix then the last 30g.

No matter how many recipes I followed and tried making cake at home, I used to wonder why can't I make a cake like in the bakery, where am I lacking? I am into baking these days found this video and bought an electric beater then I tried this, this turned out so fluffy exactly like the bakery. I feel I have achieved something 😅 really great. Thank you so much for this recipe. It was a really good recipe it turned out really good. Actually, this was my first cake which turned out good. I did not use cake flour I used simple flour. I guess because I did not use cake flour that is why my cake did not turn out fluffy but it was delicious and good. Please try this recipe it's really good. Thank you so much for this recipe :)

Followed exact instructions, the cake turned out exactly like the video showed, Amazing recipe and takes like only about 1 hour and 30 minutes to make

Did youkeep the bather in the fridge overnight?
@@yshadia yes, I covered the sponge cake with stretch film and I put it in the fridge over night. It was a suggested step from other videos to do the birthday cake. I also moisturized it with some milk. Hope it was helpful :)
