Devo performing That's Good, live at The Observatory in Los Angeles, exclusively on Moshcam.
David Bowie dubbed them "the band of the future", Brian Eno produced their debut and everyone from Nirvana to Soundgarden and Rage Against The Machine have covered them.
A contagious collision of New Wave punk, arty experimentalism and subversive politics, these music mavericks burst onto the world scene in the late '70s and turned pop music on its head forever with hits like 'Whip It', 'Girl U Want', 'Mongoloid' and 'Beautiful World'.
So when the chance to film these icons in action at The Observatory at Santa Ana, California came up earlier this year, we jumped at it. Needless to say, they didn't disappoint, delivering a spectacle jammed with hits old and new, gloriously oddball antics and their mental mascot, Booji Boy.
"The Mayan calendar was wrong," frontman Jerry Casale told the crowd on the night. "The world is not going to end this year so you're stuck with us for a long time."
We wouldn't have it any other way, Jerry.

I agree. The live version of this song has 10 times the energy as the studio version. I love these guys.
Best concert I ever saw was Devo the The Oasis on San Jose, CA on Easter Sunday 1990. They were amazing.
@@juliepurpleskater1736 That's Good should have been a top 10 hit. That said, you are right that the live performance is better than the album version. The album version is too reliant on synthesizer. The guitar gives the song an extra kick and makes it feel less like an early 1980s relic.
