This is very much true. I see people like this every day at my workplace, where I am actually working (apartment maintenance) and they are doing these very things in their apartments . I see this one guy sliding around in his house shoes at noon after he just woke up. He even just recently got an "emotional support dog" too. He is young and more than able to work, he has just chosen to not to.
There are those who pray for our country, and there are those who prey on our country. This is an example of the latter..
Sorry for the bit of a rant John, but you hit on this subject hard. Keep up the funny videos. I like that I can watch your videos with my children in the room...I know they won't hear anything they don't need to hear.

Unfortunately, this video satire is very true in today’s society. There are way too many people in the wagon, and not enough people pulling the wagon. Not wanting to work is an epidemic in this country right now.
It pisses me off too bc they bitch its not enough money. They should NOT get the same quality of life as someone who works. They don't need Netflix, Spotify, a smart phone, cable TV, a new car. This country is messed up when it comes to handouts and how easy it is to contribute absolutely nothing.

I got unemployment for six months last year. The state that I live in made it so that you didn't have to report. If you were looking for a job if you didn't want to. But you got your unemployment money biweekly like a regular job.

We’ve had people that fill out an application, get told that they can show up and start training the next day, then they NEVER show up.
Edit, I work in a grocery store. We’re desperate for employees and will hire just about anyone that walks through the door.

And if they do they’d better raise all the wages of the current employees who have been there the longest. This is the worst paying store in our town. Don’t work for Albertsons guys, it’s a nightmare. Now they are cutting our hours so I have barely enough time to get all my work done for the day. I really hate retail.

i'm hoping so hard that people don't think everyone on unemployment are like that! it's a crucial temporary program from one job to another. also, you have to have paid a decent amount in taxes each year to be able to use it

speaking from experience; lost my job due to my disability and the disability actually locks me out of unemployment. i was not able to get it, and i work very hard for good wages.

Unemployment is literally one of the reasons I now have $40,000 in my savings. I was paid $1,000 a week for several weeks last year while I was unemployed. My bills are less than $2000/month. You do the math.
We can't do the math if you don't provide a constant for the weeks. Until you do that it's just a variable.

Unemployment benefits are taxable income.
You don’t collect unemployment if you quit your job or get fired with cause. They did away with all of the additional unemployment benefits last month as well. So how is it that everyone is still “surviving on unemployment”? In most states unemployment is about $1200-$1500 a month and you can only collect that for a limited amount of time. You can’t live off of that alone.
I was on unemployment for six months last year. I honestly made more than I had made in a year at my job. I got tired of being at home.
I was unemployed as well, and while I didn't make more during that 6 months than I would've made in a year, it was a SIGNIFICANT weekly raise for me. Even knowing I'd spent years paying into unemployment and never collecting, I still felt guilty for what felt like just taking money and not paying into the system. Plus I was really bored for most of the time I would've been at work. I'm not good at filling up my free time.

@@ab2144 Yeah, I really think there are a mix of unemployed people in the same way all kinds of people are different from each other. People who think every unemployed person is busting their ass trying to get back on their feet are wrong... But at the same time, people who think every unemployed person is chilling on their couch, feeling totally relaxed about their lack of income expecting a free ride are also wrong. It's a complicated issue and I think it's kinda shitty to paint everybody going through a hard time with the same broad brush when people say all unemployed people are lazy or whatever. I'm glad you were able to get more financially stable :)

One morning I woke up right before my radio turns on to wake me up and thought "I don't want to go to work".
