- Jaclyn and I spent the week watching this group of guys work their way through Aviator PPG's training program. It was absolutely amazing to see their joy after their first flights. Everyone did exceptionally well. If you have not seen part one of this adventure, check out my last video. Check the link below if you're interested in learning to fly with Aviator PPG.

Feeling inspired to fly?! Aviator PPG is where I learned to fly over 5 years ago. Not only will you gain the foundation of skill and knowledge required to excel in this incredible sport, you will join the family of Aviators! Sign up for training with the link below. Don't forget to mention my name on the drop down for a free t-shirt from www.tuckergott.com upon securing your spot! - aviatorppg.com/training-sign-up
I had started hang gliding years ago when it first started and gear was less than what it is today. Paragliding looks like where it is at. Tucker, any suggestion on training outfits in the Los Angeles area? LOVE the videos!!
Tucker Gott I want to get into this so badly now ! I live in Rhode Island and have a bunch of turf fields near my house ! Probably could get permission to use them !
And from the turf fields go buzz the bay!!
My first flight I had a smile on my face for about 7hrs. that day... it was like my face was swelled up in the shape of a smile lol... will never forget that moment...
The reassuring voice of the instructor is so good. ✔️
Seriously. It is almost Bob Ross like at some points.
TheRealLordKittens lol, that was my thought as well. With that calm voice I bet the instructor could talk my mom into the air, and she panics if she's standing on a chair ;)
I totaly agree. The guy makes you feel ok from start to finish.
These guys are by far the best I've seen. They are the only instructors who don't make the program about themselves.
That guy is a 100% perfect instructor. Calm, cool, collected and always positive/encouraging. Most conducive environment possible for a student. Those that have learned from him are very lucky
I think I've got the paramotor bug. Watching these videos has really inspired me. I absolutely have to do this.
Same here.
Same, one day.
Attentive Dragon same for me. Unfortunately a paramotor is pretty expensive tho. Anywhere between 6k and 10k
In Canada you can get one used for like 4K CAD, that's like 3K USD. But there are a billion mandatory permits and insurance you have to get before you can take off in Canada.
I’m scheduling a tandem flight at a place that does them near me. The idea of skydiving is horrifying and gives me so much anxiety just thinking about it. This is so different it seems so safe and way less scary. I think I find it appealing because the parachute is already open when you take off and in skydiving there is a chance it won’t open.
Really cool - I love watching the learning process of any sort of flying!
Love your videos man! Have you considered learning to fly paramotors?
I'm with Tucker on this one ;)
Do you guys follow FliteTest too? They were literally just at that flight school learning to paramotor. I suggest checking out Bruno Vassel as well for some cool soaring videos.
Wow General Aviation meets the Paramotor world, to see Tucker Gott, FlightChops, Aviator PPG, all congregating together! This really shows how interconnected the flying community can be!
Hey flight chops, good to see you here! Love your videos. I'm a trainee pilot from the UK but I fly from Stoney Creek EAA65 down the road from you!
Glad you could be here with us for a class again!
The stoke in everyone's eyes makes the long hours and heat all worth it.
Can't wait to fly with you more soon brother :)
Yeah buddy! Always a good time.
Wth u bros uhhh
The lead instructor does a good job of keeping his voice even. Reminds me of the Blue Angels lead.
Absolutely wonderful to see what to expect when you first learn to fly. Jaclyn was right, the expressions and emotions are so wonderful to witness. I suspect that never goes away no matter how many times you fly. I could relate to everything they shared and I've never flown!
Thanks for your videos Tucker, my wife and I will start taking paragliding lessons next month as the first step to getting into PPG. Thanks for the inspiration.
Awesome man! This video should be particularly inspirational. :D
Totally inspirational, making my wife watch it now. Keep flying and keep posting. Hope to run into you one day at a fly in and thank you personally for inspiring me to get off my ass and do the thing I have dreamed about for years.
Sean Allocca .... 2 years later... how did it go?
@@richardwade511 it went well. So well in fact they created there own channel
I took my training with Aviator PPG in December 2016 - right before their training wait list exploded!
They've got a great curriculum and you can tell from the video how instructors Eric, Travis, Jon and Kyle are passionate about helping you reach your goals.
Highly recommend having the means to buy your own equipment - don't just take a few lessons and go home. Buy whatever Aviator PPG suggests for your flying abilities. You're going to hate yourself for taking lessons and not being able to go out on a calm day with your own equipment! Set aside about $15,000 for all your training and gear and then go experience the freedom of flight! Great job Tucker putting this video together. I think it's going to be really popular and helpful for those trying to learn more.
Garrett Woolley Are they located all over the country or just in NJ?
Starting PPG training this week! Mucho thanks to Tucker for helping inspire, motivate and for sharing his understanding of this amazing way of flying!
Most inspirational video I've watched on paramotors, primarily due to Tucker and his young lady Jaclyn. I'm an old git but this has given me the push to get super fit and consider actually trying it out for myself. Thanks guys!!
You have inspired me. Your videos are amazing. I am 49 years old. I have wanted to fly since i was 5. I want you to know that because of you I have my first lesson on the 24th of this month. Keep up the good work. Keep posting those awesome videos. I hope to meet you someday. Because of you (and my wonderfully understanding wife) my dreams are going to come true!
I just wanted to say I really enjoyed this particular video. It shows some flyers taking their first flights. I loved the interaction of the new students with the Aviator Paramotor instructors...encouraging the guys on. Good stuff!
Tucker, you should become an AviatorPPG alliance partner and start teaching in NJ. You would do great!!
omg If they started teaching in NJ that would be amazing. I don't think i could warrant going all the way to florida to learn, but I'm in SouthEast PA so I'm right next to jersey. I would definitely do that. Give up that parachute packing job for a job with them teaching!
Has anyone here had any experience with Pennsylvania Paragliding? Seems like that school is fairly close to you, Tucker and Ryan. Maybe a video review of them? I am in NY myself and just checking into other options since AviatorPPG has a fairly long wait list.
I haven't had personal experience with them, but a friend has and I can't say he's been happy with his experience there.
Oh damn, that's a shame but good to know. Thanks! It's good seeing reviews and hearing feedback from others, for us newcomers to the sport. Keep flying, posting videos, and stay safe.
I'd definitely love to have you as my instructor! You're so chill and knowledgeable. Hell, you might even be able to convince my fiancee to be ok with me paramotoring!
Great viewing. Wonderful to see. Soon, very soon I will join these ranks. Currently doing my Paraglider Accreditation. Awesome to watch others getting their Paramotor wings. Thanks Tucker and Jacquelyn for filming and sharing the achievements.
Surprisingly so happy for these guys and even proud for them. Great stuff.
Still lobbying the ball and chain for my own chance.
What a beautiful thing to watch. Thanks for sharing.
Congratulations to all who flew. I don't know them, but I'm certainly proud of them.
I like how the trainer keeps telling them to take a deep breathe. What great advice while doing something frighteningly beautiful. If I ever decide to do this, this is the school I'd want to attend.
I was just checking out this school yesterday. Definitely going to learn from these guys.
Watching the TestFlight guys learn and now this crew, it's great to see how wonderful the paramotor community is. It's so rad that you and Jaclyn hung out with the class and were getting so stoked watching them. Flying a paramotor has been added to my life goals list as is training with the Aviator PPG team :).
Love the fact that they are so happy and relieved after landing!
Will be starting my PG lessons within a few months if my money situation is okay. Been desperate to get flying again since my first tandem skydive 2 years ago, and I have a PG school locally. Thanks to your videos, i will eventually look at getting into PPG, despite never initially being interested in going down that route.
Keep up the good videos, they seem to be getting better and better!
I enjoy your videos, Tucker. This is definitely on my bucket list, now.
Very professional! What a calm voice you have there, very relaxing. For all you people who are undecided, just do it, its amazing!
Superb video ! Tucker , I cant thank you enough !
Awesome video Tucker! I'm a 6k+ hour fixed wing instructor and you did a great job of capturing the student's reaction to their first flight. There is really nothing like it. For myself, student solo day was like Pay-Day. I am thoroughly enjoying your channel and your sense of humor, GREAT ENTERTAINMENT! You have me thinking about going back and becoming a student again. Thanks for the videos and Happy Motoring. LOL
Thanks for putting this together Tucker. Very cool meeting you and Jaclyn! Thanks for all the encouragement also!!
Already addicted and I haven't even done it yet. Holy hell that look fun!
Thanks Tucker for your vids. I've talked to an instructor in my area and hopefully very soon will be up in the air making my own adventures. Your a really great inspiration to this sport. Keep up the great vids brother.
Who else wants to learn to fly after this lockdown?? :D
X91 i do. I didn’t know I was old enough, but turns out in the US there is no age restriction. I was assuming you had to be like 21. Turns out there are pilots as young as 9.
I'm still broke as hell
@@Cedalion yeah and its a couple thousand which is cheap for air craft training
I'm really thinking about it, but wondering how often/easy (without sounding like a bitch) can this go wrong? I'm thinking 50/50 lol
I keep imagining one bird might fly into that chute, then bam! falling like a rock
Wow, that is so awesome watching those guys learning to fly!
This is a really good school. I can tell by how well the training takes place. Tucker thanks for the nice video.
Love seeing new pilot's first flights! Great Video.
My dad and im going at the end of the to the USA to learn ppg because of you. Thanks for making your cool videos and for inspiration!
Grating from Germany!
Great video - congrats to all the new pilots!!!
Hi from Australia, Awesome video, I can't wait to start this up late next year I'm hoping, looks like so much fun.
I've never flown anything yet, but your videos have me hooked! Come October (summer here) I've got a 1 day intro day with paragliding. If it's me, I'm then taking the 10 day course to get a licence for a paramotor. I should really video log it, start to finish!
Nice video and what a great friendly pro team of instructors love it
Love the unique style of videos man keep it up
Sweet first flight smiles! I love the gradual progression training at Aviator.
Really Cool! Congrats to the aviators!
Omg awesome ,(like all ur vids) can't wait till I'm old enough to take the course!!! Thx for showing me what it's like to learn to fly paragliders
Awesome can't wait to go
So many good memories. That turtle was hilarious!
That goose was totally honking "good job! Good job!" During it's flyby
Great vids!!!! THANKS for sharing those guys' happiness - all of them did good! No shirt tails cut off, huh??!!! LOL! When you start teaching on staff, I suggest that you keep your schedule loose enough so you (& Jacyln) are still be able to travel, shoot videos where you fly, demo techniques, review wings, paramotors, and other equipment, plus have guests (flying with you & featuring their techniques) and get sponsorships that allow your videos to still help build the sport and show folks how much fun life can be!!! Now please get those t-shirts and other merchandise ready for sale (if you don't have time, maybe Jaclyn can help! Even if you just do a t-shirt with "lines of wind" going over a wing (similar to, but not an exact copy, of the one you got with your new Sport, you'd probably sell a hundred right off! All sizes now, from S all the way up to 3XL! There's trip & gas money waiting on you there!!!!!! Good luck & thanks again!
Glad I was recommended a video of Tucker's - I've since watched over 2 hours of his videos. I am literally obsessed! I want to do this in Ireland so bad! Like legit train and obtain a licence. However, there doesn't seem to be anywhere in Ireland.
One of my absolute favorite videos. Contending for Icarus race day 4.
Tucker- thanks for putting this together. It was great meeting you and Jaclyn. You were one of the reasons why I wanted to do this. It's cool watching you fly and even better to do it myself. Thanks for all the advice. Hope to see you in the sky. Aviator PPG rocks!
Hiiiii Dave!
That was super cool on so many levels. One of those being... seeing myself do it some day.
That is so amazing !!
@ 9:21 this guys first landing...Right On you made me proud all the way up in Canada! I've never done this YET and you made it look awesome! The others there after made me feel like YES I will do this! Man I want to be around this group!
Dude i just want to start class today. Last week i knew i had to try this and today it's all i can think about. Amazing job to everyone! I hope i can only hope to do that well my first flight.
Cant wait till i can get up there in the sky. Cant go to aviator since its so far away from me, but still super excited to learn.
You're a great ambassador for the sport Tucker ;)
Thanks for sharing!
i love these longer vids
You just showed me one of my problems ground handling and gliding down to the other field! Too much brake pressure launching! I'll put this lesson to the test today at the field!
The spirit of freedom, awesome.
Wow, very nice. I am a PG instructor and am impressed with the professionalism of these guys. Also the briefing room with the screen and comfy chairs, their clothing with the callsigns, very neat. When i get some spare time again i FO SHO will learn PPG as well. Seems lovely just to be cruising around. The notion of "storing your brake" really hurts my brain in ways you cant imagine, but i guess there will be some differences to overcome :)
The instructors voice sounds like the same guy who was teaching his son, he deserves a raise! It's great that you showed newbies
This instructor is awesome... so smooth and calm... I think he did the Flite Test guys as well...
That’s awesome tucker
Tucker, you make this look so easy!
Taking my first paragliding lessons in a week! Stoked! When I get my paramotor, you should come out to Utah and we'll fly some canyons.
Van Ryan how did your lessons go ?
I actually cheered When Dave got in the air, WTG all you guys, so jealous.
I just found you're channel. Certainly wish I would have found it soon cause I live in Lakeland but heading to West Texas next week.
I could never do this in my country, too many power wires, I would have to find myself some serious open space. Love these vids.
Good job Tucker. On top of raw passion you transmit, you do it more and more as a true video Director. I know what video editing is, kudos, man. Keep it coming. And btw Scout will be my choice.yay, can't wait. Hi Jaqueline!!
Tucker, you need to look these guys up now and make a video of them four years latter. Knowing this was their first flight made my stomach fall. I'm trying to imagine my first flight, looks kinda scary. But I'm sure I'll feel ok after going through the training. I'm holding my breath on each one of their flights. I breath when he tells them to breath.
love being up high as a rock climber looks like i might be changing my sport :D tks to you @tuckergott have book or next year lessons here in UK
The instructor told the student where probably going to just taxi. Ha! He's like fuck that!! And he's on the gas. And off he's almost yelling at the student is on the gas again and he's going flying!! Love it !!! And when he was lying on his back was priceless. I. Sure I would have done wose. But it was funny. Good for him
the coaches voice sounded like the one the flight test group worked with. positive coaching. I live in Las Vegas and would love to learn along with my buddy who I fly RC with but to the best of my knowledge there's no school's out here. great videos Tucker... long time watcher first time commenter. lol
Flite Test was at the same school. It is the same coach. I think that Team Fly Halo does lessons out of California.
I want to learn how to fly a Paramotor now! Great job with these videos! I fly drones, so I get to see the same views from the ground, but I'd love to see it in person!
Nailed It!!! I liked Eric's words near the end. "Easier to fly than it is to kite". This is good news to me since all I've done so far is kite. :)
StarFyter1 kitings well worth the effort else launching will get so tiring if you fail one after another,
more kiting control= more chance of launching first go :)
keep it up :) 👍
Great silent & fuel efficient flying, Tucker! Rad!
12:55 nice job by the instructor there. Making sure he didn't let off power and try to give up on that landing. I can only imagine the faceplant if he had let off the power when he started tripping
The instructor's calm voice though! "wait wait wait pressure, pressure here you go buddy" !
I think I want to do this more than any other type of flight Ive experienced.. (A few lessons in a sailplane, and an intro flight in a cesna)
What a great Instruktions - Great Work! :-)
Holy shit, didn’t realize you were out of Florida lol. I’m from Lakeland! just found your videos this morning man. Would love to come watch this happen while I’m recovering from my motorcycle accident! Cool vids and great content bud keep it up
I live on the Delaware river in a beautiful area of Pennsylvania and I always wondered what it might be like to soar along that river!
I have become a fan of you. Subscribed to your and EricFarewell's Channel. What an awesome icecool instructor he is. One word of caution though. Using good Knee Guards will add to the safety quotient of the fliers particularly the beginners. I myself am a PPG flier with 200 hrs and 350 landings. I know the importance of KneeGuards. The number of scratches are tell-tale log of failed landings but saving of Knee.
It is educative watching your and eric's videos.
Have a great flying season ahead
Lorran, Shannon love you guys!!!
Crazy to see them in this video.
Let them know I say hi (when you are ever back in Florida), tell them it is Joe from Colorado!
I'm going to do this. I find when I say that outloud it usually happens. So yea.
ITS YOUR FAULT!
Iam getting into Paramotors too - Totally Love your Videos... You Inspired me to do This and i Bet it is Worth every second of Learning :D
Greetings From Germany :)
hey Tucker, thanks for all the vids! you've got me hooked already, I've contacted aviator ppg and hope to be in the air soon(they have a wait list a year long, so I'm probably going to learn at one of the places they recommend). in the meantime, do you mind doing a video showing us , from the ground cam, the difference between wing overs and barrel roles? when watching from your helmet cam , I can't quite visualize the difference.
thanks brother,
-fellow NJ native living in awesome CO
Amazing
That was the best! One day soon I want to be one of those guys
again a nice video dude😃
if I ever learn to fly a paramotor....this is where I'll go! Thanks!
Hey Tucker ! What about a little contest between you, Kyle O and Woody....Each of you make a video, you climb to 2000 ft AGL , stop the motor, and the one that last the longer before landing or restart wins ! That would test all your free flying abilities !
yo tucker love yout vids man!! from a south african dude
Yup this video was almost as good as being there in person. Tucker do most instructors include videos of your performance while flying so they can review with you what needs improving for the next lesson?
I have been watching your videos for a couple weeks now and am really wanting to get into flying a paramotor. The biggest problem is finding some place in the Atlanta, Ga area were I can learn.
That was a total joy to watch
Great now I have the paramotor bug! Great vids
so awesome i will do this too.
My knees hurt just watching this, but thanks for sharing man. Totally want that shirt: 4:25
Love when they land and they're tweaking off the adrenaline. Hahaha. Can't wait
I’m currently flying for a living, BUT I’ve got to do this for my retirement!! I’m afraid of heights !! Not while working in a big cockpit. Only on high step leaders or balconies ... Hope i can overcome my fears..
