It kind of put my daily worries in perspective as to exactly how insignificant they truly are in the scope of the world. It was a moment to remember. Ok, I’ll give this guy the “MONSTER BALLS” award for 2021! What he did is insane! Those who fly can better comprehend the courage (or stupidity lol) it took to complete such a feat. He didn’t have a safety crew, or safety escape plan, just raw courage. I love this video and the young man who created it. May God always keep you safe young brother.

      To put into perspective how high this guy was download an app to your phone called flight 24. It allows you to identify a plane you see above you and it's altitude. 17,000 ft is when you barely see an airliner but you see the vapor trail. You probably could not have even seen this guy from the ground at his altitude.

    • @ParadigmUnkn0wn
      @ParadigmUnkn0wn 2 роки тому +11

      @@ryanboughton5062 airliners almost always cruise above FL300 (i.e. 30,000'). You must be confusing meters and feet. The only place you'll catch an airliner that low is near an airport. 18,000' is where positively controlled airspace begins and the ability to fly under visual flight rules (VFR) ends. To fly VFR you don't need a flight plan, you don't need to talk to ATC on a radio, you don't need anything except to maintain visual separation from clouds and other planes. That's why he was able to do this and why he could only go to 17,500' even if the paramotor could have flown higher.

      As a PPG pilot myself, its not the height that gets me as that just gives me more time to fix a problem(175ft or 17,500ft you are a dead man anyway). Its the higher winds, cold, and the disappearing we use to pilot out of isolations. With no instruments in front of us it can get disorienting as the winds move the glider around.
