    Great video! I am downsizing and donating my Husky. It has all the accessories and works perfectly. I am including notes and a link to your video so the new owner can watch it. One thing you should mention is that the machine takes the commercial serger needles with the round shaft, not the more common ones with a flat side. Keeping the machine clean and oiled is also important. These machines were so well made in Japan I hate to think of them ending up in a landfill. Thank you for your video!

    This sanity check was perfect, threaded this machine like eight times correctly before I checked this, and it turns out my needle threads were twisted.

    Thank you for making this. Getting a Huskylock 535 going so great to see how it should run.

    I’ve adjusted tensions on many different sergers, and most of them work very well with
    4-4-4-3. The 3 should be the lower looper.

    Thank you. I really appreciate this. I just received a used 530 as a gift, so this is going to be a helpful video for me.

    Hello! I got my hands on one of these but I don’t have the foot for it. Do you happen to know what foot can be used as an alternative for it? Thank you for your time, and great video!

      That's what happened to me! I went to the sewing store to see if they had any, turns out a customer had ordered a foot for her husqvarna serger but didn't end up buying it. It fit my machine so I bought it! You might have luck with a husqvarna foot but I'm not sure what specific type. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

    Hello
    I myself just got my hands on one yesterday , brought it home cleaned oiled and went to put new needles in and the 530 model has screws you need hexagon I looked there aren’t screws and two needles inside I was able to get one out and I’ve sprayed with Wd40 for other one but what do you suggest for screws ? And what if I can get other needle out?

    • @tobyssewingmachinerepair8949
      @tobyssewingmachinerepair8949  3 роки тому

      For the screws I'm not exactly sure where you might find them. This particular machine doesn't appear much online and I don't think it was a popular model. In terms of the stuck needle, I would advise against using WD-40. If you're going to use an abrasive product like that, a penetrating oil like PB blaster will be much more effective for unsticking the needle.

      @@tobyssewingmachinerepair8949 the needle holder isn’t working properly waste of money wishing I could find another needle clamp for this machine

      @@Craftbags33 apparently, www.sewingpartsonline.com/husqvarna-viking-530-serger-machine-parts.aspx has the needle clamp screw in stock. They "guarantee the parts will fit the Huskylock 530". I haven't personally used them, yet but should I need parts this is the place I would get them.

    My question is how do you fix the timing??

    • @tobyssewingmachinerepair8949
      @tobyssewingmachinerepair8949  4 роки тому +1

      Quite honestly I tinkered with the loopers, examining how the loop forms and how it should be adjusted. It took a few hours but it was worth it. Maybe I'll post a video on serger timing at some point!
