    Just watched the coverstitch conversion section. After 5 hours of trying to get my machine to sew correctly I found out the lower looper threading in the video is wrong!

      This video has been terrific, up until I tried to sew the cover stitch wide. I threaded it according to the video. Each time I started to stitch the first 2 or 3 stitches the video says to stop and clip the threads behind the needles. I have done this, then rethreaded cut just the needle threads, still not successful. Then cut the right needle a thread always broke. The comment above stated the lower looper was threaded wrong in the video. What is the correct way to thread the lower looper? I have tried to study the diagram in the owners manual, very hard to read. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

      @@anitat6393 at 43:55 it says to follow the purple dots thru this area. Do not place the thread over the second dot (the one on the left) only place in the first purple dot that also has a pink dot from here go up to the loopers as the purple dots show. Hope this is clear.

      @anitat6393 3 роки тому +1

      Thank you for answering my question. I rethreaded the lower looper, but it was correct from your description. The upper looper threaded through the needle keeps breaking. Thank you for your suggestion.

    I use this machine every time I sew. I have an old Brother my mom left me and a Singer. I like to have a dark and a light threaded machine. The brother is great, but I really don’t care for the Singer. Now that’s the one that I can’t figure out, just to do a regular overlock. My Huskylock 936 must of had a power serge, because my sewing advisor just has lines going across it. 😩. It’s still does the overlock. Just have to touch the “A” auto button, to make it work. It has such a great looking stitch. I wish I could find a replacement for that Sewing Advisor. If anyone knows where I could get one plz let me know. It’s my favorite.

    Мне машина очень понравилась, я поменяла перед этой несколько других моделей. Слабые нити машина действительно рвёт. Я взяла Poliester, шьёт чудесно! При необходимости могу взять верхние нити из хлопка, но нижняя - всегда Poliester. Кроме этого, натяжение нижней нити делаю слабее, чем предлагает программа.

    I'm grasping at straws here. I purchased a Designer Diamond. The thread broke constantly. It was in for service 4 times in 8 months and they couldn't find any reason for the thread to break. Of course, it must have been my fault. Long story short, I traded that machine in and paid the difference for a Designer Diamond Deluxe (both machines were refurbished; also, I purchased them at Husqvarna dealers in Joann Fabrics). I've had the "new" machine for one week and the thread breaks EVERY time I embroider. Multiple times. I talked to the Manager who has been great, and she told me to bring it in with everything I use with it, i.e., stabilizer, thread, interfacing, fabric, needles, designs, etc. She and her assistant sat with me for 2 hours and the thread broke and shredded continuously. So they recommended that I use different stabilizer, interfacing and Insigna titanium embroidery needles, all of which I purchased. I took the machine home and it broke and shredded the thread the same as before. Do you have any suggestions? I'm tearing my hair out and am beginning to wonder if Husqvarna Viking is top of the line after all.

      ***** What kind of thread are you using? Are you using the thread holder and what size of spool? I have found that if on the bigger spools I place them in the front make the thread go over the extra spool holder under the 1st spool holder and then thread the machine. What size and kind of needle are you using? And always set the machine on the slowest speed setting that helps too. Just a few things to try. I love mine D-1.

      Thank you Carol. I sat with the department manager at the store where I bought my embroidery machine today. I'll have to experiment more, but with a combination of things and a jeans needle, my machine worked beautifully. Thanks for your response.
