The regulations for the official car weight changed recently. The M2C was probably still under the old regulations. The reason for the weight difference is WLTP. If the car is heavier on paper, the given fuel consumption appears to be "better" for the homologation-weight. It's the same with the Porsche Boxster GTS you weighed some time ago at ca. 1.200 kg.

Yes, I thought Harry would review this one. A performance driver's car, no cuddles, requires lots of driving discipline on the road. Given the £23k premium, Harry's suggestion - spec a M2 Comp seems a good one - not sure if Chris Harris' M2 is a comp (though looks like the CS tested here)?
Any factory M special always holds its value. This CS will always be an expensive car and only get more so when the final production numbers are well known and circulated. BMW M has a huge fan base and cars like this are special s for their biggest fans. E92 M3 GTS was 150 unit model and cost GT3 money when new. Currently it’s regarded as one of the best cars ever and will run a buyer just under 300k used which is double the MSRP. These CS cars are as close to factory CSL models and really are the best to show what a real M car is. As pair of light weight buckets to replace the heavy electric seats and this CS is a nobodies CSL car (100-180k lbs lighter than standard)

Harry, if your analytics show constant rewinds to 13:33 onwards in this video then I apologise, that was me x257 (so far).
Harry you do this about as well as anyone has ever done it...I love cars and I love the way you get car guys...Sorry but I like the chunky steering wheel!!!!! Dammit I think I like the wheels too!!! Thanks for the great videos...
Fantastic. M2 Comp for the win . That Harris guy would agree .
Harris owns a manual one
Except now that Harris guy went and bought a M2 CS after Harry’s review
Yes, I thought Harry would review this one. A performance driver's car, no cuddles, requires lots of driving discipline on the road. Given the £23k premium, Harry's suggestion - spec a M2 Comp seems a good one - not sure if Chris Harris' M2 is a comp (though looks like the CS tested here)?
I feel the cross over between M2 CS drivers and flowery shirt wearers will be limited to Harry and JayEmm.
Straightpipes?:)
Great car and review 👌
Making it 24k more expensive also makes it a bit of a collectors car over the years and will hold its value better.
I think you’re spot on with your summary. You could build an M2 Comp into a CS for way less than buying a CS. I think that’s what I would do too.
U would also get much less when selling.
Look at modded e46 m3 vs csl prices😎
6:46 rear seats sag like some chav's reupholstered Fiesta though :/
