Hey Harry… Just watched your ski trip with the Purosangue and I have to say it made me even happier with my 2024 Maserati Grecale Trofeo Primaserie. Just look at this for a comparison: Maserati Grecale Trofeo Primaserie Price £120,000 with all the options (Primaserie) 0-60 in 3.6 sec Top Speed: 177mph 535hp from 3.0L V6 Twin Turbo (178bhp per litre) Boot Size: 570L Kerb weight: 2027Kg Ferrari Purosangue Price as tested: Circa £500k 0-60 in 3.3 sec Top Speed: 194 mph 725 from 7.0L (104bhp per litre) Boot Size: 470L Kerb weight: 2033Kg So, essentially for 1/4 the price you get just about the same in road performance, you get the active suspension, the same creature comforts, you get more room in the boot (100L more!) and much more rear passenger space. Oh and the exhaust sound is something too, despite the twin turbos. I know you did a review of the Gracale some time back but that was the Modena, you really should do a review of the Trofeo as it is big step beyond the Modena. Happy to lend you mine! All the best…
@@dddd-uk4vn It's difficult to know why people buy these things. I'm not sure practicality is that important as someone with that much cash on hand will almost certainly have a more practical car for day to day driving.
@@tonyedgecombe6631 such a ridiculous vehicle exists for buyers to flaunt wealth and get in ferrari's good graces for when more interesting cars are released
Made the same trip out, on the same day in an XC60. Also had trouble with the cruise radar. Never before. Maybe the fog, or maybe dirty sensors? Still skiing after the big dump. Home the day after.
I quite like the look of the Purosangue tbh, V12 is awesome also, wont be long before all the V12s are gone. Great video, always enjoy these longer driving ones.
Great video as always. I must say - the user interface seems shocking to me. Utterly scandalous a company like Ferrari would allow a UI like that on one of their flagships. I actually can't think of a worse UI on any other car on the market right now.
Nice Skoda Kodiaq. - this Ferrari Pureblood reminds me of the saying ‘the whole is greater than the sum of its equal parts’. Very fine review, well filmed. && yes to having physical buttons.
@@tonyedgecombe6631 My thoughts exactly and would probably arrive about 2 overtakes behind the Ferrari! Fantastic review Harry. Thank god we still live in a time (just) where a car like this can exist. We might not all love it, but we’ll miss it when it’s gone!
Ferrari are going after the super wealthy with this car which is definitely a good move for them, so probably it’s best to avoid discussing price or value - I’ve only realised this recently and previously fell into the trap of suggesting that for the price of this you could get a supercar, a van and an SUV. I’ve since woken up and realised that the target audience already have a fleet of supercars and range rovers knocking around and that this is just something for those “in between” moments. Personally as a car enthusiast I hate it, and much prefer the FF and GTC4 but through the right lens it’s understandable.
I am fortunate enough to own a Lusso which is a perfect blend of practical and sports car, I purchased mine when two years old with warranty, and with my Discovery Sport and 997.2 GTS have a pretty good blended Garage, and for less than half the price of this latest Ferrari.
Harry's definition of "important work" made me smile...........I must remember that when the missus asks me what I am doing when I am away on business!!!!
Thanks Harry. We go next week and can’t wait. Fully loaded Range Rover with plenty of room for a few boxes of bubbly picked up from Epernay on way down. Leaving the 2 seater Ferrari in the garage, as no amount of power will help when behind the ski bus 🤔 also keeping £375,000 in my bank account 😜
What a drag - the radar on my Ferrari played up, when I went on a ski holiday to France...meanwhile no-one. Edit, great video harry, HNY and good luck with the farm in '25
The interface is a nightmare, as with all new cars. The GTC4 Lusso V12 is just as capable, lighter and arguably more aesthetic. It also has real buttons and is a fraction of the price.
@marcelohendrix6139 in all due respect you're talking absolute nonsense. I currently own an 812 and did own a Lusso V12 for 14 months, and I can safely say that the Lusso V12 was one of the best cars I ever owned.
Harry, a great and very entertaining video. But, £500k and a Christmas tree of warning light on the way to catch a Eurostar. I couldn’t live with that. However, they have a 2 year waiting list. A fool and their money are easily parted. I just don’t get it.
Italian make and electronics... ...thank goodness my former 1.3S Fulvia Coupé (a late series 1 from '70) didn't have electronics at all. There were 7 fuses for the whole car. All in all, this Purosangue is a slightly sharper-cut Mazda CX-30 for a multitude of the cost.
Harry, if you want to enjoy a nice car like this on your trip to skiresort more, you should obviously go some place else. I would recommend St. Moritz in Switzerland or maybe Colfosco in the Dolomites. Tons of nice passroroads to enjoy even in the winter!
IMO, Landrover missed (another) opportunity back in the '70s & '80s by not sticking the Jag V12 engine in a Range Rover. Of course, the unions would probably have blocked it.
When this SUV came out, the suspension was beyond ridiculous and I was wondering what would happen when it would require repairs in 5 years. No need. It will break under warranty and will still be unfixable.
Lovely comprehensive video Sir. I ll only say that these Ferrari and similar folks, do not understand UI/ UX when it comes to consumer convenience with their mad Electronics, Controls and Screens. From what you have described, it’s almost as if some nerd designed them without caring about the user in any way.
That's 135 times more (yes, one hundred and thirty five) of my really enjoyable and lovely sounding 2.7 (and theoretically 150mph) Boxster. In fact, the painted prancing pony is nearly three. That said, I'm still pleased that cars like this exist. Good review, thank you. Oh yes, can't get over those rear door hinges: look like it's a massive Corgi car 'with real opening doors.'
You have got to give credit for the winter tires it has to tackle the snow. I though my M135i F40 Xdrive with summer tires was good in the snow until I got stuck the other day having to dig myself out for 1.5 hours. Now if I had winter tires on I doubt I would of had this problem!
Love Sundays. Instead of old Top Gear (circa 2000's) we are now treated to a Harry's Garage road trip. Already know it's going to be great...... Is that a map I see 😂
As much as I love the 812, IF I had the money I would pick the Purosangue and tell myself it's the more practical choice. I agree with you Harry that engine is something to dream about. I really enjoy the road trips. Keep doing them as your schedule permits.
One factor that I would like to have heard more about was those superb winter tyres. They most have made a substantial difference, to the grip and safety in such conditions.
Great review and alway love hearing the practicalities of a car, especially size of fuel tank, range and luggage space! Just one point, as someone who lives up in the mountains in Andorra opposite a ski resort. Brand new Michelin Alpins on any car will result in effortless progress on ice and snow, subject to ground clearance of vehicle. Four wheel drive system might help in extreme up hill conditions but 95 percent of snow grip will be because of the tyres.
I smiled when Harry said he wants to see what this car is like on a family road trip to the snow as if it was last year’s Hyundai SUV. It really is a car for the one per centers who will pay for the extras and the hand painted badges. I’m yet to see one on the road here in Australia as our current exchange rate pushes the price to astronomical levels. Those steering controls would be a deal breaker as well. It’s interesting to see that in even higher end cars there is now a move away from screen tech, back to good old analogue dials and gauges. Screens are cheap and common, but analogue is now the new luxury for many super cars.
I skied in St Foy the year it opened. Nice mountain but got too many lodges built for its size. I was having a coffee at the Hotel Monal and missed the bus. There was a tradesman there to fix something and the barman asked him to drop me at St Foy. He said "sure", and drove me the 15 mins up the road! But I digress; I want to thank Harry for his sacrifice to bring us this research and Mrs M for getting cold fingers on camera. I do think Ferrari use a lucky dip or chocolate wheel to price the options.
I doubt they go anywhere near a dealer. It is just (tick) (tick) (tick) (tick) (tick) on the option sheet and click submit. Footballers, drug dealers, PLC company directors etc. Cash via accounts in Switzerland or Grand Cayman.
For people like you and I paying £487k for a car might be a joke, but for some people it's pocket change, which is why Ferrari sell every one of these they make!
@@Kelveron Or they're selling every one because they're telling people who want the next special thing that a Purosangue in the garage is going to get them extra points.
I'm pleased the back lit switches dim when not in use. The relections they cause at night are such a pain. If I start saving now, I should be able to afford my Purosangue by 3025. Interestingly my motorbike has about 500 bhp per ton and costs a modest 63,000 GBP per ton.
It's not bad value. The optional umbrella at a tad under £600 is cheap, and £7k for wheelnuts that don't dissolve in water is a bargain. I'm not sure what an annual service will cost, but seeing as it you probably have to drop the engine to change the plugs, if you get change from £40k then that makes it a great daily.
On Autotrader just now, if you were so inclined, you could buy an ultra low milage V12 GTC4 Lusso + an ultra low mileage McLaren 720s Coupe + a low mileage manual Porsche 992 GT3 Touring for just about the same combined money as this Purosangue. Bonkers?

It's a terrific-looking car, but £400k...wow! With regard to the radar/adaptive cruise not working in bad weather, my 2024 F-Pace did exactly the same in some sleet a couple of weeks ago, so I guess it's a limitation of the tech.
Great video by the way!
I was on the way to Les Arcs when you came past me on the autoroute, figured it was a Ferrari press car given the reg…great that this has a V12 but it’s hideously expensive .
Never thought I'd have anything in common with Harry, but it appears we both had new jumpers for Xmas, :) Great content by the way. :)
Spot on H - 500k! Sorry it’s a no no - think I’d rather have a holiday home and a good drivers car😂😂
I envy you having the choice
I don't think the target buyer for this car is one who has to decide between this car or a holiday home. It's more likely that the buyer of the purosangue already has multiple holiday homes and a respectable sports car collection.dojt you think? I really don't think someone buys this car whit his last bit of money!
@@smoath Envey will eat you and stop you making it in life .!
@@supmikpaddleboarding5871 These cars will be bought mostly by companies and investors as we all know but my point is - I “personify” would rather spend my hard earned monies on something else 👍
How about a boat?
Now they are an even better way to pour lots of money and get very little in return. Except for those 10 perfect days each year (which thanks to the bloody annoying weather is now down to 5 perfect days per annum)
For me you are the reviewer i enjoy the most on UA-cam. I really enjoy every content. As for the black horse
Classic Italien build with lots of soul but technical challenges.
Hey Harry… Just watched your ski trip with the Purosangue and I have to say it made me even happier with my 2024 Maserati Grecale Trofeo Primaserie. Just look at this for a comparison:
Maserati Grecale Trofeo Primaserie
Price £120,000 with all the options (Primaserie)
0-60 in 3.6 sec
Top Speed: 177mph
535hp from 3.0L V6 Twin Turbo (178bhp per litre)
Boot Size: 570L
Kerb weight: 2027Kg
Ferrari Purosangue
Price as tested: Circa £500k
0-60 in 3.3 sec
Top Speed: 194 mph
725 from 7.0L (104bhp per litre)
Boot Size: 470L
Kerb weight: 2033Kg
So, essentially for 1/4 the price you get just about the same in road performance, you get the active suspension, the same creature comforts, you get more room in the boot (100L more!) and much more rear passenger space. Oh and the exhaust sound is something too, despite the twin turbos.
I know you did a review of the Gracale some time back but that was the Modena, you really should do a review of the Trofeo as it is big step beyond the Modena. Happy to lend you mine!
All the best…
For that price tag i am amazed the amount of plastic bits it has....
And the bonnet looks like it’s had a bump.
Are they selling? I think that's how you know if a business got their product right.
people are buying it because its a "practical" NA V12, not because they want a rolls royce
V12 FNE; the legendary plate been on many a great Ferarri Press Cars.
Surprised there is no UK/GB label on it for euro use
You drove past me! The car looks insane in real life
Made the same trip out, on the same day in an XC60.
Harry's road trips are always inspiring, silly but I feel slghtly more excited on my Monday commute with my aged Alfa GT v6 than I would otherwise.
Great video as always.
I must say - the user interface seems shocking to me. Utterly scandalous a company like Ferrari would allow a UI like that on one of their flagships. I actually can't think of a worse UI on any other car on the market right now.
Nice one Harry. The deffinition of a yorkshire man? A scotsman with all the generosity squeezed out. Take care from the Forest of Blackness Mike.

Nice Skoda Kodiaq. - this Ferrari Pureblood reminds me of the saying ‘the whole is greater than the sum of its equal parts’. Very fine review, well filmed. && yes to having physical buttons.
The Skoda was probably a more comfortable drive down than the Ferrari.
@@tonyedgecombe6631 My thoughts exactly and would probably arrive about 2 overtakes behind the Ferrari! (I've driven to ski areas in a variety of cars, an old M3 was the best fun (but no more since the average speed cameras on the Autoroutes) but horrible on the last few KM's in slush. The best all rounder - a Skoda Yeti!)
Charlie you would get big fines in Sweden for driving with snow on your roof. Brake & you are blind & wipers bust.
Flinging snow at following cars.
Carry a long handled scraper 😊
Same here in Calgary. If the snow came off and hit a car behind you causing a collision and maybe worse, you will be in deep shit.
I had my van windshield partially shatter on me years ago driving on the interstate when a thick sheet of snow/ice lifted high in the air from the roof of an absolute dilapidated car up ahead and came crashing down with me surrounded by 18 wheelers. Had to keep driving to get to work while covered in pieces of glass and a nice 70mph breeze in my face 😄
For that price it should have a fully heated roof...
...or maybe ultrasound vibrating to shake precipitation off or something😊
Same in the U.K.
same in Switzerland
Couldn't you delete a couple of the options and employ someone with a Ford Transit to take all your luggage 🤣
400k! Mazda have surely lost who their customers are… for that money I expect the panels to fit.
Exactly.
i cancelled my new mustang because the touch screen takes away the drivi ngexperience , stand to be corrected to much stuff you do not need, my age and health also contributed , harry you get to test them and respect your opinion
What a treat! My old man was into cars before having kids, but this came out and he talked about it like it was out of this world. Then came the Hot Wheels... well, we all know the rest.
Thanks, Chris. Awesome.
Long videos from Harry, Matt, Evo with ECOTY and Harris just put up a video of a 959...my god this is a wonderful Sunday evening with the log fire roaring and a few warm brandy and ports 😊
Yes, the more you think about why someone would buy a car like this the more you realise it's just a status symbol.
I am fortunate enough to own a Lusso which is a perfect blend of practical and sports car, I purchased mine when two years old with warranty, and with my Discovery Sport and 997.2 GTS have a pretty good blended Garage, and for less than half the price of this latest Ferrari.
great selection of cars 👍
I'm very grateful that you took one for the team, so we didn't have to take this trip ourselves :)
Harry's definition of "important work" made me smile...........I must remember that when the missus asks me what I am doing when I am away on business!!!!
Poor farmers...
@eduardhenny1 his money was made at EVO, not farming. Watch his farming channel to find out.

Thanks Harry, I heard the cold start all the way in Banbury! 🤣
Were you cross?
It also has real buttons and is a fraction of the price.
and yet people are still not buying it
@marcelohendrix6139 clever people are
@@Mike-sg9tl clearly the market disagrees and actually wants the purosangue. gtc4 lusso has been a disaster for ferrari
@marcelohendrix6139 in all due respect you're talking absolute nonsense. I currently own an 812 and did own a Lusso V12 for 14 months, and I can safely say that the Lusso V12 was one of the best cars I ever owned.
@@Mike-sg9tl you owning it does not negate the fact that ferrari has struggled to sell it. this is public information
Not a fan of this at all sadly, Think the DBX would be my go to If I ever had any money. Great review Harry.
Problem with the dbx is that it’s soooo ugly.
@@edombre4637 Hmmmm well the Ferrari isn't a looker either.
The FF was 11 years ago!?😳

Harry's son set off in a typical UK fashion. With the snow on the roof...
Maybe he used it for extra traction...
He thought the RR wasn't quite heavy enough as it was.
Another fantastic video Harry! I love your trip videos.
Harry, a great and very entertaining video. But, £500k and a Christmas tree of warning light on the way to catch a Eurostar. I couldn’t live with that. However, they have a 2 year waiting list. A fool and their money are easily parted. I just don’t get it.
No mention of this car's main purpose - which is to say "look at me, I can afford half a mill on a car". And for that job it is marvellous.
Exactly, the guy saying get a Lusso and a McLaren for the same money missed the memo.
Not really cause most people dont know anything about cars. U put a purosangue next to some random lamborghini and they'll take the lambo all day
Italian make and electronics... ...thank goodness my former 1.3S Fulvia Coupé (a late series 1 from '70) didn't have electronics at all.
Excellent review as per usual. Happy new year.
As Richard Hammond said after testing the Purosangue, I would rather have a Dacia Duster and a house 😘
Would still have an FF or GTC4 Lusso, they are beautiful.
Obscene price and expect the depreciation will be monstrous.
Half a million pounds for a car is utterly of the scale madness 👍🏻🏴
What’s madder is that he said the dealer had a 2 year waiting list 😂😂
Its $2.3 million in Singapore 🤣
Yeah but most buy a Ferrari to flaunt their wealth so the pricing is a fundamental part of the marketing strategy.
Especially one with such basic flaws.
You pay half of the amount for the branding and to satisfy your ego I guess. The other half is the car.
You have got to give credit for the winter tires it has to tackle the snow. I though my M135i F40 Xdrive with summer tires was good in the snow until I got stuck the other day having to dig myself out for 1.5 hours. Now if I had winter tires on I doubt I would of had this problem!
Loved the shots that emphasised the bonnet arriving at a corner a week before Harry did.
Love Sundays. Instead of old Top Gear (circa 2000's) we are now treated to a Harry's Garage road trip. Already know it's going to be great...... Is that a map I see 😂
And Chris Harris, Retropower, Tyrells, Jonny Smith as well.

Completely agree, but you can fit those to any car for a few hundred! Doesn't need to be a Purosangue!
Staggering that anyone of sound mind would even consider putting approaching 500k into this.
It's easy to forget that there are enough people around for whom the price is irrelevant.
If ever there was a car that fitted the "poseur mobile" moniker, it's this one...
Catering to different income levels
Is there a lunatic asylum full of millionaires near Dick Lovett, Swindon? 😂😂
Even most millionaires would baulk at these numbers.
Spark plug change? That's an engine out job, that'll be £15,000
I smiled when Harry said he wants to see what this car is like on a family road trip to the snow as if it was last year’s Hyundai SUV. It really is a car for the one per centers who will pay for the extras and the hand painted badges. I’m yet to see one on the road here in Australia as our current exchange rate pushes the price to astronomical levels. Those steering controls would be a deal breaker as well. It’s interesting to see that in even higher end cars there is
now a move away from screen tech, back to good old analogue dials and gauges.
Ferrari FF 13’ trip one of my all time

£487k 😂 what a joke. Straight from the ‘I saw you coming’ dealership.
I doubt they go anywhere near a dealer. It is just (tick) (tick) (tick) (tick) (tick) on the option sheet and click submit. Footballers, drug dealers, PLC company directors etc. Cash via accounts in Switzerland or Grand Cayman.
Says a man who isn't rich. Half a million pounds isn't much money to some people, hence the long waiting list.
For people like you and I paying £487k for a car might be a joke, but for some people it's pocket change, which is why Ferrari sell every one of these they make!
*stealership
@@Kelveron Or they're selling every one because they're telling people who want the next special thing that a Purosangue in the garage is going to get them extra points.
It's a car for the family. Annd if the family complain early in the journey the seats are uncomfortable then the car is a failure.
