if this is a true petrol heads car, then what does that make a go kart? Put a racing suit on, helmet, gloves and race a go kart for a day... you come out smelling and dripping of sweat and petrol... thats a TRUE motoring experience... then to get this experience on the road you'd buy a lotus exiges or a caterham kit car...

420hp M3 is as fast as 340hp M140i -> 100-200

I saw the Audi SUV keep away up front for a while, and when it eventually was caught and merged over the rims gave away that it was an RSQ8. That Audi isn’t slow and the M2 CS caught it like it wasn’t moving.
On the autobahn you never know if the car in front of you is accelerating as much as possible ;)

I'm watching this with tears in my eyes (not literaly :) I got my M2 Competition 2 days ago and it's really fun! I thought about getting a CS but man, 35.000 EUR more compared to a M2 Competition? So I decided to get the "Normal" M2 and driving it almost every day instead of this fine car and let it stay in the garage and selling it in 15 Years for more than I paid. And I have even more tears in my eyes because I gave away my fantastic M140i (I really loved this car) for the M2.

@@koumagnonable I don't complain! I'm really happy and it's not that I'm disapointed. It's just to know that there is the "ultimate" M2 out there and there most likely never will be a comparable BMW again (in concept, size, style, fun, you name it). But like I said, I didn't wanted to spent that much more.

I hate the black plastic arch over the wheels. No sense regulations.... they look so cheap... everything else is simply gorgeous. 100% agree on the analog vs digital dials.

I agree about the new BMW cluster gauge! That's a deal breaker for me i don't care if the car looks good or fast if the cluster gauge is ugly i wouldn't even buy it😅

thank you for the vid, what suspension mode and drive mode were you using?
My M2 CS has the 405 horsepower engine not the 444 HP engine as advertised. BMW's official documentation (MCO/MSO) for my car shows that it came with the 405 HP engine. I contacted BMW North America on April 19,2021 about the horsepower discrepancy. They refuse to address my concerns.

Hi, if you are american or you do live in America, I have a question for you: do you have any speed limit for your highways or you do not have any like in Germany?
Riccardo Armini yeah I’m American and our speed limits on highways can be anywhere from 55-75mph, however drivers rarely obey those and the average rate of traffic is about 10mph over the posted limit.

If M2 CS is one of the very best cars in last few years this channel become one of the best in last few years as well.
Have to agree 100% with Max about the dials, this is perfect, whereas the digital dials are just odd, don't look as good.
Analog dials will not age as badly as a screen.
Yeah even I prefer analog dials as compared to digital.
Full orange ones of pre LCI are also very nice

Not saying the M2 CS would see off a stamped RSQ8 in a straight line, it has 200 fewer bhp and not a brilliant drag coefficient. But round every other track in the world? Even the older M2C could beat the identical Urus around Laguna Seca; the CS will hold the Q8 down and give it a good spanking.

I had two M2C; had the chance to get the CS but after having a look at the dealer I gave it up. In Germany it's GT4 money but it definitely isn't as special or raw as the GT4. Get the M2C and save yourself 45k in Germany. It's actually not that special. High sitting position means you feel like you are in a normal 1 series. Engine too quiet from within the cabin compared to for example 718. Handling--well it might be the best handling bmw for sale today but it's definitely too heavy and high. You can't defy physics. For the same money definitely get the GT4.
Bro trust me I tried yesterday in Saint tropez they took me with a pilot on the mountains it is brutal sticky and powerful and 50 horsepower more man it's amazing I can't describe

I'm glad you enjoyed this car so much. I've been waiting for this review, it didn't disappoint. To long time BMW lovers like me this car is beautiful 😍. It may not become as iconic as the E30 M3 but it's just as much a driver's car.

Agree with everything you said. Ordered my Misano Blue/Gold Wheels/Carbon Ceramics/6MT to replace my DCT M2 Comp. Delivery should be in Dec (I am in the US). I do believe that this is the last real analog(ish) BMW.
Really nice, but the improvements over the M2C come at quite a premium, considering you can flash the tune from the M2 CS into an M2C and have the same horsepower. It has been debunked that there are differences in the cooling system. There are no cooling system changes in the M2 CS, other than the vented hood. I think when the warranty is up on my M2C I will get the M2 CS or perhaps the M4 GTS tune.

I live and work on the road doing consulting gigs and I drive the OG M2 with DCT. It's perfect. The car has enough room for my clothes and stuff. The interior is nicer than non-owners are reporting and overall performance is good. This is a fun car.

Its a fantastic car, but is it £25,000 better than a baseline M2 ?! I say NO
I went M2 Competition from a Porsche C4S. The little monster is miles funner/thrilling and just a beast. The M2C is all about its handling balance as it’s as perfect as I have ever owned and I have owned a lot of 911’s. It’s seriously faster than it’s reported “specs” from BMW which would indicate BMW is sandbagging how much power this engine is really putting out in the M2C.

It's pretty damn heavy too, it should come with a lightweight option as in lightweight glass, no back seats, lightweight front seats, standard suspension.
