Under-rated as in praised to hell and back with that best-selling premiere album, many many more and - not having been away, really - magnificent comeback with Bat out of Hell II? The word "underrated" is so abused nowadays.

I would classify this as rock opera, honestly. Being a theater nerd and loving fantasy books and movies, this was my FAVORITE music video ever. It might still be, honestly.
Not much comes to the caliber of this video, but there are some videos like Guns N Roses November Rain, that are in the rock opera vibe. Even Lady Gaga has had several videos I would consider in this genre. But this one is THE BEST.

When I first stumbled across this channel, I really was not sure about how genuine this dude was. Self proclaimed hip-hop head, you know, listening and reacting to my kind of music... how can this man be so open minded? Science says your taste in music is basically set at age 30 and does not really change anymore and what not. Also it would be totally understandable if he pretended to like songs that his viewers are passionate about. Now, after watching for a couple of months, I believe most of this is real and authentic,
There is tons of reaction youtube channels out there, but somehow this one sticks out to me.

If Meat Loaf is inducted in to the Rock and roll hall of fame then they have to induct Jim Steinman with him. Steinman wrote all the songs on Bat out of hell I & II, as well as three songs that were
major hits for other artist: "Total Eclipse Of the Heart" for Bonnie Tyler. "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All” for Air Supply and later "It's all coming back to me now" for Celine Dion...all songs were originally offered to Meat Loaf, but Meatloaf didn't want to pay for using Steinman's material, as a result Meat's album "Midnight At The Lost And Found" failed to sell. Later on Meat loaf caved and did record "it's all coming back to me now out of desperation. Meat loaf is without a doubt a super talent and an amazing performer, but to use a sports metaphor he's one tool short of a 5 tool player...He can't write. My point is where would Meat Loaf be if not for Jim Steinman...the Rock and roll hall of fame committee who puts artist on the ballot are primarily musicians that are already in the hall of fame. I heard an Interview with Paul McCartney recently and he said "as much as I love Elvis I respect the likes of Buddy Holly, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, and Jerry Lee Lewis more because they wrote, sang, and played their instruments"
plus not to mention there are major artist that are not in or were never even considered like Bad Company, Foreigner, Boston, Iron Maiden, Pat Benatar, Tina Turner, Grand Funk, Huey Lewis and the News, Duran Duran, Three dog night, Kool and the gang, Barry White...there's a long list of snubs. And on the other side of the coin There are a lot of artist who are in that shouldn't be in, or artist who are in deservable so, but got in way to soon while other legends are still waiting.

Jim writes these lyrics from his soul, and Meatloaf possesses the talent to draw the emotions out in a manner that feels as though they have been reading the listener's diary, stealing the secrets no one knows. It's also why we had a second British Invasion in the early 80s...the British had been making artistic promo music videos since the early 1970s, while that wasn't a thing in the American market. MTV drops in 1981 and *boom* all the "good" videos were from British bands because American bands just had boring mime performance videos.

He won a Grammy for this song, and deservedly so. 12 Minutes of pure epicness (on the album). It's kind of a shame, though, that the video version cuts some of Lorraine Crosby's part; it had one of my favorite lines, "Can you colorize my life? I'm so sick of black and white!"

"It's all coming back to me now" is not simply a "Céline Dion song", it's a Jim Steinman song he actually wrote with Meat Loaf in mind, but coz they were fighting all the time, he gave it (and other songs) to someone else to dig into Meat Loaf's pride. Whenever they made up again, Meat finally got to do some of those "lost" songs himself. And it's always best when Meat and Jim are combined.
