Meatloaf created what is called Rock Opera. The BAT OUT OF HELL ALBUM IS EPIC. TWO OUT OF THREE AIN'T BAD IS MY SONG. Many years ago a man dedicated TWO OUT OF THREE AIN'T BAD TO ME. He said he wanted me needed me but he'd never fall in love with me. I loved him so I never gave up, eventually he did fall in love with me and asked me to marry him. Sadly he died five days before our wedding from testicular cancer. That was 33yrs ago I MISS HIM EVERY DAY AND HE IS WAS AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE LOVE OF MY LIFE ❤❤❤❤❤. REST IN PEACE VICTOR AND REST IN PEACE MEATLOAF.
Meat Loaf was also "only" the singer, the music was written bei Jim Steinman. Just listen to other songs from him without Meat Loaf, you still recognize the style. For example "Tonight is what it means to be young" (Holly Sherwood) or "Total Eclipse of the Heart" (Bonnie Tyler)
You say we don't do music like this anymore... nobody else ever did. Meatloaf was a singular event in musical history and we are all lucky he gifted us with his legacy.
I do not think there will ever be another person who sings like this!! And it is him and the guy who wrote the songs that there is only one other writer and singer duo!! And the other successful dou is Elton John and Bernie!! But meatloaf is All by himself for this type of Rock Opera!!
Been a Meatloaf fan my whole life and I'm 56. Jim Stineman wrote most of the songs Meatloaf sang. They were an amazing team. This just happens to be one of my favorite songs of his and I believe the song and video he did after this song was I'd Lie for you ( and that's the truth) and it's like a part 2 to this song. RIP Meatloaf and Jim ❤
Steinman was known for his style which became coined as Wagnerian Rock. He wrote many hits for Bonnie Tyler as well. He did some musical theater as well. rock opera stuff. RIP JS
Jim Steinman wrote nearly all of Meat's music. He was absolutely brilliant The intended rock opera finally came to the stage in the 21st century. The Bat Out of Hell album is one of the greatest albums ever made. RIP Meat and Jim
The 'that' is cheat then leave - he's telling her he'll never cheat or leave as is evidenced by the end of the song where she says 'after a while you'll forget everything' and 'sooner or later you'll be screwing around' and he said "no, I won't do that."
Fell in love with Meat over 40 years ago.. I'm 71 now got to see him once at Warwick Castle here in UK.. Even queued in the rain to get a signed CD of Bat 111 had to save up to buy the CD player to listen to it a few weeks later he was a singer, story teller, TV Actor, films too, Fight Club, Rocky Horror and others.. a perfectionist. Very intelligent, and so sensitive too. The last time I saw him on TV was just prior to his death on an episode of Ghost Hunters, he was brilliant at that too.. so sadly missed by us all. Just completely broke my heart when I heard of his passing.. Cried all the way through this video, but thank you Sebs I truly enjoyed it
Hi, reminds me of what drove me to get my first CD player...for me was Pour Some Sugar on Me...For my brother, it was Owner of a Lonely Heart...such milestones...
Go back and listen closely. He actually says different things he won't do. Such as forget how it feels to touch her. I don't know if anyone catches it the first time they listen. Believe me it's been great listening to his music over the years. I never get tired of it. He was Amazing in so many ways. Welcome to Rock Opera Seb!
Things he won't do: - I'll never do it better than I do it with you - I'll never stop dreaming of you - you'll see that it's time to move on - Sooner or later you'll be screwing around
We shouldn't forget the brilliant writer of Meat Loaf's songs. Jim Steinman was a brilliant writer and composer. R.I.P. Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf. 🎵🎶💙💜💙🎶🎵
Jim Steinman was amazing too, he was part of the two artists who I remember hearing from a very early age one of course was meatloaf, and the other Bonnie Tyler, as in TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE HEART, you can totally tell when listening to them that he was very involved with both artists and their music.
Steinman--unmistakable songwriter. I found Meatloaf late--long after his heyday, and then went down a UA-cam hole finding his stuff. Later I'd be listening to other music I'd known and liked for years...and suddenly...wait...that's gotta be Steinman..really? Look it up...sure enough. But no one did his songs better than Meatloaf.
This song was a huge hit back then. I think 20yrs between hits. But for some reason the mainstream didn't like him so they played this over and over and over to the point people got sick of it. That's how they killed his music. So in this song I think he took the opening lines and moved them to the end of the song. If you heard the last lines first you would understand what the song is about. However would it have been as intriguing? So by moving the opening to the end of the song it kept you wondering and engaged? What do ya'll think? I was in H.S. when this came out.
Meatloaf has a role in the Rocky Horror Picture Show, which is a cult classic and worth checking out. You’ve probably heard Time Warp and seeing the film puts it in to context.
I loved Meatloaf in the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I read an interview with him once...he was talking about volunteering at his kids' schools during their elementary and middle schools years, helping the teachers with staging, directing, costuming, etc. little performances as well as skits involving the kids. He loved it, just as he did participating in their other childhood activities. He sounded like he was a great dad, and I admire him for that.
The video was directed by Michael Bay, who directed the Transformer movies, among others. So you weren't too far off when you said that you were getting Terminator vibes at the beginning. The imagery is a cross between Bram Stoker's Dracula and Beauty and the Beast. He tells you what he won't do for love right before he tells you that he won't do that. "I'll never forget the way you feel right now.", I'll never lie to you, and that's a fact.", "I'll never do it better than i do it with you.", "I'll never stop dreaming of you every night of my life." etc. Brilliantly written song, and of course Meatloaf could belt it. Such a showman.
This song has always reminded me of bohemian rhapsody they way it changes so many times. Meatloaf and Freddie’s were both great entertainers and showmen. RIP.
Meatloaf was an incomparable artist! There are so many amazing deep cuts on his albums. I hope you explore more of his work, even if it’s just for yourself.
The best way I can ever describe Meat Loaf is Rock Opera. He was one of the best. I loved seeing him play live. Truly one of the greats. As for what he won't do, listen to the first line in every chorus, for example, "I'll never forget the way you feel right now " in this case, that is what he won't do.
Meat Loaf did an interview finally answering what it was, he was referring to and it wasn't that lol. He confirmed it was what everyone joked it was all along.
I was so blessed to grow up with genius musicianship in my youth. Came to expect it. So, sorry, most of today's music and productions can't hold a candle to this kind of artistry. Much fun to watch you discover, experience and appreciate it!
Agreed. Producers and Singers now cut every corner they can find. What passes for 'pop' music is nothing like what we had back in the day, when artists ACTUALLY PRACTICED for hours on end so they could get it right themselves, rather than relying on the electronic manipulation afterward. SOME artists still do it right but not in Western Pop...
His football coach gave him the name "Meatloaf." The video seems to combine a bit of Vampire legend and Beauty & the Beast vibes. RIP man, and thanks for the entertainment.
No, no, no. It definitely works while you are driving in a car. Picture and feel this. Two seater manual convertible sports car. Top down, late at night on a curvy, windy country road. Radio blaring. It’s epic and I’m so glad that I had that. Super great memories that I can feel to my core. Sooooooooo glad I grew up during the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Glad to see younger people discovering the magic. Try to remember that the magic was lived by the senior citizens you see today.
This is like a weird Beauty & the Beast story. LOL Meatloaf is also an actor & he loves theatrics & always took the opportunity to make cool videos. Yay us! And he says the 'that' is what he won't do... he won't stop dreaming about her, he won't stop loving her... nope, he won't do that.
Meatloaf is incomparable! The "that" starts off each verse. "I'll never stop dreaming of you every night of my life," etc. It's a common pop-culture question :)
A great song that details his life, losing his best friend at a young age, growing up with an abusive alcoholic Father and his first love, is the song called, "Objects in the rearview mirror appear closer than they are". Terrific video of movie form and appropriate for the song. Very meaningful song. Do yourself and your viewers a favor. He should have been inducted into the Hall of Fame, Rock n Roll.
we love to shout out his songs in the car. being boomers, of course, we know all the lyrics . bat out of hell 1 and 2, it´s just great being 60+ and still enjoying him. what a man. and the rocky horror picture show, just wow.
He tells you at the end of each verse I'll never forget I'll never lie to you, forget how you feel, be there till the final act , never forgive himself, never think of turning back, stop dreaming of her, and screw around
Meatloaf was a pure Showman. I was waiting for your reaction when her vocals kicked in. HOW have you not heard this song????This is an iconic rock song that was everywhere when it was released. Meatloaf was also in a musical. He played Eddy in The Rocky Horror Picture Show and his song was called 'Sweet Patootie'. If you haven't checked out Rocky Horror you need to! It's a brilliant bit of pure madness that's huge fun as long as you don't take it too seriously.
My favorite part of all these "Anything for Love" reactions are watching the reactions of when "Miss Loud" breaks into the last part of the song. Always priceless.
You need to check out the album version of this. Twelve minutes of absolute perfection. Both Bat Out of Hell and Bat Out of Hell II are masterpieces. You have to check out Objects in the Rear View Mirror May Appear Closer Than They Are (he won a Grammy), if you haven't already. Other songs I recommend, either for the channel or just for a listen are I'd Lie For You (And That's The Truth), Everything Louder than Everything Else, Life Is A Lemon And I Want My Money Back, Not A Dry Eye In The House, Couldn't Have Said It Better, Man of Steel (his daughter is on this one) and Testify.
So much to choose from!! Life is a Lemon is delightfully dystopian. I’m Gonna Love Her for Both of Us and Surf’s Up are also bangers… tongue in cheek Steinman gold delivered as only ML can.
This was his biggest hit on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart (for all the hits he had, only this one made it to the top 10, as his next biggest charting single was 1978's "Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad"), as it became his only #1 hit, spending 5 consecutive weeks at the top spot, from November 6th-December 4th, 1993. If you haven't heard "Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad" or "Paradise By The Dashboard Light" I highly recommend you listen it. Fun fact - if you want to hear a song that was originally written for Meatloaf to perform, but he passed on it, listen to Celine Dion's "It's All Coming Back To Me Now."
In Canada we still hear this on Radio, but it is the recorded versions. I know it was turned ito a Broadway production, but if you grew up with this, they ca'nt take away someting they never owned and say watch this. HE was epic, maybe just maybe it became a Broadway show cause he was celebrated! Weird as he was himself.
I always thought the female singer was Bonnie Tyler (Total Eclipse of the Heart) who collaborated with Meatloaf quite a few times. I later found out it was Lorraine Crosby. They sound so alike that Bonnie sang the duet with Meatloaf too.
I don't know if anyone has ever mentioned but meatloaf started in theater in new York and wanted to be a rockstar so that is why his music and videos are so theatrical
@ 11:29 "Movements" is exactly the right word. Opera is a theatrical performance powered by an orchestra, chorus and soloists telling a story without speaking. Everything is sung. Hugely popular in Europe and the forerunner of musicals like Oklahoma and Hello Dolly.
His name…was Robert Paulson Meatloaf is Rock and Roll Royalty as a pioneer for the Rock Opera genre. He was also a great actor later in his career. His performance in Fight Club was epic!
the example i can give is in the first part of the song he says "i will do anything for love but ill never for get the way you feel right now" then he says again i will do anything for love. when he says but i wont do that he is saying in this part of the song he will never forget the way she feels right now. it is a little confusing but youll get the whole song if you listen to it and read the lyrics.
I saw meatloaf I saw him (don't judge age. Lol) in 95 in Portland Maine and his opening "act" was the Portland string quartet and it was a blizzard out another meatloaf song. It was probably my best concert
In every verse, the things that he WON'T do are stated directly, usually by saying something like "But I'll never lie to you, and that's a fact". Rather than the Phantom of the Opera, this is a love story for one or more vampires. At the end, when she's singing, a specific question she asks is if he'd hose her down with holy water if she got too hot. So far as I know of in folklore, the only monsters affected by holy water are vampires or demons. From what I've heard, the video was directed by Michael Bay, which would make it one of his best cinematic efforts.
i just learned what 'that' is today and i've been a meatloaf fan since i was a kid! 'that' is all the things he says in the chorus parts, he'll "never stop dreaming of you" < that is the thing he won't do. he'll do anything for love, but he will never stop dreaming of her.
It feels and sounds like a musical because it is. Jim Steinman wrote the musical Bat Out Of Hell, not talking about the Meatloaf album, this is a musical that is being performed. It is about vampires most say but they aren't vampires exactly. Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse Of The Heart is also from there.
I remember seeing Meatloaf in an interview shortly before he passed. He explained that, like any actor, he had a character for each song. During the course of a concert, he would have to change characters as many times as there were songs. When you see his videos and his live performances, you can totally see that.
To previous comment - Jim Steinman created and was the driving force behind Meatloaf delivered the songs as only Meatloaf and his backing could deliver. Jim Steinman was a genius song writer who past recently, even did an album that was for Meat Loaf when Meat had voice problems - an excellent album that might have be Bat Out Of Hell 2... ...worth finding and listening too.
Most of his songs.. cudos to his writing partner.. have meanings that hit real life things.. I love the movie feeling of his clips. Beauty and the beast in this one.
Meatloaf's music was written by the late great Jim Stienman who's been called the Wagner of Rock because his style was so operatic. Jim and Meat were an on again off again partnership but never better than when they were together. Jim also wrote Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart", Air Supply's "Making Love out of Nothing at All" and co-wrote and produced Sister's of Mercy's "More".
His real name is Marvin Lee Aday and he was born in Dallas, TX. I was 17 when Bat Out of Hell was released and I have it in every format, Vinyl, Cassette, CD and in my phone.
You might want to listen to two songs from a rock and roll movie called Streets of Fire. The songs are Tonight is What it Means to be Young, or Sorcerer. Sorcerer was written by Stevie Nicks and is a slow burn number. The other was written by Jim Steinman who also wrote this number, a lot of stuff for Celine Dion, and Bonnie Tyler.
Im so glad younger People are listening to great music from all Generations. Older People should listen to young peoples music too. There is good music in all generations! And you can dislike some in all generations too
If you do it right (I didn't), you really can have a wasted youth AND a wise and productive old age. Somewhere in Rock and Roll Heaven, Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman are playing everything louder than everything else.
The album “Bat Out of Hell” is written as an opera. Starting from the first song, it tells a story. Each song tells a part of the story. I’ve been a huge Meatloaf fan since about 1980. Listen to “For Crying Out Loud”. It’s my favorite.
If you like storytelling in music, there’s a band called Ludo who did an album called “Broken Bride”. It’s a 5 track, 30 minute rock opera about a man who loses the woman he loves and tries to travel through time to get her back. It’s freaking EPIC
By far my favorite hymn of all time. It is truly so powerful, beautiful and incredibly written. The meaning of this hymn is so deep and this vocalist sings this with the richness and power it so rightfully deserved.
No, not weird to listen to music like this in the car. Just think how interesting road trips were! Our music kept us awake and singing and car dancing! The music of the 60's to early 80's has so much experimentation - the whole point was to stand out and be noticed (in a very good way of course). Musicians were exploring blues, rock, Southern rock and it was all so good. Honestly the repetitive nature is why I never gravitated to enjoying pop music. Stayed a rock and roller.
I always think of the movie Fight Club (Meatloaf played Bob) when i hear his music. I love that movie anyway, but his performance is so remarkable, Definitely check him out in Fight Club. RIP Meatloaf. The video seems like a mix between Dracula and Beauty and the Beast.
One you really need to see is Meat Loaf - Dead Ringer for Love also Two Out of Three Ain't Bad. Meatloaf was truly amazing and is so missed. If you haven't seen Rocky Horror Picture Show it is something you need to see. He was in the movie and it was awesome.
Things Meat Loaf says he will never do in the song: Lie to you Forget the way you feel right now Forgive myself if we don't go all the way tonight Do it better than I do it with you Stop dreaming of you every night of my life See that it's time to move on Be screwing around
The woman who sung it with meat sings every year at our clubbing, always gets a no tickets left deal,I sat with her and told her and the band a music joke, she broke up with her husband and started working on a cruise ship, but she still finds time for the wee Dee Club in Dundee scotland

❤😢❤
I met my hub 33 yrs ago.❤sorry for your loss and I hope you found someone else.
What a sad ending to a sweet love story. I hope God blessed you with another love, to support you thru life.
I love Meatloaf, but he did not create rock opera. Go back to the 60's and 70's for Jesus Christ Superstar and Hair, and Tommy by the Who.
Meatloaf was/is the definition of rock opera. Rip. 😢😢😢
THE WHO !!!!!!!
nah bro, gotta give this title to freddie

you are abaolutely right! Him and Jim Steinman were the dynamic duo
He’s an actor who can sing and write! He LOVED telling stories.
So grateful my generation had these performers to dance and joy ride in my car with🩷☮️
A song everyone should know but not once. Haha.
Meatloaf didnt write his own songs though. The rest agree on though. Jim Steinman wrote his music for him.
I am so grateful too
I stand corrected…Meat did not write his own music. Still a marvelous story teller.👍🏼
@@kerriespinrad7651 he was absolutely brilliant.
"Will you hose me down with holy water...if i get too hot!?"
One of the sexiest and most underrated lyric in the history of rock and roll
Amen to that.
That was my favorite line in the song, too.
Now I'm going to play some Meatloaf .😊
RIP Meat Loaf
RIP Jim Steinman

I'm 69 and haven't ever not been amazed at his talent! What a joy being able to experience him the first time😉
The female singer was British singer Lorraine Crosby, who did a tribute to him when he died. She said he was a great man and larger than life itself.
Jim Steinman wrote nearly all of Meat's music. He was absolutely brilliant The intended rock opera finally came to the stage in the 21st century. The Bat Out of Hell album is one of the greatest albums ever made. RIP Meat and Jim
Thank you so much for this. Jim often gets lost in the big personality that is Meatloaf. But he was every bit as part of this as Meatloaf was.
Add Bonnie Tyler to the list he wrote for.
You Took the Words Right Out Of My Mouth is a must, great song.
Meatloaf was an experience, not merely an artist. Objects in the Rearview Mirror is one of my favorites of his.
Yes, same!
I can't listen to that song, it always makes me cry
The 'that' is cheat then leave - he's telling her he'll never cheat or leave as is evidenced by the end of the song where she says 'after a while you'll forget everything' and 'sooner or later you'll be screwing around' and he said "no, I won't do that."

Yes, he explained that in an interview one time, I remember.
This is the Fight Club of songs, it's even better the second or third time, when you really get it.
Things he won't do:
- I'll never do it better than I do it with you
- I'll never stop dreaming of you
- you'll see that it's time to move on

Jim Steinman - the master of the 7 +/- minute rock opera!
This is more like Beauty and the Beast than Terminator!! Nice reaction!!

@@IRHRRetired No I haven't seen it. I'll try to find it. Thanks !
The last lyrics that the woman sings at the end is the thing he won't do. It's amazing how it brings it all together at the end
Thanks!
one of the most detailed or intriguing music videos ever made- so many things to react to!
Oh yes. Another Jim Steinman masterpiece. Meat and Steinman were a great team back in the day

Two Outta 3 Ain’t bad. God damn what a fantastic song
Almost 40 years on this one still tears my guts out.
I dont know that there is a more perfect lyrical story/song/performance
Bat out of hell album was great the whole album just seemed to go together we would turn it up and just sing as loud as we could 😊😊😊

Every Meatloaf song is a mini Rock Opera.
If you want to experience another epic from Meat Loaf check out his version of Celine Dion's, It's All Coming Back to Me Now.
Celine’s version is very nicely executed, but ML’s version is like living it…
Celine’s is great, yes, but for some reason his just hits me so hard

He sang the National Anthem at an All-Star baseball game in 1994. Fantastic!

bat out of hell 1 and 2, it´s just great being 60+ and still enjoying him. what a man.
and the rocky horror picture show, just wow.
Yes!!! Boomer here too, and when I have the house to myself I put on BOOH 1 and go crazy.
Love love, love me some Meatloaf!
He was born Marvin Lee Aday and billed as Michael Aday in various acting ventures. He had a fantastic voice, especially in his prime.
His name is Robert Paulson. Lol
@Joe-wc7wl
Marvin Lee Aday, he was called Meat when he was at school because he was so big, and then the nickname turned to Meat Loaf.
He changed his name to Michael because Levis came out with an ad about a fat Marvin can't fit in Levi's. He was never comfortable with his size.
Love this song
I remember when it came out, I was in year 7......ain't heard it for some time, cheers seb for playing it.
R.I.P Meatloaf
My favorite part of all these "Anything for Love" reactions are watching the reactions of when "Miss Loud" breaks into the last part of the song. Always priceless.
Love this song! I was young when it came out. I was 20. Such a powerful song. To this day I’ll never forget where I was when I heard it.
I love Bat Out of Hell III as well.
Actually Meatloaf did it as a duet.
This is the greatest love song ever written in my opinion, a true EPIC ❤👌👌
I always thought the female singer was Bonnie Tyler (Total Eclipse of the Heart) who collaborated with Meatloaf quite a few times. I later found out it was Lorraine Crosby. They sound so alike that Bonnie sang the duet with Meatloaf too.
This is one of the greatest music videos ever made. Everything about the video works, and the lyrics and song composition. Whew.
I don't know if anyone has ever mentioned but meatloaf started in theater in new York and wanted to be a rockstar so that is why his music and videos are so theatrical
Best reaction yet.
R.I.P Meatloaf
@ 11:29 "Movements" is exactly the right word. Opera is a theatrical performance powered by an orchestra, chorus and soloists telling a story without speaking. Everything is sung. Hugely popular in Europe and the forerunner of musicals like Oklahoma and Hello Dolly.
His name…was Robert Paulson
Meatloaf is Rock and Roll Royalty as a pioneer for the Rock Opera genre. He was also a great actor later in his career. His performance in Fight Club was epic!
You don't want to know how long I scrolled
His name was Robert Paulson!
the example i can give is in the first part of the song he says "i will do anything for love but ill never for get the way you feel right now" then he says again i will do anything for love. when he says but i wont do that he is saying in this part of the song he will never forget the way she feels right now. it is a little confusing but youll get the whole song if you listen to it and read the lyrics.
Meat Loaf was the best. How about reacting to his first big hit "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad."
You’re right, that is “ lie / cheat “. Great reaction to a song I haven’t listened too in years.
I saw meatloaf I saw him (don't judge age. Lol) in 95 in Portland Maine and his opening "act" was the Portland string quartet and it was a blizzard out another meatloaf song. It was probably my best concert
I saw him on Broadway and in concert...A Showman to the core. Rock Opera is the best description.
As old as I am I need to listen to more meatloaf. I’ve heard this and his Rocky horror picture show bit. Gonna have to make it a priority
The drama, emotion.. OMG! Love this! ❤️
Enjoy the show.
Objects in the Review Mirror will break you! Well, anything Meatloaf did was always GREAT!!
The important part of what you were saying was that his voice is incredible!! So true. Meatloaf and Steinman made BEAUTIFUL music together. RIP❤❤❤❤❤
I haven't watched the video in a while, and I caught myself almost tearing up. I am envious of anyone who ever got to watch him live.
Two out of three by Meatloaf is 🔥
Meatloaf is such a powerful vocalist
Im so glad younger People are listening to great music from all Generations. Older People should listen to young peoples music too. There is good music in all generations! And you can dislike some in all generations too
Yes, he's a wonderful actor as well. Fight club and rocky horror picture show are my favorites. More Meatloaf please!
Meatloaf will always be one of my favorite singers, such a beautiful voice. RIP.
HEAVEN CAN WAIT the LIVE VERSION.
Its wonderful, he had a beautiful voice in his prime.
Personally prefer the studio version but either is better than neither!
Jim Steinman had such a beautiful soul
If you do it right (I didn't), you really can have a wasted youth AND a wise and productive old age. Somewhere in Rock and Roll Heaven, Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman are playing everything louder than everything else.
The album “Bat Out of Hell” is written as an opera. Starting from the first song, it tells a story. Each song tells a part of the story. I’ve been a huge Meatloaf fan since about 1980. Listen to “For Crying Out Loud”. It’s my favorite.
Mine too
I love that one, too.
If I ever fall in love again, it will be to that song...
"Couldn't Have Said It Better" is a good one too. Great reaction!
If you like storytelling in music, there’s a band called Ludo who did an album called “Broken Bride”. It’s a 5 track, 30 minute rock opera about a man who loses the woman he loves and tries to travel through time to get her back. It’s freaking EPIC
The beauty and the beast. He was fantastic, I'm 60 and still love listening to his music.
Meatloaf is one of a kind , another great video is his Paradise by the dashboard light and or Bat out of Hell.
Gotta watch the speedometer when listening to ML!!!!!
The drama, the video, the storytelling or maybe it's just the motorbike - always reminds me of Celine Dion's All Coming Back To Me
I always think of the movie Fight Club (Meatloaf played Bob) when i hear his music.
Things Meat Loaf says he will never do in the song:
Lie to you
Forget the way you feel right now
Forgive myself if we don't go all the way tonight
Do it better than I do it with you
Stop dreaming of you every night of my life
See that it's time to move on
Be screwing around
Highly under rated singer. My husband introduced me to Meatloaf and I will forever be grateful. I miss them both. RIP my love and Meatloaf.❤
The woman who sung it with meat sings every year at our clubbing, always gets a no tickets left deal,I sat with her and told her and the band a music joke, she broke up with her husband and started working on a cruise ship, but she still finds time for the wee Dee Club in Dundee scotland
Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf are highly regarded as the masters of rock opera. Rest their souls!
Decades later and this song is so epic it still gives me goosebumps. Greetings from Mexico. ❤
Jim Steinman was a musical genius…he and Meat Loaf were one of the greatest tandems in recording history.
She sounds so much like Lita Ford or Bonnie Tyler. Love those raspy voices❤
He was in the original production of the play Hair. I was 16 when this came out. Yikes! I'm old😁
Me too. But ML and Steinman give me the ability to be 16 again, if only in 10 minute bursts…
