NOBODY is as loyal as an Iron Maiden fan...UP THE IRONS!!! 🤟
True dat! 🤟
Up the Irons 🔥🔥
Argentinian Nightwish fans may disagree but I am from The netherlands. Oh wait and than theire are The Swifties LOL
I must say too Floor jansen obviousily likes Iron Maiden too because she covered with After Forever "The Evil That Men Do"
Iron Maiden is one of the best Live Bands ever🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘👌
Iron Maiden is THE best live band.
@@ryanab01 you have Right👍👍👍👍👌💪🤘
Maiden 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
@@ryanab01 Have been for over 40 years, and going strong!! UP THE IRONS FOREVER!!
The best.
They are on my top 5. Rammstein is nr 1
Iron Maiden are storytellers. Their songs aren't just platitudes, their songs are always a tale. That's what separates them from many other bands.
I’ve said it once, but I can’t claim credit for this saying: Not only does Iron Maiden give awesome shows, but they leave you with a couple history lessons without having to go to school
Their songwritings, melodies, transitions, emotions, beauty, energy, power, epicness, dynamics, drama, and vigor are there and well-balanced at the same time, at least mostly!
wtf is a platitude? :PPP
@@AgenteusaRR platitude means any remarks or statements that have been used too often to be interesting or thoughtful.
Rime of the Ancient Mariner is an Iron Maiden song you absolutely need to check out.
That is must to watch show. Epic performance and storytelling. ( Flight666 DVD).
@@truthseeker4U2 Flight 666 or Live After Death versions are both great.
Brilliant song, awesome live too.
You read my mind. And, both performances are great, but the one from Flight 666 was epic!
Yes , Flight 666 , awesome.
Bruce Dickinson is one of the best vocal storytellers of all time. You can't miss with Iron Maiden live. This has become my favorite reaction that you've done.
...left alone his vocal range. Hasn´t missed a halfstep in the last 20+ years it seems
@@user-me1kf7fn4n Even without voice (ad Donnington, if I'm right) lol
'The Clansman' from the same Rock in Rio 2001 concert is a masterpiece, and Bruce's Cossack dance half way through the song, at that age, just has to be seen!
UP THE IRONS!!!🤘😎🤘
Best live version ever! Crowd of Rio de Janeiro always in the vanguard showing for the rest of the world how to do an incredible show. My Mom saw them at the first Rock in Rio, 1985, which 350,000 people attended and she loved it so much. I can't wait to take her to see them again this year in November.
Also, the moment you realize they are still performing like this into their 60s, which I am sure they will be rocking until the day that they aren't here anymore, shows you how amazing these guys are and are a true definition of what a legendary band should be.
Always preferred Flight 666 myself.
I grew up listening the Donington (92?) so it has a soft spot for me, but the Rock in Rio is a close second
Yep, Brazilian and Argentinian fans are passionate metal fans for sure. Megadeth "That one night in Buenos Ares is another example of a crazy good South American crowd.
I was also there in 1985... (51 now)
Brasil porra vamo, a gente sabe como fazer um show ser um show
This crowd was in Brasil, my country. So much proud ❤ Kisses from São Paulo Brasil (The city most fan of Iron Maiden, look Spotify numbers)
I've been following Iron maiden since they first started and haven't lost one ounce of enthusiasm for them.
The drummer, Nicko is one of the most respected and liked drummers in metal.
Always happy, hilarious and bubbly and a totally nice, down to earth bloke as well as a legendary drummer.
He's the hero of Nightwish drummer Kai Hato which is quite the fandom.
1982 was a fantastic year for Maiden but, honestly, 2000-2011 were some of Maiden's best live performances. Phantom of the Opera from Ullevi in 2005, Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner from Flight 666 in 2008, The Talisman from En Vivo in 2011, etc just some astounding live performances.
For bands with this kind of following , doing a show in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro in particular, is a monumental experience. Brazilians are passionate people, whether it be soccer, concerts, or “Carnaval”.
Few bands is better than Iron Maiden when you listen to them live..... it´s an incredible experiance that I am happy to have been able to be apart of
tell me one...? maximum new model army... or dio, rainbow, sabbath as one other band...
Better than Maiden? Who?
@@franciscoguimaraes534 Only QUEEN...
@@seelenwinter6662when it comes to live performances... Metallica.... they might be more or less even, but honestly, personaly I do like metallica better
@@franciscoguimaraes534 personal opinion, I will go with Metallica, since they are another band thats unrivaled when it comes to live performances.... Queen would be the best I guess tho
Maiden live never disappoints!Seen them 8 times,always awesome!UP THE IRONS!!!🤘
Iron Maiden are a force in themselves! They are rock gods, love them so much🎶🎶🥁🥁❤️ Love the reaction Stacey 🙂😎❤️
Iron Maiden is the greatest metal band of all time! And one of the greatest live bands also! They’ve built up a fan based on nothing but their albums and live shows. Never got any radio play! So it was all word of mouth from fan to fan! Incredible band.
I would love to see a reaction to a Live version of Rime of the Ancient Mariner! As Bruce once said “Rime was the closest thing we’ve ever done to an opera!”
One of the greatest. I don't mind putting Metallica there too, with Skorpions for nostalgic reasons lol
The Clansman, from the same concert, is even more intense! Ultra atmospheric! A must see!
Steve Harris (bass) wrote 'Fear of the dark' in 1992 from the album of the same name - their 9th studio album... Harris is one of the band's main composers and lyricist... and the tempo changes in his songs are a key feature of Iron Maiden tracks.
One of the biggest inspirations for Steve Harris was the British progressive rock band Yes, which had a reputation of making epic tracks w/ intricate arrangements and time changes in the 70's (Check out their classic songs - 'Roundabout' ... "I've seen all the good people"... by Yes)
Harris said he was intimidated by (late) bassist Chris Squire of Yes, who was a stellar musician, and thought he could never be that good at playing bass... Another inspiration was bassist Pete Way of the British rock band U.F.O. - Harris' style of playing bass was very similar to that of Pete Way.
There r Maiden songs that Steve Harris wrote that stay in one tempo ('Wrathchild' ... 'The Trooper' ... 'Aces high'...) but those r usually written by other members of the band... For example, Adrian Smith (guitar) wrote the music to songs like 'Wasted years' ... 'The evil that men do'... 'Flight of Icarus'... etc. Guitarist Dave Murray contributed the music to tracks like 'Deja-vu'... 'Twilight zone'...
Iron Maiden's more recent records have had more progressive and epic songwriting that challenged the band's musical abilities... and this was coming from the band's songwriters... Iron Maiden has still delivered amazing newer songs, like - 'The writing on the wall'... 'The red and the black' ... 'Dance of death'.
IRON MAIDEN TOUR:
The band will tour the US from Oct. 4 in San Diego, California... and ends on Nov. 17 in San Antonio, Texas... w/ concerts on the East and West Coasts... the Midwest and the South. The tour is called "Days of the future past Tour"... which is promoting their latest album 'Senjutsu'... and revisiting their 1986 album 'Somewhere in Time'.
Great reaction, Stacey. Now I think your next Iron Maiden reaction should be the song "Dance of Death".
Glad you came back to Iron Maiden Stacey. In the first clip you saw a different drummer, hos name was Clive Burr who died in 2013 due to ALS. He was forced to leave the band in 1982. Stay on the Maiden train, there are many songs to explore. Next I would suggest “Rime of the Ancient Mariner” it is based on a poem by by Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
Yes, absolutely! My recommendation is the Flight 666 version!
Maiden are one of the only bands of any genre that are better live than on an album AND get better as they get older.
I've seen Maiden a lot over the years, and you would think that people would be primarily singing along in the main crowd. It doesn't matter where you are. Merch table, concessions, even the bathroom.
Everyone who knows it is singing along. I get goosebumps just thinking about it.
The metal community in any concert we are brothers.
Iron Maiden concerts, we are Blood Brothers.
🤟🏼Up the irons 🤟🏼
Hello, I've just stumbled across your channel and enjoyed your reaction.
I'd like to say 3 things:
1. I grew up on 80's metal and yet never listened to Iron Maiden until a few years ago, and I've been very impressed with some of their music.
2. You mentioned the gym, and I almost always listen to Fear of the Dark while doing the treadmill. It really gets me pumped up.
3. You are exquisitely beautiful.
I have to admit, this was never a band I listened to regularly, but I have always respected how influential they are on music. SO many bands, from the 1980's on, wanted to BE Iron Maiden. They set a very high standard for them to strive for.
I feel the same way about Van Halen.
Obviously they were a phenomenal band but after the first two albums I lost interest real quick.
Your so correct. I used to hang out and drink with these guys back in the late 70s and early 80s in our local pub The Ruskin Arms. I must have seen them play there at least 30 times before they made the big time. I even played football with Stevie Harris for a local amateur team (Melbourne FC ⚽️ )and trust me he was as good at that as he is on the bass!!!! The best thing about Iron Maiden is that they were and STILL are the most humble guy's you could meet. Stevie still keeps in touch. Up the Irons ⚒️⚒️
How bout that! Cool. I've always had the notion there just a bunch of down to earth cool guys!
Welcome to the gang Stacey, you didn't need to tell us what your thoughts were, it was written allover your face throughout, you loved it 🤘❤🏴
All Iron Maiden songs have continuous rhythm changes. That's the beauty of their music. Bruce is a real industrial siren when he sings!
This performance was at Rock in Rio (2001), this show was so epic that they even made an entire album and a VHS of this show.
Iron forever forever Iron. Great reaction. 💯💥🤘❤️🇮🇹
How can anyone not instantly reach for the volume knob to crank it up!!!!
UP THE IRONS!!!!!
I love Sundays, Cause no one is home, and YES Maiden gets turned up to 11!!
UP THE IRONS!!
Saw these guys playing in the afternoon on a much smaller stage at a Danish festival and thought by myself:
"Hey, these old guys really still rock the stage!"
Did not expect them to be still that good at their age.
Made me have ALL respect as a musician for what they did.
Now, ehm, 30 YEARS later, they still f'ing rock the stage just as good!!!
Holy Shit! Crazy, right?
🙂
Yeah, they are really worth watching live. Highly recommended.
Best regards. Stacey. Like your reactions.
Lovely reaction. Waysted Years and The Trooper maybe will be your next Maiden songs?
UP THE IRONS!!!
You just have to see them live. This is much more than a concert. This is an almost religion experience Stacey ❤
One of the best heavy metal bands ever!! 🤘🤘
One of my favorite reactors on YT, reacting to one of the greatest songs ever made. Love it. Impossible to watch this performance without getting goosebumps.
WELCOME TO THIS IRON MAIDEN JOURNEY ....I GREW UP LISTENING TO THIS AMAZING BAND ...TROOPER WAS THE VERY FIRST SONG I LEARNED ON THE GUITAR WHEN I WAS 16 ...
Listening to "Seventh son of a seventh son" by Iron Maiden and reading heroic fantasy, the music of this album takes you far beyond the novel you are reading. 😉
Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son is my favourite album of all times. 🙌
UP THE IRONS!!!! Some of my best concert memories are from Maiden concerts. You picked a great live version of Fear of the Dark. Those South American fans are amazing.
"Infinite Dreams" live in 1988. This was Maiden's creative peak and they sounded incredible
Iron Maiden has always had awesome crowd interaction
Rime of the ancient Mariner - live after Death concert is the best performance ever!!
This was the first Iron Maiden concert I went to. Nineteen years old, 730 miles on a bus, the money was only enough to buy two beers and something to eat on the way back. Absolutely no regrets. The Clansman from the same concert is a masterpiece and I'm so grateful I was able to be there that day.
Fear of the Dark is my no1 favorite song. Ever and forever! The greatest song for a proper crowd reaction! Freakin love it!!!!
This is probably their most iconic live performance. People go crazy for this song and it’s clear why. This lineup is still the current lineup (even though this was filmed over 20 years ago now).
Really looking forward to witnessing your maiden journey, you have so much to discover!
I just saw them a year ago and they still nailed it.
@@RZK1966 same, saw them in June last year! Phenomenal performance.
People keep forgetting that Bruce Bruce is classically trained in music! I've been a Maiden fan since 1983 and i'm happy to see new Maiden fans appreciating Iron Maiden. Up the Irons!
You must watch Dance of Death live En Vivo, best performance off Bruce EVER 😊😊
This performance is from their Rock in Rio concert back in 2001
I've seen Iron Maiden multiple times in concert. And it's not like anything i've ever seen before. You MUST go see them live if you can! You'll never forget that experience. Thanks for another great reaction to my favorite band. 😊
You will not regret if you go see them in concert, when I go and see them, I always sit in the middle and about halfway up just to watch the crowd. It’s amazing.
Great reaction Stacey. I have seen Iron Maiden live 3 times. They are always spot on. I can recommend to see them by yourself.
I'm going to assume you meant FOR yourself because NO Maiden fan at a gig is EVER by themselves. We are brothers and sisters and we will never surrender!!
Iron Maiden! Hell yeah!!
They're one of the very best Heavy Metal bands of all time and the amout of influence they provided to so many artists and bands, it's actually insane!
I don't really know any band with such powerful, relevant, notorious and impressive bass and how it is so distinctive in every single of their songs.
Bruce is a true legend and icon as a vocalist and composer, not to mention how the remaining members are some of the very best ever!!!
I grew up listening to Iron Maiden almost every day for years! My parents absolutely love them so it was almost a ritual haha
Looking forward to more Iron Maiden songs, specially The Tropper which is my favorite one!
P.S.: The transitions on this song were properly matched by your facial expressions, they were surely in sync hehehe
Iv watched this reaction numerous times now and after only your second time seeing hearing them the genuine love and enjoyment on your face warmd my heart
I was at that concert. It was one of the best days of my life. What was said at the time was that there were 250,000 people in the audience. Nice reaction.
My suggestions for future reactions to the Maiden performances:
- Children of the Damned - Live Hammersmith
- Dance of Death - En Vivo
- Rime of the Ancient Mariner - Flight 666
- Infinite Dreams - Maiden England
"Hallowed Be Thy Name" came off of their 1982 album, "The Number to the Beast." "Fear of the Dark" came off their 1992 album of the same name. And it was Bruce Dickinson's last album with the band, until he rejoined in 1999/2000 to record their 2000 album "Brave New World." The headband wearing guitarist, Adrian Smith, who left after the 1988 album "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son" also rejoined the band with Bruce giving the band three guitarists because Janick Gers, the shaggy haired guitarist. The band's line-up has been consistent ever since 2000. So this line-up which is considered the classic line-up has been together longer in the last 25 years than any stretch of the original 80s. Janick, who was brought in as replacement for Adrian has actually been with the band the longest as he joined way back in 1989/90 to record 1990's "No Prayer for the Dying."
I’ve had the great pleasure of seeing them live quite a few times starting with the Powerslave tour in late ‘84 to the most recent Book of Souls tour in ‘22. Each concert is quite a grandiose experience. Not only is their music phenomenal, but they give you their all every single night.
Up the irons!
🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🎼🎼🎼🎸🎸🎸
I've helped the lads sing this one a few times. One of the best live bands ever.
Their songwritings, melodies and the transitions are so intriguing, influential, beautiful, emotional, energetic, powerful, dynamic, epic, well-balanced, very unique, rare, and very interesting at the same time, they have it all, at least mostly +/-
So glad you are enjoying your journey through the catalog of Iron Maiden. And bravo for all the live performances. That’s the best way to experience Iron Maiden.
Nice to see how you like this video. It is a good idea to watch the band live. They always play older and newer songs at a concert. So you will get more impressions of their variability. If you wonder how Bruce is doing nowadays, at the age of 65, you should watch one of his newest solo videos called „Rain on the Graves“ on his UA-cam channel. You‘ll like it. Greetings from Germany.
If you liked the crowd performance, make sure to check out Blind Guardian - The Bard's Song & Valhalla - Live at Wacken Open Air 2016. another gem
Yeeeeah! Do more Maiden! 🌻
Would love to see a reaction to The Talisman (live). It's an underrated gem out of a long catalogue of classics!
Definitely!
They still sound that good too. Saw them just before covid, and it was the best concert ive ever seen. And ive been to so many i lost count
(Just another) GREAT BRITISH BAND. (My first IRON MAIDEN concert was in 86) I'm still a big fan.
- I did also like Paul Andrews "Paul Di'Anno" from the first album "IRON MAIDEN" 1980 💪👊🤘
Have to do 'The Clansman' from the same concert. Even better! Bruce's energy is awesome 😎
i agree was my favorite song from this show!!!
I suggest you "The Trooper" En Vivo Chile 2012 😊
This show happened during Rock In Rio. I'm brazilian, I was there. It was incredible. Thanks for reacting to, Stacey
This is not from 1985
One of the best stadium 🏟 rock bands ever
🤘😎🤘
It's a totally immersive experience
Love it!
More Iron maiden please!!😊
As someone already wrote, "The clansman" is another great live performance.
Great Reaction Stacey ! I think you will love the official video of THE TROOPER. It's one of the greatest hits. UP THE IRON'S ! 🤘🏼😀
Singer Bruce Dickinson has a commercial pilots license and he flies the band's jet on tours.
Not anymore, just saw an interview for his new solo album, said he's gotten too old for the certification. Still cool he flew Ed-Force One for 30 years.
@@TheChromescorpion
Too bad, in the early 2000's he used to have a show on BBC where he got to test fly new airliners. Saw him do a barrel-roll in a giant Airbus jet (no passengers).
@@victorjohnson7512 He can still fly smaller aircraft, just that there is an age limit on heavy aircraft. I saw that show.
I was privileged to see them live in a London pub in the 80s . Still makes me feel young 😊
Fun Fact: everyone thinks the song's name is Fear Of The Dark but its actual name is Fear Of The Duck and it's about a phobia called Anatidaephobia, which is... fear of ducks. 😉
bruce is a great storyteller. i recommend "dance of death - en vivo!" for the next time. bruce is even older, but continues killing it. and the crowd is amazing too.
I can't remember ever hearing a crowd "singing" along with a guitar solo! Lol Maiden has some of the most passionate fans AROUND THE WORLD, not just in English speaking countries.
You're gonna love Dance of Death from the En Vivo concert!
STACEY... YOUR HOOKED 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Loving your reactions to Maiden
Seen them last year.. And DAMN they don't ever slow down !!!
Can I recommend DANCE OF DEATH (EN VIVO)
Purely for the theatric STORY TELLING 😉
What a joy to watch you react to this! I'm so excited that you have discovered this band. There is truly no other band like them that can deliver like they can for as long as they have. I can't wait for your next song! You have sooooo many to choose from. Dance of Death from En Vivo is an absolute classic live performance. It will blow you away!
True artists! Unmatched talent. 💪☝️🤘
Iron Maiden, are masters of their craft !
Good ol'days when smartphone was not invented, pure uplifting joy at a concert :) this concert is a classic in every music genre, godlike performance.
Yes, the idea of seeing them live is definitely worth every sacrifice. Irony is not my number 1, but the way they sound live and how wonderful their audience is blew me away. I definitely recommend it
I was at that concert. It even became a DVD. The atmosphere was insane throughout the entire show. It was a perfect Iron Maiden performance. 🇧🇷
Awesome in concert especially just getting back from a deployment felt at home
So glad you found Rockin' Rio to react. I found this concert on MTV Live or VH1 back in the day. I'd heard Iron Maiden but never seen a concert video. Holy Smokes, this is one great show. Bruce flyin' and jumpin' around the stage, the guy is amazing - the whole band is amazing. Any band around for 40+ years ya have to respect and these guy's have earned everything they have.
The Rime of The Ancient Mariner from the flight 666 tour, Paschendale from the Death on the Road tour and Where the Wild Winds Blow, and The Trooper form the Envivo Tour, may give you an idea of the masterfull composition since 1975 to the present!
A great live band to react to would be Queensryche, from when they performed in Japan - Take Hold Of The Flame or The Lady Wore Black.
Geoff Tate is another level singer.
Listening to Iron Maiden for the first time is like listening to music for the first time. It changes you forever.
🤘Saw The Irons last year .... absolutely awesome performance by one of the best British metal bands ever 🤘
Kudos, Stacey!
Excellent reaction.
Keep up the nice work/channel.
It would be the best show you'll ever see. You have to experience it. It's life changing. I took my kids as their fist concert and it still remains their favorite. I have seen them many time and will never miss a show. Up The Irons!!!!
You could pull up a video from any live show they've ever done anywhere in the world, and the crowd is always like this. This band gives them everything they've got every time, and the crowd return the favor every time.
METAL IS FAMILY!!

The band that got me into Metal when I was a kid, seen them multiple times live and they still sound amazing now approaching 70
One of the greatest & longest standing bands of old school British Metal.
It’s great to see younger generations being introduced to bands like this & appreciating their music as we do.
I purchased my first maiden album in 1987 & have been a huge fan since.
UP THE IRONS!! 🤘🏻
Seeing them live was a night to remember
OMG! I love this!
First video..."never heard their music before..."
Second video...."hey, y'all ever met my BFF Bruce?" 😂😂😂😂 Thank you for this. It's funny, you are just finding them and a lot of us are like.."yeah, we know. We figured this shit out 40 years ago" Thank you! More Maiden videos! ❤❤❤❤❤
Great reaction, heart felt. Iron Maiden one of the best rock bands of all time in my opinion, along with Metallica.
Yes please do catch them if you have the chance. These guys are in their 70’s and still are great live.
