I don't think Maiden gets enough credit for how incredible they, and their fans, are. I've seen them many times and it's always amazing. They can push through 2-3-4 hours of songs and everybody just goes wild with it. Crowds are always chanting and singing along with their songs with a gleam in their eyes and the band never fails to deliver. Most people think that Metallica is the greatest rock/metal band of that age, but I really beg to differ. If I were to name the greatest heavy metal band of all time, this is it.
Bruce has long been a great frontman and his voice is amazing! You can never go wrong with Iron Maiden. Just an fyi this lead singer is also their pilot and flies them around in their own Iron Maiden airplane!

I got to see Maiden at a place called 'The Point' in Dublin, Ireland during the 'Dance of Death' tour and the first of three songs for the encore was 'Fear of the Dark'. The place was already crazy but when the lights dropped and the beat started up the place literally erupted. It was one hell of a glorious night that got even better when they played 'Run to the Hills' next and ended with 'Number of the Beast'. This version of this song is the first experience I ever had of iron maiden. Fell in love with them and been in live with them ever since. That was over 20 years ago now when I was about 7 years old. Since then, been fortunate enough to have seen them 7 times. Welcome to the family, brother
Iron Maiden is phenomenal , I saw Them a few years ago and it was a great experience. I've been listening to maiden since I was 8 years old I love their music .
Rock in Rio is prety much the only place every rock band dreams of playing on. The crowd is basically half of the city because the sound goes miles away, usually +/- 300k people for several days
I first heard these guys when I was six years old and never went back. I like a lot of music but Iron Maiden was a definite crossroads for me. Glad you enjoyed them!
Iron Maiden is my all time favorite Rock n Roll Heavy Metal Band. I started listening to them in the late 70's. I was about 13. This video was from the early 2000's I think but they're still doing World Tours. They just don't put out a new album and just finished tour dates all over Europe and several shows in Brazil. They are now touring here in the United States. I have tickets to see them in a few months in Columbus, Ohio. It will be the 8th time I've seen them live. These guys are closing in on 70 years old and they still do 2 hour live shows. Greatest Heavy Metal Band EVER in my opinion.
Anyone who has not seen Iron Maiden's Rock in Rio videos as well as Japan, well..... pretty much everywhere. It is a freaking Spiritial experience. Millions of people screaming, chanting and I've seen my fair share of grown men just break down crying when they came on stage in Rio!!! Sooooo incredible.

This is the music that I grew up with in the 80’s. Super great musicianship, no auto tune, these bands made their bones in front of huge audiences. You had to bring it. 😊
I was at rock in rio, we arrived at 3pm just to hear iron maiden, fear of the dark played almost at 3am, best show of my life, see live the 3 best guitars in the world together playing iron maiden's anthem
Did see them 2 weeks ago at Tons of Rock festival in Oslo, Norway. I was very afraid of Bruce Dickinson's voice since he had a throat cancer surgery since last time I did see them. But he did it. Longtime Iron Maiden fan here but I only saw them for the first time a few months ago. Bruce Dickinson is 64 and ran around like a madman, that band gives what they have each show. Steve Harris (bassist) and Dickinson did their absolute damndest to get everybody in the crowd involved. Reaction request: EPICA - Consign To Oblivion - Live at the Zenith (OFFICIAL VIDEO).
