Singer, songwriter, Airplane pilot, world class fencer and all around badass!
doctor of history oxford uni forgot that
@@user-rz1vx9jw1r dude survived and beat throat (!) cancer and still belts like that
Also: best selling author and entrepreneur. If there ever was a guy, he is it.
also novelist, writes articles, wrote an autobiography, businessman.
Also Beer brewer ;-)
Pop singers lip-synch entire shows because they can't dance in place while singing. Bruce sprints around the stage in his 60s while blasting out songs. UP THE IRONS! 🤘😝
And then he pilots the band’s 747 to their next gig 😂
Exactly, there are wannabees and then there are professionals. Damn shame today's crowds can't tell the difference and could care less.
Ntm Bruce has overcome throat cancer and can still sing like that.
And down the hops!
@@vickestr794That's the most important part lol
Saw them in 88 and they still have as much energy today as they did back then, still a band no other can touch!
I was at the show that kicked off that tour. Still the best concert I have been to.
@@andyreid6826 Saw that tour in Phoenix! Soooo great! Seventh Son!
Me too. Whitley Bay ice rink just outside of Newcastle. November 88. First ever gig. Was only 12.
@@david75nufc99 Moncton, Canada here. I graduated high school that year.
@@andyreid6826 still one of my favourite gigs. Unforgettable 👍
confirmo, up the iron
!!
siiii este año 2024 llevaré a mi hija de 12.....a verlos.... :)
He is the BEST storyteller. In fact most Maiden songs are a story, adventure or a history lesson. Keep'em coming.
Dio was
Bruce was almost 53 back then in 2011 😂 I'm not even 47 yet and I'm sweating blood just from watching that guy running around and still being able to sing
I'm chilean and have been in 2 concerts, 2009 (aguante los que nos sacamos la cresta en la acequia) and 2019. Iron Maiden never dissapoints and in Chile we really love them: every concert sold out, entire generations (grandparents, little kids, i have seen even 2-3 y/o kids with their parents 😂) singing and jumping and headbanging. Next year i will be going with my daughter (13 y/o) and my little bro (15 y/o) for their first and my third concert. UP THE IRONS!
I love it, enjoy the show! Bruce's oldest is 33, I'm way too old, but I WISH Bruce was MY GRANDPA. 🤘
I first saw them around age 12-13 World Slavery Tour they are amazing
Bruce is one of the best Frontmen ever & Fear if tge Dark is one of the greatest crowd participation songs that really makes tge live experience something Bruce & Maiden excel at. Looking forward to seeing them in Sept '24! Up tge Irons!
Great reaction. If you want more storyteller Bruce check "Dance of death" live from en vivo. The most theatrical performance by Bruce
Thank you for watching and for the suggestion! I'll be sure to check it out!
But do the original tour instead, Death On The Road...it's the best live version of that song
No. The most theatrical is from en vivo. I'm not talking about costumes.
He was not being theatrical on En Vivo, he was trying to be funny and ended up goofy, which was unnecessary to the song
They are so popular in South America that they have thousands of fans outside their hotels on every day of every tour!
I'm 28 years old, my dad got me into Iron Maiden as a kid. Already bought tickets for their 2024 tour. Will be my 5th time seeing them live!
I'm 72, been a rocker all my life, this show is one of my favs. Any band who's been around 40+years and still sells out concerts all over the world has earned the respect from any music lover. These guys never take their foot of the gas pedal. They're all excellent musicians and Bruce - there's only one Bruce. Iron Maiden is pure 100% FUN
Bruce rocks. Pilot, Rocker.
I was there that night in Santiago, Chile and IT WAS AMAZING!!!! His vocals were out og this world!!!
Chileans have an unconditional love story with Iron Maiden, and they are also very crazy.
Greetings from Chile :D
By the way, next year I'll see them live in Santiago again!
Iron Maiden has been my favorite band since I was 12 (back in '84). I remember when this album was released, a lot of fans in my part of the U.S. (the South) didn't really like it that much for whatever reason. This particular song immediately became one of my favorites though, so I'm always happy to see how much love this song gets now!!
Great reaction as always!! Its always great to hear your thoughts, and you're so enjoyable to watch.
Maiden and Rachel. What a combo. so fun to see.
Iron Maiden, one of the few things that boomers, gen-X, millennials, and gen Z all enjoy together. I first heard of them in 2003 when I had a summer job as a kitchen aide in a school when I was 15. One of the janitors was telling one of the teachers about getting tickets for a Iron Maiden concert so I went home, powered up Limewire and started downloading.
I can only dream of having this much energy when I get to be as old as these guys are here. Legends, still tight as hell.
I'd settle for that much energy now :)
i have watched a lot of reactions to Iron Maiden, the one thing i have not seen stated, is how the energy transfer is prolly the key. Iron Maiden loves their fans, and the fans love them. When you see and hear the whole audience singing to them, THAT is what charges the band to give 1000% back.
So true. Maiden are just incredible.
Absurd talent & wielded in this amazing, cohesive way.
fue maravilloso ese concierto !!! Una maravilla Iron Maiden y su presentación !! Santiago de CHILE AMAZING !!
Iron maiden a maior banda de heavy metal de todos os tempos viva o iron e o Bruce
i can't believe bruce's voice is still this amazing. 😳
Be me
Solo opening shift at a pub in Norway
Just done prepping the kitchen and putting down the stools and chairs
Elderly chap in rugged jeans and jacket, a leather cowboy hat, and carrying a backpack, holding a map, peering through the door
"Oi, mate, you serve English breakfast?"
"Of course, come on in and I'll start it for you"
Thinking while in the kitchen: "There's something familiar about this guy..."
Come out with the food and almost drop the plate as I realize it's Nicko McBrain
I must have done a half decent job, the "entire" Iron Maiden tour crew came a bit later, and stayed at the pub all day and night :P (The band was playing in the city the next day)
16 times I've seen Maiden live, from 1982 to 2022 and they just keep getting better. No one puts on a better show.
Seen them 4 times.
There are fans and then there are iron maiden fans!
Bruce = Olympic standard fencer, airline pilot amongst other things
Iron Maiden and a pair of headphones got me through some tough times.... I will love them until I die
Man! Iron Maiden! Nuff said. Great reaction!
For theatric story telling you have to see
"Dance of Death" and
"When The Wild Wind Blows"
From the same show !! Simply mind blowing
well as a 52 year old brit i have seen them live 33 times to date after this years tour and there still the best live band on the planet. it will be a sad day when the Irons retire. they will leave a huge hole in my life
Fear of the Dark live = instant chills. For me there is no studio version
He is a storyteller love from india🤘🤘
He actually qualified (Bruce) for the GB Olympic fencing team....so he is very fit also a pilot that used to fly the band in their own 747...so yeah.
I was there in that concert 13 years ago!!! That was an amazing concert and it was hot as hell!!!!
Have seen Maiden many times live and the crowd interaction & energy is just always so good... you can't help but lose yourself in the show... already have my tickets for 2024!
Chicago! :)
Las Vegas. Maiden show # 30.
@@timmorin2304Enjoy! :)
I was waiting for this reaction 🤘
I LOVE IT!!! I really enjoyed this video!
I believe that back in the days of "The Napster Wars" where Metallica looked at the illegal sharing data and decided to sue their fans, Maiden also looked at the data, saw a huge amount of piracy in South America and decided that they could sell A LOT of concert tickets and tour shirts there
I have seen them loads of times they are absolutely awesome live so much energy
No autotune ! Pure talent
Modern "Band" Concerts = Open a new can of the same show. Old School Lgends = You get a REAL performance. I was lucky enough to experience a Pink Floyd Show when i was a young boy. My parents took me with them that night. Even i was just 5 or 6 yrs old back then. It set the stage for me HOW and WHY i enjoy music till today.
Jako lepo reaguje na ovu pesmu. Pozdrav lopojko ❤
2 words for them "sheer perfection"
Iron Maiden are absolute MASTERS at time signature/key changes.
I read that in prep for a tour that he runs while singing all the songs planned for the tour. Also, let's not forget the fans at this show. South American fans are insane in the best way. I'd love to go to a show there sometime.
I was there😍and it was my birthday ... what an experience was that concert
(Yes, Bruce ran the whole show🤣)
Welcome back beautiful Ray
Bruce is an entire vibe. Legend! Great video love to see the OG’s getting love.
I just saw them at Power Trip in October. They are amazing!
this is incredible live, he gets the crowd going!
One of the best reactions to Iron Maiden I've seen in a while!! Up the Irons R O R H 🤘🔥🤘🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇
My absolute favourite Maiden song is When the Wild Wind Blows and I would love to see you react to it
I was literally just remembering that song this morning. Amazing track off an amazing disc.
Nice reaction! I'd suggest Dance Of Death from them, live as well :)
Another great reaction. I was lucky enough to see them a few times and they keep getting better. Bruce Dickinson is a master storyteller. Keep up the great work.
Very underrated band, they are amazing
Don't forget, the guitarists Steve, Adrian, David and Janick are also running about and dancing whilst playing, not missing a single note.
Record label says "You can't have 3 guitarists!" Maiden says "We're IRON Fk'n MAIDEN watch us! Hold our Beer!
Saw them a little over a month ago and the singing this with the crowd was a life changing experience!
Not like Chile 😬🤧
If you wanna see Bruce's story telling, check out "Dance of Death" from this same show.
Great reaction and they are still as tight as ever.
May I recommend When the wild wind blows
These guys are all nearing 70 now, saw them a couple of months back and they were awesome! 🤘🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
FYI, Iron Maiden is the GREATEST(live;)BAND in the world now and forever🤘
Welcome to the Maiden family. You won't be disappointed, as they are even more impressive 👏
Up the mighty Irons🤘🤘🤘🤘
For more of his story telling check out Dance of Death (also En Vivo) or Rime of the Ancient Mariner
Saw them some years ago in Dortmund. Bruce is transmitting so much energy to the audience... You can not imagine.
Saw them at the O2 few months ago and they were amazing as always . They played this and it was epic Bruce's voice was phenomenal, it was a day of nightmare traveling missed coach etc etc but made the gig and worth it 🤘
That’s the power of Iron Maiden. Worldwide. For decades.
i still cant belive that i've seen them in live, Rio de Janeiro - Brazil 2013, and i was just 12yo! they're amazing for sure.
Loved her reaction, wish i could listen to her singing
love thanks!!!!
Seen Maiden twice, fantastic band and show..
Always great to see reactions to Maiden, and I liked your analysis too. Depending on what you're more interested in seeing, but for more of Bruce's theatrical approach you could check Dance of Death from this same concert, or for a song where he is entirely focused on the vocal performance, then The Talisman from this concert is a very good choice.
When u was at high school I Rock this Song, love IM
Up with Irons. Great review.
*If you think they're this good just watching a video of them, you should go see them LIVE if you ever have the chance. I finally got to see them here at the BOK center here in Tulsa Oklahoma, September 15th 2022. They were PHENOMENAL. My 23 year old daughter came with me and she was blown away too. They were, without a doubt, the greatest band I've ever seen*
Saw them in 1983 in Frankfurt Germany best concert ever!!!
Saw them last September. Bruce still has it. 110% from beginning to end of the show.
Iron maiden is an awesome band and a great show saw them in vegas and a few other times and was wired for days afterwards.
Iron Maiden has concerts in countries that other bands have never even heard of. they go to countries where english isnt even a second or third language and the people there can sing their songs in english....Bruce has said that he roller skates around singing his songs to build stamina
I believe whe Bruce is rehearsing for a tour he roller skates while he sings.
Can’t wait to see them - again - next year.
Make sure you get to see them live. Such a great atmosphere.
They're on tour in the US next year! Get your tix! Amazing experience!!!
Love this band to my core, plus ur ambience, truly heartwarming
Everytime i hear this great song i imagine Bruce singing "Fear of the Duck" LOL
Ttheir music gives me serious energy! Recently I've been addicted to October Ends ' new song. Reacting to it would be awesome 🤘
Great reaction and I expected nothing less 🤘🏻! You already got a lot of suggestions for Maiden, so I'd like to add Ayreon 'Into the black hole' the studio version with Bruce on vocals. For the live shows he was not available unfortunately. If you are interested, at the Ayreon Universe concert Tommy Karevik from Kamelot took his part and he delivered 🎸🤘🏻.
I LOVE Maiden!
I remember listening to this one the radio as a kid, in like 2009 or something. It was the first song I heard that wasn't standard lenght and I thought it was so epic 🤭
I know I'm a couple weeks late, but as to Bruce singing while running: i read that prior to a tour, in order to make sure he is in shape, he would put the setlist on an ipod and roller-blade around his driveway while singing the setlist.
If you want even more energy watch him opening the Rio concert with Wicker Man absolutely outstanding...energy plus.
This was in my country, love it so much.
Love how into it you are! Haven't seen this performance before, another great live Iron Maiden video. You should check out The Trooper from Live in Rio. It's a bit older, vintage Bruce.
One of the BEST BANDS IN THE WORLD OBVIOUSLY
That video is From Santiago Chile!!!!! AWESOME MEMORIES!!!
and a cancer survivor too. My son has informed me he's already bought tickets for us to see Maiden (3rd time together) in Denver next October = can't wait.
50 years on the road
Great reaction. Love the crazy South American metal fans. They are so passionate and amazing. Bruce's exaggerated movements are so that even folks in the back of the venue can see him.
I've noticed that too, not just metal though. The fans are insane for Aurora too. If I was in a world renowned band I'd be like "man, do we have to play Jersey again? Can't we just go to Brazil, Chile, Argentina, etc???". 😁
If you want more Maiden and storytelling, you gotta check Dance of Death. And you want storystelling and epic AF, Rime of the Ancient Mariner.
OH, MATE ! maiden back in the day were amazing just check out that crowd HELL YEAH bring it on.
Back in the day? Maiden is still amazing live!
