1st time I went to an Iron Maiden show was THE best experience of my life. Everyone there is respectful and it feels like a family. Definitely worth going
Im a lifelong Maiden fan, first show in 1983, and now up to 31 shows, with 2 more coming this year in Japan. No better band live, best fans, and they give 100%
I love Iron Maiden, I saw them live twice, in 2013 and last year, last year I managed to be in the front row, standing in one place from morning to 9 p.m., one of the best live bands, still despite their age
That is why every Maiden Fan wants the live versions of their favorite songs.Cause they are fu$%ing amazing to watch!Always high energie, always having fun to play, always flawless!I'm a Maiden Fan for over 36 years now, have seen them 7 times live and they never let you down!Absolute Pros and an absolute Legend! There is no better band than Maiden on this planet,so please do more of them!UP THE IRONS!!🤘
You hit the nail on the head when you said it doesn’t matter how old you are because we can still rock Rob Halford is 72 years old he still rocking with you Judas Priest. Klaus Mein from the Scorpions is 75. Brian Johnson from AC/DC is 76 and he still rocking and making albums with AC/DC. Heavy metal doesn’t end till you die And get your ass to a concert !
Numerous great Melodies, numerous great emotions, sentimentality, beauty, drama, epicness, power, boldness, vigor, dynamics, excitement, great arrangements all at once in most songs, and that’s their signature, and that’s unique and rare!!!
Maiden regularly tour the UK so you should definitely go see them. The live show is stellar! Maiden are one of those rare bands who just keep getting better. We need more Maiden on the channel Moll \m/
This is every Iron Maiden concert Maiden fan since 1982 here and they are one of the best most enjoyable bands to go see You would love the shows even if you don't know the music
6:54 always makes me chuckle as Bruce shouts "I can't f***ing hear you" as 60,000 fans are screaming the guitar melody at him. But as soon as he says that you can hear them up the volume like "okay you want more? We have more" and Bruce knows it as well. Absolutely amazing fans and amazing crowd control as always from the whole Maiden family.
Maiden is the shit, absolutely legit. They were my first concert back in 1985 at Long Beach Arena during the Worl Slavery Tour. Blew my minf and set the bar so high. Since then I've seen every metal, punk, hard rock, country, funk, soul and everything in between. From Metallica, Priest, Slayer, Danzig to Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Pink Floyd, Paul McCartney, Queen, Joe Strummer, The Pogues, Tom Waits Nick Cave, Auroa, Bowie, NIN on and on, really too many to list. Still, Maiden after all these years more than 15 shows later, they still are the best that there is. Up the Irons!!!
I love hearing the crowd on this one who aren’t in an English speaking country to begin singing all the lyrics and singing along with the guitars just get me every time! I also love the band always seems like they’re just out there having a blast every night!
Imagine in 1983 i was 17 years old kid coming home from the store with my new vinyle piece of mind and the shoke I got when I put on the trooper. 6 months later i saw my first iron maiden show at the old Montreal forum. I still remember
Always do live Iron Maiden reactions. They are an amazing band that are even better live than in the studio! Love the songs off En Vivio & Flight 666. Dickinson is one of the greatest vocalists and he flies the jet between shows in Flight 666!
Me bought this album in 1992, and it catches me, with my 17 years......... Now 32 years later, they catch you............ But this song did not grow older, I heard it maybe for 1000 times, and it didn`t become boring, cause you feel the energie..... Two years ago, me saw them for the first time live, all bandmembers past the sixties, but they played as fresh as in the 80ties........ that is so fucking awesome...... if u want to be on place were magic happens, stay in a Maidencrowd....
This was my uncle’s favourite band, he taught himself how to play guitar old school by listening to them on a record or tape, he’d listen, pause the song then play. Thing is he was practically deaf in one ear and could barely hear out of the other, but he ended up playing really good
i saw maiden 14 times, every maiden concert day is a "feiertag" for me. last year i saw them in the 02 arena in london. it was a dream for me and the best concert in my life....😍 (this untypical setlist was amazing)
I love maiden iv seen them so meny times live in the uk they are the longest running metal band still rocking out live and releasing new music and albums one off the best live songs was rime of the Ancient Mariner you wouldn't think that the lead singer Bruce dickson had throut cancer and can still rock like he does today!!!
As someone that has been to hundreds of concerts let me say there is nothing like the energy that circulates throughout the arena when your favorite band is on stage, performing your favorite songs and your surrounded by like minded fans and you are all singing along in unison with the band. It's why I keep coming back.
Maiden was my first concert when I was 13..Saw them 30 years later..and they still kick major ass!! May I suggest Bring your Daughter to the Slaughter??😁
Ok, Crash-course on Iron Maiden They were founded in the early 1980s (though all of the original lineup were playing in other bands prior to that). The first two albums, entitled "Iron Maiden" and "Killers" feature Paul DiAnno on vocals. He is an incredible singer, and those first two albums, while distinctly "metal" had a very "late-70's English punk underground" tone to them, so they are a bit different than the rest. After that, Bruce Dickinson, formerly of Samson stepped in as the lead vocalist. His voice is amazing (next level), he's who you're reacting to today. He's more theatrical, so clearer diction to his words, more spoken-word sections, and his breath control is amazing. He can hold a note at a full belt for eons, lol. His stage presence is second to none. Then in the early 90s, Bruce stepped away to focus on his solo albums. Blaze Bailey, formerly of Wolfsbane, stepped in as the singer. He's also quite good, but the least favorite of the three in the eyes of most fans. Bruce and Paul are tough acts to follow. His best songs with Maiden are "Virus" and "The angel and the gambler". After his departure, Bruce returned and has been their lead ever since. Steve Harris, their bassist and the original founding member is a legend as well. He is to Bassists what Neil Peart and Keith Moon are to drummers. The dude has flawless timing. The rest of the members have changed up over the years, though many have had multiple decade stints with the band. They went from one to two to three guitarists. Adrien Smith has been in it for the long haul, and collaborated on most every other member's solo releases at one point or another. He's tragically underrated, but his sound is distinct... kind a like how if you hear Angus from AC/DC play one note, you immediately know it's AC/DC... same thing here. You can recognize a track as being from Iron Maiden with the first guitar chord, it's a unique and iconic sound. Iron Maiden is the biggest Metal band globally. They use catchy rhythms and very simple lyrics, so they have a massive following of people outside the English Speaking world, especially South America and Asia, markets other bands just can't penetrate. It's just more accessible. _____________ Given your musical Background and your other reactions, I would not have chosen this song as your introduction to the band. I would have started you with something from the DiAnno years. "Phantom of the Opera" is a great track to start on. It has no relation to Andrew Lloyd Webber's play of the same name, it actually predates it by 5-6 years. For Bruce, I'd suggest "Hallowed be thy name" and "Number of the Beast", as well as "Empire of the Clouds". Honestly, as awesome as he is, he's better in his solo work, fewer commercial constraints. Check out the Title Track to his album "The Chemical Wedding", or "Tattooed Millionaire" or "Bring your daughter to the slaughter" (written for the Nightmare on Elm St. franchise). For Blaze's stuff, I like "Como Esta Amigos" and "The Clansman" (inspired by the movie Braveheart). These are not necessarily the "best" (most iconic) tracks, but they showcase different aspects of the band and how it's evolved over the years. This is a very prolific band that's had 40+ years to release albums, so there are hundreds of songs. This list is intended to be a well rounded sample rather than a "greatest hits" list. And if you haven't seen Maiden live, you haven't lived. Even the recorded live shows pale in comparison to actually being there. The crowd is as much a part of the show as the band is. The Zombie-looking dude (their mascot) is called Eddie. And he was featured in a video game in the mid 90s, called "Ed Hunter", a Doom-style shooter set to Iron Maiden music.
Iron Maiden studio versions are good-great. Maiden live... Something else entirely!!! At their live shows they say that there aren't any "fans" there. If you are in a live crowd, you are one of the band & almost expected to join in. Dance of Death, at En Vivo is honestly one of the most impressive performances you'll see. How does Bruce run about on stage, leap about on stage, & keep singing while he does this?!?
First time I saw Iron Maiden was back in 1985 and I was 12 and my older brother took me and my best friend to see Iron Maiden with their POWER SLAVE TOUR 🤘 I still have my ticket stub with the ticket price of $25 but to me it's PRICELESS 🤘 UP THE IRONS 🤘
I've seen Iron Maiden live in concert at least 5 times since the mid 90's and honestly they've NEVER disappointed me,not even once.Their shows are sooo Charged with energy and sound and Bruces vocals have always been top notch. His range is freaking phenomenal and he has SO MUCH POWER to his voice!! He's always in tune, and has immaculate precision with his ability to switch up from singing to chanting to screaming is flawless!! One of the top 3 metal vocalists I've seen live imo...the other 2 would be Geoff Tate from Queensryche and although I'd say Maynard from Tool or even Rob Halford of Judas Priest are up there Steven Tyler of Aerosmith is my last top 3 favorite vocalist live, and before you kill me for not saying that technically Aerosmith isn't Metal, its ROCK so I count it even though its not really a METAL group....seriously the man had pipes of a true LEGEND!so ya,this man....Bruce is on a god like tier vocally for me personally. Not to mention the BAND freaking SLAYS it...they are also quiet impressive and incredible as well!!! Iron Maiden ROCKS!!!!!!!🎶❤✌
Iron Maiden, junto con Metallica son mis bandas favoritas, esta presentación fue en mi pais y tuve el privilegio de haber asistido, buen video muchacho.
Always do live versions whenever available for Iron Maiden. They're as good live as they are on record, plus you get the energy exchange between the band, and the audience. The band is even more animated now than they were back in the 80's when I first saw them.
I saw them in concert for the first time around 1986 or 87. They killed it back then, and are still killing it today. If you want to see the ultimate metal show crowd - check out Blind Guardian "Bard's Song / Valhalla" at Waken. Boss level crowd interaction
I saw them in Tulsa, Oklahoma, about a year or so ago. They played this song. Nothing like being there live. Dude, if you EVER get the chance to see them. GO!!!
Speaking as someone who has been in a band that were touring and heard a crowd sing every word of the song you are playing is a crazy experience, and in my case it was 300 people not 10k, 20 K etc loool also to continue the scaling down in my case, I was playing to a crowd in Glasgow, (I am from Bristol) so it was still far enough for it to be more than a local thing....but going to Chile and having that many peeps singing along must be one hell of an experience
1991 age 14 is when I started down the rock rabbit hole. the 80's hair bands were way in the back ground and still are for me. As I got older I began digging deep into the pass of rock music. I still have a hard time enjoying the 80's hair bands... late 60's, 70's, 90's and early 2000's rock is my cup of tea. I just can't do the 80's and don't know why.... Love following your rock journey
Iron Maiden is one of my bucket bands. Missed them every time they've been to California. I did get to see my first bucket band , Black Sabbath, 9 years ago. Maidens first 2 albums were with a different lead singer, Paul Di'Anno. Very different vocal sound but the music is still very much Maiden. SENJUTSU their last studio album, came out in 2021 and sounded great. Up the Irons my friends. If you get the chance to see them don't miss out. All of our favorite 80's bands are getting up in the age \m/
Thanks MollyBoy. Maiden are my favourite band and have been since '82. Love yer honesty and the fact that you keep wanting to keep expanding and exploring yer musical journey. If you want something a wee bit different from what Maiden usually bring, you should try THE TALISMAN from EN VIVO or JOURNEYMAN from DEATH ON THE ROAD. UP THE IRONS! 🤘🏻🇬🇧🖤

Live Maiden cannot be replicated in the studio. All time top 3 band for me.
Live version! Preparing to sing along! Looking forward to this
I saw them in Tulsa, Oklahoma, about a year or so ago.
Another great reaction. Iron Maiden is an all time favorite from back in the day! 👍
I'm going to see Iron Maiden again in October. With my favourite mate
Me too. Tacoma Oct 16th with my best mate as well. It will be my first time.
Without doubt the metal band with the largest choir...
Dude! Seeing Maiden as your first concert would be epic! They never disappoint🤘🏻😎 As for studio albums, Piece of Mind is metal magic in every track and you’ll be addicted😆
what a performance! F.I.R.E.!🤘😎
So true, Maiden always attract new fans, these guys are in their 60s, Nicko(Drummer) is 71! They still put out this level of energy to this day.

Great reaction! If you want more maiden I strongly recommend seventh son of a seventh son. It’s a great epic with some of their best guitar work ever. Up the irons!
