I agree great value for money and rooms are always good. Breakfasts are not good at the moment recently stayed in quite an expensive hotel near London and had a very similar experience, just the way things are right now I guess, I feel sorry for the staff working during these horrid times, it's hard. In general though I always feel breakfasts are very overpriced even in normal times.
Yes shame it was not a great experience. We would stay here again though as room and location were great!
Ooooh yes we had a similar experience with breakfast, although 30 minute wait for us. Eggs were like bullets too. Oddly enough when we stayed at a PI in Luton the breakfast was really good! We headed to Bill's for breakie in Soton on day 2 and that was much better (as it was in Gloucester).
We have had good breakfasts in other Premier Inn's so it was a shame, should of gone to Bill's too! Would definitely stay again though as location superb!

I like the 'budget' chain hotels.. they're always a decent 'roomy' room and mostly well placed for access to places.. thanks for sharing.. Never been to Southampton other than for ferry to Isle of Wight.. so, may have a look at this one.. (minus the brekkie though!)
We do too, can't beat a roomy room lol! Yes definitely forget the breakfast and head round the corner to bills!

It was a really comfortable room, just shame about the breakfast. Still would stay there again!

Parking was easy, just turn left before the hotel into the Westquay carpark and it cost £5 a day. Thanks for asking that, we should of mentioned it, as useful for others to know too!

I used to try to book Premier Inn when I stayed away with work as you know exactly what you are getting. The buffet style breakfasts were always the best but I’m guessing COVID has put a stop to that. Nice balanced review 😊
Exactly, always have our 3 essentials, lots of plugs, comfy bed and a kettle! 😀
Paul and carrol good honest video we’ve been coming to Southampton for last ten years since we started cruising love the city missed going last year great hotels good family ones too the novatel the kids loved swimming pool the pig is lovely and dolphin was in great location next door to Witherspoon s like to try different hotel each visit looking at the moly you’re mate Jamie done nice video actually Paul changed me mind not Rambo but Bruce in die hard
Lol John McClane! We like to try different ones too, the Premier Inn was fab location. Just realised where the Pig is, great location too for the ports, not cheap was it worth the money?
@@PaulandCaroleLovetoTravel when we stayed couple years ago 99with breckie but now nearly double a lot of time but very nice and different to all the chains of hotel and yes well worth it for that dolphin was really interesting being 500 years old a lot of history with nelson staying there among others
