My wife and I travelled to southampton in October 2023 to go on a cruise to Norway. We stayed 2 nights at the Pig in the Wall @2:15. We also had dinner in the Duke of Wellington pub, only a block east of our accommodation. Its history stretches back to the 13th century. I had the best fish and chips there I've ever had. I highly recommend it.
I've been living and working here for 7 years, and I love this city more and more every day
Really enjoyed your video of my hometown, FYI Quay is pronounced KEY, not KWAY😊
Its an AI voice - it also pronounced boutique as bowteek and ballet as bell-et - we all better get used to this garbage.
Note please, West Quay - pronounced, West Kee.
FINALLY
Just what I was thinking
It’s a computer generated voice you retard
We love Southampton and we are from Scotland
Thanks for everything love Southampton
The building shown at 2:18 was originally known the "The Wool House", then was the Maritime Museum until 2011, and now the Dancing Man Brewery. If you're in Southampton and like beer, this place is an essential visit.
Is there a way to get a tour guide to ride to many of these locations. My husband is handicapped
Go shopping at the West Kway and catch a buhlet performance in the evening.
West Kway😂
Wonder around the town centre for a few days and you'll find real historic gems. Actual open archeological digs, centuries old fortified city walls and museums of all kinds, but seriously don't go out of your way for the plane museum mentioned here. It's underfunded and it shows. There are guided walks around the old city walls but there are stands with historical info next to almost all places of interest.
I'd rather get on the ferry to Hythe than go to the Titanic museum 😂
Why does it feel like the script for this video was written by AI?
A commentary in English would be nice.
it's very good video to practice English
No, it's not. The best way is to speak with a living English person over the age of 70 who hasn't been raised on AI computer speak.
What the hell is "West Kway"? I'm assuming they mean West Quay.
The best thing to ever come out of Southampton is the M27 to Portsmouth, the most interesting, and the most beautiful city in the UK.
where's ikea!!!
Are you live in Southampton? I live in Southampton
Southampton is an interesting city, but this commentary made me wince. Quite appalling pronunciation throughout - use a speaker from England who would never make these mistakes.
It’s a AI voice and not a really person
@@jackptolomey3713 Then dump the entirely inadequate AI for a real voice!
Hi I mean this in a nice way but it’s pronuced west key
Used to live near this dreary characterless unfriendly nothing place, number one tip for visiting this so called " city" , go somewhere else !
But I suppose you could go on a pub crawl and visit all the pubs in the city centre, I mean there are at least three. Used be a joke about Belgium being really boring, I mean Antwerp, Bruges, Gent what a yawn give me thrill a minute Southampton any day, really get the adrenaline flowing, its completely brilliant! 😂
Nice AI generated script bruh
