well me and Jess like spending a week at british seaside resorts over the summer time, when we decide where to go then we will see if weatherspoons has a hotel there. Thank you Tim👍
I think fridges in rooms are convenient and welcome. Milk, wine & beer etc can be stored in them. They are also useful for people who need to refrigerate medication.
@@TheNeilsolaris I'm the same. They do thermoelectric ones which don't use a compressor which are silent. But some hotels have noisy compressor ones in which is very irritating if I forget ear plugs
I think Premier Inn is pretty good. I like the standardisation knowing that the room should be clean, functional and comfortable, which is all I usually need. But it's nice to have a few extras. Thanks for checking out the upgraded rooms, Tim!
Yea so I used to work in hotels and ngl most of that room won’t get cleaned the bedding gets changed and that’s it ohh and the toilet paper also the cups and mugs in the room will be the same for everyone meaning everyone who has used those mugs haven’t been cleaned properly they are just washed in the sick with no chemicals and a quick rinse
We use Premier Inn so 're time when visiting family around the country. We had to book a premier plus room just before Christmas because it was all that was available. It was nice, but TBH, I wouldn't book again if a standard room was available - we only want somewhere clean to sleep and have breakfast before leaving for the day - so, for me, the extra money isn't worth it.
Premier Inn and the like are brilliant if you're disabled. You know the hotels will be accessible and the accessible rooms are usually spacious and easy to get around.
Agree totally, the one featured here looked spotlessly clean, it isn't the cheapest hotel but I'm a firm believer of the saying "you get what you pay for". I've used them before, several times, have a booking already made for a city break early next year.
✨As someone who works at Premier Inn I wanted to give my professional opinion First, yes there should have been two bottles of water in that fridge… I don’t know why it wasn’t there and I’m so sorry for that On overall that room doesn’t reflect actual standard as this room is done wrong in so many ways, including the bed which is horrible and not up to brand standards Also the kettle in that room is wrong and there is another kettle used in that room that is bigger and better Plus, there are smaller pillows in that bag with extra pillows About chocolates - you can always go back to reception or catch a housekeeper and ask fo more chocolates and tees (even if you are not staying in plus room 😜) In general, you had every right to ask for your money back as I look at that room, the bed shocked me tbh. And as you come in the bedside lamps should have been turned on the pillows that should have been a lot more neat with light in the room turned off You were also given a wrong key card, there’s another one for plus rooms that is themed for those rooms And not all premier inns have the sign about illegal substances, it might be a thing in London, doesn’t say anything about the whole brand
@@peternelson6142 Premier Inn have a money back guarantee if you don't get a good night's sleep, and they are very good about refunds. I've had to claim twice due to wedding parties running noisily up and down the corridor in early hours of the morning. Usually I find the Premier Inn beds excellent and really comfortable. And the housekeeping is always very good.
Had a premier plus room in Bournemouth (if you're ever staying try to get one of the sea view rooms, one of the best room views in Bournemouth) Main plus of the premier plus room was the fridge, there is complimentary water in it, and if you run out you just ask for more at reception. Basically unlimited. And was great to go to Tesco and get some cold drinks that I could then keep cold. WiFi was also useful
That fridge would be marvellous, always bring a pint of two of real milk for real tea and end up having to keep it cool on the windowsill or in a sink of cold water for the morning. It'd probably be safe for overnight but I don't like taking tummy risks when I'm away from home. Thanks for the review Tim.
I really do like a Premier Plus room, as I can pop down the shop and put my pepsi in the fridge to keep cool. After a night out a cold glass of water is so much nicer than the usual warm tap water too! They tend to put the Plus rooms on the higher up floors too for those of us who prefer a view, take away the £5/night for good wifi and it's definitely worth the money.
These look really nice, they have taken out the bath and replaced it with a shower that's why the shower is roomy, also you need a fridge to keep items cool like milk or drinks so it's a great addition.
Fridge and Aircon definitely a big improvement. Nice to have somewhere to keep bottle of water cool. Also if you are an insulin dependent diabetic good to have somewhere cool to store the insulin if you are staying more than a couple of days. Showers look good as well.
I had two free bottles of water when I stayed in a Premier Plus room, and quite enjoyed it. I'll certainly stay in one again when I've got more time to kill at the hotel as they're more comfortable to work in and more relaxing generally... The fridge was a nice touch to chill a drink overnight and take out in the morning... Also if you take drinks up from the bar (as I do if I'm working in the room for a while) it's handy to keep them cool.
I used to work for room service at the premier inn, it was actually alright! I remember the ladies I worked with used to always use the coffee machines in the morning and they are actually pretty good ! (Plus who doesn’t love a bit of chocolate!)
Premier Inn used to be my go-to chain, but they've changed to a "dynamic pricing" model, and they're now very poor value for money. September 2021, me and some friends stayed at a Premier Inn at Cardiff, and my room was £59 a night, including breakfast, which I think is pretty good value. In October 2022, we went back to the same hotel, as it was well located for us, and the price had shot up to £93 a night. The original plan had been to stay in another Premier Inn in the Cotswolds on our journey home, but their branch at Chipping Norton cost a truly shocking £160 for a standard room!! We ended up getting a far, far nicer Mercure hotel which cost just £7 more than what I'd paid for a night in Cardiff! Until such time as Premier Inn lower their prices, I will be in no hurry to return. It's a shame really.
I think this has always been the case - I needed to stay in Dover in August 2015 and it was about £80 per night (much more than when I'd stayed there a few months before). Hotels in general, like everything, have also shot up a lot in price recently. I think Premier Inn is still better value than say a Travelodge, but it's definitely worth shopping around for other options.
We stayed in a Premier Inn hotel about ten years ago and it was only £19 a night we paid online. It was a special offer I think even £29 was quite good. But I noticed that some branches are more expensive than other.
I really like Premier Inn, I know what to expect and I know the shower will be piping hot and the bed acceptable. I travel around Europe for work and so many hotels are sub par to Premier Inn standards
We stayed in a Premier Inn in Farringdon in London, I was well impressed with the room, the only thing we didn't have was the coffee machine. We had the family room, would definitely stay again. Totally agree about the bed sheets I was sweltering in the night, mind you it was August lol.... Great video Tim! 👍👍🙂
I'd been wondering if the Plus rooms were worth the extra, to be honest I don't think I would pay that extra, I think their standard rooms are pretty good anyway. Thanks for showing us Tim, shame we couldn't see the sea view in the day time though, I would have liked to have seen that.
I felt the same. Normal Premier Inn seems fine and I don't see the upgrade need. If I were staying for a few days the fridge would be good. This video is useful so I know for future.
Staying at Premier Inns for work, I take advantage of the Premier Plus rooms when I can. In some of their hotels, the Premier Plus floor is also the quiet floor. As someone who has worked hard during the day, and absolutely knackered by the end of it, those little extras make a difference. Even the stool as somewhere to unpack your overnight bags. But then, my hotel expenses are paid for me. I always love the Nespresso machine.
Very impressed with how clean everything is... it could be as it's all newly fitted as you pointed out but I would definitely pay an extra £20-30 to guarantee comfort and cleanliness. Great review as always Tim.
Brilliant as always, Tim. I love my Premier Inns as well, so I was considering the Plus one next year when I take my mini breaks. The shower was incredible 👌 And come on mate, the fridge in the room is perfect for keeping those beers cold 👍😁
The air freshener thingy is made by Scent Air - they pump out a mist of fragrance. I use several of them and they're becoming more popular, not cheap though!
I think these rooms could be good for business travellers. The only thing that I haven't seen in standard Premier Inn rooms that I'd probably use is the fridge. Fridges are really useful, especially in the summer - you can use it to chill drinks or store food safely, especially if you're trying to save money on meals out. I also have meditation that is better chilled and usually resort to making a DIY fridge when I stay in hotels. I actually think all rooms should have one in!
@@Blue.sk13s I only need to keep eye drops cool, so I put them in a cup/glass/mug (whatever's provided in the room) and fill the container with cold water. Then I take a couple of squares of toilet roll, fold them and put on top of the container so that both ends are in the water and the middle is exposed. It's similar to how you keep milk cold when camping, except with a bucket and tea towel. I can't remember the exact science behind why it works, but it does!
@@hd2000 I've stayed in hotels for work, sometimes you don't feel like eating out or have leftovers to keep cool or want to get lunch for the next day (which usually isn't expensable). You also might want to keep drinks cold on a hot day. I agree that it's more useful for leisure travellers, but still useful for everyone.
Hoorah, I'm not alone on the too thick pillow and duvets. I've been known to dump the pillow for a towel inside the pillow case, and just use the duvet cover.
The only problem with the weston Super Mare Premier Inn is the parking, no free car park,so we been to the one in Lympsham very nice just outside weston. We have also stayed in a Premier plus room, and it was lovely having the extra bit's the fridge is the best thing. And yes you should have had some Complimentary water and bit's in the fridge. They're also changing their mattresses they normally have hypnos ones, but now they are all changing to Silent night ones.
Tip for any hotel with the electric/room key thing. Any card from your wallet fits and works, so if it’s hot you can leave the air conditioning on and while you’re out of the room.
Fridges are quite useful for keeping costs down. If staying for a while you can pick up snacks that will keep for lunch or dinner meaning apart from breakfast you only have one paid meal out to pay for per day.
I usually stop in Premier Inns when visiting my daughter down in Kent. I find them clean and always in good order for the few days I'm down there. Nice grub as well! Cheers for another informative vid to divulge myself in, Tim. 👍
Well i'm impressed with that room, looked lovely, only stayed in a Premier Inn once, that was in Eastbourne, thought it was good value, the only negative was not being able to open the room window, i heard it was like that in all Premier Inns, i'm afraid i like a slightly open window and fresh air at night.
I live two bus stops south of this premier inn. Good to know about the fridge as if I am away for a few days I can put my insulin in it, though I prefer a bath. I love their beds. If you know Weston-super-Mare then you would not be surprised to read the sign about substances.
I used to travel alot for a living ,and have used Premier Inns since they started many years ago. The were always competivly priced, comfortable and spotless .
I stayed in one of these rooms before I knew what they were, it was simply the only room available. but the room I had was significantly larger than this, almost have a completely separate living space. It felt totally worth the little more. If that was the room I received I wouldn’t a known the difference. I was staying at Earls Court London.
Premier Inn room are not bad to start with. Good clean and same standard no matter where. I was given a Premier Plus room (free upgrade) at Heathrow T4. It was very nice. Fridge was specially appreciated to keep drinks and snacks cold. Sorry I’d take a fridge anyway over a coffee machine. And most would. If they have kids or babies or traveling by yourself. Apart from AC a fridge is probably the best addition to a room. And the Prem T4 had a Costa in the lobby so I could get a better coffee there anyway then I’d make.
@@WalkWithMeTim It keeps things cold 🙂I love when a hotel has a mini fridge, throw in that pre-dinner bottle of wine as a couple, or a few cold cans before you head out for the evening. Each to their own though. Great review.
@@robertnash1084 100%. And even if going back to room you can keep some nice chocolate or a sandwich (you pick up) for an evening treat. Or a cold drink overnight. And also that coffee machine, it’s much nicer having fresh milk than some long life UDT. 100% find a fridge handier
I like a mini fridge in a hotel. When we travelled through the UK, we never got one with a mini fridge which comes standard with hotels in Australia. We never thought to check and the reason you want a mini fridge, it is nice to have a cold drink during the night or if you bought some food during the day that's need to be in a fridge or in my case insulin that needs to be in a fridge so these Premier Inn PLUS Room would be my pick just because of the fridge.
Yes, definitely a perk here in the UK. One tip if you need a fridge and the room doesn't have one is to ask at reception. Most hotels will have a fridge and sometimes a freezer that guests can use - they just ask you to have things labelled. It's obviously less convenient, because you have to ask at reception every time, but still useful to have.
The premier plus room I had in Cardiff basically had it’s own living room attached. It was very nice, basically the size of 2 rooms. Also, you should’ve had some water in that fridge, we did.
The thing on the wall is an automatic air freshener defuser. I love a Premier Inn. I was crew for British airways for 30 years and stayed in some of the best hotels around the world. A few years ago in an attempt to cut costs BA contracted Premier Inn to host us on our Heathrow night stops between trips. We were outraged at first but turns out the hotels were great and the food and drink was excellent value.
I've spent a lot of time in Premier Inn's over the last 2 years for work, all within about an 8-10 mile radius of each other, and would definitely choose them over other hotel chains when they are available. I can see how the fridge could be handy if staying for a number of nights, as you could buy fresh milk, fruit juice etc from a nearby supermarket but I can't say anything else in that PLUS room would make an difference to me, especially as I'm out at work all day. They seem to have removed that sofa/bed/lounger thing that's normally pushed up against the wall. Not sure what it's for other than a good place to unpack a suitcase and thrown clothes on etc.
I have wondered what these are like when I’ve stayed in the newish PI at Great Yarmouth. There are some good points like the fridge, situated on the top floor and better toiletries. I spend so little time in the room I doubt for me it would be worth it. It’s a shame they didn’t do a super king bed but I suppose the room is a similar size to the normal rooms. Thanks for sharing and satisfying my curiosity 😊
I stayed in a premier plus room more than once. and I must say its worth while! I have the best night sleep I ever had in those rooms, nice soft beds, fresh pillows and sheets and just generally a clean atmosphere that just makes everything melt away. the staff I find are very helpful too!
Hi Tim, just spent a night at The Park Premier Inn in Harrogate. To be honest, the standard room we had was superb , apart from the coffee machine and fancy tea I dont see a lot of difference , oh, and the fridge of course. I have to add that the staff and meals ( meal deal) were excellent . My company had an account with Premier so I used them quite lot when I was working , now Im retired they are still my first choice for a short stay ,city break type of thing.
May have to see if the usual one I book for when we goto hoys has the plus rooms. Love a good Premier Inn. Always a good night sleep and being a 15 min drive away makes a cool down for your mind after the show. Trying a normal b&b in June in Peterborough as its closer to the theatre.
I stayed in a premium plus room at Cardiff and have to admit I was impressed with the extra features. Love the led strip lights in the room. Certainly will be paying that bit extra when I visit Edinburgh in 2023!
I've stayed at the Premier Inn at Kettering in the past pre-covid and the room was freezing as the heating didn't work properly. The new style upgrade rooms do look nice and I'd probably choose them over the standard rooms. I look forward to seeing your next video.
Interesting, I've been to one in Halifax a couple of weeks ago and it was freezing as well. Like seriously freaking cold. Otherwise very tidy and calm.
Stopped in the plus rooms a couple of times, the fridge is very useful as you can get a pint of proper milk so you can have lots of cups of tea as I bring Yorkshire tea bags with me when I stop in hotels!
Agree with you about the pillows all hotels seem to think we have elastic necks, but in saying that we are great fans of Premier Inn you can’t beat knowing what you’re getting.
I've stayed in a Premier Inn Tim!! Last December 2021. I had a little adventure! Just moved into my new house that was unbearably cold as I moved in December & the Extraction Fans were just like holes in the walls ( I've since made adjustments & house feels abit better) But last December after a few weeks shivering with cold I packed a bag & booked into my nearest premier Inn for the first time. I was that cold the staff gave me an extra Duvet! First room I went too the heating wouldn't work so I got moved to another room. It was a standard room but it had an extra big sofa where I sat wrapped up in the extra Duvet & it had a stunning view of a big Christmas Tree outside! And you were right Tim, the soap dispensers were like what you get in a public toilet. But the Bathroom was nice & it had a bath & shower over. There was place to hang clothes in my room & a table & chair. Plus good sized TV. I didn't get the Expresso Coffee Maker obviously being a standard room (tho I'm not a fan of Expresso!) And I had no complementary Chocolate! For the first 3 or 4 nights were fine then the air conditioning when really cold I thought the staff had turned it down on purpose cos I was always asking them to turn it up to 28°c. But downstairs the Cafe & Bar was also freezing! And everyone was complaining about being cold! After a night of cold air blowing into my room I checked out early! I was going to stay over Christmas but changed my mind I came back to my cold house instead. At least I didn't have to pay to stay at home! The positives about the Premier Inn was as you say Tim the bed was extremely comfortable & the room was clean. But if I ever had to stay in a Premier Inn again I'd go in summer when it's naturally warmer. I can't say I was impressed but that was only one experience in one Premier Inn. The premium room you were in did look luxurious & I hope the Air Conditioning was more advanced that what I experienced! Hope you had a really good stay Tim And I'd like to wish you a Happy Birthday 🎂🎉🎊aswell. I don't know what day your Birthday is on but I know it's in December so have a lovely time on your special 🎉 day🎊❣️
@@WalkWithMeTim Happy Birthday for next Monday Tim! I'll be thinking about you & hoping your having a lovely day!🎉 Yes I'm not sure for me it would be worthwhile paying extra for the premium room. But now that you've told me about it if I do ever need to stay I probably would have the premium room just to check it out😂
I stayed in a premier inn during “the beast from the east” in Southampton and their heating was broken. Thankfully they had loads of portable oil filled plug in radiators on wheels so I was able to get the room warm
. it could be as it's all newly fitted as you pointed out but I would definitely pay an extra £20-30 to guarantee comfort and cleanliness. Great review as always Tim.
I always take my own tea and coffe to a premier inn or travelodge, only because I have a brand I prefer. I also buy a small bottle of milk at the local supermarket before I arrive, so I would appreciate a fridge in the room as I often have to throw milk away and buy a new one if staying for a few days
Same for me, but I may add that staff is usually very friendly, too... And maybe the 4th thing for me is they are easy to find and easy to book through their website
Agree Premier Inn are always reliable - nothing fancy but clean, reasonable sized room for the price, great bed, decent TV (with HDMI socket below the TV to connect a laptop), cheap and decent WiFi...
Hmm never stayed in PI ...there have been occasions when I needed to book a room but went with some good independents. I did wonder what the difference was with the plus and whether whether it was worth it. Thankyou Tim you have answered my question. If I want a little bit of luxury I ll go for the plus otherwise I could settle for the normal rooms.
I always check that accommodation comes with a fridge , certain medications need refrigeration and okay in a cool box for the journey but need to go straight into the fridge on arrival. Great to see these hotels catering for everyone and listening to travellers request 👍
First Premier Plus experiencen today and I love it. The fridge is a godsend and the walk in shower is much better than the baths. I am converted, if I can get a decent price.
I travelled across the country for over a year, delivering five-day training sessions, and stayed in hotels paid for by work. I bought myself a mini fridge for just over £100, and it does improve your stay. You can have fresh milk in your tea (instead of powered), meats, salads and cold drinks. The alternative is powered milk, pot noodles things or expensive and timely visits to local restaurants or fast food outlets. It is a pain to carry in and out of the place though. There may also be a safety risk in taking your own mini fridge as it's not PAT tested by the hotel, but I never asked and just did it. I justified this to myself by thinking of all the guests taking their own laptops and devices. They plug them in to charge or use without the hotel PAT testing them.
I've just stayed 3 nights at the Goodrington beach hotel in Paignton. Lovely clean warm room & friendly staff. My only complaint is the price, the £35 a night rooms are almost none existent now as opposed to a few years ago & I do think for the price, a couple of bottles of water should be standard.
Hi Tim. It's a lovely room. But I have never stayed in premier Inn or travel lodge. My sister always stay in premier Inn. I will get her to watch this one.
I love this ‘add a fancy chair and it’s a completely different room class’ idea. I still would choose Premier Inn because the breakfast is a bit rubbish usually. But, a nice room overall.
This step up in PI rooms would certainly make me more likely to choose them over a Holiday Inn Extra say, I do though like full-service hotels and in particular some of the rather quirky old coaching inns like The Bear at Woodstock, price is not always my first consideration either when booking a hotel.
Mr Tim, I have stayed many times in The Premier Inn Bournemouth, opposite The Royal Bath Hotel which you reviewed a few months back. It is converted from a 1930s grand old art deco hotel. The premier plus rooms have balcony's overlooking the pier, and you can smoke on them as well. Regarding your question about the fridge, there are usually 2 bottles of water in them 1 still, 1 sparkling, and I usually stock mine up with wine from Tesco. P.S. I have just booked the Premier Inn Al Jaddaf in Dubai for 10 nights next August, and the price including breakfast is an incredible £47 per night.
You were wondering what that thing is up on the wall in the hallway. I wonder if it could be a security camera, although it doesn't really look like one. I don't know.
The last time when I stayed at a Premier Inn in Cardiff they were having one of the floors done out, take it might have been starting on with the Premier Inn plus rooms. I have stayed at lots of Premier Inn myself, you know what you are getting and they a good for a night sleep. Cool room number, 3 2 1 open the door. 😀
I have stayed at the Premier Inn on Newmarket Road in Cambridge and in Newmarket. Decent accommodation on both occasions at a decent price. Although the breakfast service was a little bit hit and miss.
The reason I like Premier Inn when cycling is that they usually allow you to take the bike to your room. I'm pretty sure it's not policy, but if you ask where the cycle parking is, nine times out of ten they'll say 'just take it to the room'
The fridge would be a great touch for me, as I always take a mug, teabags, sugar and milk with me. I agree that the pillows are always too thick. I do love Premier Inn. Basic and reliable, the beds are always great and the breakfasts are second to none. Check out Mercure Hotel showers!
I always like my Premier Inns main reason being the bed and they provide a bath which I like. So glad you showed us the new rooms but I think I would decline not much better and no bath.
that thing on the ceiling in the corridor, I think is the thing you could smell. It's an air freshener. We used them in care homes at one point. I might be wrong but i think it's one. They are anti bacterial.
I've noticed some of the newer or refurbished Premier Inns have an HDMI socket so you can plug your laptop (or phone, if you have the right adaptors) in and watch your own streams or local videos, even in a standard room. I guess that's what the port to the right of the double socket at 3:02 is?
I must admit Tim the beds are good in Premier Inn's , formerly the Premier Lodge the hotel chain was started by Scottish and Newcastle breweries , I stay in them quite a lot ( My favourite hotel chain is the Malmaison ) the Premier Inn on Dale Street in Manchester has floor to ceiling windows in some of the higher floor rooms .
Weren’t they a merger of Travel Inn and Premier Lodge. One started by Whitbread the other by S&N? The merger occurred sometime in the early 2000’s? I know I always stayed at Travel Inn (probably bigger in the south).
Thank you for this video on behalf of my parents who have booked a night away at this very hotel, next Saturday for their wedding anniversary, staying in a premier plus room. They asked me for help planning it all, I told them I know someone who has stayed in a plus room (as I haven't, yet & they beat me to it) So, we all watched this video together, 2 nights in a row
I upgrade all the time now. The fridge is great to keep real milk in and the odd beer and vino. I like to have my breakfast in bed so I have my own Alpen and fresh milk. I normally stay for a week min 3 weeks a month due to work so as much home comfort is needed.
We normally stay at Premier Inn and are happy with the standard room. Maybe for a treat and more than one night I might splurge. With you on the comfy beds but also the warm duvets, had to chuck it off last time 🤣 Good to see what you do get for your money, thank you 😊
Good vlog Tim,premier Inn have always been good to stay in ,they are clean and tidy and not expensive that what I like about them, but I also like holiday Inn, as for paying extra money for upper class premier Inn I would because some hotel you go to and pay more money and they are offen not great, plus it's great to have a hotel that people can afford and especially when it's clean and friendly,

Agreed! The need for a fresh cold water
As long as they are quiet. I've unplugged a few in the past!
When I was in Glasgow mine had a complimentary bottle of water inside. Maybe they ran out?

Yes, the range is very good.
✨As someone who works at Premier Inn I wanted to give my professional opinion
First, yes there should have been two bottles of water in that fridge… I don’t know why it wasn’t there and I’m so sorry for that
On overall that room doesn’t reflect actual standard as this room is done wrong in so many ways, including the bed which is horrible and not up to brand standards
Also the kettle in that room is wrong and there is another kettle used in that room that is bigger and better
Plus, there are smaller pillows in that bag with extra pillows
About chocolates - you can always go back to reception or catch a housekeeper and ask fo more chocolates and tees (even if you are not staying in plus room 😜)
In general, you had every right to ask for your money back as I look at that room, the bed shocked me tbh. And as you come in the bedside lamps should have been turned on the pillows that should have been a lot more neat with light in the room turned off
You were also given a wrong key card, there’s another one for plus rooms that is themed for those rooms
And not all premier inns have the sign about illegal substances, it might be a thing in London, doesn’t say anything about the whole brand
Agreed

That fridge would be marvellous, always bring a pint of two of real milk for real tea and end up having to keep it cool on the windowsill or in a sink of cold water for the morning. It'd probably be safe for overnight but I don't like taking tummy risks when I'm away from home. Thanks for the review Tim.
Great idea!
The "Bedside table" at 4:26 is actually a laptop desk that you can use with the comfy chair so you can work with your feet up!
thanks for the tip
Yep. I stay at Premier Inns roughly 2 nights per week for work, and that moveable bedside/laptop table is always extremely useful.
The fridge is really useful especially in the summer when you need chilled drinks. It is something we look for.
The dalek from the ceiling was exactly what you were talking about; it dispenses the fragrance.
as they have a fridge in the room, then a nice touch would have been fresh milk for your tea and coffee
(Plus who doesn’t love a bit of chocolate!)
lol
I am an Iranian girl, walk with me in the nature of Iran. It's amazing, subscribe
I Stayed in the Premier Plus room on Bournemouth Sea Front....i have to say i was impressed, we even had a Balcony.
Haha I work at Premier Inn and I don’t think those rooms are worth that much more than flex rooms. Get a flex room, just as good!
Great review as always Tim.
yes I think if u fancy having a treat its worth it
Cleanliness should be guaranteed anyway in my opinion
@@technov1deo I agree, but Tim's posts often prove this not to be the case.
@@WalkWithMeTimhi there! Check out the chessington hotel it’s worth it!
To be honest, never had a problem with cleanliness in a Premier Inn.
You can just buy plug ins or Glade or Air Wick fresh matic auto dispensers
I think these rooms could be good for business travellers. The only thing that I haven't seen in standard Premier Inn rooms that I'd probably use is the fridge.
Fridges are really useful, especially in the summer - you can use it to chill drinks or store food safely, especially if you're trying to save money on meals out. I also have meditation that is better chilled and usually resort to making a DIY fridge when I stay in hotels.
I actually think all rooms should have one in!
I agree but what I’m interested in is how do you make a DIY fridge?
Business travelers will have expenses like meals out paid, fridges are more appreciated by the everyday leisure traveler who would like to save money
@@Blue.sk13s cooler bag with ice packs.
Your mini fridge should have 2 still and 2 sparkling water just to say! :)
whattttttt I want a refund
Tip for any hotel with the electric/room key thing. Any card from your wallet fits and works, so if it’s hot you can leave the air conditioning on and while you’re out of the room.
I love Premiere Inn - the best beds ever! I'd say the extra money is worth it because the rooms look much bigger and the extras are worth it for me.
The fridges are meant to come with two complimentary bottles of spring water, one still and one sparkling.
Love premier inn ; I even brought the pillows and duvet , the beds are amazing; best nights sleep ever
Wow you are a fan
I wish Premier Inn would do a loyalty scheme. I spend months a year in them and always a pain when you can't even get good internet without paying.
me too they did used to do something like that
I live two bus stops south of this premier inn.
Yes don't see the point of the fridge
@@WalkWithMeTim It keeps things cold 🙂I love when a hotel has a mini fridge, throw in that pre-dinner bottle of wine as a couple, or a few cold cans before you head out for the evening. Each to their own though. Great review.
@@robertnash1084 100%. And even if going back to room you can keep some nice chocolate or a sandwich (you pick up) for an evening treat. Or a cold drink overnight. And also that coffee machine, it’s much nicer having fresh milk than some long life UDT. 100% find a fridge handier
Yay - couldn't stand the purple lighting. Totally agree about the pillows - same with Travelodge too, I believe they describe them as 'plump'!
Love premier inn you get what you pay for and they are always clean, comfortable and quiet. Really good for short stays
Yeah stayed at one Terminal 4 at LHR saw lots of BA Cabin Crew there was Terminal 4 I think as the front had a runway view.
I am an Iranian girl, walk with me in the nature of Iran. It's amazing, subscribe❤
Clean and fresh room,😊
I stay in premier inn's all the time and I've never tried a plus room, but after watching this I really want to
I stayed in a premier plus room more than once. and I must say its worth while! I have the best night sleep I ever had in those rooms, nice soft beds, fresh pillows and sheets and just generally a clean atmosphere that just makes everything melt away. the staff I find are very helpful too!
If you don’t mind, how much per night? Thanks
My company had an account with Premier so I used them quite lot when I was working , now Im retired they are still my first choice for a short stay ,city break type of thing.
yes mine too! its like coming home to a comfy bed
Looked really good but they could have put a bath in to really up their game. Some of us cannot use showers for med reasons. Nice review as always.
Well done Tim, that was a super review of the Premier Inn plus room.
Thanks Michael
Stopped in the plus rooms a couple of times, the fridge is very useful as you can get a pint of proper milk so you can have lots of cups of tea as I bring Yorkshire tea bags with me when I stop in hotels!
Agree with you about the pillows all hotels seem to think we have elastic necks, but in saying that we are great fans of Premier Inn you can’t beat knowing what you’re getting.
Also you get there ultimate WiFi which is £5 a day so it kind of pays for itself nearly
I always also pick premier inn if I can do. The beds are amazing.
They are!
I've stayed in a Premier Inn Tim!!
Last December 2021.
I had a little adventure!
Just moved into my new house that was unbearably cold as I moved in December & the Extraction Fans were just like holes in the walls ( I've since made adjustments & house feels abit better)
But last December after a few weeks shivering with cold I packed a bag & booked into my nearest premier Inn for the first time.
I didn't get the Expresso Coffee Maker obviously being a standard room (tho I'm not a fan of Expresso!)
And I had no complementary Chocolate!
Hope you had a really good stay Tim
And I'd like to wish you a Happy Birthday 🎂🎉🎊aswell.
I don't know what day your Birthday is on but I know it's in December so have a lovely time on your special 🎉 day🎊❣️
yes and the bed I think is the same so what's the point lol .. my birthday is nxt Monday but you have given enough bex
@@WalkWithMeTim Happy Birthday for next Monday Tim!
I'll be thinking about you & hoping your having a lovely day!🎉
Yes I'm not sure for me it would be worthwhile paying extra for the premium room.
Great review as always Tim.
thanks
I always take my own tea and coffe to a premier inn or travelodge, only because I have a brand I prefer. I also buy a small bottle of milk at the local supermarket before I arrive, so I would appreciate a fridge in the room as I often have to throw milk away and buy a new one if staying for a few days
Two best things from a premier inn the bed and the breakfast 👍
In the room, loving the purple mood lighting.
I like the premier Inns. Usually nice and clean and you know what your getting. Air BnB can be hit and miss.
I believe you also get the upgraded Wi-Fi. Staying in a premier room in Feb in the Isle of Man so looking forward to see the difference for myself.
yes did I not mention that
P.S. I have just booked the Premier Inn Al Jaddaf in Dubai for 10 nights next August, and the price including breakfast is an incredible £47 per night.
yes they are exactly the same as in the uk .. but have a swimming pool lol
It does look nice, never stayed in one but I'd definitely think about it if it's ever an option. Ty for sharing your vid.
The glass of the light in the bathroom when tapped lucky wasn't hot and not burn't self.
I am a huge Premier Inn fan, but would love to see you try lots of budget brands and cheap boutiques. Thanks for a great video.
Great suggestion!
I always like my Premier Inns main reason being the bed and they provide a bath which I like.
So glad you showed us the new rooms but I think I would decline not much better and no bath.
I wish you could open a window a little in these hotels
They can get so stuffy + dry with the compulsory aircon in each room
I think the thing at 2:15 is a Wireless Access Point for the Wi-Fi
that thing on the ceiling in the corridor, I think is the thing you could smell. It's an air freshener. We used them in care homes at one point. I might be wrong but i think it's one. They are anti bacterial.
they smell nice!
I normally stay for a week min 3 weeks a month due to work so as much home comfort is needed.
wow
I love the beds in Premier Inn and I have only stayed in one in Yorkshire. And the showers ooh lovely xxx
Premier Inns are my favourite hotels of all time. They have a certain vibe to them which other hotels dont have
Love a premier inn! Find the beds so comfy and the purple light really soothing
the round thing on the wall is a fragrance defuse unit some also double as an air steriliser/odour eliminator
I stayed in one and enjoyed it. No negatives.
We normally stay at Premier Inn and are happy with the standard room. Maybe for a treat and more than one night I might splurge. With you on the comfy beds but also the warm duvets, had to chuck it off last time 🤣 Good to see what you do get for your money, thank you 😊
lol you are welcome , I dont think I will pay extra gain I found bed just the same a new premier inn
Good vlog Tim,premier Inn have always been good to stay in ,they are clean and tidy and not expensive that what I like about them, but I also like holiday Inn, as for paying extra money for upper class premier Inn I would because some hotel you go to and pay more money and they are offen not great, plus it's great to have a hotel that people can afford and especially when it's clean and friendly,
agree
