These are very helpful tips! The new hunters need to know this. This video deserves more views. Thanks, Samurai, for making these guides. Would u be making guide video on how to get rare unusual items like Barrel Lids, Master's Skull, Unknown, Skull, Lost Umbrella, & Sinister Cloth, etc ??
instead of wasting time gathering dung, you can also just buy 99 worms instead. the gunstrat is definitely the best strat for new accounts tho, ive been doing it myself. i wouldnt do the crystal hammer however, you can play with the starting hbg all the way until tigrex, kill him twice and you can make his hammer, no additional materials required, so basically you dont have to grind at all in this game. oh and as a nice bonus the tigrex hammer is good enough to beat the village high rank quests as well, so you can farm nargacuga with it as well and upgrade the tigrex hammer into the narga hammer which is good enough to get you to g rank, and once your g rank you can either make the juggernaut hammer or upgrade your narga hammer again. so basically you never have to grind for any materials until g rank. and even in g rank you can beat every quest without grinding as well. the only thing you have to do is kill 100 wyverns/kut kus to unlock gold rathian and silver rathalos, so unfortunately you cant beat the game that quick after all.
@@SAMURAI_3001 I just started and I just knew how to climb BECAUSE THERES NO POP UP THAT SAYS PRESS O WTHHHHHH BROOOOO IT TOOK ME AN HOUR TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO COLLECT MOUNTAIN HERBS T-T
As a Longsword main, i always go for the Iron Katana Path straight upwards to the Eager Cleaver. All you gotta do to get that is farm a lot of ores and then get a lil bit of Khezu materials. This path gives you green sharpness early and in high quantities and the Thunder Element it gets won't be resisted by many monsters in the game. On the contrary, it's even hitting weak spots of many early theats like carapaceons, flying wyverns and some nasty pisces wyverns like Plesioth.
I know this is old but may i ask 2 questions as I'm playing my first playthrough and after trying everything i decided i will stick with ls as a main no secondary or something so my questions are 1- how many upgrades to the iron katan are required before it turns to the eager cleaver 2- what to get after the E C i don't think it will be enough to beat the game
Back when i play this game when i was a kid im great sword/dual sword user bro dual sword is so op in late game if you have drag attribute just fck some dragons on the head and ur good to go 💪🏼
Could you beat the entire game using only the sword and shield? If so, which one is the best? I have played this game since I was 9 in 2014 and have gone through all the weapons except the hunting horn and have realised that the SnS is the best for most situations, 2nd being the katana for high dps, high range and some defensive capabilities. What do you think? Also, another question I have is why isn't there a unified wiki for this game? It's near 20yo at this point, you would think it would have one very well developed.
Im a noob when it comes to SnS but the best one would probably be something with high raw and sharpness or a SnS that gets purple sharpness with Sharpness plus 1
@@SAMURAI_3001 It is kind of weird but yes, Dung as far as I know can only be gathered in the field, when I found out what it was for I was quite glad to discover I would NEVER run out of sap planta again.
its easier to just buy a few thousand worms from the backpacl granny for 10z each once you have you power seed farm running. no need to ever gather dung again

Fighting Tigrex with a Heavy Bowgun can be a real pain though.
You're giving the idea that Grex/Narg will give the mats in just one hunt wich is absurd.
@SoftBoiledArt yeah that can be a pain 😂

Very nice tips, I like the heavy bowgun very much, what should I upgrade it into later? Also what is some good beginner armor
The bone shooter is a good one at the start, Battle armor is good at the start, with a few hunter pieces
I'm not playing a gun in monster hunter sorry
Very helpful tips, especially for the dung.
Joke aside, what's the set that gives you no reloading for the H.bowgun at the end ?
I’ll make a video on it later today!
