      If we're talking about what resembles MHFU the most by content and gameplay, I would probably say its MH4U/MH4G since it matches the *amount* of content MHFU had to offer at its time. For people who is reading this comment, this is just an exaggeration, seriously, only handful of them that actually have blatant bad hitbox, raths tail and plesioth are the one that stood out. Even tigrex hitbox is much more makes sense than those 2 monsters.
      I GENUINELY surprised by how accurate the hitbox in this game since most people say how bad it is (i expect something much much worse) and im a fucking 5th fleet hunter, i had no problem getting to g rank since i choose to gunned the shit out of any raths and plesi variants and use ds for the rest of the monsters.

      @Kakantor 3 роки тому +9

      @@chargemankent I started playing at MHF2 and while I can't speak for the older games I can say that I don't think it's true that it went downhill after that. MHFU hold a precious place in my heart because of how great it was...for the time. It was an improvement compared to MHF2 because of new mechanics. New games also introduces new mechanics that are sometimes a miss (like underwater combat from MHT) but that's part of progress, sometime you have to miss to correct your aim. MHW have a lot of features that are cool af, and is objectively better on a lot of aspects. Nostalgia make me want to say MHFU was the best too, but that's not really true.

    Whenever I miss old Monster Hunter... I'll remember this video, I have hundreds of hours on 4U and Generations, but when I think of the sheer tedium of gathering and eggs in the old games, it keeps me from starting an old game again. Aside from that though, the memories of hunting with friends on the 3DS are priceless

      I just wish egg gathering was of some use, they made the controls and egg carry experience better but gave is no reason at all to gather eggs... Id love some interesting egg gathering quests. :(

    I remember I had a folder with pictures of all the maps with where the gathering points were and notes of what monsters were weak to. I remember looking at a monsters armor after I first beat it cause I could look at it’s elemental resistances and negative skills to figure out what their weaknesses were. I remember fighting Kushala at the Island, rolling under him and dropping lighting rods and slapping him with my Kirin GS. I love this game so much.
