      Depends where one lives - in some states in America alimony and backwards laws make it an attractive proposition... considering the alternative is a form of legal slavery. I don't condone it, but I can certainly understand why some do kill their spouses instead of divorcing them, in some places. Fix the stupid laws.

    Nylon rope essentially melts when tied in a knot and tension is applied.
    Knots become near impossible to undo and leave *OBVIOUS* marks in the rope.
    The knots shown did not have any tension applied, ergo that rope was *NOT* the cause of death.

That rope did look thin, and you are right that someone used to using rope should 100% know whether it had been holding a load or not. A forensics team should have taken close-up photographs of the knots/cuts. I wonder how many people walk free because of sloppy forensic evidence.

      @@SloverOfTeuth There are many issues with our justice system.
      Police are overworked and underfunded.
      There are unofficial "quotas" on who can be prosecuted each month and how often repeat offenders can be sent before the courts.
      While the courts themselves are too lenient, preferring community based sentences that do not deter re-offending.
      The Auckland court building itself is a nightmare for police in particular, as there is very little room for them to work ( paper work etc ), sub standard toilets and showers and little in the way of ventilation.
      Resulting in police avoiding the place like the plague, and spending the minimal amount of time there possible.
      So pretty easy for something seemingly basic to slip through the cracks, which is *terrifying*

    • @SloverOfTeuth
      @SloverOfTeuth Місяць тому +3

      @@oggaBugga What you describe sounds very similar to what appears to be the situation in the UK and at least in some parts of the US, due to underfunding and misplaced political priorities. My concern is that this may lead to an increase in at least some types of crime, which will ultimately require more resources to reduce. I'm not sure that total crime figures reflect that (yet?), and for sure there must be a lot more to criminal control than just that, but to me it's a matter of concern nonetheless. One does see examples of significant failures in policing, and I suppose there always have been such failures and one only gets a brief glimpse into the trials in videos like this, but I share your concerns.

They will destroy you, and love every moment, while assassinating your character, behind your back, so no one will believe you & if you tell people will already believe you’re a spiteful, crazy, liar who’s probably addicted to something. They lie like they breathe. Eventually, death looks damn good because, at least then, they can’t hurt you anymore. THAT is what it’s like to love them, when THEY HATE YOU. Not for any particular reason, they FIND reasons, because they NEED someone to blame, hate, fault and abuse, because that makes they feel BETTER. Hurting YOU, makes them feel powerful & HAPPY.
