I disagree. I was bullied all through school and was not considered attractive, but that only served to make me a stronger person and made me more defensive. I do agree he didn’t want to give up what he viewed as possibly his only shot at having a relationship. Very sad how we treat each other.
I agree. I was listening to this without watching and when Dr Grande said how unattractive Bruce was. I had to look. I said " He wasn't so bad"! He definitely got better looking as he matured. But adolescent bullying stays with you your entire life and distorts your self image.
I've noticed that many teenagers that are not conventionally attractive actually grow into very good-looking people - the strong features that overwhelm their face when younger become striking as they grow into their adult looks. But, of course, by that time the emotional damage is done. I don't think he was ever especially unattractive but as an adult he most definitely wasn't. I know it goes both ways, but there is something really evil in women who play men like this. It's so sad, he deserved a wife who built him up, but he got.....this. And she wasn't even particularly attractive, she was hardly trophy wife territory. Meh. I hate narcs and users of any gender, but I think because I'm female, I particularly despise this sort of woman. Apart from anything else, they contribute to the stereotype which has an effect on the perception of us all. Vile woman and poor Bruce.

That isnot helped by a system intent on brainwashing boys that all men are bad and must atone and confess for the original sin of being male. Some react by becoming misogynous and others by self flagellation of their own male identity and becoming super nice. It's really unhealthy in both cases. We have an epidemic of male mental illness (which will be blamed on the patriarchy of course) coming in the pipeline. Incel culture is blowback from ideological feminist madness where the only "good man" is the man who hates himself.
@@budoyong1 you are right, you can be the most attractive person in the world but if you don’t have confidence in yourself then it doesn’t matter. So basically anyone holds the power within themselves to make themselves incredibly confident and happy or very sad and useless
This is usually how it goes. A persons left esteem and confidence are injured early and they view themselves through that lens for the rest of their lives, even if they grow into their looks.
Here's a sad example of a man who had a brilliant mind, but yet lacked understanding of human nature, and the ability for people to be deceptive. It's too bad Bruce didn't understand his own self-worth, as there were many women out there that would've loved to have a caring and supportive man like him. RIHP Bruce.
Poor guy. He had a good, caring soul. Unfortunately, sometimes that can be used against people with good, caring souls by psychopaths and narcissists (of which there are many in society) who look for these people specifically to get what they want. Disgusting fact of life.
It's amazing that people see a case study like Bruce, and then complain about red pill/masculinity content. It's not perfect, but that stuff quite literally has saved lives.
It is true; I have observed persons like him or her married to great (inside out) looking person. I am considered one of those- neither too intelligent or good looking but I won a lottery! Bruce is decent looking and highly intelligent married to soulless woman.
Bruce was not a bad looking guy, he just felt that way because of the bullying. It definitely leaves a lifelong deep wound in more sensitive, good hearted people. He deserved and could’ve done so much better.
Her problem was she thought she’s intelligent but it appears she is a moron. I feel bad for her son having a horny mother who’s also a lowlife criminal. May she rot in jail.
The ultimate in simping. People wonder why some men hate women but bad experiences can account for a lot. Boys are taught that women are nice and men are bad, really bad, responsible for all the evils in the world and are encouraged to confess and atone for the original sin of being male and all that. It's high time some intellectual rigour replaced ideology in schools.
Listen ,when people that usually are Ugly, Shy ,social akward or lonely get love bombed and Fall in "love " with a atractive "Jezabel" woman ,there is nothing you can say or do to stop this romance
@valnsky It truly is a match made in Hell. Empathic people give so much to others and leave so little to themselves. Narcissistic people feel no empathy themselves, but they are WELL AWARE of empathy in others. Empathic people are an absolute gold mine to them! The narcissist says "Let me see just how much I can manipulate this person into giving me. The empath says "Maybe if I give just a little bit more, this person will finally love and appreciate me". The narcissist will never actually reward the empath with validation, but they will hint at it just enough to give the empath a false hope so they keep giving. It's a textbook example of the old "carrot on a stick" metaphor, and it is every bit as evil as it sounds. Narcissists will do this to their spouse, and will even do it to their own children. Children, especially, will often love their parents unconditionally, and narcissistic parents enjoy the h**l out of it. Your spouse my finally file for divorce and cut off all contact, but children will often forgive a lifetime of abuse. I know a woman once, who continued to care for her mother up until her death, letting her mother live with her, even while her mother was screaming and swearing at her, and INTENTIONALLY defecating on the floor so that she had to clean it up (and continuing to yell and swear at her while she did so). She was smiling and laughing when the old bat finally died, and we were so happy for her. However, it was a mystery to us why her mother, who couldn't even change her own clothes anymore, had such a hold on her until her dying day.

Agreed 100%. Her delusions of high self worth and entitlement is probably what gave her the confidence to pursue him. And unfortunately for poor Bruce, she was probably the first woman who showed such an interest in him. Honestly, she could have probably been a 1 and Bruce would have fallen in love with her... but yeah, he could have easily married a 10 if he really knew his own self worth.

Monster is a good word for her. I am so sorry for Bruce. Crappy self-esteem puts so many people (men and women) to “settle” for so much less than they deserve. The monsters would still find targets, but they’d have to work harder.

I am always surprised how some people can be exceedingly intelligent in some areas but lack common sense in other areas. As for Rebecca, she was truly an abomination. How unlucky for Bruce to ever meet someone like this. Thank you, Dr. Grande.❤
People can be smart but dealing with something that you have longed for and never experienced is something different. Women…younger in most cases with decent looks as Rebecca wasn’t beautiful can break many men of this caliber. A dose or the possibility of the 📦 will make those men simp at a level you may not be able to imagine and it’s quite unfortunate
Bruce reminds me of my dad. Willing to let any degree of abuse or manipulation slide on a whim, for the sake of keeping his partner happy. After an entire childhood of living through him enabling his partners, I've been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, among other things. Go figure.
Rebecca convicted herself with how she treated Bruce. Even if there was less evidence a jury would convict her just based on how awful she was to him and then to just coldly end him like that.

If you wouldn't mind covering a story regarding a friend of mine named Christian Kennedy and his cousin, Matthew Redd. I'm in the US army and Kennedy was in my unit as a military intelligence specialist on ft bragg. He was a small fellow maybe 5'5 130lb or something and he was a good sport about being teased about it and a very good soldier. Everyone liked him. Recently he shot someone to death during a fight with someone accused of abusing one of his relatives. Him and his cousin are now charged with murder. It doesn't make sense why he would do something like this. I'd be very interested in listening to your analysis about what you think could have occurred in a situation like this. Thank you.
I always think if someone is being a good sport about being teased they are usually seething inside. Putting a good front on is the best way they’ve found to get on with things but resentment and anger build up. Teasing someone all the time about their personal traits, physical or otherwise, isn’t a kind or wise thing to do
@eveapple4928 No, I knew him well. He wasn't seething with rage. He was a good sport. He was influenced by someone older who he trusted and thought it was self defense when he pulled the trigger because he didn't understand the law.
Ok so this one made me SO mad. Bruce just wanted a nice lady to spend his life with and unfortunately instead of a lady he came across a DEMON. And didn't have the experience to see she was using him and taking him for a ride. Poor bruce, he deserved SO much better. Im shaking with rage hope shes going through hell in prison
I was listening to this on headphones while cleaning and when he described Bruce as not being physically attractive, I expected some Quasimodo looking guy. Bruce was actually a handsome man IMO, he looked like a great guy who deserved a GOOD woman to value him and make him happy. RIP Bruce, you deserved so much more in life 😢 F you Rebecca.
I can only get mad at this story otherwise I would have a deep sadness and feel horrible! This nice, kind man deserved so much better and ended up with this vile, evil piece of s#*t!
There was another woman on a true crime show that did the same thing. She found A sexually inexperienced man told him that they wouldn’t have sex until they were married all the while she was having sex with other people. I think the only big difference between this case and the other case is Bruce had more money than the other guy that was also killed after he got married. Just like Bruce and Rebecca, that other couple never consummated their marriage. It’s sad how some women are so manipulative. Instead of appreciating having a guy that hadn’t slept with 50 women before they met, they manipulated them with plans of murder.
It's sad how some men AND women manipulate and mrder. It's not just one gender, and if we are to look at domestic m.rdrs it is morrly to be the man who unalives the woman.
Yeah if he had a good heart and morals and wasn’t promiscuous-he was a catch…. and predators aren’t shy, so she got her hands on him, sadly. Innocence is a great thing but naivety is so dangerous.
What a perfect storm of a tragedy 😢 Bruce was an innocent babe, and that woman was a vicious wolf! Very glad Bruce had some justice, and those scumbags are in prison for the rest of their lives! Thank you again, Dr. Grande, for your excellent analysis 👏
This story is hard to watch but Rebecca and her cousins were sent to prison for the rest of their lives. Rebecca appealed in 2006 and the LWP sentence upheld.
I had never heard of this case before. The callousness of Rebecca preying on Bruce’s low self esteem was totally abhorrent. Making him beg and humiliating him at almost every single turn cheeses me off. She’s awful. Bruce sounded like a good guy. He obviously needed some guidance to be aware of vultures like Rebecca to stop from being taken advantage, but hey, I’m sure we’ve all been naive at some point or another in our lives. I know I have. A very important lesson in what happens when you have a lack of boundaries in a relationship as well as holding to ideals of someone not congruent with how they treat you.
Yes! Unfortunately, the lesson of this story is being missed by most of the comment section who wants to point finders at genders. PEOPLE, HUMANS have the capacity for bad things. Stop allowing yourselves to be taken on rides because you want sex/companionship. See the person for who they are, not what you hope they will be.
Very sad situation. Where was his family? How could he be that naive? You never mentioned if he had any siblings; someone to give him some feedback. He seemed like such a nice guy. This is one reason why some men don't trust women.
Nonsense. What does the current "PUA" trend and illegal sex tourism consist of, if not 99% men? Occasionally some conniving females try to copy the wicked ways of dishonest confidence tricksters, but the balance remains heavily on the male side of the equation.
@Charmae Sykes he also moved in with his parents after their honeymoon, so he definitely had family around him...if they advised him on his relationship he obviously didn't listen to them
"This is one reason why some men don't trust women." Dude look at the statistics of men who kill their partners vs. women who kill theirs. This comment is laughable.
I am constantly amazed at how two siblings can presumably be raised in the same home by the same parents, and one turns into a monster without conscience who is willing to have her husband wiped out so she can have his money and the other turns into a decent human being who is willing to go to the police and let them know her sister tried to get her to find someone to do the deed. I also saw this in the Chandler Halderson case. Chandler was nothing but a liar and basically a NOTHING and what he did to his parents was monstrous and his brother, to all accounts, was a decent and productive member of society. How do siblings who are raised together turn out so differently? And sadly, Bruce had nowhere near enough life experience to put up with a manipulator like Rebecca.
Simple, one sibling takes 100% responsibility for his/her life, actions and forges his/her own character made of steel, the other sibling takes zero responsibility for his/her life.
My dad worked in a juvenile correctional center for young sex offenders, and said sometimes, you read the file and know exactly why that kid turned into a monster, but sometimes, that kid has good parents, stable home life, no history of any abuse whatsoever, no red flags, or kid had been in therapy and the parents were doing everything right, and yet he decided to molest the neighbors' five-year-old (for example). You can do everything the best you can and still have a monster.
Don't give her sister too many awards. After she was approached about hiring a hitman; she refused to participate BUT she didn't tell the victim that he had torpedoes out there gunning for him either. Also she didn't go to the police before hand to tell about the murder solicitation. That could have stopped this whole thing. Sounds to me like she got scared after it happened that she might get swept up as an accessory before the fact so she went to the cops and made a deal.
I enjoy how you speculate without judgment. You're open opinions are always something that keeps me watching. I've watched many different podcasts on crime yet Dr Grande puts a twist on his show which keeps me interested.

He looks like a very sexy Freddy Mercury... she looks very average...
@@randomhumanoidblob4506 Thank you for your comment. It means a lot to me to have read this. I actually have had a similar story, the only difference being that I physically survived it, but lost all my assets in the process. I think my problem was that because of low self-esteem and the ensuing deficit of experience, I wasn't even able to tell the difference and therefore was an ideal victim for my female predator.
Feel sorry for Bruce, he genuinely seems like a nice guy and sadly he met a monster
@WrongOpinion If he wanted a hot wife why'd he marry Rebecca?
Nah, he was a shallow beta that wanted a hot wife instead of someone that would treat him rightm
@coweatsman this is an incel comment lol
@coweatsman if you're letting internet content determine how you feel and operate as a man you were not a man in the first place.
In the wedding pictures he’s actually way more attractive and out of her league then she ever was! such a bummer for him, he didn’t deserve this crap
the sad part is maybe he dont have that confidence in his self
@@budoyong1 you are right, you can be the most attractive person in the world but if you don’t have confidence in yourself then it doesn’t matter.
So basically anyone holds the power within themselves to make themselves incredibly confident and happy or very sad and useless
Yeah, she was ugly inside and out.
he looks so happy in that picture. i feel upset for him
This is usually how it goes.
5th level nerd
amen God bless very nice words
Bruce was not a bad looking guy, he just felt that way because of the bullying. It definitely leaves a lifelong deep wound in more sensitive, good hearted people. He deserved and could’ve done so much better.
I can’t tell which is more infuriating; her non-stop BS, or his unwillingness/inability to call her out on her obvious lies.
Her problem was she thought she’s intelligent but it appears she is a moron. I feel bad for her son having a horny mother who’s also a lowlife criminal. May she rot in jail.
yep. He should have told her to tuck and roll from go.
He probably has Asperger's syndrome.
He hadn’t met anyone like her before, and most likely didn’t understand that anyone could be that evil!
It makes me really sad when a very vulnerable person meets a monster and are unable to walk away from the BS.
Sad how she gaslight him and took advantage of his hard work and loyalty. I wish he had some friends that he could fall back on.
There are a lot of people in his situation being used for their money and good nature. Some of them would not leave even if they knew about it.
BRUCE WAS EITHHER STUPID O R LOW SELF ESTEEM..
I learned this in my early twenties. Whoever cares the least about a relationship has the most control. This woman was a really horrible person.

Crazy, right
How sad that Bruce was so impacted by his adolescent peers that he carried low self esteem throughout life. He was not bad looking at all! Those childhood bullies affected him up until his death. That’s so sad.

I always think if someone is being a good sport about being teased they are usually seething inside. Putting a good front on is the best way they’ve found to get on with things but resentment and anger build up. Teasing someone all the time about their personal traits, physical or otherwise, isn’t a kind or wise thing to do

I think the only big difference between this case and the other case is Bruce had more money than the other guy that was also killed after he got married. Just like Bruce and Rebecca, that other couple never consummated their marriage.

Unfortunately thats where nature wins against nurture
Simple, one sibling takes 100% responsibility for his/her life, actions and forges his/her own character made of steel, the other sibling takes zero responsibility for his/her life.
parent/s treating their children differently. eg favourites and scapegoats

Hello 👋 good Dr. Grande ... love ❤️ your consistency
Thank God for Becka's sister you did the right thing girl
I’m glad she spoke up but I wish she would have said something before the murder
Poor dude. He just wanted to be happy.
This case is depressing.
As a man that recently got separated from a narcissistic woman with histrionic traits this was incredibly chilling to see. Makes me wonder where it could have led if I didn't improve my insight and self-esteem through introspection enough to decide to divorce from her. She managed to get a restraining order against me on bogus charges to save her image and appear as the victim, but the divorce trials is coming where, I'll likely be from the start seen as the perpetrator due to my gender. Don't care, all I want is to get divorced from this creature and send her back to the shithole she came from (while I'm not rich, I'm a EU citizen and she's from South America and this is the supply that she was getting from me). I just want her gone from my life. Attacked my image, my friend group, my job.
Glad you are getting out, stay safe.
The story is the same in many many marriages.....only the endings are different.
This breaks my heart. Poor Bruce..:(
What a crying shame for Bruce. I lived in Whittier for a couple of years. There are many beautiful areas there - such as Friendly Hills. This woman is pure evil.
As a former life insurance agent, the insured would need to have a physical prior to the policy going into effect. So the buyer of the policy can forge it if they want, but it's actually not valid anyway
Good evening Dr. Grande. Great analysis. Both Bruce and Rebecca remind me of characters in I will tell, Shelly and Dave.
Because of lack of insight Bruce is dead, and Rebecca is in Jail.
Always love your videos. Learn something each and every time.
Such a shame and waste of a life. I would have loved to have been with someone as brilliant, kind, and caring as him. RIP Bruce
Sad thing is I know someone like this. She married in her words ‘the most unattractive and gullible man on the planet’, but the poor thing has good job and money. She refuses to get a job and boasts about sleeping with their decorator and her ex and spends money like there is no tomorrow. Her husband knows as people in his circle all try to beat some sense into him and would not leave.
They are narcissist, devils in human form
Thats the ugly head of codependency rearing itself strongly!

@@TheDweeb002 Been noticing this variously as well. What's behind it, I wonder?
give her a punch for the rest of us
These phenomenal analyses are never to be taken for granted. You have an ability to paint a picture that makes you forget that the images are in your head. These videos are one of the few reasons I still use this platform.
