Great passes! Your car is very close to the goals I have for my car!
Dude is doin alotta things right.
really diggin' the custom cai
What do you classify as "full bmr suspension"? Upper / lower control arms, Panhard bar, what else?
I saw you today 08/21/19 bad Ass car great driving👍
Your going 0-60 in the 3 second range
Hella bracket car.
i ran a 17 sec flat in 1/4 mile with my prius
Hey man what size tire were you running in the rear?? Is it the 27" qtp?
Fast af for the mods love your 5.0 wish mine could be that fast
glen lantz Thanks, your car can be fast with the right mods
I get a lot of wheel hop when I launch. I just need those suspension upgrades!
+CustomGrow420 Blaze it!!!
My goal is to keep my car stock and run high 11s. I think the Cobra jet and some long tube headers will get me there.
You have anything done to the rear diff? Welded tubes or a brace especially since you're launching at 7k?
More nice passes. Very consistent, almost in the 10's! Are you running stock axles and t-lok?
Thanks bro, I did four 11.1s passes in a row, the last 3 three were almost back to back 10 min and then 5 min. I think I have a pretty good shot of getting into 10s once I get the 60 ft time a little bit better. Everything in the drivetrain is stock besides the clutch and driveshaft.
How's the MT-82 holding up?
Love these vids bro Lol.. Been looking for a good tuner and it looks as though Shaun knows his shit.. I've had Lund for a year now.. best to date has been 12.1@114mph on MT's
I'm running: Cj setup w/monoblade, Frpp Cai, Stainless works full performance connect exhaust(catless) w/LT's, Bob's oil separator, DSS 1pc Cf driveshaft, Frpp shifter & blowfish bracket, stock 3.73 Torsen diff, 6M. Next up are a WoTbox and a McLeod clutch/flywheel ;) But my speed just hasn't been there... Have you ever had other tuners tune your car or only Aed? What rpm do you shift at btw? I usually try to do 7800-7900 but it's hard on the stock clutch at times and I now have my car acting up throwing what I believe is a Tps code which made it much more difficult this past weekend. Now it hardly wants to stay running at all Lol
I was thinking the same thing on the 60ft, it's still very good. Have you tried dropping the upper control arm down to the bottom hole for a little more anti-squat? Might be worth a shot if you haven't already tried it.
I honestly think it should be high 1.4s to low 1.5s, but the track prep in sac isn't that good. I already did, it's mounted in the lower whole in the uca mount. Thanks man! Stay tuned...
What is basic weight reduction??
Need this shift light!
Hello,
I need your advice again :P, I ordered a Tremec magnum XL 2.97 ratio with RXT twin clutch, lightened steel flywheel, aluminium drive shaft, Viking double adjustable shocks and strange struts. and 4.56 ford racing gears.
Now I will buy the welds racing RT-S 15x10 wheels but I need your advice on the full slicks tires. I am leaning towards the Hoosier 275/60/15 but dont know if I should go with the stiff wall or soft wall. and ofc the relocation bracket for the sway-bar.
Which one is better ? i will be doing hard launches like you, will there be any clearance issues or rubbing ? thank you in advance :D
i forgot to mention, Moser 31" axles, and Eaton true-track differentials :).
Hi my friend,
Woow sounds like things got serious :p congrats on the new goodies, I have Hoosier 28 x 10.50-15 and I really like them. They are stiff wall and that's what you should get in my opinion. Part # 18155, I got them from summit racing.
BTW I was back home last month in KSA and was really looking forward to attending Qatar Racing that was supposed to be on January 13 or 14 not sure, but since the event got postponed till the end of the month I couldn't be there. So, hopefully next summer I get to attend it for the 1st time.
Good luck on your build !
Mazen416 Man i wish I could have met you there :(. oh well maybe another time Insha Allah :D.
I will take your advice and go with them :D. I'm still running those heavy 18" rims upfront but Insha Allah later on it will be changed. and thanks a lot for your help brother (^_^).
Thanks again :D. will be posting my runs by next month insha Allah when they track opens again :D.
Good luck with your goal to 10s and i know you will do it Insha Allah and with your Studies (^_^).
You're welcome brother :) and thank you for the wishes.
How much of a difference is it running E85 over 93 ?
91 to E85 = 12rwhp
What is the 3 rectangle push button you have below the lights switch. It look like what the shelby or boss have for launch control ! Just curious, don`t have that in my 14Gt.
Really nice setup too. Wish i could get e85 In Alberta
Mathieu Mallette These are for adjusting gauges colors, language, units, trips, mileages info, etc
Mazen416 Good ! And what do you mean by bmr rear suspension ? Lower control arm, panhard bar, spings ? Is it a package or something ? I have a 2014 Gt with stainless works headers, x pipe, exhaust, boss intake, bama 93 tunes, stock tires (245's) cold air intake, H&R springs and holy cow, cannot get a proper launch with my 3.73 gears. I consider myself as a really good driver but all that power are just brutal without any other suspension than springs and stock tires... Even with my 2-step it just wont do a 0-60 in less than 5.0.
Bro what Springs are you running ? and if I am not mistaken you have the Viking shocks right ? what are your set up for them ( compression and rebound ? ) and do you have instagram ?
BTW, best number so far is 11.8 @ 114 MPH :D. next step are the springs, JLT CAI and headers with O/R X pipe :D
Ahmed Qatar
Hi Ahmed, in those runs my car had stock springs, but I am running BMR drag springs right now. Yes, I have viking shocks and I change the setting accordingly I have had good 60 ft times though with 14c and 4r with its current setup. When I had the stock springs I used to set them on 12c and 14. So, there's not really a setting that works for every car, it's a matter of trial and error. My suggestion is play with it and take videos, so that you see with the car is doing and what it wants. My best 60 ft times are 1.50 and 1.51, but I haven't been to the track in a long time. I might post these runs soon though. congrats on your new best ! how much power is your car putting down on the dyno?? and what is your weight reduction ? My IG: mazensf
What rpm are you launching at and what 2 step are you using bro!
Carlos Villareal 7,000 rpm launch
hello friend.. did the electric water pump gave you noticeable diffrence?
+Yousif Saleh hi, I am not too sure about that since I put other mods with it, but I notice that it makes my car's performance very consistent. hope that helps
+Mazen416
Are you powershifting, or just speed shifting? What shifter are you using. Thank you
+smokeum12 power-shifting, and it's a Barton shifter
+Mazen416
Good stuff.. I found a place that beefs up the mt82 for a decent price. I'm going to give it a shot before I drop the big $$ on a Magnum.
Are you using the SCT two step and how much does your car weigh?
Yes, I use the SCT 2 step. It weighed 3580 lbs with me in it in these runs. But, I have dropped some more weight since then. Thanks
Nice!
hmm chased down the Fox body, you will get there soon enough
Awesome numbers bro,
I am running 12.2 with only a tune, GT500 mufflers and semi slicks. will go with 3.73 soon and also going to buy the CJ IM.
would like your advice though, I have heard that the pistons would not handle RPM over 7400 or something will snap in the engine.
Also concerning the launch, I am kinda afraid that the MT82 would not handle such hard launch or the axles would break.
would love to hear your feed back since your already running this setup. and yeah I am going with ARH long tube headers and O/R X pipes as well as one piece drive shaft.
That's a good ET ! considering the little mods. You should be able to run high 11's with full slicks and skinnies up front on the same setup. I had the rev limiter sat at 7500 RPM on the stock IM for over a year and didn't have issues besides one common issue with Ford vehicles. My rev limiter on the CJ setup is almost 8k RPM, and it's been about 3 months and thankfully I haven't had any issues. As far as drivetrains and handling I don't know man lots of people have had issues with that, but one piece DS is a must ... get the safety loop for your own sake as well. I guess if you're lucky enough you should be fine lool. Me personally haven't had issues with that, say Mashallah :) Thanks and Good luck!
Mazen416 Mash' Allah :D. Don't worry that's the first thing I have said when I saw your Videos :D. keep up the good work and thanks A lot for the replay and info.
Wish me luck ^_^
Thanks I appreciate that :) good luck and please don't hestiate to contact me if you need any help
What have you done for weight reduction?
Brian David
IIRC in those runs the car weighed 3580 lbs with me in it, and the weight reductions were lightweight battery, steeda red supp, front swaybar delete, rear seat delete, and the drag wheels setup
What are you classifying as a "Basic" weight reduction?
Thomas Lorence probably gutted trunk and removed the back seats.
