Wow! Cool video! Left a like for the video. Thank you for sharing
Ohhhh so much power!!! Love it
Thanks man!!
Whats the treadwear on these tires? My strip is about 35 km away (~22 miles). I was looking at the et street s/s and people are reporting around 9,000-15,000 miles with daily use and going to the track a few times a year. They also seem to hook pretty hard. Some people are puling 1.6-1.7 60-ft with a Coyote Mustang. If the Street Rs can last 3000-4000 miles that will be good enough for me. Have you tried them out on the street? Do they hook well?
Impressive. You need adjustable rear suspension really bad though lol. High 10s prob if you were not bouncing all the way down the strip.
What is your 60' time? Maybe try some Lakewood rear drag shocks
Damn, she was planting so hard it left divets.
Fun!!
ive got a 2011 with almost the same setup as you, minus the tires and clutch, i was wondering what gear you start your burnout in? my best time so far is 12.29 @118 on street tires with a 2.0 60'
I normally use 2nd gear for the burnouts. The tires made a world of difference I would recommend looking into getting some if run at the track often. With the same set up but on street tires my best has been 12.08 @ 119.
JustAStang thats awesome, I live in Florida so it’s been super hot/raining every track day and I ran the 12.2 in 90 degree weather I’m excited to go back in a few months
What shifter would you recommend for an auto 2012 mustang gt?
You wouldn't need one being an auto.
@@JustAStang lmao maybe he meant like the shift knob....
Do you mean gears? Lol
What would you recommend for mid 11’s? Cheapest way possible but quality of course. I was thinking o/r x pipe, roush mufflers, cai, e85, Lund tune.
That set up sounds like it would do it to me. One thing I see some people forgetting about (including my self) is adding parts for power before doing the suspension. If I had it to do over with I would have started with slicks, suspension, tune, MGW shifter (or stall if auto).
JustAStang what suspension would you recommend for daily and occasion tracks
COYOTE swap or you get DEPORTED check koni out i have them and they are amazing very stiff and feels a lot more aggressive
is your tire the 26x10.5 or 28x11.5? i just bought the 26x10.5 because i got the 15x8 racestar, i figured if its not enough i would go to the 15x10 and then get the 28x11.5, sorry to keep bothering you about it! and just curious how hard did you launch off these?? over 4000??
They are 28X11.5 on 15x8 racestar (the tires will still fit but you can tell the tire is wider than the wheel). I didn't want to do the sway bar relocation that is needed to run 15x10.
I haven't launched them at 4k and had them hook yet.. the track prep could use some work and anything above 3500-3800 ish will spin to much. I am still on stock suspension setup for now.
You're not bothering me at all I am glad to try and help others out. (unless you drive a camaro and trying to go faster than me lol)
I didnt know that those tires would still fit thats awesome! guess i will be ordering those next time lol! and yeah i have done cobra jet springs and rear lower control arms but i am still skeptical about launch hard, had any problems with your axles or are you even worried about anything breaking? do you trust it all?
I haven't really worried about the axles that much. From what I have read they normally hold up (2015+ is a different story). I have worried about the transmission and how long it would last.... and 2 weeks ago it got me. It was my first pass of the night everything was going good then I grabbed 4th with a loud POP followed by loud knocking coming from around the shiftier.
Took it to a local shop to have it checked out and as i feared they told me it was coming form inside the transmission. I shipped it off to Ben Calimer for a rebuild and level 2 build :(
JustAStang if you use the whiteline swaybar you don't need a relocation bracket as it doesn't mount in the same spot. I cut my bracket of the stock swaybar mount off. I have 26x10-15 right now on 3.31 gears. I'll probably later go to 28x12-15 tires as that's the street tire size I ran and still had room.
How much wheel hp did u make with this setup, if you remember. I have basically the same setup making 427 wheel and I’m curious how yours compares
Listening to 4th right before Finnish line sounds like your letting go to early might need a higher gear like 3.90s
Hey man I see you dont post anymore videos of the red stang... do you get rid of it?
Did*
I still have it but I broke it a while back and haven't got it back together just yet.
@@JustAStang that's good to hear man! Love ur vids! How did you break it if you dont mind me asking?
@@BrandonQuincy Thank you very much!! I first broke the trans and I did an upgrade to the TR6060. I might have had the car fixed maybe 4 months and then twisted an axle tube. At that point, I was just over it (and my bank account too). Lately, I have been buying a few parts here and there so hopefully it won't be too much longer.
What psi were you running in your rear tires??
Normally around 15-17 psi just depending on now the track is that day.
Nice runs! What rear gear you running? 373s?
At the time I had 3.31s. When the MT82 broke I did a TR6060 swap and 4.30s rear gear.
@@JustAStang thank you. Good to know! And 430s....you are brave lol
nice! whats your 8th mile time in this slip?
I am not 100% sure but I think it was around 7.4-7.5
+JustAStang nice! I never hit the qtr yet, so trying to gauge my time from an 8th. I ran a 7.5 at 91. Its on my channel check it! Thx!
+JustAStang i have a 14 yote minor bolt ons
brodgerz I just watched a few of your runs. I think we would be a very good match if we ran each other.
The best ever I have done was 7.399 in the 1/8 at 96mph and was 11.48 at 120mph
+JustAStang thats great! I don't have headers and i have 3.31's and stock IM. Maybe with more seat time i can bring it down to a 7.4-7.3.
Launching in first or second?
yamaha KTM life 105 launching in first and 2nd for the burnout
@@JustAStang do you use ebrake at all for the burnout?
@@jonathanvazquez9685 no not for the burnout but do use my left foot on the break to help it in place. One track I raced at it the starting line wasn’t perfectly level and I would use the ebrake to keep from rolling backwards.
@@JustAStang cool, I appreciate the info
Mods?
At the time of the video - Kooks headers
, off road X, pype bomb axle back exhaust, Steeda Cai, Single piece drive, MGW shifter, RXT Clutch, Lund 93 Octane Tune, and MT ET Street R tires
Do u still have the stang
Do you still own this car??
Are you still here in NC
I sure am
Did you ever got her fixed
And do you still go to the track?
We should link up. I got a few friends here as well. Am just waiting on my motor to be rebuilt. Then adding more power
Car isn't ready yet but should be by the end of the month. I went to the track Sunday for test n tune.
What size et street r and what rear end gear do you have? Also what rpm are you leaving?
+13SS LOL They are 28 x 11.5R15s.. I still have my stock 3.31s gears.. Normally leaving somewhere between 4k to 4300.... I need to do some suspension work to get my 60ft a little lower.
Still have the car?
I do, but It's down right now. I twisted an axle tube and still haven't got it fixed yet.
My biggest fear lol. Just installed a 2018 manifold on mine went to track check out my recent video, wasn’t happy. Wanted to be in 11s
Time was 12.020
You have less mods and running 11s, jealous lol.
@@CoyoteDe24 Don't be too jealous not long after I got my personal best of 11.4 the MT82 gave up. Did a TR6060 swap and adjustable shocks. I was still trying to get the settings lined out when I twisted the axle.
JustAStang man the axels & the tranny, my heart hurts for you. Lol you going for the 10s I’m assuming with that new tranny?
Have you had any issues breaking rear axles launching that hard?
In a manual the transmission will normally go before the rear end. I broke it and upgraded to the tr6060 from the GT500.
Around the end of the season last year my I twisted an axle tube :(
Haven't even looked at it to see how bad it is yet but I had the axle tubes welded not long before it broke. I have a feeling it was because of bad welds.
I’ve had a twisted tube and let me tell it’s no fun
JustAStang I am probably going to have mine welded as I have to rebuild the diff already.
Fuckin amurica!
needs some rear end work lol
Yes, it did, it was on stock suspension at the time
What is your 60' time? Maybe try some Lakewood rear drag shocks
+13SS LOL The weekend before I had my best ET and 60ft.. 1.69 60ft with a 11.48 @ 120 mph.... I haven't had to many passes with the current set up so I am still trying to dial in the right launch along with right air pressure.
