More talent on that stage than on the last 10 Grammy shows combined.
Aint that truth! This kids is what talent looks and sounds like.

Hippys were right..and we had the best of the best music, and even the country and western....Willie and then I wrote album.....what did willie says, I may be old by at least our music didn't want you to jump from a moving car....
True true true
Say it again. Amen!
Jackson ❤❤❤❤
Crosby and Nash also sang the backup vocals on the original recording. Still sounded amazing years later. RIP David Crosby
And they had bgv’s on ‘Doctor My Eyes’ as well.
JB fan since early 70’s !
Never knew they sang the BV’s 😳
Jackson B.
A class act.
Yes indeed. This may be the best live recording ever and maybe the best recording ever. Fantastic.
Jackon Browne has continued to play at a high level well into his 70s This is encouraging for people such as myself as I wish to continue what I do now in moderation for another 20 years as I will be close to 70 then.... The longer you live the better your odds of living a longer life. Exercise is the true key to push back aging.@@stargazer6753
Four incredible musicians and vocalists from my generation. Never gets old...

Aren't we lucky ..born at the right time!!
There are no words to describe the thrill I get from listening to "my"music the harmonies are pure heaven ❤️ RIP David Crosby 🙏
Hello Cindy
How are you doing?
It’s nice meeting you here!
“I’m gonna find myself a girl,
who can show me what laughter means, and we’ll fill in the missing colours, in each other’s paint by number dreams”.
One of the best lines of any song I’ve ever heard.
I agree. Jackson is quite the poet and I've been crazy about him since the beginning.
Had a guy say those lines to me many years ago, and I came back at him with the next lines. Not exactly the romance of my lifetime, but it was fun for a minute.
It really is one of the best. Well said!
"and when the morning light comes streamin in..we'll get up and do it again."
Agreed
@@angelbulldog4934 Keep being the angel bulldog.
Jackson Browne has been there for me so many times. I love him so much. ❤❤❤
After watching this many times , I am just overwhelmed by the talent on that stage and the meaning of the song.
At 70 years of age...the song, still holds up....thank you
The song can't be 70! Jackson Browne is only 72. But it will hold up forever.
73 here
Are you 71?
Yep me too
@@laurencesiegel9362 missed the point I'm 70
Ok, this song was written in 1976, how is this STILL so true?! How have we not moved on from the struggle for the legal tender? God this song is so perfect, I just can't write how much this resonates with me.
Cause people are still pretending. Safely living small.
Struggling day in a day out for the legal tender. Being good, decent citizens who get up every day, pack their lunch and work behind the scenes only to look forward to coming home to one's they love and stroll through the cool of the evening after a hectic day. Sounds like a dream, illusion or fantasy to so many people struggling so much now a days. Keep singing the song and the magic will never die.
Capitalism run amuck.
This performance just brings me to tears. Knowing the deep friendship between CSN and Mr. Browne, seeing the look between Crosby and browne at the beginning of the song, and seeing Crosby and Nash reprise their original roles as the backing vocalists…. Not to mention the song itself being a freakin masterpiece…. It’s just a lot of emotion packed into 6 minute video. Bless you all, guys.
Hello, how are you doing, how is the weather treating you today?
I miss David so much, makes me sad 😞
And that kids, is how it’s done. No auto tune, actual voices and people playing musical instruments. 👍
You got that right !!
Yep👍
"Say it again - AMEN!"
Also no odd costumes , pyrotechnics , lasers , dancing , or crude displays . Respect for the audience .
🥀AMEN🥀
How blessed I've been to be alive when Jackson Browne, CSNY and The Eagles were in their prime.
Nick Nickelsen ...keep on... never surrender...
I couldn't agree more, brother.
Yeah, I know! Haven't listen to him or alot o other artists from out generation in years, and this brings back so many good memories, but I can't believe jhow in the blink of an eye,it is gone!?!
Me Too !
And we're talkin the Bernie Leadon/ Randy Meisner Eagles!!
Jackson Browne's voice is like that of an old friend that calls to me. Back to those days of greatness and glory. I will never tire of listening to him.
Jackson brown reminds me of the eagles they were such good friends
Well said Terry...wish I could have seen him in person. My favorite is STAY. I still get goose bumps when I play it.

We had tickets to see Jackson Browne with James Taylor and then the pandemic hit. They sent an e mail saying hold on to the tickets, they are hoing the tour will be held next year!
I may be only 14 but I stand by it this is my music man today’s music will never compare to something as beautiful as this. This song has helped me through some hard times so I always go back and watch the dvd I have of this concert to feel better. 🤘🏻❤️
Hey man you have a good ear, and great taste in music for one so young, always have your own opinion and do not follow the sheep. Baaaaaaa d crap music. Keep listening to Jackson Browne and listen to the lyrics!!

Right on, man. Never stop listening - music will never fail you . . .
Baby, we have been doing that for 50 years. Welcome, you have excellent taste, lol. Peace
You know you have made it to the top when you have Crosby and Nash singing backup for you. So much talent there.
And when you get Crosby and Browne to sing backup?
A real gem by four of the best
RIP David Crosby

Hearing Jackson singing this song with the way it captures the heartbreak of the broken promise of one whose dreams have been allowed to be crushed, gives me the chills. It is an amazing insight into the illusion of American culture at times, and its affect on the human spirit. I don't believe anyone writes with the insight and depth about the human experience that Jackson does. What a gift. May he continue indefinitely.
I LOVE this live version. As usual, the harmonies of Nash & Crosby were perfect. It looked like they were singing together for years.
Nash and Crosby. Nailed it. Thank you.
@@heatherc2939 The sooner Crosby & Nash kiss and make up the sooner we get back to superb harmonies like this. Never thought Joni would perform again so miracles do happen!
That's how I judge any performance. Is it as good or better than on an album.
@@wardnek RIP to David Crosby
They (Crosby and Nash) sang backup on the original recording. Pretty amazing!
I hope everyone in this country and beyond send their prayers and healing vibes to this guy, the poet troubadour of our younger years...❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely correct and we'll said... May this terrific music & musical talents that they poses in poetry and songs help to turn our world traveling back ti the "right" direction so nature and man & woman kind cam live in safety together
That feeling you get when the backups vocals are on fire and the goosebumps you get when you see Graham Nash and David Crosby singing them.
I wouldn't want a world without Jackson Browne
Between the longing for Love and the Struggle for the Legal Tender....nobody phrases it better than Jackson.............Greatest Songwriter of the Seventies for sure and haven't seen much since that comes close to him.........not to mention what a great Humanitarian He Is.......He Walks His Talk
Amazing performance! Back when musicians can play live and sound better than in the studio.

I feel like it was just yesterday when I was 16 and bought this album. 40+ years later I’m still listening and feeling like I did then. That’s what great music and songwriting can do.

4 iconic legends on one stage....they wrote and performed the anthems of so many of our lives....getting old sucks...you loose the friends on the radio you grew up with...and realize the hourglass does not have much sand anymore....
Getting old may suck, but it sure beats being dead, so enjoy your life while you can, 'cause it sure ain't going to be around forever.
The master artist playing with a whole stage of masters. Dam I grew up in such a potent musical era.
This song stands the test of time. Those lyrics-- can't beat them. "While the ships bearing their dreams sail out of sight."
Jackson brownes voice is awesome.....does not change at all...
The C S and N guys seem so respectful of how they sang their harmonies. Everyone loves Jackson Browne so much!!

@@Davidmoore-ib8xg why would you ask that
Not at all happy to admit I've reached the age when I'm happy to be immersed in nostalgia. Thanks for the music.
The talent and harmonies on this stage will NEVER be equaled. This is how We did it growing up. Pay attention kids. This is resl music and talent!!!
Jackson Browne is so so cool. Wonderful performance
the amount of talent on that stage--off the charts!
Jackson did everything for David Crosby in his bad days and probably saved his life more then once. So great to see him on stage with him. Singing such a great version of this song. I wish I had been there. It must have been amazing!!
Geez. This is awesome.
As evident by that fantastic grin at 00:51.
Graham Nash not Jackson was the one who paid Crosby’s way
David Crosby is a douche bag. He used and abused everyone that tried to help him through his troubled times. I went to a CSN concert. People began to sing along with some songs. Crosby stopped the performance and told the audience to shut up! How many other performers would have insulted their audience. As an example, BRUCE encourages his fans to sing along. You couldn't pay me enough money to see Crosby again. Arrogant SOB!
@@scottielover5415 I was at a CSNY Concert in Boston, and Neil Young did the same thing.
just watch Crosby as he acknowledges a fellow master song writer
This is such a great song. This is definitely the best live version I've heard..and I love how he sings it just like the recording. The whole band sounds great
These artist know how to write songs with real meaningful lyrics. They are masters of harmony as well! Loved their music back in the day and still today.
I took my mom to this concert...this was one of many beautiful highlights during this 6 hour concert, as she always loved Jackson Browne. God rest her soul. I'll forever be grateful for this memory with her.
God Bless you for posting that memory with your mom. Alot of us have lost our moms and will always remember her with fond memories and the special times we spent with her and the smiles and laughter shared.
MOM/GRANDMA "DRAGGED" TO TOO MANY BROADWAY SHOWS IN "THE CITY". GREW TO APPRECIATE THE CLASSICS, SHOW TUNES,EVEN "SWITCHED FROM VIOLIN TO TENOR". THANKS, MOM & MADEAR STAHL. R.I.P.
It's such a beautiful gift to be able to share such moments of beauty with our elders. I'm sixty five and my dad was a musician, ragtime piano but he died too soon and I took too long to awaken the Beatles and their peers took me away from these ideas I played piano but the guitar seduced me. Now whenever I hear someone like Bruce Hornsby I know dad would have loved his musicianship but he's gfone.

awww....how awesome! I'm 61 and going to see him for the first time here in Naples FL in April 2019! CANNOT WAIT!
Graham looked like he was really getting into singing that one!!! Its a pleasure seeing professional musicians and exceptional vocals. It doesn't get any better.
Simply beautiful.. love you JB.. love you David ..RIP and thank you for your beautiful music ..just perfect 🙏❤
His words will live on. A poet extrordinaire.
A treat to watch them performed together - Jackson Browne with CSN. It's as good as music can ever be.
Jackson's music stands up over the years. Thanks, again all.
The bonds that were formed all those years ago up in Laurel Canyon.
A special time with special people, not likely to happen again in today’s digital world.
Oh, to have been a fly on those walls
Imagine having CS&N as your BACKUP vocals????
Proof of just how great a writer/performer Jackson Browne is!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Old pros can still rock the House with songs that have meaning and emotion.
Oh my god I'm crying thinking of my youth

"Caught between the longing for love and the struggle for the legal tender". Brilliant words!
What does "the struggle for the legal tender" mean?
@@NowhereMan7 Legal tender is money, so struggle for money
So very true !!!!
I saw Jackson Brown for the lawyers in love tour back in the 80’s, was maybe 13 and to this day it was by far the best concert I have seen.
LIL is STILL a fave-- still crazy, after all these years!
They're not only greatest musicians and vocalists, but some of the greatest story tellers of our time. There songs are timeless. Never again will there be folks like them who were also great activists.
Say a prayer for the Pretender, who started out so young and strong, only to surrender.
That's 99 percent of us.

I did surrender a little but my hippie soul still dominates
My life story, now I’m just old.

SAME HERE spent a lot of time just digesting and yes, got through a lot.
Jackson's lyrics represent me and the era of the baby boomers. Saw him several times, one of the best and sincerely a good man. Once with a group of my lifeguards, who had insisted on taking me and 5 of them to see him in Hartford. The boss smoking MJ with his long time swimmers and guards, will never forget that evening or Jackson.
Well said. So true. What a performer ...all of them . Glad to be part of that era.
Can’t believe that I saw them 50 years ago. I’m so happy to still be in this world. Wonderful, wonderful world !
I have just 'discovered' Jackson Browne; wow, what a discovery!
David Crosby s smile of appreciation and his wink towards Jackson says everything about respect for a fellow musician and legend, for me . Love it 💚
Real music, real people... ❤
Hippies rock! Woodstock again...
I finally found this song. ❤
What a legendary line-up! Just saw Jackson at the Royal Albert Hall, London last weekend (June 24th 2017). He played this and was still rocking like a man of half his age. Long may he do so!
This brings back so many good memories of a time and place that we will never see again! Blink of an eye,but so blessed to have been part of that generation
Getting old is sometimes hard. And while your memory fades you can only look back at times and music of such a glorious time in America. Through the war, unrest, riots you always had the music of our youth.
Every time I hear this song I think of my dear friend Randy McBride. I miss you amigo
Man, I just cannot get enough of this! CSN with Jackson Brown, oh my gosh, and that guy on bass, WOW! They nailed this one. Beautiful! I truly thank you. So many great memories come bac k to me. Some great times becoming a man in the 70s. Then this, "the best", I still need to find me girl who can show me what laughter really means. Thank you. :-)
Greatness, nothing but greatness in that stage. What a privilege to be a witness to such greatness.
They just got up their and did there thing. People loved it. And always will.
Jackson Browne wow !!! Enough said !!!!!😎😎😎😎😎

this man is so deep!!! Excellent songwriter and still a great singer.
So good! Lots of love among these old friends and us fans.
This music does bring back memories of a time being young and restless, a time when love was so easy!
"When the morning light comes streaming in, we'll get up and do it again." An anthem for OUR generation! There is a reason that THIS music is still so relevant today
What a great back up band.... I saw Jackson Browne a Long time ago. Wow- still perfect.
Thanks folks I STILL LOVE IT!
Jackson is like a very fine wine! Gets better with age!
I mean no disrespect, and I like your wine-aging metaphor, but perhaps it's your listening abilities that have improved with age. I implore you to listen to These Days, a song Jackson wrote when he was only 16 that demonstrates how insightful he was to the human experience even at that young age. He seems to have needed no further aging.
But all his best work is from the 70s... If he only improved with time where are all his phenomenal albums and songs from the 80s 90s, 00s and today? I cant think of one single music artist whos best work is from their later years, it just doesnt work like that and I have no idea why you are trying to suggest otherwise with Jackson Browne.
@@NowhereMan7 Jackson Browne wrote “Human Touch” only a couple of years ago. It’s one of his best songs. And Neil Young wrote “Harvest Moon” - also one of his best songs - in his later years. These are two older singer songwriters whose all-time best work is at least matched by some of their more recent songs.
The talent up on that stage is just amazing !
What beautiful lyrics, invoking such strong imagery.Jackson alwayd seems to me to be coming from a place of introsption.Revealing real universal truths.Gotta love it.
What a hay day these guys had and are still having rock on.
