As much disharmony as there may have been off-stage...on-stage these guys were magic. Rest in peace, David Crosby. This remains my favorite song they ever performed.
Damn, all the music I grew up on. I am sooo happy to have grown up when I did. I'm 65 year old "girl", lol, & I wouldn't trade it for anything. I was raised on some of the best music ever. Perfect example right here.
I discovered this song (and this version of it) about 6 years ago. I haven't been able to stop listening to it since. A vocal harmony masterclass and a beautiful song ❤
Absolutely. To be able to leave something so incredible for everyone is amazing. My Dad introduced me to CSN. He passed away last year and I really miss talking with him about these guys.
My son's high school class sang "teach your children" to their parents at invocation. I will never forget it, and every time I hear this, no matter where I am, I can't speak or I'll cry 😢❤❤
This is my favorite Crosby, Stills and Nash song. I've grown old now and can understand what they were singing about. Life is too short to fake it, you'll feel a lot better standing up for who you are.
I bought this album in 20 year anniversary of the summer of love 1987 for those of you who were around in 67 an cant remember because you were tripping your face off . I also graduated high school that year in 87 . I was 17 getting ready to turn 18 that August . I have been in love with CSN for 33 years and I will always love wasted on the way I didn't have to turn 50 which I do this August to figure it out but I can say there are friends that I can't wait for them to figure it out .Cause I love you guys Travis Barcomb Andy Latimer Joel Allenbaugh and John Hope come on guys it's been 30 yrs this summer and I still love you all
I saw these guys at Woodstock 1969! Harmonies were second to none! Thank God some things never change! Rock in Peace David! You are loved and will be sorely missed!❤🎶🎼🎵🎤🎸
Everyone says I was born late. I was only 4 years old when Woodstock took place, yet I would have been there if I was older. Peace, pot and microdot my friends😊
Their harmony in that song is so beautiful. A lot of groups had good harmony, but something about Dave, Steve, and Graham's voices blending is even now after over 50 years, so magical
Each of C,S,&N are special in their own way. Nash is a very careful musician, Stills is never afraid to go and thrash his guitar, and Crosby is amazing in that his vocals never stand out, meaning his blending is so seamless as to be invisible. 💙🙏🏼
@loristoneking5671 listen to David and Graham do Guinnevere by themselves in concert, with Graham playing harmonica - haunting - the ending is EPIC, and the audience is blown away.

Just pure magic, these three guys....My heart is broken that "and now we are two", as Croz has flown away. But his music ....wow, such a legacy to live on. Timeless.
God, I love all three of these guys, and all of them together. Look at them -- three such different personalities, singers, people, but put them together and -- YIKES! We were so lucky to have their music during our coming-of-age years. I think I am a better person for it.
From another 60/70s geezer...these guys are the best, sans question. True rock and roll & meaningful. Best harmony. Just saw them...after 30+ years...awesome!
The first time I heard this, I felt shattered, and every time the same. Bonnie's voice imbues these songs with such vulnerability. Her version of 'Love has no Pride' another heartbreaker ❤
I listen everyday. Just bought the autobiography of Croz and Nash. These guys were my escape from reality when I was young and troubled. No bigger fan then myself. See you in Omaha in August, Graham.
Just found this piece couple weeks ago. What a discovery! So beautiful harmonies, lyrics and melody. I will cherish this particular track for the years to come.
Nash has said that he likes his music to be personal--it doesn't get much more personal than this. And I love the views of them in profile singing together. It's how I'll always remember them, now that Croz is gone.
I was lucky enough to stand about ten feet from the stage over 20 years ago and watch these guys showcase their artistry, from the first note, I got chills, imagining them at Woodstock and knowing for a fact I was seeing history and feeling some of the best music ever played. thank you guys, we love your music.

So many years wasted with petty arguments about trivial matters, so true! I love all their music, for they sing the truth!!! God Bless this gifted trio of artistic magic!!!❤❤❤
Too bad they didn’t practice a little more of what they preached - perhaps we’d have had a bit more music from them before it was too late. (I’m mainly looking at you, Nash and Young).
Back 9 years later (from my last comment). Even though it was already very unlikely, it's sad now with the final realization that we won't hear / see these 3 voice sing live together ever again. You can practice all you want, but these 3 unique voices just blended heavenly. I've played this repeatedly since the news yesterday of Croz's passing. Heaven may include being transported back to this performance.
When this song came out 40 years ago it just reminded me so much of my two best friends and I. We were in our 30s at the time and we're not quite where we should have been financially. I always wished we had more money to do more things that we love to do together. They are both gone now and I miss them so much . This song is how I stay in touch with them. one of my favorite songs from one of their best albums. Great performance too. Saw Stephen Stills live couple weeks ago. 70 years old and still going and still jamming on those guitars!
2 guitars and 3 guys singing and they sound better than 99.9% of so called artists of today with their billion dollars of electronics helping them! This is real music!
I've loved this song since I was a teenager. now I'm 50. Your beautiful harmony makes me thinking over my past time and feeling better. your sounds so so so good. It seems like you guys are singing in front of me, i live in South Korea, though far from your place. Thank you for beautiful harmony.
How odd. I've heard this song on the radio as far back as I can remember. I only listened to the words today. So appropriate as I am finally working on some old dreams at age 53.
Sure you've heard it so many times but of course you're right.. I was in college 1968-72 right in the thick of it, though I think we all just sort of took this remarkable time in music in particular for granted.. so much changing, such talented groups and musicians in the offing, just surrounded by it. So much water moving
Underneath the bridge
Let the water come and carry us away
Oh when you were young
Did you question all the answers
Did you envy all the dancers
Who had all the nerve
Look round you know

Look at all my friends who did and got what they deserved
