Today, I am sharing my deeply personal story because I hope that it helps the moms who are struggling with the trade-offs, of feeling not enough on either end, no matter what you do or how little sleep you get. And for those around them, who may not be aware of the struggle.
And for all of us, who feel at a crossroads and wondering what the tipping point looks like - both the visible AND the invisible.
If you want to talk, I'm holding space for you. It's an important conversation. My office hours (FREE) are linked on the website: erintran.com
Here's my follow-up to HOW I approached it:

Thanks for sharing. Spending time w family is valuable. As a 48y old single Dad I prioritized my kids during their childhood. My career/roles wasn't part of my identity. I viewed it as a way to support my lifestyle and kids. If someone asked me who I am, I wouldn't even bring up my job. Raising kids is so important these days.

Thank you for sharing. You are a rare one. I think so many of us have forgotten that in the race. I love your perspective.

Wonderful video! I'm at a career crossroads myself at the moment and a lot of this resonated deeply. Congratulations on living authentically in alignment with your values. It takes guts, but is so worth it.

Thank you! I hold office hours (coffee chats) on Wednesdays for anyone in the world that wants to talk through things (career crossroads is a popular topic at the moment) and want my perspective. Feel free to grab a slot (it's free) - link should be in description.

As an ND, my mom prioritized me and it made all the difference.

That’s amazing. Good for her! And good for you for saying you are. It takes so much courage, we still have a long way to come to embrace differences in each of us. 👏

Erin, this message really hit home for me. Currently juggling a very challenging corporate job while pursuing and fueling my interior design passion, makes it extremely difficult.
    Your words were very encouraging!

Hi Erin, thanks for sharing and it's a great video. I would love to see a video of how you actually walked away from the golden handcuffs. What decisions did you make, how much runway did you have, etc.

I have to go back to school to keep my job and income but I really want to go back to school to become a mental health counselor. I wish I could just find another job where I don’t have to go back to school and just go to become a mental health counselor!

Perhaps reframe it. Something like this. I want to help __________ because _____________. And then, how else could you help or solve that other than the specific job that requires you to go back to school? Check out my networking video…there might be some networking you could do especially around that specific niche that could allow you to see more possibilities or open doors that you aren’t aware exist yet. Good luck! Xx

You do the right things. Let your young kids to have early experience outside the u.s is the best thing you can give to them. They appreciate it when they are growing older in life. Time is matter.

Thank you for sharing Erin 🌷 Haven’t been to US yet, but I agree with 1:30 decision too (among the others) 🙂 Money is not everything, we only have #one life and we need to live it #now #today as we never know what tomorrow brings. Best wishes to you and your family 🍀🍀🌷💗
