I agree with this. I became a widow when I was 62 and decided to move back to Australia to be with my granddaughter and daughter. I was grieving but caring for my 3 year old granddaughter gave me a purpose in life and I felt freedom to live my life as I wished. In 2012 I met a man online, and we have been partners in life and love since. We dont live together but spend several days per week together. We have a loving and supportive relationships. Today we sat in the park, enjoying the sunshine and the trees around us, there was even a new Gymea flowering which we’ll watch its’ progress over the year. I think that maintaining a healthy lifestyle is very important, keep moving and eat well. I still cook and exercise 3 x times weekly at the gym . wth kettlebells. AT 82 I feel contented with my life - as the motto goes: “Have someone to love, someone who loves you, something to do every day or be responsible for and take care of yourself.”. How many people get married and wish they never was ( majority) In the Hindu tradition were a magalsutra and sindoor is so holy sign that a women is married …. No one wear it anymore in this century… Who are we kidding to just pretend …. Because everyone done it and I should to ( no I m not interested and I hope who ever had my destiny destined for … respects that marriage and kids this lifetime is not for me at all ) I like my alone time …. That last line is everything...."I don't have much, you know here, but I've got the whole world." If people would internalize even a small bit of that mindset, then they would be so much happier. That sets you on a path filled with gratitude, and it will change your life. The wisdom is staggering.
Yes.indeed, gratitude is something we should have every day. Be grateful for what you have, be grateful that you are alive, be grateful for simplest things.
Her "Memory Lane" is filled with precious people, places, and things that no one "can ever take away" from her. We all need that special place to travel in our hearts.
Probably reason why many people clicked on the link... it's still a nice video. Being careful in who you marry is good advice, despite her not mentioning it.
Mental health is important… of u don’t take care of it … no1 will do it for you …. Health indeed is wealth …. Without health u cannot thrive at ur best ❤
I came across your channel through this video-case studies are incredibly valuable, and I'm eager to see more in the future! Building wealth involves establishing routines, like consistently setting aside funds at regular intervals for smart investments.
You're correct. I think the smartest way to go is to spread out your investments. By putting your money into different asset classes like bonds, real estate, and stocks from other countries, you can lower the risk if one part of the market goes bad.
That sounds like a good plan. In the past two years, working closely with a financial market specialist, I've built a six-figure diversified stock portfolio. Now, I aim to diversify even more this year.
Talking about a financial market specialist, do you consider anyone worthy of recommendations? I have about 100k to test the waters now that large cap stocks are at a discount... Thanks
My CFA NICOLE ANASTASIA PLUMLEE a renowned figure in her line of work. I recommend researching her credentials further... She has many years of experience and is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market..
Wow, this made me teary-eyed. "When you take a rest, you're not being lazy. You're doing something. You're actually taking a rest." As one who used to get yelled at if I ever took a nap and was called lazy if I wasn't constantly doing something, I still get anxious if I think about a nap and feel like I should be doing something "productive" instead. But her simple little words just set me free. Thank you.
❤ my heart goes out to you. I hope that your body, your breath, your cells learn that you are ok when resting. That you are safe. That you are still a precious, valuable, lovable person when resting. It may take time and encouragement, like positive self-talk, making it extra cosy maybe with a certain scent or music or a candle, but I really hope for you that you find that peace and take it back. It was taken from you, take it back 🙏 have a good day
@@voyance4elle Thank you for your sweet words. I'm learning to find rest in the presence of God. The world is full of brokenness and sometimes it takes much of our lives learning how to undo the damage, but it's encouraging to know we're not alone. May God bless you as you have blessed me
I need that to sink in for me because I do feel guilty when I'm exhausted at 69 and I'm thinking of taking a rest from constantly doing things around the house, like cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc.
I WAS married to a man that would say to me if I rested “ are you sick “ and tell people we were around “ who her she’ll be in bed by 7 pm. I was exhausted trying to raise 2 children ,1 with special needs. Working full time. Trying to blend in a new marriage while dealing with my X husband. This marriage lasted 3 years. I just wanted to take the kids and go home and I did.
l am 78 & my husband passed out his body 6 years ago. I miss him but l don't grieve. Just the world of trees & flowers is lovely. Keeping that sense of awe & gratitude is key.😊
I have a question that I've been wondering for years. In these past 6 years without your husband, do you feel as if you have more time though your day to work on thing for you? Do it feel the same as when women get divorced? Although I know it's different because he didn't hurt you or leave you intentionally. But the time spent being a wife I heard is not the same when you're single. In your situation it's different of course but do you feel more alive and free??? Thank you in advance if you can answer my question. I really appreciate it.
Her husband wanted a divorce after 46 years and 6 children!? Now that is just silly. Definitely his loss. Well, she’s still here enjoying life. ❤ Miss Gladys is a sweetheart.
Hmmm I didn't see it that way at all. She wrote him a letter a year and thanked him, clearly she has found the value in finding her self. He obviously was not happy after 46 years of marriage and had the strength to pivot in his seventies to find that happiness, they seem to be both where they want to be, we only have 1 shot at this thing called life. the pursuit of happiness is your responsibility to yourself, try not to leave this world...wisha coulda woulda
Wonder too if her ex is still around... the divorce may have contributed to her long, deep and meaningful life... very inspirational lady... we can learn a lot from the wise lady ❤
She probably was a bad wife... the average man just don't leave his wife unless it's something drastic. Everybody had their story. She's older and wiser now.. so she talks a good game.
Inspiring. We can cultivate that, too. This is sometimes said to be a bad part of aging, that we get lost in our memories, but if we can do that, we have a place to go that nourishes us. We can remember better with practice. I also read that if we have music we love to listen to, it can energize us and improve our memory.
I love her mind at 103! She reminds me of my Grandma who died at 100 and who never got her drivers license so she walked her whole life and never took pills, she said they made her sick. She was independent until 2 weeks before her death. ❤
I am 72, alone and struggle with many medical conditions for over 30 years. It gets me down. Dear lady you have inspired me so. I will start placing things in memory lane. That is a good one. I have been without food three times in my life so even making a tuna fish sandwich brings me joy. I appreciate your advice and look forward to another 20 years. LD
This woman was endowed with a high quality genetic disposition. She inherited longevity because everything in her body works efficiently, her mind, definitely her gut and her spirit. She just banked on it and enjoyed it. She seems like a very nice person so I’m happy for her.
Nothing is 100% inherited, life style matters A LOT. It has been proven that your level of physical activity, what you eat, fasting, etc. influence (changes) your gene expression. You can reprogram your genes
A wonderful lady, Dr Gladys. My husband divorced me after 30 years of marriage. I can relate. I found renewed meaningful work and it is still carrying me through. Very satisfying especially in retirement. What retirement! Dr Gladys does not talk about her faith. If she were a Christian, she would. That is a concern. Where will she spend eternity? With God or without God. We are eternal beings. Without God is called hell. With God, she needs an entrance ticket. His name is Jesus. No one is perfect. We all sinned. Jesus paid the penalty for our sins. Is there any other religious leader that did that? Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by him. A quote from the Bible. I will pray for Dr Gladys.
I found this page without searching for it but it’s exactly what I was needing to see. I’m 44 & I’ve taken an unrighteousness beating from life and today is one horrific day. It always helps me to hear from someone experienced in suffering, as I’m just fighting to find the silver lining. I want to thank Gladys because what I’ve taken from her conversation is that there might be another side to this awful life for me. I struggle with the waiting. It’s been 20 years of abject cruelty & neglect & I’m now disabled & can see no way out. I have no real family or friends. There’s just me trying to make a way out of no way. Gladys is a beautiful soul who, in this moment of sorrow, is inspiring me to just hold on. I don’t know what’s coming…if it’ll be better or worse…but tonight, I’m trying not to give up in case tomorrow holds some hope I can’t see yet. So, Gladys, THANK YOU so very much! ❤❤❤
Keep going follow the light seriously I know what Gladys means I'm 63 and everything comes right when you are positive a good saying what's thealternativex
I want you to know that I’m 🙏 for you and I hope find hope and happiness. A little advice if I may…you’re 44 years young and as long as you’re alive you have a chance to find a way to be happy. I hope to hear that you are 💙
Being in my late 20s and always anxious and frustrated, I find this video to be a goldmine. No doubt life is tough but having the willpower and purpose can help overcome any obstacles.
Dr. Gladys said it best during the interview: contentment. It's about contentment. Yes, we have our ups and downs, but you MUST find the light and within it, contentment. That is the key to peace and longevity. 💜💫
You work for 40yrs to have $1M in your retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10K in a bitcoin from just a few months ago and now they are multi millionaires...🇺🇸

She reminds me of my great-aunt, who lived to 104. Another amazing woman with an amazing mind and attitude towards life. She didn't get to study past middle school but if she had been given the opportunity, I wonder how much more impact she would have had. She volunteered at a children's hospital, she had her own small business for a while, and she could crochet like no one. She crocheted my son's baby blanket when she was 99. Tía Chela, you would have been 110 this year. We miss you!
What a beautiful person! She’s a gift to those she touches. God bless her. I’m 52 and this interview reminds me to appreciate everything I have. Thanks for sharing.
Awww my great grandfather passed away at 104 but I was too young to ask him questions about life. This lady is lovely, absolutely lovely and so so happy I got to watch this video
We need our old people like this to give us wisdom, encourage us, give hope for the future and just pure joy to share time with. Thank you, a wonderful interview.
She’s soooo sharp! My goodness. Her pace of speech, her clarity, her mental processing power is just amazing. My goal is to live to 100 and I want to be like her with her level of health and mental clarity and strength when I get there.
My grandmother will be 103 October 2024. She is such a beautiful woman. You are 1 of a special group of people that are blessed to live into your 100s.
Example of being able to live with family support. Without her son, John, then unlikely she'd still be doing this well. Guessing her son is pretty old too. Good thing she has her mind so sharp. That's a true blessing.
What a beautiful accomplished woman not only as a professional but as someone who gives love and walks towards the light. I would have loved to know how she managed her professional life and having six kids. What strikes me about her is that she’s an optimist she refuses to sit in darkness.
Dr Gladys, you are amazing ! My parents were your brother, Carl’s students in India, at Christian Medical College Ludhiana. Dr Carl Taylor was my father’s hero. He set up a rural medical centre in Narangwal village in Punjab and my parents were in the batch of 1953 MBBS course. I am their eldest daughter. I am enriched by hearing you talk on UA-cam. God bless you, stay happy and healthy and involved. You’re beautiful. Sheena.
She's an absolute joy & I love her wit, wisdom, humor, empathy & her sense of fulfillment. She's a blessing to hear & see. Thank you for this, it is truly inspirational & needed. God Bless her✝️🙏🏼
Don't just live with gratitude everyday but feel a sense of awe over something everyday. For this beautiful lady, just waking up each day leaves her in awe.
She is so wise; look for the light instead of the dark! That’s exactly it in a nutshell. Second love; the love for oneself and others.. Laughter is so important and share… We forget as we get older to laugh, to be a child and laugh as a child…!
She is my inspiration. I'm 63 and have set a goal to try to live to 100. People always say... Why? Think about how OLD you will feel, you will probably be sick and helpless. Well maybe? but maybe not. Look at Dr. Gladys. I think setting goals mentally and physically, keeping mentally and physically active and having that wonderful positive attitude that life is amazing is what will keep a person going.
"Don't lose the light. Follow the light. And love is always the great teacher. So look for it. The hard times come, but they go too." - Thank you, Dr. Gladys. I think I really needed to hear that, and remember life is not a downhill slope forever, but it is made of ups and downs, stops and gos.

Just amazing lady! Gives us all hope. To think I sit and worry about getting older every year and this amazing woman at over a hundred years old is so grateful and full of light and love, makes me feel there is still time to do the things I need to do.
So much respect to this awesome lady for giving wonderful advice on how to live and love. At 103 years old, she is amazing and her children are lucky for having such a smart and lovely mom. Her heart twinkles even if she has wrinkles ❤
Oh my. This lady is going to make me cry. Her wisdom is endless. I really felt the part about looking for the light till you find it. It’s so true! Never give up, even in your darkest times. The strength you lend others will come back to you.
Good for her! I wish her many more happy, healthy years! Her husband did her a favor by divorcing her, which in itself gave her back her individual identity. ❤
She the cutest woman ever. She have lived and witnessed so much and has accomplished a lot. At her age to remember that much and still have ability to speak of how we all can make life a positive way of living, is so astonishing. Her knowledge is infectious. I could listen to her chat all day.🌈☀️🥰❤️
My Great Aunt died not so long ago and she would've been 103 this in December. She lived through so much in her life, though her smile would light up a room. Her laughter would fill a room. She never complained and loved all of us so much. She was always hopeful.
Beautiful interview. She is so inspiring. Love the 5L reminder. Also that labour without love is a grudge, I can see that in my life so much. Time to add more love to the things I do ❤️
Sprouht, you looked shocked that Gladys' husband found new love at 70. My mother got married again at 79! They were both widowed, had known each other for 25 years😅 but were married to others. They were adorable and so happy together! I see many who don't want another relationship. There are still people that do. And when it's unexpected, it's like one of those pleasant surprises in life that just happen. In one of your interviews, a woman said, and I'm paraphrasing, don't pay attention to lifes expiration date! I love that! The above is a great example. Love your vids. Always thought-provoking 👍💞
I took it that he was more surprised that he left her at that age . That he gave her up to find someone else at that point in their lives together. That’s what I got from it. I could be wrong. But yes, I do believe you can find love at any age. I just don’t think that’s what he was really surprised about.
I was just as incredulous that a man of that age would throw away stable family life for some other rando. It's one thing if you feel that life would be better alone but to leave behind stability to start over with someone else is a young fool's game...

The 6th L is Light 🕯️
the ANSWER is JESUS, not the LIFE ADVICE SHE gave
She said something like, bad times come but they also go. Love her.
I can’t stop crying. I miss people who have experienced much, written little, and can captivate you by recollecting an experience.
I learned that: It is not a lack of time, it is a lack of priority. Her mind is sharp!
This is gold. She is an absolute gem of a human.
"Look for the light, look for hope!" She is 103 and she is the light! I love her♥️
"LOOK FOR THE LIGHT!"👏 How you see things will determine A LOT how your life will be...
She looks SO GOOD in appearance and alertness! More people like her 🙌
Her mental acuity is really amazing.
Amazingly sharp and positive beautiful soul ❤️❤️❤️❤️🦋🦋
2:31 Look for the light in the darkest hours… her wisdom brought tear to my eyes.
me too
Her "Memory Lane" is filled with precious people, places, and things that no one "can ever take away" from her. We all need that special place to travel in our hearts.
true ♥
And she can go there whenever she wants to😪. Loved that and will start thinking that way too!!❤
She never said, "Be careful who you marry." It is odd that they put that quote in the thumbnail. It's a lie if it wasn't said.
Probably reason why many people clicked on the link... it's still a nice video. Being careful in who you marry is good advice, despite her not mentioning it.
He does that all the time …
Honestly
Hey yeah. Lol.
Wow, I totally forgot about that part and that's exactly why I clicked on the video. I seriously hate when they do that.

That's what my grandma told me too ❤
This actually crazy … to be able to speak and express herself that way at 103 what?! That’s amazing and it’s a real richness.
Thank you for this Pointer. It was easy to find your handler, She seems very proficient and flexible. I booked a call session with her.
Wow, this made me teary-eyed. "When you take a rest, you're not being lazy. You're doing something. You're actually taking a rest."
As one who used to get yelled at if I ever took a nap and was called lazy if I wasn't constantly doing something, I still get anxious if I think about a nap and feel like I should be doing something "productive" instead.

*Thank you😊 for this video, do you offer account management or have any recommendations?*
As a beginner investor, it's essential for you to have a guide. Myself I'm guided by Mrs Victoria Walters Hayward, a widely known consultant
If you’re using a good manager, it’s easier to earn from the market
That's true. a lot of people today have been
having lots of disappointments in trading in light of helpless direction and awful consultants
I've been trying to trade but I keep making losses and it's frustrating
Could you suggest a consultant for me?
Her husband wanted a divorce after 46 years and 6 children!? Now that is just silly. Definitely his loss.
Well, she’s still here enjoying life. ❤
Miss Gladys is a sweetheart.

'I have a place called Memory Lane that I can visit'
Such a joyful, inspiring lady!! May we all share joy, light, love and laughter!
Inspiring. We can cultivate that, too. This is sometimes said to be a bad part of aging, that we get lost in our memories, but if we can do that, we have a place to go that nourishes us. We can remember better with practice. I also read that if we have music we love to listen to, it can energize us and improve our memory.
She deserves to live to be 150 yrs old ! She has so much to teach the younger generations.❤
The very sad part is the younger generation could careless about about the lesser and their wisdom. It’s truly heartbreaking!
I love her mind at 103! She reminds me of my Grandma who died at 100 and who never got her drivers license so she walked her whole life and never took pills, she said they made her sick. She was independent until 2 weeks before her death. ❤
love it. What an inspiration 🎉
Mine also died at 100. Rare so see nowadays
LD
Her contentment, gratitude, and her willingness to look for the good in life is really powerful.
God please Bless and protect this beautiful woman!! She's incredibly inspiring!! 🙏🙌
I am in my 50’s and have to say Dr. Gladys definitely speaks volumes with her words of wisdom. One of the best interviews I have ever watched.
This woman was endowed with a high quality genetic disposition. She inherited longevity because everything in her body works efficiently, her mind, definitely her gut and her spirit. She just banked on it and enjoyed it. She seems like a very nice person so I’m happy for her.
She's also a woman. That's a huge part of it.
Nothing is 100% inherited, life style matters A LOT. It has been proven that your level of physical activity, what you eat, fasting, etc. influence (changes) your gene expression. You can reprogram your genes
Hater. She worked for her circumstances and did not simply rest on her genetics.

Example of being able to live with family support. Without her son, John, then unlikely she'd still be doing this well. Guessing her son is pretty old too. Good thing she has her mind so sharp. That's a true blessing.
I am sure that God would have done something because it was meant for her to live up to now.
What a beautiful accomplished woman not only as a professional but as someone who gives love and walks towards the light. I would have loved to know how she managed her professional life and having six kids. What strikes me about her is that she’s an optimist she refuses to sit in darkness.

The shock was probably leaving your wife of 46 years and 6 kids for another woman. It's not hard to believe you can fall in love at any age.
I was just as incredulous that a man of that age would throw away stable family life for some other rando. It's one thing if you feel that life would be better alone but to leave behind stability to start over with someone else is a young fool's game...
