"Out of this World" is a vastly underrated guitar-laden album.
Kee's solos are FIRE!
If you watch Norrum's live solos are up with the very best and similar to Stevie Vai.
One of my all time favourite albums
Kee has one of the best tones in the genre. Out of this World and Prisoners in Paradise are 2 of my 3 favorite Europe albums.
Bought the album when I was 11 or something after watching the Superstitious video on TV. I was crazy about it. Amazing band...
Yep. My favorite Europe album as a whole, even if The Final Countdown comes very close
That guitar solo is perfect.
Breathtaking. Masterpiece. Awesome melody. Genius. Virtuoso pur sang.
Wowser!
Norrum is up with the very best and checkout his live solos.
Kee Marcello is one badass guitarist
@@zainalarifin8149 He is in that 90's list of underrated greats like Nuno Bittencourt, Buckethead and Paul Gilbert.
Most people only know " the final countdown", but the real fans, know they are one of the best bands, ever! Here are some more awesome tunes: Cherokee, prisoners in paradise, I'll cry for you, let the good times rock, Open your ❤️ heart, halfway to heaven, tomorrow, talk to me, To name a few. Even the songs that were not singels, are just phenomenal, like " tomorrow "" , or " girl from Lebanon"!
All great suggestions!
A bit of hyperbole, yes they have some good tunes, yes they have a unique sound, but "...one of the best bands, ever!" Not hair bands, anthem rock, swedish rock, but best band? I think you would have a hard time justifying that on a one to one comparison with I would guess hundreds of groups anyone could name. I do like them, but not even the best Swedish band of all time.
@@rarelycares8416 they are amazing musicians, with amazing songs, and some amazing albums. Still recording and touring, 40 years, later. Yes, definitely one of the best bands ever. Even the songs that are not singles like " tomorrow", or " talk to me", are just phenomenal. Just because a band or so called ( musician), sells a lot of records, , does not make them good musicians. Europe, is a truly talented, and special band.
@@alexrossi4464 Totally agree, I feel like ppl only listen to what's popular & not give a damn about others work & mostly judge from one tune or an album
@@alexrossi4464 I didn't say they didn't have amazing music, I did say that I like them. I just think calling them the best band ever is a bit presumptuous. I really like Alan Parsons Project...would I call them the best band ever, no. It's not worth getting in a fight over something that is completely subjective...so you need to compare objectives and sorry but Europe won't win an objective battle with the Beatles, or the Eagles, or many of the other great bands out there.
Cherokee by Europe! 😎🔥🤘🎸
One of the most melodic guitar solos of the 80´s!
Glam rock was called "pudelrock" in Swedish, refering to the similarity between the dog poodle and the hair of the band members : )
That's hilarious 😂
Your next Europe reaction needs to be "Cherokee". You'll love it!! ✌️😃🪶
Thanks for the suggestion I listened. That song Cherokee it wasn’t good but I did find an old album that sounded like the band old band Winger so I’d recommend the songs “Gilr from Lebanon” “Bad Blood” “Seventh Seal” and “All or nothing” those songs Are heaters they also sound like that band Warrant
Cherokee is a great song! A definate banger!
Absolutely
Also, their song, Time Has Come, is a great one.
+1
Let The Good Times Rock by Europe! 😎🔥🤘🎸
Rock The Night by Europe! 😎🔥🤘🎸
They already did that!
@@alexrossi4464 I couldn't quite remember whether they had or hadn't until they mentioned it in this reaction video! 😎🔥🤘🎸
@@davidpalahinjak8954 .more Europe, stryper, 🚒 firehouse, would be good. They also have never done : TNT, danger danger, Saraya, Fiona, I love when they do the 80s. Hair metal or heavy metal like Dio, priest, Queensrche, iron maiden, etc.
@@alexrossi4464 FIREHOUSE ROCK! 😎🔥🤘🎸
@@alexrossi4464 DANGER DANGER! 😎🔥🤘🎸
Very Underrated Band from my Teenage years! Seen them 3 times back then in the 80's they were Awesome live!
Saw them live in mid 90s and again just a few years ago.. they are still great live! Joeys voice still holds :)
Joey Tempest has the looks, and the Voice! He probably made the girls "Swoon" in the 80's!
Oh yes he did, believe me!
@@jessicabaldwin6576As a 12 year old boy here in Sweden I remember seeing him on TV back in the days made me question my sexuality.
this song is perfect on all levels, the vocals, harmonies, melody, guitar riff, and the solo, oh my that solo!!🤘🤘
Kee Marcello is a badass player 🎸
So was/is John Norum!
@@gwts1171 If I had a top 20 metal guitar players thenJohn Nurrum is easily in that list and I'm talking about people like Vai, Schon, Van Halen e.g.
"Cherokee", "Seven Doors Hotel" are bangers from the old school days, recent ones are "Last Look at Eden" or their song from last year "Hold your Head Up" ❤
After the 3x platinum success in the US of Europe's 'The Final countdown' in 1986 and the massive world tour... the pressure was on Europe to deliver a follow-up record... But there were missteps made by the band that were avoidable when their 1988 album 'Out of this world' was released... Original Europe guitarist John Norum had quit the band after 'Final countdown' complaining that the record was too commercial. They replaced him w/ a stellar new guitarist Kee Marcello, but the band's sound was likely to change.
Europe enlisted producer Ron Nevison, who had scored major hit arena rock albums by Journey... Heart ... Survivor... But the music went in a different direction from the glossy sound on 'The Final countdown'... and 'Out of this world' was missing that expected anthemic track that had made the last album a classic... the album went platinum in the US w/ the singles - 'Superstitious' ... the ballad 'Open your heart' (which was re-recorded from their 2nd album 'Wings of tomorrow') ... and had stellar songs like - 'Sign of the times'... 'Let the good times rock'... 'Ready or not'... But sales of the record were less than 'The Final countdown'.
Europe spent the summer of 1988 touring w/ Def Leppard but decided to focus on new markets outside N. America ... They played Asia and returned to tour Europe in 1989, but they discovered that the album was not as popular and ticket sales were disappointing... By the time they turned their attention to N. America again in 1989, Europe's singles had failed to generate sales and the interest in the band had dropped in popularity significantly in favor of heavier rock bands like Skid Row, Guns N' Roses, Metallica, etc... So, a new tour of N. America was scrapped.
Europe tried again w/ the next album 'Prisoners in Paradise' in 1991, but sales were worse in the wake of 90's grunge rock taking over from 80's bands... Europe decided to split up in 1992 after the tour proved fruitless.
Europe reunited in 2004 w/ John Norum returning on guitar... but a different rock sound.
I knew you guys would love this song, its one of my faves and definitely a banger for sure, the lead singers name is Joey Tempest, had the biggest crush on him in the 80s.
Other songs of theirs i highly recommend are,
Love chaser,
On the loose,
Cherokee,
Danger on the track,
More than meets the eye,
Ready or not,
Time has come.
All awesome songs i think you both will love. 😎🎸👌
Time has come and Heart of Stone are my favorite. John Norum’s guitar solos are amazing.
@@nrdztx Yeah both are really good songs. 😎👌
Their last Billboard top 40 in USA, hit #31 in 1988. Listen to Cherokee by them next.
"Halfway to Heaven" by Europe (1991) - Guaranteed banger!!!
"Superstitious" was filmed at Castle Gould, on Long Island, New York...
The solo is top tier man oh my gosh 😤
Swedish royalty right there! Kee Marcellos solo in this song is easily one of my top 10 guitar solos ever recorded. Perfection!
The worlds most underrated band! Awesome live
i love this song and it has one of the best guitar solos of all time. I never could figure what happened with Europe. They had two big hit albums and then really just disappeared. The other great song of theirs that springs to mind is "Open Your Heart"
They had another album in 91 but didn't get the radio and mtv play they once had. They continued through the 2000's.
NOW DO ”OPEN YOUR HEART”❤️
That guitar solo….Definitely makes my top 10 list of guitar solos of all time.
John Norrum is up with the best and never gets the plaudits of his equals of his generation like Vai, Slash, Sambora e.g
@@ibrstellar1080Kee Marcello on that album, John had left to do his solo stuff.
Europe is in my top two favorite bands! I think Joey Tempest’s voice is so underrated in rock and roll. Although there isn’t one of there songs that I don’t like this was during the era that lead guitarist John Norum had been replaced by Kee Marcello. I’m definitely camp John. John has an awesome solo career as well as being back with Europe. Check out his solo songs “Back on the Streets” and “Let Me Love You” as for Europe with Kee Marcello my favorite song is a ballad called “I’ll Cry For You”.
They had such a great sound...Count Down sticks in my mind
80's HARD ROCK! 🔥
The 80s was just such a magical time. Never to be repeated. When I first heard this song on the radio, in particular the solo, it made me want to learn to play guitar so I could be a cool rock chick. I figured that when I could play this song, I would know I could play. Love it!
Always liked "Stormwind" and "Seventh Sign". Among many others.
I'll Cry For You by Europe! 😎🔥🤘🎸
Great song! My favorite ❤️
@@lorilemley5348BEAUTIFUL SONG! ♥️
@@lorilemley5348 BEAUTIFUL SONG! ♥️
Cherokee, open your heart are two great Europe tracks.
Europe, Firehouse… both underrated hair bands of the late 80’s!!!
Yes. IMO the most underrated was SAGA.
Also Thunder and Extreme.
Killer Europe track with fabulous guitar 🎸 🔥 work of Kee Marcello. Lovin' it since 1988 🤘🏻😊
Jay, you would have been in heaven to have been a teenager through the 80's rock scene. It was the best time to be alive, IMO. :)
Europe is such an amazing band, and there were almost countless other bands out there that rocked just as hard. The club scenes all across the US were lit up with soaring guitars and matching soaring vocals, pounding drums and slammin bass, with millions and millions of us kids from all different backgrounds, jamming out together. It was a powerful, loving, crazy time.
Let the good times rock will make you very happy
Ive been waiting for this one. My favorite Europe song ❤️
He has one of the best voices, and his looks make me feel a little weak in the knees 🤭
Love EUROPE and thuis is my favorite song
That guitar is incredible, that music is incredible
“Something as big as their hair.”😂😂😂 perfect Amber! 💯
My English was not as good when this song came out, so I had to look up what Superstitious really meant. But I learned something knew that day and I love the song.
The man’s name is Joey Tempest, does it get any more rock?! Listening to Europe is like an experience, you feel elated afterwards, it’s just such a feel good time! Oh and superstitions, maybe, a little, lol. Don’t stand on the cracks! They are there to test you! 😂
A great band that 30+ years later still produce great songs! 🎉
Joey Tempest (Joakim Larson) always tried telling a story with his lyrics. One of the band once commented that Joey spent so much time and energy on his songwriting that they weren't sure he even knew what city they happened to be in while on tour. I didnt care, they were the first rock band I seriously followed when I was a teenager because Joey was cute as hell. 😉
I forgot about this song! I loved it when it came out!
Tomorrow should be your next reaction with Europe. Its an amazing ballad song that really shows joeys vocal range. Sadly forgotten about. Europe is such a Great live band, still touring the globe after more than 40 years. Ive seen them many times over the years, never been disapointed ❤
Let The Good Times Rock is a real banger
gotta be the next...
I love the 80s almost as much as the 70s! Nothing today is anywhere near as good!
I love that I got to experience these two decades live!
That is one impossibly pretty man!
Another forever band! From 1979 baby!
They are still performing. You would be shocked at how they look now. No more big hair. Please check them out now
Definitely a banger
The best Europe Song ❤
you can never go wrong with an 80's hair band banger
This is actually one of my favorite guitar solos. Love the tone on his guitar
'Cherokee', 'Open Your Heart', 'Sign of the Times', 'Dreamer', 'Stormwind', 'Girl From Lebanon', 'Last Look At Eden', and the list goes on and on and on. They have great songs on every single album they've dropped.
Kee’s guitar solo in this song is amongst the best ever. It is used in many guitar schools across the world. It’s highly covered in UA-cam. It blew us all away when I came out for sure.
Joey Tempest has the 2nd best vocal range of that era losing out to Steelheart’s Miljenko Matijević. Joey is an amazing singer.
Great choice Rob Squad! I listened to this whole album over and over again my sophomore year in '88-'89
Super underrated melodic rock band and his voice is still 🔥
Another great songs by Europe:Cherokee,I'll Cry For You,Open Your Heart,Girl From Lebanon,Ready Or Not.
EUROPE is a really SOLID band. True talent throughout. Great songs, great hooks and they're fantastic live.
Joey Tempest is a great songwriter. Funny story: I’m a Roxette fan and Roxette used to do internet chats back in the days of dial up internet. Per Gessle used to hop on and answer fan questions. So I once asked him “what do you think of Joey Tempest?” I will never forget his reply verbatim: “Joey is very good, but very lazy”. Not sure what he was getting at, if from a work ethic or a music composition standpoint, but I love both Europe and Roxette’s songwriting. Do more of both please.
You guys really should react to cherokee by europe next
Killer Guitar Solo! 😎🔥🤘🎸
If you haven't checked it out yet, my personal favorite is Open Your Heart.
1988 version
My favorite Europe song
Europe! One of the big reasons to why we formed our band. They won the televised Rock-SM (swedish rock championship) 1983. Me and my bandmates were sooo blown away!! Still great band, great songs! 😍Cheers from Sweden.
Let The Good Times Rock is a fantastic Europe tune from the same album!
Possibly one of the most epic solos ever laid down!
Abba +Europe. From Sweden 🇸🇪
Amen thanks for playing Europe you guys rule
I'm so glad you guys got back to some Europe and some Hairspray 80s! Awesome!!
Europe has always been my top 10 band ever! I’m 53. And I know so much 80’s hair metal music. Y’all rock so much! Plz do some hardline music. Me and my wife love the ballad song can’t find my way. Plz plz do that one.
open your heart
Love love love Kee Marcello’s guitar solos. All his Europe solos are absolute bangers. John Norum’s too (the original lead guitarist).
Throughout the years, Europe is always been one of my favorite bands from the 80s. If you want to hear an absolutely rockin, tune, listen to let the good Times rock. Watch the official video when you do it… It’s awesome!
Now that's a guitar solo! Love, love this song.
The next Europe song to do is "Open Your Heart" (the 1988 version)... It's a melodic banger.
Europe is one of the great Swedish contributions to humanity. Although not a part of the "classic Europe" lineup, the Kee Marcello era is probably my favorite and the "Out of This World" album as well. "More Than Meets the Eye" is another banger. Well-produced and great mix for this record. The solo on Superstitious is world-class guitar playing. Thanks for reacting!!
Let the good times rock is my personal favorite and from the same album as this song. Another little more forgotten gem is On broken wings that are worth checking out and if you want a harder Europe I suggest Scream of anger! Enjoy your day and keep rocking 🤘
This is my favorite from them.
Seen Europe open for Def Leppard on their Hysteria tour, and they killed it.
Europe - More than meets the eye. Top shelf solo.
Let the good times rock ❤️❤️
If you like this, you will LOVE the band SAGA and their two best songs (IMO) "Wind Him Up" and "On The Loose". SAGA was similar to Europe but their musicianship is even better, if you can believe it, and they have a certain uniqueness that truly stands out.
Omg. I haven't heard this song since I was like 9. What a blast from the past. Nice!
"Sign of the Times" .... arguably their best
Thank you very much, I suggested yesterday
This is one of my personal favorites from Europe, My other favorites you should check are: Let the Good times Rock, Prisoners in Paradise and Hero.
If you want to check more rocking songs of Europe, then I recommend first two albums. Songs like Stormwind, Lyin Eyes, In the Future to Come, Seven Doors Hotel, Dance the Night Away, Memories, Children of this Time, Scream of Anger but also later ones like Heart of Stone, Cherokee, Ready Or Not, Got your Mind in the Gutter, Prisoners in Paradise as well as some ballads like Open Your Heart (version from Wings of Tomorrow album, not the music video on YT), Dreamer.
I loved the early Europe...they were more hard rock in the early days. you guys should check out Seven Doors Hotel...thats the Europe I love.
Core memory unlocked! Cassette in the tape player, rolling down the manual window in my '83 Nissan Sentra singing at the top of my lungs.
I played that album till it shredded in my car😂.
This album is a gem....probably in the top 5 guitar tone off all time. Recommand you should check next "More than meets the eyes" !
One of my faves, the best guitar solo.
One of my favorite guitar solos!!
Great album, listen to "Open your heart". Very explosive ballad.😊
Finally! Amazing guitar solo.
Godsmack, "Keep Away"
That guitar solo is 🔥
