"Pushit" from Tool's "Ænima album (1996).
The last Tool bass cover with tabs I'll probably ever post.. Well, unless they put out another album. Í don't think that's gonna happen though. Like I said before, I won't do Prison Sx because of the tuning and the timing in WIngs for Marie part 1 is just.. no thanks. So after 37 Tool covers, it's time to end the Tool era with one of my absolute favourite Tool songs.. Pushit! I've covered the whole of Opiate and Fear Inoculum. I've covered everything from Lateralus except for Schism and Lateralus, everything from Ænima except for 46 & 2 and everything from 10,000 Days except for Wings, The Pot and Vicarious. It's been quite something guys..
It's a pretty difficult song though. I think the most difficult part is actually knowing when to switch between parts. Like the calm bridge has 26 bars of that slide riff with delay/flanger. Good luck counting that. Same goes for the counting when Maynard has his own little solo before the heavy part starts. The time signatures keep changing there. As always, good luck and have fun.

When i found this channel, i binged Learning tool songs on the bass. I've always played them on guitar and drums but i never knew most of the bass parts besides Sober and Schism.

Thank you for all the covers, brother. Tool has been my all time favorite band/music for well nigh 26 years now..since the first time I heard Sober. Chancellor is the reason I wanted to play bass, because of what he brings to the songs. Your covers/tabs have been a godsend for me to learn my favorite songs to keep me out of the boredom rut and enjoy playing in the downtime! Salutations!

Man the studio version is one of my favourite songs ever.. The Coronavirus is uhm.. interesting. Seems to be just a lot of hype and panic about a virus that has like a 2% chance to be lethal. But we'll see. It might turn out to be quite the slayer in the end. It has reached almost every country.

Hey Leo I was wondering what mic you use for recording and the software. I'm getting into finally recording my riffs now that I have a PC and wanted to know how you get such a crisp sound. Love your covers man they've taught me so many of my favorite songs and I'm exited to see what you do next ❤️

I actually don't use a mic or an amp for my setup. It's just an audio interface (Universal Audio) that lets me use all these bass amp simulator plug-ins and effects (pretty expensive) while recording in my DAW that is Cubase. I have no idea which mic would be good for that as I've always done it digitally.

Thanks! Wings pt.1 unfortunately isn't going to happen due to the difficult rhythm/timing and the fact that there's no drums/percussion which makes it impossible to record over.

When you got that bass, did you compare it to the thumb? I have been looking to get that warwick tone but it is hard for me to tell the different Warwick's apart to know which would better suit me.
I did not do any comparing whatshowever. I thought this one looked nice compared to the others (I find a thumb quite ugly) so I went with the Corvette.
I have a hard time keeping up with the part at 6:07. I cant figure out how to count it out for some reason. What time signature is this?

Oh I do let it ring. I mean, the tab also says "let ring". Just never touch the A string basically

Your tone and that bass is bad ass tho. I have an Ibanez but I really want to get a Warwick. A WAL would be nice too but $$$$
