You tube picture updated ;Taken in Sardinia 2023 aged 65 63 years old and was diagnosed with heart problems, diabetic, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high sugar levels, and fatty liver, 19 stones =266 lb. went on a keto diet, then interment fasting and started walking every day. 8 months on now down to 85 lbs lost 8 inches around my waist, 2 inches around my neck. blood presser now normal, cholesterol normal, blood sugar stable, no more diabetes. walking now 6 to 8 miles every day 2 hours, sleeping better, eating one good meal day some times two. Only eat between the hours of 2pm and 6pm in the day. water black coffee or green tea for the rest of the day. have improved gut microbiome by eating more fibre both soluble and none soluble. Cut out alcohol completely for 6 months but now allow one small glass of red wine on Saturday and Sunday diner. fatty liver reversed . now 64 and weight steady at 202 Lb UPDATE 25/07/23 it's been 9 months since i posted and just thought you guys would like to hear how things are progressing. Now down another 12Lb and my body fat% is down to 18%, my goal is 15% I am on a 60 day carnivore challenge and feeling pretty good so far (5 day's in) still doing OMAD as well. Just had a Heart function MRI scan and the news was very positive indeed. given my condition the Cardiologist was very impressed with my heart function and flow rates. I have recently joined a gym and working on trying to build up some skeletal muscle and improve my cardio, still doing my walking, but now with a 5Kg weight in a back pack. Now 65 years old and feeling in better shape than i did when i was forty. I will admit i was a lazy couch potato and had to have a massive warning shot across my bows to wake me up. Trust me, if i can do it, anyone can do it, you just need to motivate your self you will feel so much better and be able to get off those meds. as always speak you're health care provider before stating out an any diet or exercise and start slowly but gradually build up to where you want to be. Wishing you all good metabolic health UPDATE 11/01/2024 Once again, can I thank all of you who have sent encouraging posts They really do make a difference. So, I was asked recently to make another update so here it is. Well, the holiday seasons has come and gone and like all of us, we all over indulged. I was pretty good over all, but still +5lb heavier. I have gone back to OMAD to lose those Pounds and already they are coming off. Last year I started to do resistance band training to try get some strength and muscle weight back on. So, I went back have been eating three meals a day (LOW CARB); bullet coffee in the morning at 6.30., 9.00 am some kind of 3 egg dish, scrambled usually. 2.00 pm I have a protein shake with three raw eggs in it, and dinner at 5.30 some meat or fish with either salad or green veg. I am trying to eat one gram of good protein for one LB of body weight. Saturday night is steak nigh and I have roasted meat on Sunday. NO Bread, NO potatoes or starchy veg, all low carb still, about 90% carnivore. I am now about 200Lbs (I am 6’4”) @ 17% body fat. I am starting to look a little fitter which is good but my main aim is to get stronger to counter any signs of sarcopenia which we all suffer from in old age. I am looking to get stronger bone density stronger muscles and reduce my risk for dementia. I will update again in six months to let you all know how things are progressing. In the mean time wishing you all happy New year and good metabolic health. Make 2024 your year for change..... 27/April /2024 Well, a lot of people have been asking for an update so here it is New blood test results CRP 0.58 Mg/L White blood cell count 5.3 albumin 40g/litre. HBA1C =4.2 MMOL serum TSH level 2.5 mU/l Serum Cholesterol 12.5 mmol Serum HDL 1.92 mmol Serum triglycerides 1 mmol Serum LDL 10.1 mmol So it’s been nearly five months since my last post and as you can see all is well. As a Hyper lean responder, I had expected my LDL to very high but my triglyceride to H DL ratio is 0.455 so no worries there. I have put on 10Lb of weight but mostly muscle as I now work out with resistance bands and dumbbells and bench bar. Blood pressure remains normal 110 /68 to 120/70 It was noted in one blood test my testosterone levels had dropped so I am on testosterone gel 2% to get my levels back up I am still walking between 8,000 and 10,000 steps per day sometime up to 14,000 on a good day My diet has slightly changed due to the muscle building phase i am going through (to avoid sarcopenia) so protein is now a large part of my diet. My weight is now 220 Ib, I try to eat 220 grams of protein to help build and keep my muscle mass up, So a typical day will start with High isolate protein shake with 4 raw eggs and creatine + L-Lucien, lunch is usually something like a ham and cheese 4 egg omelette and dinner is some kind of meat or fish with salad or green veg with usually avocado as well all low card but do cycle some carbs in on high training days. Sometime lunch’s will be canned salmon or sardines as well. If I need to top off the protein, I will have a protein shake before bedtime. I have started to notice my body beginning to shape up looking firmer and fitter. I seem to have good energy levels although getting up in the morning I am a little slow until I have had my bullet coffee but I am coming up 66 years old. Over all I feel so much fitter and leaner like I was 40 again. I would like to thank all of you who continue to post your comments onto me, I really do appreciate them so keep them coming I will always try to reply. I have said in the past if I can achieve this then you can, you will never regret changing once you feel the body lose it’s fat and inflammation A special call out to Dr Robert Lustig. Dr Nadir Ali who’s UA-cam pod casts keeps me firmly in the keto camp. Wishing you all good Metabolical health
@@jackieellison4596 Thanks Jackie, doing more research online to improve my lifestyle. I have the onset of arthritis from years of eating badly and sedentary lifestyle. Now looking how to minimise this by eating the right foods and fasting. Also, some supplements although I'm not a big fan of swallowing pills
After three decades of attempting to lose weight using low fat diets, I finally heard the words that changed everything - "You'll never lose weight until you heal your fatty liver". That was in June 2020. I began eating to heal the fatty liver, but over a few weeks, I began to learn more about keto and intermittent fasting. Over the next ten months, I lost 103 pounds and fixed everything - including borderline Type 2 Diabetes. I can also climb stairs without joint pain now. Two years later, I'm still on two meals per day and my weight is constantly healthy. I'm in the gym every other day and I hike for four miles on the other days. I feel cheated by the powers that be. To think that I was misled for half a century.
@@angelabilyeu2927 You're right to mention this and it's very sad that people still argue that what I'm doing is dangerous - including my own son. I suppose that I can only lead by example.
I was diagnosed with fatty liver disease at the end of September 2024. I don't drink so when my doctor commented on cutting back on your liquor really upset me. She had no suggestion as to what can be done to reverse or help it in any way shape or form. So I had to get on a journey of figuring out what to do for my fatty liver condition. Your information provided on fatty liver disease has helped and I'm grateful for that. I don't even eat a typical SAD diet. However, I've been on depression medications for the last 21 years. They definitely wreaked havoc on my liver condition. Thanks for your work and trying to be as accurate as you can be.
Thank You @juano816 so much for showing your appreciation and supporting the channel, and for helping me get the message of health out to the world. 🙏 🏆 😄
Dr. Ekberg, I was in shock when I found out that I had a fatty liver a few years ago because I never drank alcohol. I never heard of NASH before that. With all I've learned from you, I've lost 125lbs and almost in the normal BMI range. All of the good things you claimed that could happen did happen : No more fatty liver, no more GERD, depression, joint pain, facial breakouts, etc. I am 54 and female, so most interestingly the majority of the symptoms lumped into menopause are gone or much lessened. I honestly do feel better than I did in my 20's. just wanted to say thanks!
@@geod3589 He didn't really recommend it. he said if you can tolerate, use steel cut oats as they are not the worst and not the best. He gave them a red X
I'm taking 2 medication for diabetes and 2 for high blood pressure and my blood test shows that I'm getting worse. Thank God that I came across your videos so I am beginning my journey of transforming my life by changing my bad habits and lifestyle. I'm eating too much carbs and sugar. My doctors never explain anything but only prescribing metformin and insulin. Thanks so much for your unselfish sharing of your knowledge.
most doctors in some countries loose their licence if they don't prescribe insulin and explain to you the real facts. So they don't explain and prescribe...
Aaahhhh !!! Come on. Dr. Ekberg , fatty liver IS CAUSED BY DRUGS. PHARMACEUTICAL MEDICATIONS ( drugs ) of various drug classes CAUSE FATTY LIVER DISEASE ( NAFLD , etc . ) And it takes many years , if at all , to reverse the condition . To do so ( regain health ) you must also completely abstain from alcohol and all similar substances.
Replace your diabetes meds with Keto/low carb diet. Drink only water, coffee, and tea. Eat good fats like avocados, extra virgin olive oil, broccoli, and salmon. Eat 1 High fiber fruit like blueberries with breakfast and avoid cancer and diabetes.
Thank you! I love how you explain things for your videos! I managed to improve greatly my health only in 3 months, after learning so much from your videos! Lost weight, liver enzymes and triglycerides are in norm, reversing fatty liver and metabolic syndrome!
Thank You @mladenmladenov4854 so much for showing your appreciation and supporting the channel, and for helping me get the message of health out to the world. 🙏 🏆 😄
Good to hear and in 3 months! Amazing. I think I have Alcohol Fatty Liver with elevated enzymes 6 weeks ago, I stopped drinking and thought I was on a diet untill I just watched this as been drinking lots of sugery types of coffee and putting normal dressing on salad, I'm in pain if I eat a fatty food but just starting to exercise now (I was in bed 2 months with 4 herniated discs) which is really helping but I'm still worried. Stay safe and continue your diet with good exercise and a few cheat days lol God Bless.
I am healthier at age 63 than in past 40 years thanks so much to you Dr. Eckberg. Still learning every day but when I started on this journey a year ago I was ignorant to so much truth. Eternally grateful for your knowledge and excellent videos!! 👍❤️
The exact same here Maria. Great video Dr. ! ! I have NAFLD from Hep C which was treated, but later caused liver cancer. I am now cancer free. Amen ! ! The Hep C almost killed my liver, but it's still working and I am on my way to eating healthier. Videos and the advice from healthcare professionals like you are a tremendous help ! !
One year ago I had liver surgery to remove several neuro endocrine tumors. I went off the deep end after and ate poorly. Two months on keto and following you’re advice. My recent scan is clear and I feel great! Back on my bike riding and no longer have a swollen abdomen. Thank you! PS: blood glucose is always in the hundreds.
I have been sharing your name to people I run into ( Walmart). I have followed you for the last year. I have lost 30 pounds, have energy like when I was 40years old. I am 71. Thank you for these powerful videos that u r sharing to the world. Your information has changed my life. THANKYOU
Keep up the good work what do you eat for breakfast Cause when I go to the store I really don't know what to buy anymore I always find myself buying the same things over and over can you help me
@@mello6536 Search online for low-carb breakfasts, and keto breakfasts, or meal plans for people with metabolic syndrome. People who listen to this often skip breakfast to do intermittent fasting.
@@mello6536 If you want to "Play it Safe" Just eat a couple of eggs for "breakfast" hopefully your "breakfast" is after lunch (if you catch my drift) ... Eggs are healthy, keep insulin low, have all sorts of vitamins and also keep the hunger away... Can't really go wrong with them.
I am glad more viewers are helping me plug Dr. Ekberg. I feel with all my heart this is the truth or far closer to it than my other doctors ever are. Also, its obvious that he is teaching us these concepts himself and not plagiarizing some better doctor directly.
Doctor I think my main takeaway from all your teachings is that your body is the most amazing creation and if given the proper nutrition and exercise you can improve your health and your happiness. I am approaching the age of 73 I have always been health conscious but never had such a great teacher. My last two years I've showed a great Improvement.
I want to say that you are so right about fruit being unhealthy. I was one of those people who thought natural sugars were harmless! I went on a rawfood diet and was juicing and making smoothies every day thinking i was getting healthier! Was feeling great at first, my skin looked great, was losing weight even! Then it all went down hill. I flooded my body with so much sugar from juicing that I ended up with insulin resistance with hypoglycemia, my blood pressure went through the roof, 220/115. I was having anxiety attacks, tachycardia and dry mouth. Went into the hospital and had high cortisol, low potassium. Doctors were clueless. I was specifically told that it WAS NOT my diet. Prescribed anxiety pills and blood pressure meds. I threw them in the trash and did my research. I had to figure out what was wrong with me on my own. It was very scary. Only thing that reversed it was going low carb high fat for life.
Hey there, I was thinking the same. I been doing green smoothies which I add spinach and 3-4 diff fruits. I recently found out it’s not good. We all think fruits are good. Like u said feel good at the beginning. I guess if u make a kale blueberries smoothie which is good. But overall limit fruits. Hope u got better. Prayers.
This is an extreme diet though, and juicing and smoothies makes the sugars exponentially more available to your body. Whole fruits in moderation are very healthy. I also wonder if there are long term effects of low carb high fat. At first it can help because it’s no sugar but you may be missing out on things in long term
High carb ,fruit juice and fruit especially banana and mango and vegetables oils and package milk and contaminated water along with doctor medicine especially antibiotics for gastric ulcer and non steroid drugs for allergy worse my normal fatty liver into liver cirrhosis.and vegetables oil too
Thank You Junior Mentor, Esq. so much for showing your appreciation and supporting the channel and and helping me get the message of health out to the world. 🙏 🏆 😄
I have lost 40 pounds this year following you, and people look at me like I am crazy when I tell them how easy it has been. You are so educational and explain everything so well. I am so grateful I found your channel. Thank you. Side Note if you read this, my husband was looking for vegetable oil the other night and I was like oh I got rid of that months ago. Dr Eckberg does NOT approve!!! Changing not only my life my families life.
You're the only one who helped me become healthy by providing knowledge that made a difference. My GPs never talked about what you're talking about. You're lightyears ahead of so many MDs. I started following your advices about 3 months ago, and I'm down 33 pounds. Thank you.
I was told I needed to do something about high chloresterol, bad blood sugar levels, blah, blah and given the usual diet and advice I tried but it made no difference. I then discovered that if I ate a three egg omelette with melted full fat cheese, gently fried in butter or ate the crap allowed by the deit, my chloresterol levels didn't change. And even if I ate no sugar and had the allowed slices of awful wholemeal bread, blood sugar didn't improve. Until I discovered that cutting all starches and fruit out did make a huge difference. I eat all other foods I fancy but only in minuscule amounts and not too frequently, including as alcohol and pure black coffee, which I'd had since early childhood because some Mediterranean parents feed kids these daily for good health, in weak doses. Few end up as alcoholics, unlike in Anglo cultures. Alcohol and coffee are treated with respect, as natural medicines/drugs, not to be overdosed on, abused. Moderation.
LFT had my enzymes over 140. Was shocked. Completely cut out booze, fast food, sugary crap and soft drinks etc. Ate Omega rich foods, eggs, salmon, tuna, sardines, spinach, kale, broccoli, chicken (plenty of protein), coffee, green tea. Limited carbs but still had whole meal bread, white rice and pasta in moderation. Supplements included fish oil, Wheat Germ powder, curcumin and Swisse liver detox tabs. 6 weeks later and LFT was completely back in the normal zone. It does work. Think the most important thing is the intermittent fasting to allow recovery; fasted 5pm-7am daily (14 hours a day). Oh and minimum 2L water a day too.
I’m 46 and I came across this video and it save my life I didn’t know that I have fatty liver I really enjoy watching your videos very knowledgeable I follow all the steps mentioned on the video and now I feel like a new person lost weight and energetic
Amen brother! 🤜🤛 I need this info and so do those who come to the Emergency department where I work. I inform patients all shift long they they have fatty liver. They are scared and don't know what to do. So I share your YT videos. Now they have hope and proper direction to heal themselves! Thank you for these high quality information dense YTV.
Thank you, Dr. Ekberg for another great video. I've lost 12.6 pounds in the last month due to your excellent information. I am on the OMAD diet and constantly working on lowering my carb intake. It's hard but it can be done. I still cheat sometimes, but I can quickly get back on track and I am still losing weight steadily. I can't tell you how happy I am to have found your channel. Thanks so much!
@@Om-abdulrhman How do you define intermittent fasting and OMAD. What are you eating for your medium meal? Have you listened to all of Dr. Ekberg's videos on this subject?
I discovered your videos while searching for a way to detox from sugar and have been binge watching you all afternoon. Thank you for your content. I've learned so much about nutrition for health and weight loss.
Dr. Ekberg I must say that your videos are some of the very best, and informative that appear on social media. I feel like I’m back in college with a professor that requires me to do my own work. Many pcp’s simply give a cursory explanation of what may be happening, but rarely involve the patient in correcting their bad habits that may be the cause of most of issues. Doc, thanks again for helping us with common sense.
Thank you so much, Dr Elbert. I am so grateful for all you teach us. You make so much sense. I thought I lived very healthy, but you changed the way I ate and I am hopeful I will restore my body, according to your advise. I live in a lot of pain and will do what ever it takes to get healthier. I have been on intermittend fasting which got my high blood pressure down to low and I lost already my big tummy. I am stunned how easy it is to change like that. Now I will try to reverse my fatty liver and pre-diabetis. I am 80 and survived cancer twice without chemo or radiation. I can be very determined. I just wished I could get rid of my painful autoimmune disorders. Sadly cruciferous vegetables are not good for my thyroid goiter.
Another functional doctor said that if you got autoimmune disease then your Vitamin D intake must be higher 20 or 40,000 IUs. I have bad Osteoarthritis hands, low back and right shoulder so last Dec 2022 I up my Vit D to 10,000 IUs and I feel good. I am 73 and 120 lbs. on Vitamins supplements only. Doing IF, lectin free diet and no bread, class exercises 5to6 days a week. I have more energy now than when I was on my 50's. I owe it from all this free videos of wonderful functional doctors.Thank you!
So appreciate you are including meat and eggs, as I recently found I was Insulin Resistant which answers the question of my NAFL (fatty liver), and I got a book "Why We Get Sick" by Bitman to help; he says the same as you say about what to eat. However, my doctor's statements about what to do are parroted and not what she has investigated. It seems that doctors today are woefully underprepared to deal with HEALING, but ask them about a test or drug...they got that down, but none of that heals anything; it just propagates more side effects and income for pharmacists. Thanks for the sober way you present this so it makes sense. You are on the right road.
I can’t tell how much I respect this gentleman. I have share his videos and have echoed his message more times than I can count. I’m 60 and in perfect health. People ask how I do it and thus I reference Dr. Sten
Very good presentation. Thank you for posting this amazing health information to help people who suffer! Over the past several years I have slipped back into eating too much sugar and carb rich foods. It has made me very sick feeling like my brain is poisoned. The symptoms are depression, lack of motivation, mood swings and just overall poor quality of life. The sugar and high carb denial is absolutely the strongest form of addiction. Your videos are so clear and concise that it helps break through that denial. I started back eating properly three weeks ago and my brain is now feeling clear again and I am very grateful. Please listen to this Man and don't fall into denial about sugar and carbohydrates. If you are sick be very strict about your diet and dont give in to the temptations because in time your body will heal itself.
I have been eating steak, pork, and olive oil nearly every day recently - sometimes with eggs and sometimes without. I am back to the same weight I was in 1994 and my sodium levels in my blood draw chart were actually lower than desired range. My blood glucose was the only number that was slightly high and for the most part my fatty liver has been healed. And because the protein is filling me up I do not even want the carbs most of the time because I feel full. Thanks for all your valuable information. I am sure it has made a difference.
Drop the swine, they eat dead pigs, they don't sweat out their toxins, they eat their own urine and turds and everything else's turds, maggots or anything else filthy that they can chew. We are what we eat.
Anyone else find themselves filled with JOY, finally hearing clear facts about how to take control of our health from this wonderful guy. Thanks so much for making our path to health , so understandable and caring about us. 🥰
Thank you Dr. Ekberg. 6months after being diagnosed with NAFLD I found you. I immediately watched all of your videos and followed a strict diet on the foods that you suggested. Just got my results back from my latest blood tests and they are now within normal limits! My liver has responded well in reversing the fatty liver issue! I can't thank you enough. I did not lose as much weight as I had hoped, but I did lose 10lbs. See I've only gained wt. in the last 10 years...first time ever being overweight. And I HATE it! I miss me! I am disabled and have mobility issues, but have been pushing myself to be more active. I was bad...I actually had my first piece of toasted bread with honey in over 6 months yesterday...But I will not go back to eating the poisons I know now that are going to damage my liver and body again. Now if I can just lose wt! Nothing I do seems to help me. Help!
I appreciate your kind suggestion.@@etaandtaz5867 Thank you! But I found I trust Dr. Ekberg more. There have been things suggested by Dr. Berry that I don't agree with always. I have tried the carnivore diet, but I always get so sick from it. It hurts my kidneys. Back when the Adkins diet came out I got on board as I was just starting to put on wt. even though I was still active and working. I just put it down to being menopausal. I'm past that now, and still battling extra wt. but I live a very immobile lifestyle. Homebound and mostly bedbound. I try to do as much as I can, but I pay for it! At least I have reversed the non-alcoholic fatty liver. I've cheated several times over the holidays...bad me! But not gone overboard. I ate bread the other day and boy have I been paying for it! I simply wanted a fried egg sandwich so bad! So I had one. I'm getting over it with my IBS medication. So not worth it! I had a pork chop and some wilted greens for dinner. I feel pretty good tonight.
@lorenrobertson8039. I too struggled with weight loss, but since having a mainly carnivore diet and eating only twice daily, I'm losing weight easily and feeling satiated. I am slowly exercising more too; I have problems with hip flexor muscles which are quite painful, so I'm taking it slowly and also doing some resistance band exercises which I do with youtube videos. Best wishes.

How long did it take people to realize how bad smoking was for the body? How long will it take people to recognize the terrible affects of sugar and processed foods? Many doctors are pushing for gastric sleeve surgeries... amazing. Thanks for helping people to get healthy without expensive surgeries!
I used to have pain in the top of my liver. A finger wide and only there on the top. The best medic I could find told me it was phantom pain. Imaginary. Since I don't drink I was reasonable convinced and never complained again. But, after a mix of keto and very low carbs (love guavas and fat milk), I lost 22kg and the pain was gone. I'm trying Dr. I have a fatty liver but never drank Alcohol but I ate tons of candy and sugar as a kid. It's hard to cut that out of my daily lie even today. I watch your videos and it give me a direction to go because most Dr. I've gone to blow me off and tell me not to worry about it and never tell me what I can do to reverse it or help it.
I haven't ditched carbs but ive cut back on alchohol, sugar, junk food, do 5 days of eating in a 6 hr window & 2 days 24 hr fasting. I don't exercise but I'm steadily losing 2 or 3 lbs a week & don't feel hungry.

If we detox or liver can it also help reverse fatty liver? I develop diabetes and type two and it took nine months of fighting with the hospital to get help and then the medication didn’t work. I was pretty poor and lived off the cheapest foods. At the time of getting sick I turned gray and I couldn’t keep anything down and I had gained 75 pounds.
Fantastic video! I've been struggling with a fatty liver, and this information is a game-changer. Thanks for highlighting these superfoods! 🌿💪 Additionally, I've found incorporating green tea, garlic, and beets into my diet to be beneficial for liver health. Have you considered doing a follow-up video or providing more suggestions in the future? Keep up the great work!
Great Jon! I lost 116 pounds from MEMORIAL day in 2020 during Covid shutdown. Didn't work out. Gyms were closed and it will be 3 years this month. I was 326 at 6ft2 and I'm now around 215 cause my weight fluctuates and I eat alot of superfoods
Congratulations! Share what u did. In the last 2 years I've gone gluten and starch free. Also intermittent fasting. 6' and was 193 lbs. Now 180. Only 13 lbs in 2 years.
Thank you Dr. Stern. The information on the lake and fish drives the message home loud and clear. Much appreciated from a South Pacific island country.
Good stuff Doc! Your a god send! I already knew all this, because you’ve been educating me for the last 21/2 years. Thanks for saving my life! God bless you sir!
63 years old and was diagnosed with heart problems, diabetic, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high sugar levels, and fatty liver, 19 stones =266 lb. went on a keto diet, then interment fasting and started walking every day. 8 months on now down to 200 lbs lost 8 inches around my waist, 2 inches around my neck. blood presser now normal, cholesterol normal, blood sugar stable, no more diabetes. walking now 6 to 8 miles every day 2 hours, sleeping better, eating one good meal day some times two. I applaud you!! 👏 I have tried mightily to control the hyperinsulinemia and be a good steward of my body as you have. I'm 68yrs and lost 105 lbs using I.F. and ketovore a few yrs ago. I ended up with chronic A-fib which I attributed to a huge magnesium/potassium imbalance, if not, probably huge deficiencies. I really pushed the fasting to insane levels which resulted in weakening my body. This time however, I am enjoying my Himalayan pink salt and I only fast 16-17 hours before eating. OMAD was not for me. I cannot exercise 😫 much now with chronic osteoarthritis up my spine, (Everywhere, but my ankles, Doc says.) But I'm doing ALL I can using diet this time around. There's so much relief in losing even 40 lbs. Everything improves, and movement gets easier.
I love that you’re trying to help us with the information you’re giving us. Just like my Doctor Who has no restrictions it’s very easy for her to say no carbs. No fats, no sugars artificial sweeteners are a no go to. Also avoid salt. I came out of the office thinking all I can have is water and black coffee, no wait that’s gonna be eliminated too because of the caffeine. The instructions are given sometimes are impossible to Sustain the rest of your life
Caffeine in cofee or tea over stimulates brain nerurons thereby has some subtle damages in de nervous system & overall general health. People are addicted to it so they try to justify this strong caffein stimulii.
Ya it’s crazy how difficult it is to eat healthy. I’m a lifelong vegetarian but I also can’t handle gluten so that pretty much just leaves me with fruits, veggies, beans, nuts, and rice. It’s so difficult 😞
The thing is how bad you want to be healthy. You are not asked to cut all of them at once. You must start somewhere. What this doc gives a lost of worst to best food for one who has or believes to have a fatty liver. Chose why you want to start with and see how that works for you then decide how you want to proceed. How do you think the folks with Type 2 diabetes live giving all the restrictions they have to be well wit their condition?
Very enlightening! As my doctor is old school and got me to cut out what comes at the top of your list and wanted to prescribe some Statin which I refused to do,so I will return to enjoying meat and eggs with my cruciferous vegetables ! Thank you for a great video !🤗
I've been watching Sten for several years now back when he wrote his slides on whiteboards. Last weekmy co-worker and I had an ice-cream. I said to her that anything we eat in the next couple of hours will be stored as fat because our insulin levels are elevated and the reason people do not lose weight is that their insulin is programmed by the media and the FDA to eat every few hours never getting our insulin to go down, keeping us overweight and the pharmaceuitical companies profitable. As a school janitor people are often surprised what comes out of my mouth 👍
A video about pancreas and the importance of digestive enzymes would be awesome. I just found out how important they are for good sleep, strength, etc, because some of us are on the keto diet for health and digestive problems and not being able to absorb nutrients properly is a huge pain.

The pancreas is a very important organ but it doesn't get the attention it deserves. If your pancreas goes, unlike your heart, kidney or liver, you can't get a pancreas transplant, though I heard genetic engineers are trying to grow human pancreases in pigs using genetic mutation techniques so they can then transplant these pancreases into humans needing new pancreas. In the interim, we need to take care of the pancreas we have. But most of us do on't know how, what foods help or destroy it.
As always doc Ekberg being my pastor for my church. He’s been my religion since i started my new lifestyle about 5 months ago. Now I’m 70lbs lighter and going down!
I've never tried OMAD & wonder how you can eat enough for the day in one meal. Would you mind telling me what you eat? I eat 2x brunch 4 slices bacon & 2 fried eggs & supper around 7:00pm 1 ribeye & fried egg, or pork belly, or lamb, chicken. I also drink 1xactimel & 1 Costa flat white daily. Thanks.
Que calidad de Dr y de contenido .... Extraordinario.. un placer poder aprender de un profesional tan preparado ... Mil gracias... 🙏 Y ... Gracias por traducirlo al castellano .. 😊
Dr Ekberg, you’re so thorough and I love your videos! Please make one on NAC. I’ve begun taking and have had some side effects. Not sure if a sign of detox or a bad thing. Would love to hear what you have to say on the subject!!
Dr. Eckberg, thank you for this video. It is very enlightening. I began to eat a healthy paleo-type low-carb diet and have lost about 70 lb that I couldn't budge before. I wasn't perfect in my dieting, but I did pretty consistently keep low carb, no grains, healthy meats, healthy vegetables & fruits (I did eat a fair amount), and EVOO - and the weight came off. I am smaller than I have been in the past 28 years! However, I am not well. I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2016 and still have it. It acts more like LADA. With the diet and weight loss, my blood sugar should have returned to normal, right? It did not. My blood glucose is consistently over 200 no matter what I eat or what I do, exercise included. I have sweet/carb cravings, especially in the evenings, and since having gotten sick with covid, they are much worse than before. Since covid vaccination, which exacerbated the diabetes disease for me (I didn't have it before but now have brain fog, very low energy, decreased muscle strength, susceptibility to even low amounts of stress, and blood circulation problems resulting in peripheral neuropathy). Also, I was first diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, then gained a lot of weight, then later was finally healed of the Hashimoto's, but after a year or so, I was diagnosed with NAFLD and Type 2 Diabetes. My question is this. Can I be healed completely of what is wrong with me? I am at my wit's end. Doctors don't help. My symptoms worsen no matter what I do. Please help me.
Who would have guessed that online advice would be infinitely greater than that doled out by the medical establishment? My eternal thanks, Dr Ekberg. You have helped me change my life.
God bless you Dr.Ekberg for healthifying the humans around the world . Your research , analysis, and presentation of a subject makes you " OUTSTANDING " . love ❤️ your videos and I am on time. 🙏

UPDATE 25/07/23
it's been 9 months since i posted and just thought you guys would like to hear how things are progressing. Now down another 12Lb and my body fat% is down to 18%, my goal is 15%
I am on a 60 day carnivore challenge and feeling pretty good so far (5 day's in) still doing OMAD as well. Wishing you all good metabolic health
UPDATE 11/01/2024
Once again, can I thank all of you who have sent encouraging posts
They really do make a difference.
27/April /2024
Well, a lot of people have been asking for an update so here it is
New blood test results
CRP 0.58 Mg/L
White blood cell count 5.3
albumin 40g/litre.
HBA1C =4.2 MMOL
serum TSH level 2.5 mU/l
Serum Cholesterol 12.5 mmol
Serum HDL 1.92 mmol
Serum triglycerides 1 mmol
Serum LDL 10.1 mmol
So it’s been nearly five months since my last post and as you can see all is well. As a Hyper lean responder, I had expected my LDL to very high but my triglyceride to H DL ratio is 0.455 so no worries there. I have put on 10Lb of weight but mostly muscle as I now work out with resistance bands and dumbbells and bench bar. Blood pressure remains normal 110 /68 to 120/70
It was noted in one blood test my testosterone levels had dropped so I am on testosterone gel 2% to get my levels back up
I am still walking between 8,000 and 10,000 steps per day sometime up to 14,000 on a good day
My diet has slightly changed due to the muscle building phase i am going through (to avoid sarcopenia) so protein is now a large part of my diet. I have said in the past if I can achieve this then you can, you will never regret changing once you feel the body lose it’s fat and inflammation
A special call out to Dr Robert Lustig. Dr Nadir Ali who’s UA-cam pod casts keeps me firmly in the keto camp. Wishing you all good Metabolical health
Proud for you
Keep going strong,champ

You and millions of others! Congratulations on escaping the medical matrix.

My doctors never explain anything but only prescribing metformin and insulin. Thanks so much for your unselfish sharing of your knowledge.
most doctors in some countries loose their licence if they don't prescribe insulin and explain to you the real facts. So they don't explain and prescribe...
That's true... Doctors don't survive their jobs if they reveal the cause and prescribe lifestyle change....😊

Aaahhhh !!!
Come on. Dr. Ekberg , fatty liver IS CAUSED BY DRUGS.
PHARMACEUTICAL MEDICATIONS ( drugs ) of various drug classes CAUSE FATTY LIVER DISEASE
( NAFLD , etc . )
And it takes many years , if at all , to reverse the condition .

My last two years I've showed a great Improvement.
yes, I agree
А что, пить овощные соки с зеленью не дано было? 😮
Hey there,
I was thinking the same.
High carb ,fruit juice and fruit especially banana and mango and vegetables oils and package milk and contaminated water along with doctor medicine especially antibiotics for gastric ulcer and non steroid drugs for allergy worse my normal fatty liver into liver cirrhosis.and vegetables oil too
Yeah... and vitamin A is unhealthy too, because if you eat ungodly amount of it, you will die. Fruits are very healthy in moderation.

You're the only one who helped me become healthy by providing knowledge that made a difference. My GPs never talked about what you're talking about. You're lightyears ahead of so many MDs. I started following your advices about 3 months ago, and I'm down 33 pounds. Thank you.
Hi
Well come
I was told I needed to do something about high chloresterol, bad blood sugar levels, blah, blah and given the usual diet and advice I tried but it made no difference.

For a week, I tried intermittent fasting, one medium meal, but my weight did not decrease.. How do you lose weight?
Please are u feeling any pain from the fatty liver?
@@onyinyenwokolo7124 , thank you for asking. No, I have no pain from the fatty liver.
Another functional doctor said that if you got autoimmune disease then your Vitamin D intake must be higher 20 or 40,000 IUs.

Since I found you I lost 30lbs. Thank you for saving my life! And thank you for explaining things in a simplified way for your viewers. 👏👏☺
Thank you
Hola Sten, saludos desde Bogotá Colombia. Gracias, con tus exposiciones estás salvando vidas. Sigue adelante. Tú proyecto es necesario más que nunca.
Now just swap out the steak for fish and you will be even better!

Help!
You might want to check out the carnivore diet and weight loss-
Dr Ken Berry has info on line.

Thank you Dr Ekberg, in six month I lost 33 kg. I am feeling much better. I have a fatty liver and I am trying to fix it.
Your passion for promoting wellness shines through in every article. Keep it up!
As always doc Ekberg being my pastor for my church. He’s been my religion since i started my new lifestyle about 5 months ago. Now I’m 70lbs lighter and going down!
We need to be healed of our sin sickness. Jesus is the only one who can do that. Repent and believe.
@@ckelly864fuck jesus. Religion is just a hobby.
Amazing point about Reverse vs Maintenance, thank you for this Doctor. Most people skip his part
That jelly bean comment got me good. I’m down 135lbs 9 months and my father reversed type 2 diabetes also 9 months. Keto and OMAD :)
And yet, fake science tells us it's impossible to reverse Type 2. So much for them.
Congratulations!!
@@boink800 I think it's not possible to reverse type 1, but type 2 has always been able to improve or reverse
Very comprehensive and easy to understand information. Thanks a lot Dr. Ekberg.
Dr Ekberg, you’re so thorough and I love your videos! Please make one on NAC. I’ve begun taking and have had some side effects. Not sure if a sign of detox or a bad thing. Would love to hear what you have to say on the subject!!
He covers NAC in the link at the top of this video.
This is one of the best nutritional videos I’ve ever watched. Outstanding. Subscribed and liked.
Lo he vuelto a ver y .. en verdad un excelente contenido y calidad ... Desde México... Mil gracias 🙏 y gracias por traducir todos sus videos ...😊
See your doctor again. You may have type 1 DM afterall
You need to go to beef, salt, water only for a week....then start adding a few things back in
Hoping you get answers...
You mentioned nothing about exercise
@@muddyguns with peripheral neuropathy exercises is very difficult, the pain can be intense.
Who would have guessed that online advice would be infinitely greater than that doled out by the medical establishment?
My eternal thanks, Dr Ekberg. You have helped me change my life.
Pura verdade,
A very good presentation Dr. I do appreciate the work you do to keep us informed and interested
This is the most informative video I've seen so far regarding hypothyroidism.
Thank you for showing me how to add years onto my life! I followed your advice and last year, brought my sugar count down and I lost 16 lbs. 🥰👍🏻🙏🏻
God bless you Dr.Ekberg for healthifying the humans around the world . Your research , analysis, and presentation of a subject makes you " OUTSTANDING " . love ❤️ your videos and I am on time. 🙏
Thank You Abdul Gaffoor. I'm so glad you found it valuable and I appreciate the feedback. 😄
Yes he is the absolute best on the internet. 💗
@@SOZO_xo he is the mercy of god for all humans , we all must pray for his health and happiness.
@@abdulgaffoor178 I could not agree more. I no longer have to take type 2 diabetes medication, nor cholesterol medication nor high blood pressure medications. I found his channel about a year ago and, at 65, feeling more healthy than I have in three decades. I credit his knowledge and powerful common sense videos. Love this Dr. 💗
