    Kenny Clark in a one gap scheme is going to be fun to watch.

    One man was responsible for the Gaints loss and that's JOE DINGLEBARRY!!!!! He let Tommy Devito throw for over 80% completion percentage, have a QB Rating over 113 and he let him run for over 70 yards on only 7 carries........ WTF

      The players weren’t on the field I guess. It was just Joe out there right?

      @@TheBrotherHoodSports What do you want from players when they are setup to fail?? Joe Dinglebarry never has had a top 20 defense before or after the packers. He will probably never get another coordinator job again some coaches are just better positional coaches and they need to stay in their lane. Can’t wait to see how Jeff Hafley puts his blueprint on this defense this year and educates his players and puts them in the best positions to succeed and not just run some defensive scheme that is supposed to Work on Paper I guess…….. lol GO PACK GO

    I think my wildcard/X-factor for this season is Rashan Gary. If he can take the next step and become a consistent havoc-wreaking 13-14+ sack guy, i think that's how we push the D over the top.

    I like Corey Ballantine. He's a very good backup. A "glue" player.

    According to Next Gen Stats the player with the fastest recorded speed on the 2023 Packers was Eric Stokes. So despite his injuries and playing in only 3 games (including a game of only 4 special team snaps) I think we can put any concerns about him losing his speed to rest. Here's a quote from Jason B. Hirschhorn on The Leap:
    "Though Stokes didn't play much last season, he showed more explosion than one might assume given his injuries. Next Gen Stats clocked Stokes with a top speed of 21.70 miles per hour, the top mark recorded by anyone on the Packers in 2023. That figure only trails last season's top speed for Tyreek Hill, widely considered the fastest player in the NFL, by 0.31 MPH. Stokes obviously needs to stay healthy for his speed to matter, but the radar gun suggests he hasn't lost a step amid his injury woes."

    You can't really say the packers figured out Watson or stokes until they actually play some meaningful football and see if they can still stay healthy, hopefully they will. GO PACK GOOOOO

    Stokes has the potential to be another Sam Shields. He has the same speed and athletic ability, but needed a little more muscle, and improved ball skills. If he worked on his strength and ball skills, and improved, he could be a dog, and the Pack could have a stellar outside corner pair.

    The Green Bay Packers best NFL draft pick at the 18th overall pick since 2015 was Jaire Alexander. At draft pick #26 was Jordan Love, followed by Kenny Clark at draft pick #27. Also under consideration but not selected was Rashan Gary at 12th overall. Jaire Alexander is a 2-time 2nd-team All-Pro and will look to get back to that level this season after dealing with injuries in 2023. Despite a rocky season, Jaire Alexander finished last year, strong, holding opponents to 6.8 yards per catch with an interception and pass breakup during the Packers final 3 games. Jaire Alexander has now carried that momentum into the offseason. Helping Jaire Alexander get back to his All-Pro form will be Jeff Hafley’s vision-based defense, which should play to Jaire Alexander’s strengths while giving him and his counterparts more turnover opportunities. After some early growing pains last season for Jordan Love and the young Packers offense, he played like one of the better quarterbacks in football down the stretch. From weeks 15 through the playoffs, Jordan Love’s completion rate of 71.1 percent was the 2nd best in football. He would also rank 3rd in yards and 1st in touchdowns while throwing just 2 interceptions during that 6-game stretch, all while being the most blitzed quarterback in football. The next step for Jordan Love in his progression will be maintaining a high level of play for the course for a full season, along with countering the defensive counters and doing so relatively quickly. Opponents have now had a full offseason to watch film and see what Jordan Love and the offense does well and where they struggle. Defensive game plans in 2023 will be centered around taking away the former while stressing the latter, and Jordan Love will have to adapt and adjust on the fly. Lastly, Kenny Clark is coming off of one of his most productive seasons as a pass rusher, recording a career-high 7.5 sacks with his 66 pressures being the 6th-most among his position group. However, in Jeff Hafley’s attacking one-gap defensive scheme, there is the potential that a more disruptive version of Kenny Clark could be unlocked, with the defensive front as a whole being much more proactive in this defense rather than reactive. Go Pack Go 💚💛

      I will believe in Stokes when I see it. Coaches coach, players play. His play is why the team didn’t pick up his option. Andy selling hopium based on how he’s looked in shorts.

      @@WoodyZappa1actually you missed the entire premise of the conversation all together. I said nothing about what I expect from Stokes this year or anything about how he’s played. I said he’s been a “winner” this offseason because they didn’t bring in more competition at the position and seems to have an inside track at the starting corner spot. It’s not about performance on the field or expected performance…

    • @WoodyZappa1
      @WoodyZappa1 Місяць тому

      Andy, at 8:35 you start selling what I mean by Stokes hopium, asserting GBP has “seemingly figured it out” with his injury problems. That conclusion could only be based on Stokes in shorts. I understand the point of today’s piece. Listened to all 38 minutes. Great work, as always. Thank you.

    I really think Brian's confidence comes in with 23 & 21... I believe the"house money" is on 23 & 21 😮 to be so good. Everybody else is not going to be that important. Plus, with our safeties now. Idk, I'm not that confident in that theory, js. It can work, not saying that. Just worried on the %'s, that's all.
    Either way, I'm crazy excited for this year. All bs aside, We got a REAL chance at bringing it back home!! JS!!!!
